Amazing view, good drinks. A must for visitors.
Great location and lots of security. Clean rooms with great views.
Amazing rooftop views! Friendly service staff.
All inclusiveness. Nice staff. Big rooms.
Great location. Clean. Good place.
Great location, friendly staff, nice room, comfy beds.
Standing at the check in counter with my boss for a conference with rooms that are prepaid, we have been here 6 hours, he still has no room, they finally assigned him a room that was occupied. Also here’s my fabulous $300+ a night view.
Friendly staff! Great view from Cityscape bar.
Spotlessly clean rooms, great beds & pillows.
can't fault the hotel & staff.
only down side was price of drinks in Skybar, plus the $30 gratuity they added on. Also, they can close the Skybar for private parties!
other than that, enjoy.
Beautiful hotel and wonderful friendly helpful staff.
I couldn’t ask for more for this Hotel! Staff are very friendly & fast service. Great location & easy access to everything esp at the union square.
The gym is AMAZING. The best hotel gym I’ve been in and better than most regular gyms I’ve belonged to.
Great location minutes from everything! And lots in walking distance. Love tower two!
Fantastic location, friendly service, comfy beds great place to stay.
Definitely I’m in love with the room a had
Very beautiful view, excellent service ❤️
This is not your regular Hilton hotel. This is a very high-end property that you will love. Cheap it is not but very, very professional.
I cannot rate this Hilton Hotel a 5. It was hard to believe that there were only two double beds, not queens in the rooms. The bathroom was very small. No curtains and only transparent blinds so could not sleep as the light came in from the surrounding buildings. I have been staying in different hotels from Australia to here and this has been the worst hotel and the most expensive. The hotel lobby is like a fish market, too big and too many people. Except the location nothing else is nice about this hotel.
This hotel is an excellent location if you are a tourist. This is a large hotel. It’s located in union square where there are plenty of shopping areas and places to eat. I stayed for work and have been to this hotel before. I have always had great experiences. You are also near public transit and several car rental companies across the street. The hotel has 3 towers, tower 1 is the tallest and offers the best views in my opinion. If you are a Hilton honors gold member or above you receive free continental breakfast or drink coupons. The rooms were very nice and the in my photo is from the 29th floor in tower 1 facing north. Overall t.
This is a large hotel in the Union Square area. The place has a huge lobby, and a bar square in the middle. From the looks of things, the hotel is very popular with tourists, as the lobby was always packed with them. There is a very nice convenience market to one side of the lobby. You can find wine, beer, cheeses, fruit, snacks, etc here. The market also has a coffee shop and a cafeteria style hot food bar as well. The gym is equipped with very nice equipment, although it could use more free weights and benches; there are only two benches. I cannot comment on the restaurant or pool as I did not use them. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. I had a room in tower which faced the street; it was somewhat noisy. However, I've stayed in tower as well, and tower is quiet. Overall, very nice hotel.
Got a nice view from our window. Location is convenient for Bart and it is walking distance from some nice shopping districts as well as the cable cars. Maids were nice when we requested service after regular rounds. Rooms, elevators, and lounge are clean. Complementary breakfast got smaller, though. No longer drink, pastry, and fruit from the lobby store for two. Just $20 every day. Also, definitely not a cheap hotel. Overall a great stay, though.
We were here as part of my husband’s birthday celebration. We booked it as such, booking a skyline view room with a balcony. Our room was on the 42nd floor. As Hilton Honors members, we checked in with the app, used a digital room key and checked out via the Virtual Concierge. It was all very seamless. The free bottled water and Wi-Fi were icing on the cake. Our next Hilton is in Miami. Looking forward to it.
Great location, clean rooms and excellent service. We had a great time. I was pleasantly surprised about the pool. Because San Fran isnt very warm, the pool temperature is cranked up a bit and it felt great! The view of the city from the top floor is amazing too. I would definitely go back.
Great location, every part of the city is within walking distance.
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had, both regarding hotels and service! When checking in I was offered to upgrade my room for "a special price", 20 dollars per night instead of the usual 50 dollars. I did this, but when I looked at my bill after checking out from the 4 nights stay I saw that they had debited 50*4=200 dollars instead of the 20*4=80 that they said at check in. Note that I never asked to be upgraded, but the staff told me that they had a specia… Continue Reading.
Very professional and cooperative staff. We drove in due to the Yosemite fires and they accommodated us last minute notice.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel with phenomenal customer service. Our room was beautiful. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is because they don't have room service between 10 a. M. And 6 p. M. And because I wish they had better breakfast service. We were there for a convention and there were very long lines to get coffee and food in the morning so we walked elsewhere. Lots of places nearby. Everything else was perfect and City scape views are pretty amazing.
This has been one of worst hotel experience I have ever had with Hilton group. Except the great location, there is nothing to compliment our stay in this hotel. First the checking in; We traveled from North Carolina to SF with whole family (7 people) including a young child. We arrived at hotel at local time around 10.00pm, which was East time nearly 1.00am. Despite the fact that we had pre checked in and obtained the rooms of next to each other, the staff was taken more t…han half an hour to give us the room keys, and the rooms were not even next to each other. The amenities; The hotel is lacking of some basic amenities for such hotel of hilton and for the price we paid. For example, there is no water boiler or room slippers etc. When we requested some more bottles of water, we were told that " you can drink tap water ". The room; The two queen beds we booked felt more like two super singles. Throughout the night, we could hear our neighbours watching television. The breakfast; As a Gold member of Hilton, we have always received complimentary buffet breakfast for every person. In this hotel, however, we only received 4 sets of breakfast that included a pastry, a fruit and a coffee or tea, which was only worth $10. My family and I have stayed in a number of Hilton groups hotel. This hotel doesn't seem to be part of Hilton, and they don't have a sense of service. I must say it is disappointing experience for us and certainly not worth for the money.
Average Hilton hotel in San Francisco. All in all, not much to complain about except for the parking. The parking garage here is really narrow and confusing. The parking spots are not only tiny but placed in such a way where a large car could block you into some spots, making parking here stressful. However, there is easy access from the parking garage to some rooms which is nice for those staying in the hotel. Also, the parking was really, really expensive (although I guess it is San Francisco) which made the trip into the city add up very quickly. That being said, the meeting spaces were roomy and generally pleasant. All in all, not a bad experience.
Great location, definitely worth paying to be close downtown. We had a beautiful view of the city from our balcony on the 42nd floor. We also enjoyed the views from Cityscape, the bar on the top floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We spoke with the front desk/reception, bell desk, doorman, and valet. We also enjoyed the texts from staff. Very helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. My only complaint is that the bathroom didn't have a fan. The room steamed up with the shower running, so a fan would've been good to clear the mirror.
It was such a great time at this hotel. The folks that worked there were so accommodating. The breakfast in the hotel bar/restaurant was awesome. The view at the top of the hotel was so beautiful. What a great experience. Great walking distance to a lot of sights near by like Union square.
Decent hotel. Staff was nice. Great views from the upper floors. Only downsides were little dated rooms and hallways. Crappy blankets. Towels were not very soft. And it's on the edge of the bad part of town. Don't go out the front and go left!
I cannot rate this Hilton Hotel a 5. It was hard to believe that there were only two double beds, not queens in the rooms. The bathroom was very small and designed terrible, when reaching for a hand towel to dry hands after washing, water got all over the toilet seat.
Almost midnight, hungry, decided to grab a bit at Herb and Kitchen in the hotel lobby. Opted for the mac n Cheese and the half chicken, split between two of us. The mac n cheese was actually better than expected, could have been baked a tad bit longer. The chicken came with potatoes and carrots which were both cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. In fact they almost upstaged the chicken, which was cooked well, and with a bit more thought put into the seasoning, could have really been exceptional. The price, with drinks, was just over $50, a bit steep but considering the late hour, this was a fair price for a meal that exceeded both of our expectations.
The top floor for a beautiful sunset with a glass of champagne.
It's not my hotel style. Despite being very nice and luxurious, I prefer something more collected and charming.
Nice location. The city's view is awesome from high-floor rooms. Front desk clerks were welcoming and professional. Also the Poached Restaurant we're I had breakfast. Although I did presence an uncomfortable incident… I saw one of the waiters that's sneezed way to close to the riches of a table.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… The hotel was clean and nice, very big but signage isn't exactly clear when it comes to finding your way between towers. The lobby bar isn't open until much later in the day, so it's hard to find a meeting space for smaller meetings that isn't the restaurant. My room was near the elevator and you could definitely hear that throughout the night. But it's a very clean hotel, with friendly staff and close to a lot of things. Enjoyed my stay there!
Love the location as it is easy walking distance to ATT park for games and lots of dinning int he area. Parking for the hotel is extra, and even with a complimentary breakfast buffet, you end up paying some extra at breakfast too.
Expensive parking (that's SF though). Rooms are comfortable. Could use a good cleaning. Visit Cityscape for fantastic view on top floor. The hotel is so huge, it's easy to get lost. Location is convenient.
The Hilton Hotel am Union Square is a super Central hotel. The rooms were nice sized and clean. At one point or another it needs some minor repairs… Throughout I was very satisfied but would have expected more for a Hilton hotel. The entrance hall unfortunately reminded me a bit of a station hall… very noisy and very lively.
Had a bit of a tough time checking in, but once inside our room we were very pleased. 43rd floor has outstanding views of the city day and night. The bed and pillows are great! Had a wonderful sleep! Staff friendly, breakfast staff at Poached was also great! The hot breakfast was full of choices. Bacon, sausage, hotcakes, French toast, etc. The steel cut oats with lots of toppings was a favorite. Our meals were comp'd so that was even better! I'm only taking off 1 star because the walls are too thin! We could hear everything next door. Nothing rated R (thank God! ) But we could hear conversations and so that was just weird! Aside from that I would recommend this hotel close to everything and I'd stay again.
Overall good service with super nice staff. Easy for uber drop-off. Huge lounge for quick meetings with friends :) Food and coffee inside the hotel so that you don't have to leave the place for a late night food (as the district is not that safe). 在联合广场附近的住宿好选择哦,有保安看门非常安全,里面餐厅、deli店、会客厅一应俱全,走路街角就有便利店。
The rooms were nice but very very old, the Wi-Fi is overly overpriced 18 dollars a day really not nice here. In addition, all this can only be paid with card. I want to get away as soon as possible… So here's more sham than his.

Very friendly staff. Great location. :) only, opening the Windows is not possible.
In the middle of the city. The greeted hotel complex on the West Coast. Spacious rooms, clean. Many restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity.
' High cost, zero service! ' The reception of the hotel is similar to a station hall — we had to queue for the check-in, even with a high Hilton status level (Diamond) … apparently far too little staff, I really haven't experienced that.
We had booked a double room with single beds — it was a large room with simple furnishings, mattresses for my taste too soft.
Generally, the hotel was laid out in the hallways with older carpets, valves in the bathroom were calcification, some black hair on the white towels. The service was poor: Breakfast exclusive, Wi-Fi only due to status and parking very expensive (the public parking garage opposite costs $30 less to you night) for us the hotel was a pure thing.
Only the view was great there on the top floors, we were Sylvester there for fireworks.
Good mini Market in the hotel — but really expensive.
Great accommodations as expected at the Hilton! Friendly staff. Perfect and fast room service. Checking into registration was and breeze and Nora was very kind and assisting with getting me checked in. I had an amazing time on the 46th floor and I have to say "WOW" an experience of it's own. Excellent service. Beautiful views. Strong drinks. Overall a win!
Attended the Saastr 2018 conference. Ten thousand people in this hotel's meeting spaces is not good. Way too many people for the accommodations. Place was a fire hazard around the clock and shoulder-to-shoulder in and every hallway. Anyone suffering from claustrophobia would have had a hell of a time participating in this event. The hotel alone is awesome. Rooms are great. Staff was great. The main lobby bar was good place but again there was a thousand people at it, about 900 too many.
Very nice hotel. The breakfasts are wonderful.
Beautiful indoor area. Nice restaurant. Great location for visitors to shop on short notice. Fantastic for the business or pleasure persons. Lovely decor. Extremely helpful staff.
Very good hotel, a location privileguada for cone wr the. I go to San Francisco.
Full center! To a step of all! Very good value for $$ quality, he does not lack self! Has the market very expensive.
Great place in San Francisco, and with real espresso coffee…!
We had drinks at Cityscape and overall loved it. The views are amazing and it was surprisingly easy to get a table at 7pm. The only negatives were that it was freezing in there and the cocktails are way over priced. If you're willing to spend $16 for a cocktail and some pretty cool views I'd say it's worth it. Try going at sunset too that's the best time.
The hotel is top class. However, the location is pretty lousy.
Very good location. Room and small bathrooms.
Very good location Rooms very good.
Quiet, comfortable standard room, suitable for 2 people. Centrally located, restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Good level for US, even if quite expensive. The most of the Cityscrap, the bar with a breathtaking view of the entire city, with plenty of room, a must do when you come to San Francisco. The rooms are all clean and finally big enough.
Nice and well organized… Too bad the Wi-Fi is just paying and pretty pricey. Is free only in the lobby.
Very good quality Hotel. The panoramic bar is worth a visit!
Amazing staff. Room service and cleaning crew is on top of their game. So super nice. If you want honest suggestions for good food places to eat and directions to best places to hit in the evenings, go to the "bell hops" / "luggage guys" (apologies for using such terms for such awesome guys). These guys will point you in the right direction. Much appreciated.
Was only for work here, but it is a nice hotell and the city is also cool.
It is not a good place for a stay, because they do not have courtesy or give you a bottle of water for free, the parquin is very expensive and the breakfast not to mention, before breakfast, ask for that, by any cochinada breakfast which was 2 eggs, 2 hotcakes and 2 orange juices and a little fruit charged us $100 can believe. For 2 people. Before take breakfas ask about the price because is too expensive, they dont tell you anything, for 2 breakfast I pay $100, its impossible for 2 eggs, 2 orange juice, 2 pancakes. Sorry but its true.
In 2 words: a dorm. Hotel Gigantic 80 's located in great location. Confusion, dirty corridors, "aseptic" staff. It's really not worth it. The only positive note is the Sky Bar, which is also accessible by non-customers. To avoid certainly in the future.
Hotel immense, gym open 24h, only flaws rooms a little ' dated and poor supply of shampoo, bubble bath etc… great location to visit the city. In the vicinity there is everything: bar, supermarket, restaurants.
Excellent service. Beautiful views. Strong drinks. Overall a win! You'll feel like you're above the world. Are drinks expensive here? Sure, but it's totally worth it for the experience. Yelp and Google have it listed as open at 4:30pm but they don't open until 5pm. If you're nice to the security, they will ley you up early. Enjoy the beautiful views!
Clean room without more. You shouldn't have looked in the corners.
No Office baggage service, pity for a sign like "Hilton".
Very impersonal.
Lobby always "Busy", buzzing, good meeting place.
Well placed.
When we arrived, our booking wasn’t in the system. Somehow, they managed to give us a room, but it didn’t have a kings size bed as we booked and it wasn’t at one if the higher floors, so it was pretty noisy and our view wasn’t as nice as we hoped it would be. The room was pretty big, which was nice, but we didn’t care so much about — a bigger bed would have been nicer. In addition the room was tight next to the ice machine, which was really loud at times — especially late evening and early mornings. The handle from the shower knob fell off and it was so dirty… the vent in the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in months, I assume, the on/off switches of all lights had a lot of fingerprints around, which was really disturbing… Otherwise, the room was nice, but for the rate they charge, I would have expected a spotless room. The staff was helpful, but not very professional. But the person told us, that he us pretty new at the hotel. Oh well, that is understandable than.
I enjoyed my stay because of the helpful staff. Dog friendly and clean. And centrally located. The concierge was nice to open my wine because I am a klutz. Best clam chowder downstairs in cafe.
Convenient location a few minutes' walk from Union Square and Powell Station. The rooms are small, but modern and efficient, and some have nice views of the city. Only stayed one night so I can't speak to the hotel restaurants, but the front desk was helpful and friendly, if a smidge brisk. Really no downsides, especially considering the rate I got — the only thing is that the room I stayed in was on the verge of being too small.
Overall, not the greatest stay. The line to check in was huge and took about 30 minutes. Longer than the security check line at the airport earlier that day! When we first arrived at the airport, we saw that the line was huge so they encouraged us to leave our bags, go shopping, and come back, which we did. When we came back 2 hours later, the line was just the same. They had 5 people helping the line for Hilton honors guests (which was still a very long line), and only 3 helping EVERYONE else, a very frustrating experience, I have never experienced this at a hotel before. Aside from that, parking for one night was $65, the one phone call I made because I couldn't find my phone was $7, and the mini bar wasn't even stocked. The location is walking distance to Union square but on the border of the crappy part of town so I wouldn't wonder in the other direction. Oh and breakfast is $45. Prepare to have them nikel and dime you.
I was in the hotel for a conference and the organization very good. All the rooms have a good audio and a good screen.
A strange problem is not providing a shuttle bus to the airport. Otherwise, everything is good, rather on the contrary — very well, you feel like a man!
Comfortable, cosy, impeccable.
No breakfast but nearby there is place to buy.
Spacious.
Roof top exciting. Beautiful to see.
The check in process was very slow we waited about 20 minutes for the manager to authorize rooms we got to the room and it was very dusty with lots of dirt on the tables and on the sheets.
Beautiful hotel very luxurious although of course nn is newly built.
Great location.
Check — in process went quickly even though it was a Friday afternoon. The lobby is very nice and spacious with an open lounge in the middle. The room was on the smaller side but very nice and updated. The bathroom had a sliding door that was a nice utilzation of space. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. It was the second Hilton I've stayed at in a month and they are very consistent in very nice quality.
The carpet in the hallways is dilapidated and the staff is not empathetic. Very expensive Parking $55/day and exorbitant breakfast compared to Europe for the same hotel class.
Very good hotel. Renovated room in executive floor. Very comfortable and quiet despite being in the center of the city. Heated pool We were able to enjoy and excellent location just steps away from it all.
Nice sized and clean room, comfortable bed. The hotel location made it easy to get to some nearby attractions via walking and it was easy to catch a ride outside the hotel as well. Was only disappointed there was no free breakfast options available.
The service is excellent, the cost is a bit elevated for the room, the location is great as it is very central and the view of the city is spectacular, the only bad thing is that around there are many beggars. But all in all it is very good hotel.
Very nice hotel. The bar at 46th is a must.
To the Hilton Hotels Union Sq, San Francisco — We ask for blankets 2 times. About 1 hr they came. We said: forget it! — Our day to explore the city went from about 9a to 7p. We think room service broke the shade… and nothing was done to repair it! We had to call room service. — We complained about the loud music and the noise. Apparently, there was a party in the ballroom. Security said it was 2 floors below us! Repair: — sink faucet is loose — recommend: one more shower robe hook, one more wall hook.
First stay in 2005, room was great. Stayed in two different rooms coming in to San Francisco checking out then returning for departure the following day. Both nights, the bathrooms were very small to tiny. The hotel does have an espresso bar however it isn't on the same level as even an independent corner espresso coffee shop and was extremely overpriced. However, staff is very friendly and do their best to assist patrons with anything they may require especially the concierge desk. Assisted with free business center for printing boarding passes and low cost transportation back to the airport. Love San Francisco; the Hilton is in the financial district with several rental car agencies across the street. Excellent hotel security for outside the hotel moving the undesirables along so as to not bother hotel patrons. Would definitely stay here again.
A good hotel close to Union Square. Assolutamante by Undare is the bar in the Tower 1 on the 46 floor, a beautiful view at 360 ° of the city!
Good location, clean rooms.
I loved my stay at Hilton SF Union Square. The room was clean, all the amenities were great. A tablet with dining guides was available. Check in was pretty easy (although we were there on a holiday weekend so it took a bit of time) and the staff was nice. Everything was near the hotel so that was also a perk. Herb and Kitchen was the bomb. We loved their food. The one complaint I have is probably the sounds from the ice machine that spilled through our walls. It sounded like someone was trying to get in our room every 10 mins or so.
Solid 4 star hotel. My room and bathroom were clean. Check in time was ok. Concierge was knowledgeable. Personal concierge through text was convenient for requesting room cleaning while I was out of my room. Location is great if you want to be near Union Square for shopping. Public transportation is accessible as well. Self parking is expensive, but there is self parking that is cheaper across the street. Overall happy with my experience.
Nice views, expensive parfaits.
Huge Hall, great confusion. The room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Average high prices, but central to San Francisco.
This is a large hotel in the Union Square area. The place has a huge lobby, and a bar square in the middle. From the looks of things, the hotel is very popular with tourists, as the lobby was always packed with them. There is a very nice conveniemce market to one side of the lobby. The rooms are very comfortable and we'll appointed. I had a room in tower which faced the street; it was somewhat noisy. However, I've stayed in tower as well, and tower is quiet. Overall, very nice hotel.
Great professionalism, kindness and attention to the customer. The rooms are very clean and spacious.
Clean hotel, and wonderful accommodations. The top floor (#46) in Tower 1 has a nice bar and lounge available from 4:30 PM until midnight with a fair drink selection. The breakfast restaurant (Poached), although expensive, offers a wide selection of ethnic breakfast foods, ranging from American, European, and Asian. Also, the front lobby is massive, and offers wide seating accommodations. There is also a luggage check. All in all, it is a fantastic hotel.
It's just not the quality as other Hilton hotels. I was disappointed in our stay. Things about our room and the hotel seemed outdated. Be prepared for several things about San Francisco. The homeless urinate outside of every hotel and store front. I even watched as one rolled out his needles and shot up on the sidewalk just outside the hotel. I never saw more than three cops in the city, and there was trash everywhere. I was disappointed on so many levels about our trip. Thank goodness I took the time to visit wine country and Muir woods. Those are a must see.
The Hotel has a very good location and a lot of services.
Very nice place and especially the cityscape to do at the 46th magnificent floors.
Close to all the shops of Union Square. Very good breakfast, full buffet.
The guys who are working on luggage are not welling to help. Homeless are everywhere around the hotel and you I feel non comfortable in that location. Parking is very expensive. You are not gonna get the service that you expect meeting their high rates.
Our first trip to San Francisco. We were here with the company that we promote and were part of a large group. I called about a week before we arrived and told them it was our anniversary when we were there, and I was assured they would take care of us. When we arrived, we had an excellent room with a 180 degree view of downtown, and later came back to our room to find fresh fruit and chocolate covered strawberries. The staff has been superior throughout the duration of our stay, the hotel is very clean and modern, and is central to a lot of downtown attractions. Definitely a great place to stay!
Great location. Nice corner room. Nice hotel. Expensive parking! $55/night.
Very nice, very clean, located in close proximity to Union square, Chinatown and local transit (i. E. The bart). Uber rides usually run between 7-10 (cheaper for uberpool). Parking does run $55/day and is only valet.
Very good hotel, the Wi-Fi is a considerable costly.
I've stayed here a few times and enjoy the sweeping views of the city from higher floor rooms and friendly front desk staff. A good location to shopping on Market Street and companies in FiDi. The room was well sized with a large bathroom (with bathtub). The hotel itself is a but dated but the bed is comfortable and the rooms are clean.
Check in was seamless for a busy weekend. They were able to accommodate our request for a king bed however, we called the day prior to check in and they asked us to call again the day of arrival, I also emailed them, called day of arrival and they approved the king bed, then while checking in they told us we were in a double bedded room. The front desk agent was able to change it quickly. Other than that it was a seamless stay. Check out was easy. Location was great.
Accommodations were what we expected. Quiet rooms. Comfortable bed. Unfortunately the AC in the room could not keep up or get the room below 72F. Conveniently located hotel bar and coffee shop. Prices for sodas at the lobby store however were highway robbery ($4 for 12oz). Great location. Lots of restaurants walking distance.
Arrived for a weekend stay. Location is great and good for walking around for shopping, eating, and drinking. Friendly staff. There is a cafe in the lobby but lines were very long and overall expensive. Bed was comfy, but sheets were a little starchy. Water pressure in shower was good and water got very hot. If you happen to watch TV, I will say that the cable was very slow and sometimes unresponsive.
I've stayed here twice now for an annual conference and the time and amenities are very nice. The bed are comfortable and the shower and bath are roomy. I like being both blinds and blackout blinds in the room. I can close the normal blinds to let light in without anyone seeing me then easily close the blackout blinds at night to sleep. The TV has an available HDMI port so I can easily connect my laptop or tablet for work in the bigger screen, movies, or even playing a game on TV while playing in bed. This time my room even had a mini refrigerator so I could keep some drinks cold. I miss the Starbucks that is no longer in the lobby. I have tried the replacement restaurant but really didn't care for it. It's very expensive and the food wasn't very good. I tried pepperoni Flatbread pizza and when I got it up to my room it totally had the texture of being microwaved. The Flatbread was rubbery. I highly recommend eating out at one of the numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Other than that issue and the highly flaky Wireless Internet (all Hiltons have issues when you pay for Internet then turn off your machine and then it back on) I highly recommend the Hilton union Square. It's a beautiful hotel and I have always received excellent service from staff as a Hilton honors member.
No real restaurant, staff is rude, slow and unhelpful. Tried to up sell me to a room with a view for an extra 70/night. Bell staff tried to force me to give up my bag. Handed me a card on the side to use their car service. Noisy room. Pool closed. Just don't stay here. If Conrad Hilton was still alive he would be embarrassed to have his name on this place.
Great hotel, nice and helpful staff. Breakfast for every taste and color, cool views of the city.
Well-kept city center hotel… I've stayed here a couple of times when attending conferences. The hotel itself is well appointed and comfortable, as well as exceedingly well located. Union Square is only a couple of blocks away, and if you're feeling energetic you can basically walk the entire city from here. Rooms are exceedingly comfortable, as I would expect from a Hilton. During my stays the Wi-Fi has been on the slow side, but since I attend tech-conferences, and the hotel is usually packed with fellow techies while I'm there, that is perhaps to be expected. Pro-Tip: If you're staying here, pay a little extra and stay on one of the higher floors. The views from your room will be outstanding.
I have been coming to this Hilton since the 1980s. I have had a gap of a few years and was looking forward to another visit. Unfortunately, all I can say is that like much of San Francisco it has aged rather poorly. This starts at the doors. Gone is any pretense of gilding, which has worn away, and they obviously no longer even attempt to clean them. The lobby, which used to be relatively quiet, if not that comfortable and inviting is now a noisy mess with a bar dumped right in front of the checkin desk. Checkin was never particularly fast, but HHonors helped. No longer, the queue may be smaller, but with so few people working checkin takes just much too long. The impression is now … dingy. Get placed in tower 3 (where they put most people) and you probably have an exceedingly long trek from the elevator to your room, along poorly lit corridors. Some rooms have been renovated. There are still far too few electrical outlets for today's traveller. Lighting is poor. The renovated bathrooms look nice, but at the expense of functionality. For example, the hand basin is now an elongated trough which just doesn't work for most purposes for which you might want a handbasin. The shower has the control on the opposite side from the shower head, which means that it takes quite a long time for any change to make it to the shower head, so you invariably over compensate, either scalding or freezing yourself cyclicly before you find a comfortable temperature.
Went to SF for holiday and stayed two nights at there. Very nice location, just 5 minutes walk to Union Square and the Powell metro station. Room was large, staffs were friendly, and price was fair; nothing to complain about. If there is a downside I would say the view of the lower floor room, ask for a higher floor if you can.
Huge rooms and efficient service. 15th floor was very quiet. Nice pickup area for uber outside. No minibar though.
This place is pretty cool. I stayed here for a conference. Check in was fast and they had my room ready at 1:00PM, which was convenient. I don't ever expect it when I show up early — I'll usually just go grab lunch — but it's great when it's ready! My room was perfect. Clean, modern, TV, and TONS OF OUTLETS (this is key, these days) … I don't think I paid more for a pool-view room, but the sliding glass door opened most of the width of the room, making a really cool indoor/outdoor space with the chair next to the slider. It was perfect weather for this when I was there — 60-65F. Even a little rain didn't ruin it. Super relaxing for hanging out and reading on my downtime. The conference and hotel accommodations were great. They had a good amount of space and I liked that they had a couple of places to pick up snacks in the hotel itself. Even better — I was able to order with Postmates to pick up better food — we're in SF, no reason to eat the garbage at the conference! It's in a pretty good area — not too far from Mission district ($15-20 cab fare), where we spent most of our bar/dinner time. You can even walk to the Embaradero if you feel inclined. Fisherman's Wharf and stuff is totally attainable, too. There were bums all about, like any big city… so, you know, be safe as usual.
The aisles are too narrow and a little confusing plan. The food a little galling. However, very good customer service.
Chic hotel! View from the upper ètada at Sunrise is breathtaking!
Parking is ridiculously expensive which may be the norm in San francisco and the parking is cofusing. Get the ticket, check in the front and get a parking slip. Then what? Use the slip when you are leaving? The rooms are clean and look to be recently remodeled. The hotel is pretty clean and nice.
I like this hotel very quiet clean. Everything was close. Shoppings close. Only before check in ask abt fees cause they dont tell just they charge.
If you aren't going to rent a car but want to explore San Francisco by foot then the location of this Hilton is spot on. Located near Union Square, you'll be right next to a lively atmosphere and within walking distance to all the main sights. The actual hotel feels more geared up for business events but still offers a good experience for those who are simply on holiday. Be sure to check out the bar on the top floor, the views are incredible, especially of a night!
I had a lot to do, but does not include breakfast. But everything else was very good! If reccomendo this hotel very much. Re good! The room is perfect and the bed is very eaten. There is a gym and the staff is very good and you are concerned.
A nice hotel, with the avenue Market near where you get the trams and buses. Near there are two areas to avoid a Tender Loin and Civic Center.
Put 4, for a weak Wi-Fi. Free you can say does not work at all, the fee is too expensive.
Standard room cosy. Clean. Lived at 31 floor, furniture. Without a trace of active use.
Breakfasts tasty and abundant. A buffet breakfast with a good choice. Restaurant located at the 46 floor and has panoramic Windows. San Francisco at Sunrise-very beautiful. So don't be lazy to get up early.
Wonderful and beautiful hotel.
Exceptional hotel with spacious rooms and very good service. Them views from the breakfast room excellent. Service business center with print free. Recommended if the pocket allows.
Good hotel, nothing particularly special, although it is part of the note chain.
Spectacular view from the top floor, where you have an overview of the whole city of San Francisco. Good coffee at the Illy bar on the ground floor.
A minus point is the location of the hotel in the neighborhoods of San Francisco.
Wi-Fi at a charge and with speed is not the required amount.
I honestly expected more. The room was pošarpannaâ furniture, pool was not working and the Internet is not very good quality. But Glynn, daily quality housekeeping staff fillers on the floors, etc.
Nice hotel in the heart of the city near Union Square. The location of the 46 floor at dawn heavily impressed. There are always lots of visitors. It is recommended to visit.
Good hotel, inside looks chic. You can climb the 45-th floor and see all the beauty of San Francisco.
Overpriced, but if you are staying anywhere in San Francisco, that's pretty much par for the course. Comfy beds, very large room, but it was not updated like other rooms were and also not a good view. Valet parking was great, but the $50+ per day it costs to park — not so much. Again, you're going to have to pay this much to park anywhere in the city, so I can't really fault this hotel too much for that. Overall, pretty standard for a very large hotel in a high-priced city.
Beautiful hotel, nice beds, great bar and restaurant. Starbucks in the lobby! Wish the room had a mini fridge.
I thought the room was nice and had no issues with any staff members. However, check in was taking around 30 minutes. The problem is the poor location with alot of homeless around that means you need to be careful at. Night. If travelling again I would look more towards Fisherman's Wharf.
Staff was nice at check in, lobby was nice and never seemed to sleep. Our room was mediocre at best appearing old with a few pieces of newer furniture. Steps outside immersed you in the poverty of San Francisco which is had to avoid pretty much every where. I would likely prefer to stay at the Hampton Inn as the cost did not seem worth it.
It is a good hotel but I think that within my experience, we might suggest that you can put internet access in the rooms in any way more affordable. Also in our accommodations were not ready the rooms. Within chains of hotels that I have visited Hilton have breakfast covered, which neither had. If I would have to go for some business, this hotel would not be my best choice. After this everything else well.
We pull our car up to the front. There was a few bell hops and assistances out front helping open doors for taxi/uber pick up. No one helped with our door though. In fact, I got out of the car and was very obviously trying to track someone down to assist us in finding the Hilton garage or valet. I even caught the eye of an assistant a few times and tried to wave him down, but he never came over to assist us. I went to their desk out front, but still no one came to help me. We were meanwhile blocked in by a limo who decided to park in the street, which seemed pretty dangerous for us. I finally waved someone down after about 10min of waiting (which if you have seen the busy streets out front and the fact that we were probably not suppose to be stopped out front @ the pickup/drop off, is a long time). Then I found out I was lied to about the price. I asked them if there was any additional fees upon arrival (so that I can budget our expenses for the trip) and the guy on the phone who booked us said no. Showed up, and paid $236 for one night plus $53 for parking (which we already knew we were going to pay) and then at the check in desk we have to add a surprise fee of $50. We asked the lady if we spoke to the manager, if that would even help at all since I was lied to after asking the hilton booking operator about three times to confirm no extra fees; she responded no. So, we were stuck paying.
Horrible experience during check in. I booked and prepaid via priceline. They gave me such a hard time to check me in telling me if I did it directly with them it wouldn't be such a hassle! As if they are doing it on purpose. What kind of customer service is that. My question is if they don't like third party booking why do they even advertise with them. Out of 4 days of being here, 2 days the water was cold! Are you kidding me? They charge an arm and a leg not even providing the basics! Very poor service. Don't waste your money and your time with them.
Very good hotel, good price, nice view.
This place is awful. Only nice thing is it proximity to the convention center. They charge extra for everything and the 'free' Wi-Fi in the lobby never works. The staff are too busy and act as though you are bothering them. Certainly not worth the cost.
I really enjoyed the hotel while I was there, but check out was so appalling — the zip out isn't available because the hotel doesn't slip the receipt under your door (the way that every other major hotel chain does). Instead, they would rather have an appallingly long line so it will take you 45 minutes to check out. In addition, I need a copy of my receipt, and have called multiple times for it; despite the fact that I'm calling during business hours, I get the answering machine with a promise to call me back within 3 days (24 business hours). It's too bad that these processes are so horrible because the hotel itself is very nice and in a great location.
I stay in Hilton brand chains the vast majority of the time for HHonors points accumulation. Many of the Hilton Hotels specific brands I have found to be a bit on the snooty side and even sometimes downright rude. As a result I will generally stay at Doubletree or other Hilton brands. For a recent trip to San Francisco we wanted to stay downtown and decided to try out the Hilton Union Square. The thing that stands out the most to me is this is by far the friendliest Hilton specific branded property that I have experienced. Every single person from the registration, to the concierge, to the restaurant staff was extremely friendly. We had a great experience here. The property is very nice and we had a great view from our room. The only downside was that the parking cost is ridiculous at $57/day. I get that is the going rate for downtown SFO, but I was a rather disappointing that we had to pay $171 in parking fees when I was staying at the hotel for free using my HHonors points.
After being at the Midtown Hilton in Manhattan I was a bit disappointed. I had to do the upgrade but the structure is old and it shows. CMQ making the comparison with the structure of New York is too expensive.
This is a game of Russian roulette. I had two separate rooms that had hair on the sheets and sinks. Sheets were ripped and stained. Carpets were stained. One of the rooms was renovated but still beaten up. Staff was very polite and lobby looks nice but I think this place is just dirty and tired. HILTON — help this property out. Get all the rooms on the same level! Have always enjoyed many of your other properties.
Outstanding service when checking in. Stayed at the newly renovated tower 3 and the room was great, beautiful and comfortable. Great location. Will definitely come back.
This Holiday Inn is probably the nicest one I've ever stayed at, and definitely a great value for a hotel room in San Francisco City. I've stayed in numerous CA hotels and usually they are cramped, outdated, noisy, etc. The rooms here are larger than the average for Manhattan I would almost say they're spacious! and the location is right next to Soho and also very convenient to Brooklyn. Both times I stayed there the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. This latest time they put us in a room right in front of the elevators, but I never heard a peep other than normal city stuff. I can't comment on the food or bar as I have never even thought to use them, with all the great options within walking distance. I'm sure I'll be back the next time I'm in town and need a hotel.
Warning! the worst Hilton. I ever stayed. Low class service, dirty and things are broken and no one can fixs them. The employee speak and act, 4 stars but they have zero quality. Very disappointed, we will never stay in this Hilton. I will not recommend this location. All photos deceiving. The management should review this ho el because it does not represent the Hilton.
After reading some less than stellar reviews, I was preparing for the worst. Thankfully, the harshest thing encountered within the hotel was the dated decorations of the suite (which was quite large, clean, and with a lovely view of San Francisco Bay). The staff was always quick to say hello, and the cleaning ladies were quick to replace pillow feathers after we talked to them about allergy concerns. I will echo previous reviewers, and say that the surrounding area (the Tenderloin) is not a nice neighborhood. There are vagrants and questionable characters roaming around, at all hours of the day. The Starbucks within the hotel does charge more than the average chain, and the restaurant there (Urban Tavern) was a nice spot (also reviewed). Many people balk at the thought of paying for in-room Wi-Fi, but that was never an issue for us. Connecting to a free, ATT&T hotspot was possible, even from the 43rd floor.
"Many Bug Bites" and "Incapable Manager and Management" I stayed at this hotel from Nov 8th — 13th for business. When I woke up on the morning of Nov 10th, I noticed a bug bite bigger than the size of a quarter on my tummy. Because I wasn't very aware of bed bug issues and I was very busy during this trip, I didn't pay enough attention to the bites. Then on Nov 11th, I woke up with 6 bug bites (neck, arms, and tummy) ; each is no smaller than the size of a quarter. I was shocked and reported it to the front desk, and he reported it to the manager. I didn't know if the manager was too busy or what, he didn't come out to talk to me; instead he sent the front desk to change my room and to tell me that the would do a formal report with me in the afternoon, send people for inspection and follow up with me later. I was very busy that morning, and didn't have time to insist seeing the manager. The front desk gave me the keys to the new room and didn't offer any help moving my stuff. I moved my stuff, but I felt like this was not the right way to deal with the issue 'cause it might spread the bugs to the new room through my luggage; but apparently, they didn't care as much as I do. Later that afternoon, I called the manager about the security report. However, he seemed to be too busy to remember/care, as when I mentioned this issue, his first response was like what bug bite, which made me feel very disappointed, as I feel like I was being ignored.
It is a good hotel. A little old but good. Missing free Wi-Fi in the rooms.
Great hotel in San Fran, Nice staff (reception).
Very good hotel, stately, with a grand lobby and very nice views of San Francisco. They didn't have the room ready upon arrival and gave me a mini suite. Excellent experience in downtown San Francisco.
Nice lobby but rooms are not as on the website. The bathrooms have doors that do not close completely and have considerable areas that allow you to see from one side to the other. If there are more people in the room is like sharing any private moment with them. And we were with 2 bedrooms, it was not bad luck of one. It would not only for this reason. Bathing, changing or what is done, plugging the spaces with towels I think horror.

It’s sad that during this pandemic and homeless problem, that THIS hotel has boarded up while it now has new homeless people literally on the sidewalks. I’m so grateful to see such a large company working with the City and County of SF to set an example of humanity and over coming our national division.
