The rooms are very nice and clean. Much nicer than we expected. There’s lots of room (in the rooms) and parking is included which is a huge plus if you’re driving into the city. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying here again.

Very clean place! Great service! Desk staff was very welcoming and provided me additional information how to get around and where to go. I recommend this place to friends and family. I stayed for three days and my room was kept clean by staff everyday.

Scam artist do not stay here. My boyfriend recently stayed here for his bachelor party. They charged him $250 for smoking in his room. HE DOES NOT SMOKE! They said a cleaning lady "smelled smoke" as there proof when he asked. The managers /owners said take it up with our financial institution. Are you serious?! Better business bureau here we come. You guys are scam artist. Funny how I found another review stating the exact same thing. Do not stay here.

Stayed here for a show at the Great American Music Hall. It was perfect, 300 feet away. Had its own parking spots which was convenient. The showers are amazing!

I had a nice stay here, very nice customer service and super friendly. For the area it's in it's a nice place to stay. Newly remodeled rooms. The bed was new and very comfortable with nice fresh sheets. I would stay here again.

Great hotel Clerk was very nice and gave us ideas to do around the city. Rooms were nice Bathroom was large Desk and chair for office work Big TV in room Plenty of on site parking.

The front desk people hang up my call rudely when I called him to ask why I still didn't receive my deposit for three weeks. The transaction history from my bank shows that they didn't receive the deposit clear, however the hotel keep saying they already did. What makes this hotel even more suspect is, I asked my deposit before left the hotel, the same front desk people told me he wouldn't have the access for the deposit info, the people who cleaned my room would report to manager directly. Because of that suspect behavior of the front desk people, it seems like this hotel never wants to return your deposit. I already sent the details about my case to the hotel via email. Without hearing back from them soon I will report this hotel for robbing my money.

Property was imaculant inside and out. We were close to public transportation which we used our three day pass constantly. Owner is very friendly attentive to property and makes you feel at home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be back for another stay.

The Hotel was very comfortable Something old, but clean and careful, has all the comforts that can be asked to rest. He parks easily, and there are surveillance cameras everywhere. In the area there are some people stray and homeless, who sometimes are among the cars, but in general are harmless.

Hello my I have stay at this hotel on V-day with my fiance and had been charged 250$ for cleaning deposit that they said I smoke in the room And I didn't I told them to look on the camera's and video and that I went outside and they say that its there proof not mine as I told them it will be the courts proof. And have been arguing this charge this faurd and they are laundering good people depoists and pocketing the money this is wrong and if anyone that this as happen to please contact me 20modesto9@gmail. Com I am going to be going threw a smalls claims court so if you would like help me STOP this fraud of a hotel please contact me. Nice. I thought so at least. But my husband thought it was awful. But he’s a jerk so who’s cares what he thinks.

Besides being in the middle of the too the rooms are decent though there's a big price difference between ones with a hot tub and ones without.

Excellent and very clean. Staff treats you with respect and makes sure you are comfortable. I felt like it was home. Thank you.

The place is very well located however the staff that caters to the hotel is lousy charge for storing luggage and asking Commission for tours or taxis ordered in the hotel.

Called and knocked on the door around 10 even tho I had a do not disturb sign on the door. The coffee machine was also broken.

The front desk staff accommodate me the safe room near the front desk. I travel alone at evening check in after working in SNF area. I have to get there before 5:30 pm daily to park the minivan due to limited parking.

Room 201 had bedbugs. Update: I have received both a full refund and a number of apologetic emails which have assured me that this problem has been dealt with. I should also point out that the gentleman at reception was very good on the morning when I let him know about the issue. From their responses, I would suspect that this really has been dealt with.

Stay there 6 nights with my girlfriend. Rooms are clean and comfy bed. The area is not good, drug addicts doing heroin in the streets when you walk outside. Started in room 101, where the internet was super, but because of a double door to the room next door, which made it pretty noisy and we could hear clearly what was going on in the other room, the management changed room quickly, and even carried our bags there while we were in the city. Unfortunately the internet at the new room was almost non existent.

I chose this place due to its convenience, cheap rates, and nice looking rooms. I thought I would save a little $$$ by booking an inn instead of a hotel. Unfortunately, I ended up shelling out a bunch of money for dermatology bills due to a case of bed bugs. I have never had this happen before and it's pretty awful. My friend and I were eaten up. I know it happens in high traffic areas and even in the nicest hotels, but there are easy ways to keep up with maintenance for this. I travel a lot on business. I have stayed at many hotels, inns, and motels and this has never happened to me. I can't give a good rating for this place, no one should have to deal with this.

Nice Hotel, Porter 24 h is available and controls the passage being in a bad area (in some adjacent street there are tent of homeless)

Don't park here. I stayed here one night and my car got broken into. I stayed here for the free parking but it ended up costing more than I saved! The hotel itself is fine, but it's in a very obviously unsafe part of town. It's probably fine to stay here but park your car in a locked garage.

More like a motel than a hotel. Pricing is reasonable considering it is in San Francisco. Location is less than ideal because it's close to where a lot of homeless gather. It's not recommended to walk outside alone at night. Parking is free but very limited. Spots are tight, but will fit most cars. Rooms were clean, daily housekeeping. Yet some how they missed refilling our body wash soaps for 2 days in a row! Looks like it's a family-owned business. The staffs were nice and responsive to concerns. The premise is smoke free. Cost of an extra person in a room is $15/day. No fridge, no microwave, the safe is not big enough to store a standard laptop. Also, our safe didn't work. Told management about it but they didn't do anything throughout my stay. They advertised Jacuzzi but that's only available in 5 rooms out of the entire complex. Good for a 1-2 nights stay, but if you have a longer trip, you can get a similarly good deal and more comfort at the holidays inn.

I'd say this is more of a motel, than a hotel. The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms included an iron and a blow dryer… and complimentary coffee, shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The room cleaning service ended early… so if you weren't out of your room by noon it wouldn't be cleaned or picked up. It is on a corner of a very busy downtown street, so the traffic noise could be heard through the thin walls at all hours of the day/night so if you're a light sleeper you may want to check somewhere else. The area throughout the day is decent compared to at night. I'd highly suggest staying in the hotel room after sun down, there's lots of homeless and drug addicts that run/dictate the surrounding area. The motel offered first come first serve parking that was very compact, but free. They say they offer a jacuzzi, but I never seen one. If you're ever attending the bill graham civic auditorium I recommend staying here because it's great walking distance! Just no fridge or microwave.

Awesome Hotel. I rate it the best in Civic Center area. Early check in and neat, clean room. Bathrooms are extra extra shiny and clean. The doors are completely sound proof. Air Conditioners are working. The staff are very respectful to customers. I enjoyed my stay last night and will prefer to stay here every time I need it.

Amazing to find this type of building right in the center of San Francisco. Clean but average neighborhood.

BAD part of town. I got robbed in the first hour we were here. On top of that the staff were extremely rude.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff is warm and friendly and the rooms are beautiful. Valet parking is easy and the valet's themselves are helpful. This is what a Hotel should be.

It's a rough area of town at night. Not very quiet or comfortable but I had no issues. Only was there at night to sleep.

Would not recommend this place to anyone, very unperfessional. No a safe envoriment to be in. No trustworthy people as well. Exspecially for the price that you pay to stay there.

I gave this a 5 to balance out the reviews. This hotel got a lot of bad reviews and I was hesitant to book it. So first thing is get your goal straight. If you're looking for a luxury hotel like Hilton, Hyatt, theyre right, this isnt that. It's in the Tenderloin. However, I just needed a place to stay the night while I attended a 2 day workshop. Booked this on Travelocity, checked in at 9pm. Rang bell, hotel attendant came out and checked me in without a problem. Was not rude or anything. Room was super clean, had all the needed amenities — Keurig, flat screen, bathroom was clean, clean towels, soap, shampoo, etc. I walked around at 10 pm at night looking for an iphone charged. Yes, this is Tenderloin. There were homeless people, etc, but it was bright, people riding bikes, walking home from work — completely safe. Walked around at 6 am also, normal SF hustle and bustle. Low price, youre getting what you pay for.

The stay was great. Everything was in order and clean. Great one or two night stay.

This small hotel in the heart of the Tenderloin district provided a great value close to great entertainment and sights. They have recently remodeled interiors which make up for some of the challenges a budget downtown hotel has. Pros include decent, free Wi-Fi speeds (~3-5mpbs), satellite TV, and a quick bite to eat in the mornings. Cons include the noise (downtown and close to a fire station it would seem) and very limited breakfast selection (but it's included). Parking might be an issue if your group has multiple cars. Overall it was a great choice for our weekend visit!

We stayed at the Alexis Park on NYE. We chose it mostly because is was walking distance to the show we were in town to see. They have parking which is nice. The surrounding area is pretty rough, but we felt safe staying at the hotel. Room was clean with some me blemishes on the wall where is looks like they repaired it. The stay was fine.

Stayed for 3 nights. Have no idea why it has so many negative reviews. Worst thing I could complain about is the ice maker was down. Clean, smelled nice, price was decent, area was not sketchy, staff was nice.

If you want to get double charged and ripped off go ahead and book here. You would think a pre paid reservation would be enough for this place. Noooooo, they need to charge you again. The manager is an assclown and hopefully he loses his business soon. No need for this crack house.

Last week, I’ve been in 4 different US states, in each, I booked all through HotWire (prepay, get a hotel. Risky, I know. ) 3 of the Hotels were actually great (Paramount in NY, Best Western in Cambridge, Peabody Court in Baltimore). However, arriving to San Francisco, I got to experience a “slightly different” scenario. I landed from my long flight from Baltimore to San Francisco at 10:30pm, picked up the car and drove to my hotel. Upon arrival, I walked to a dark external counter (i. E. I’m out in the cold, buzzing a bell, while the “lobby” is shielded with a bullet proof window). A guy came out of the back, as if I had woken him up. I told him I have a reservation and he didn’t really know what I was talking about. He asked me for my last name, and proceeded to check and say: “no”. He told me that “the credit card was declined. We have rooms, but you need to pay cash”. After arguing for a while, I realised that there’s no point, and left to go and sleep at an old friends house which was kind enough to accept me at 00:30 in the night. I only wish I had recorded this insane scenario. As this is definitely a first for me and a first I’ve EVER heard of. Now I'm working on getting a refund from HotWire (as the card was NOT DECLINED). Not a great experience.

STAY VERY FAR AWAY from this place. ok. So we didn't stay here. But we almost did. It's that "Almost" that causes the biggest problems. Who would have thought that the front desk manager could be such a jerk. We booked online through a travel site, and then had to cancel. We did so, and then received (via email only, not on their site) a message that they were still charging me the full price. Even though we cancelled with plenty of notice. Apparently they didn't receive the notification in time. I called the manager and spoke to him. He made me REALLY glad that I wasn't going to be staying there. What a JERK.

Lots of people write bad reviews of this place, but it was not terrible. The rooms were clean and the price was right. The check-in procedure is maybe a little disconcerting (talking through a microphone to someone behind glass) and it's probably what freaks most people out, but the inkeeper seems to live there with kids and while the neighborhood was not the best, there were a few homeless people around. We stayed there as a group and had no problems whatsoever. If you are frightened by cities at night this place might not be for you, but otherwise it is fine.

We booked a room at the Alexis Park for Saturday night, with plans to run the Nike Womens Marathon yesterday. But, checkout is at 11am, and we would not be back. So we asked for late checkout. No. We asked if we could leave our bags at 6am and get them later. No. The only option, according to the manager, was to leave our bags in the lobby (this is the crappy Tenderloin neighborhood) until noon, and if we weren't back by noon he would put them in a room and charge us for another night. We asked for our money back. He said he couldn't as there is a 48-hour cancellation fee. We said we wouldn't leave without our money. Meanwhile, we checked out the room and it reeked of cleaning products and mold. We couldn't even enter it without getting a headache. The cleaning woman said there had been some sort of infestation. We went back to the lobby and insisted that he refund our money. We refused, again, to leave without it. He called the police. The police said we should try to get our money back from Expedia and that we should leave. Then he started streaming obscenities at us. The police asked him to calm down and we went outside. The police officers then came outside and said he was demanding that we remove our car from the lot. But, of course, we still couldn't have our money back. Expedia won't give us a refund unless the hotel approves it. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. So we got screwed. Don't stay here.
