I can’t say enough about the fantastic time I had during my 4 night stay at Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa. My trip began with a wonderful massage at the Spa with Melissa. Many fantastic evenings at the bar and restaurant with the always fun Terrance. All the attentive/entertaining bellmen who shuttled me daily around Lafayette (Will, Erwin and others whose name I did not get). I actually chose to stay an additional night here instead of relocating to San Francisco because the experience is all around great. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

We went for a Sunday lunch, but surprised to find out that on Sunday they only have brunch. It was a beautiful buffet of all you can eat starters (fancy meat and cheese spread, fancy melon spread, tomato soup, chicken Mac and cheese, smoked salmon/ bagel bar, etc. ), Which then moved onto a menu choice. There was traditional breakfast and lunch offerings, with the usual California cuisine flair and local farm freshness you can come to expect from the best restaurants in the Bay Area. We ended up eating souch, that we couldn't take advantage of the dessert buffet, which also seemed to be all you eat, and had some wonderful looking small plate options (cheesecake slices, bread pudding servings, custard cups, etc. ). The whole meal also came with bottomless mimosas and coffee, so from beginning to end we had a wonderful time. It was probably 3x what I would pay for a normal breakfast, but for an intensely special place, it was worth every penny.

Had lunch there. The burger with cheese was great. The fries were tasty. The best part was the beer. They had Pliny the elder on tap. Was incredible! Loved this place!

I always wanted to stay here as a kid growing up in the Bay Area. The rooms were clean and spacious. Room service was quick and the food was good. The pool area was nice. Wife was excited about the squirrels outside our window. Parking was convenient but tight. We did want to buy a corkscrew to take home but the lady at the front desk didn't know how to get one and no manager was on duty. Overall we had a great stay, bucket list checked off for this hotel. I would stay here again.

Nice large upper scale motel. The rooms are pricey, very large and spacious. They are super clean with air conditioning and heat whereas motel patrons can click to desired temperature. It has an in room coffee maker with coffee, sweetener, sugar, and cream. This motel has stairway or elevator for personal use. There are charges for parking your car each night. The service desk has very knowledgeable staff. It has a very nice morning complementary breakfast with lots of things to choose from or you can order room service or order food out and have it brought to your room. Close by is an up scale restaurant that is pricey for a meal. It also specializes in different types of fine wines and mixed drinks. I would give the food a 5*****.

Excellent property with attentive staff. Well maintained and overall very attractive. Easy valet parking but also equally easy free self parking in the underground garage. Restaurant has an excellent all-around menu (expected for a hotel) and dishes are usually (but not always) prepared well. Good meat/steak selection on the menu. Food was good quality. Eclectic bar menu with well-crafted cocktails. Bar is very popular with the local, mature, crowd. Overall it is a high-end yet comfortable hotel property with a decent bar/restaurant.

This was a wonderful hotel with very attentive staff. The standard rooms. Were very spacious, with suites being even larger. I had a great view to a center square area. Lovely.

This place is beautiful. The employees are kind and knowledgeable. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and inviting. It was a great escape from daily life. I got a wonderful spa treatment as well. I recommend this place for sure.

I had a delicious breakfast while waiting for my car to be serviced at a nearby facility. I ordered coffee and had an egg white omelet with my choice of ingredients. Which was served with crispy hash browns and whole wheat toast and included a small muffin with butter. My server, Jolene, was very congenial and prompt with her service. I must include that the coffee served was delicious. I often take guests to the Lafayette Park for breakfast for the nice atmosphere, great service, and good food. It is a very fun and pleasing way to start your day. Try it yourself. Sincerely, Buck J. Cheshire.

Didn’t find this place to be anything extra special for the price you pay. It’s pretty on the outside and unique on the inside but it’s nit like there’s a spectacular view or anything. The front desk lady was rude to me, but I’ll give credit that the room was clean. Parking was same price (20.00) in the garage as it was valet so that didn’t make sense to me. The bar is great if you’re a middle aged businessman. Also they are doing renovation but the room rates are the same? It was a bit overrated to me.

Very nice hotel, cozy atmosphere and centrally located. The town of Lafayette is really worth seeing.

Visited The Bistro for a bridal shower. Excellent service and food. Luxurious atmosphere made it the perfect spot for my best friend's special day. Plenty of parking underneath the hotel itself as well as valet. After lunch we were able to walk do nail salon and get pedicures and manicures it was a great day.

Great location, beautiful boutique hotel, lovely service and delicious food. The Spa is amazing too-I was served lunch by the pool in between my facial and massage. Love treating my out-of-town guests here!

Beautiful and delicious California cuisine, however it was a little pricey. A wonderful mix of craft coctauls at the bar, and an extensive wine list with glasses from $11 to $30 and bottles from $40 to $300. This would be a lovely place to bring a date you wanted to impress for a special occasion. Located right off the freeway, but with not much parking other than valet. Definitely a posh spot.

Beautiful location and venue for the wedding reception. Everything was great except the fact that they don't serve drinks during the dinner. The bar closed and the wait staff claimed they didn't have access to any drinks until after the dinner was over. I felt like it was a pretty reasonable request while eating dinner and the staff was just unwilling to accommodate. I understand alcohol can only be served by someone old enough, but they wouldn't bring anything except water. Almost $300 for a room and they refused to bring my kid some juice.

We had a pretty bad server and food on Sunday. First thing she says is: it’s a few more minutes until lunch time. But I can still take your order. We order soup and sandwiches. She tells us the wrong soup of the day. She brings one soup to the table and no other food. When we ask she says: we’ll generally we bring the soup first and the sandwich second. If you wanted it together you should have told me. Um excuse me, she also could have asked us! The Reuben was soggy and served with burnt chips. We asked her if we could have fries instead and again she says: you could have asked me for the substitution. Again, she could easily have asked us and up sold. She removed my husbands juice glass and did not ask if he wanted another drink. The tomato soup tasted like it was from a can. The only good thing about the entire meal was the onion soup. The waitress was Kimberly. She really needs to think ahead of her customers needs.

Our favorite getaway. 5 star elegance and wonderful amenities. We make it an annual trek — we really enjoy the spa — and love Room Service Breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The Front Desk Staff (es. Tall, dark handsome friendly man) are cordial, kind and professional.

Ate there for a Christmas time dinner with my family and had a great meal. Service can be a little slow at times but they're over the top friendly. Pork Chop was phenomenal and the crab cakes are loaded with crab meat instead of filler. Ambience is nice, drinks are strong. No complaints.

The service here was great, very friendly and attentive but not too much so. The housekeeping did leave something to be desired. My mother's room had an already filled out breakfast card in it and our room had the invoice from the previous guest on the floor. These are completely minor things but in a place that bills itself as a boutique luxury hotel (with a price point to match), little things like that tend to stand out. We dined at the restaurant for lunch and dinner and both times, the service was impeccable and the food quite good.

The weekend breakfast here… to die for! Valet, beautiful hotel, great restaurant AND a spa? What else do you need? Kim in the restaurant is the best!

My family and I had brunch at their Park Bistro yesterday and the experience was fabulous! From our wait staff Jason who was so attentive and gracious He remained calm under pressure (he was the only wait staff) serving so many tables until someone helped him around 1pm. And he did not even hesitate when we asked him to take our photo Bravo Jason, you need a raise The food was excellent from the buffet table to my Skuna Salmon entree I would definitely go back here.

Their spa technicians are truly experts. A small but relaxing spa. Enjoy! I had the blossom exfoliation and a facial… sighhhhh.

This is 10 star property. From dropping your car with the valet — to check-in to maid service — so impressive. The rooms are exquisite — the linens and decor, amenities are top drawer. The Spa has some of the best masseuses — ever. It is a very favoure special occasion location.

The happy hour menu is amazing! Great food and drink and very reasonable prices. Classy little spot for some drinks and apps.

Exalent hotel. Large rooms. Good price. Friendly staff. Eropien feel. Pool and hot tub are nice clean and intimate. Showers are a bit problematic — no pressure. Would have been better if some kind of breakfast was included.

Not a diverse place at all but the food and drinks are good if you don't mind other guests staring at you.

Service was great. The rooms are cleaned very thoroughly. They even have someone knocking at your door giving you coffee in the morning. Really great complimentary experience.

We had cocktails and dinner here for the first time the other night and was pleasantly surprised by the dining experience here. Service was great, dinner was delicious. I had a bouillabaise that I thoroughly enjoyed (fish was fresh, the dish was not overly dressed or unnecessarily rich). We'll be back.

Went for a massage and facial. I loved the signature massage which was for 50 min massage. It was very relaxing. But I am not very satisfied with their signature facial (50min) that I took.

Tried their Bistro/Bar. Food was above average. Martini and Wedge said with crab was delicious. Will go back again soon. Some outdoor seating with firepits.

Spacious room. Very quiet. I was worried when I saw how close to the freeway the hotel is, but it was never a problem. Extremely quiet. All the amenities of a nice hotel. Close to a BART station. Great courtyard in the center of the property. Friendly staff. I will be looking to stay there again when we are in the area.

We loved this place! The front desk was wonderful. Nicole was not only professional, but friendly and very accommodating. We were going to take a shuttle to the BART station to do to a baseball game in Oakland, but a wedding party prevented us being able to take it. The front office manager was kind enough to pay our cab ride to and from the BART station. The rooms are very large and very clean. Ours looked out into the beautiful courtyard. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back to stay. Having the wonderful restaurant next door was perfect. The restaurant was great. The grilled shrimp salad was unique but very good. The crab cakes were the best I have ever had. They were full of flaky crab. The fish and chips were pretty good. We also had brunch, which was not only delicious, but a good deal with bottomless mimosas or champagne. You get a buffet of wonderful choices of appetizers and dessert and then you order an entree off the brunch menu. I had the California eggs benedict and husband had the traditional benedict. It was a wonderful experience. We also had two great servers, I wish I could remember both of their names. Or first server Joleen was great and answered many of our questions about the area. She even came to our table the second day when she wasn't waiting on us and asked how our excursion went. Our second waitress was equally fantastic. I wish I could remember her name.

Deceptively large, very nice hotel, well decorated. Nice area. Good combo of inside/outside areas for relaxing/hanging out.

The Petite Suite was the perfect end to a perfect day. Nice and spacious we thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast served in the room to close out our romantic get away.

We had a lovely dinner. Initially they were going to seat the two of us at a large table in the front walkway, we requested a smaller out of the main walkway location. They sat us in a private booth which was very nice. It was a wonderful evening with delicious food and impeccable service.

Location even though it is located next to a Highway it is very quiet. The interior of the building is very elegant. The courtyards are spacious and beautiful.

A nice, French themed hotel with a spa and courtyard. Excellent staff and service. Just remember that overnight parking is 20 dollars self or valet.

Dinner at The Park was great. Service was great, loved our entrees (Filet Mignon) and the desserts were to die for (butterscotch pot de creme and vanilla creme brulee). Good drinks too. Only thing that wasn't great was our ahi poke appetizer… Too many pickled onions and didn't like the taro chips served with it.

The grounds are beautiful and the service was excellent. The restaurant at the hotel wasn't too noisy and we really enjoyed our dinner. It was my sister's birthday and they made us feel very special while we were celebrating.

Went there for Sunday brunch. Food was decent, but way overpriced. Service was terrible. Monica was not attentive or available. The restaurant was not even crowded. Doubt I'll be back for Sunday brunch.

I went to the spa for the girlfriends get away package. Booking was easy. The spa is located at the back of the hotel. The locker room was small, but nice. The esthetician did an adequate facial, but I would have liked more of a narration of the treatments she was giving me. She did answer any questions I asked. The ambiance was pleasant and relaxing. However the staff didn't guide us through our visit. No one took our lunch order before our treatment. We had to ask for the complimentary happy hour champagne. And the components of the package was not clearly explained at booking or when we arrived. Over all the service was alright, but things could have been smoother. I think the value for the package was good. However service was merely adequate. I didn't feel like it was quite the luxurious self indulgent day of pampering I was looking for.

Seemed like a top notch space to hold a professional event. Something about it seems… European.

I love staying at this charming hotel when I'm in town. It's the perfect place to be halfway between Napa and San Francisco. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and a courtyard view (if you're lucky). The Bistro is a lovely place to have lunch on the patio. They also make some killer cocktails. The Papa Taught Me, which is their twist on a Lemon Drop martini, was fantastic!

The perfect hotel for an in town escape with the girls!. My god-daughter and I spent three nights here and enjoyed the exceptionally quiet, comfortable, well-decorated room, and luxurious beds. We shopped in nearby Walnut Creek, which has grown from a dusty Bay Area superb into a shopping and dining mecca. The variety of stores rivals anything else in the Bay! The hotel has a shuttle which we didn't need and the valet service for our car was friendly and efficient. The staff we encountered throughout our stay were helpful and took extra effort to make us quite content. The spa, while small, is staffed by highly skilled professionals and I recommend a treatment or two to any travelers staying here. I will definitely return when I visit the Bay Area next. Don't be dissuaded by the location — it's an easy drive or BART ride into the city centers and it is, by far, the most comfortable hotel if you are visiting the Oakland or Berkeley area.

I have driven by this place time after time and finally was able to stay here. I was speechless! I will be going back, even if its for a night:).

We celebrated my wife's birthday with a brunch at the Bistro, the food was good and the service was very good. Highly recommend it for any event, we were never pushed out or rushed even staying longer than expected.

Amazing service and atmosphere! Enjoyed the Spa and the food at the Duck Club. Employees were very helpful and friendly. What a surprise, as I grew up close to the area but had never walked in the doors until recently. A great little stay-cation for sanity and serenity.

Its a great place, always having events, always clean, the staff is friendly, a great place to get away to even if your a local. You have to go at least once, I had such a great time.

The only place to stay in lafayette that's civilized.
