Very good service, especially for the price. The Indian guy that works nights is really great and most of the staff that I met were all very helpful and accommodating. I know there were issues with air conditioning and supplies with a few rooms who were upset. But all was well with my room for the duration of my stay. Would go again.

Just a very disappointing place dirty smelly very low standard.

Terrible terrible. Not a hotel but. Hostel. Rooms were disgusting. Pictures were very misleading. The elevators smell as if someone deficated in them. Bathroom was disgusting. Shower was full of hard water and mold. Dinghy carpet. Trash in our room when checked in. Just a gross terrible stay we only stayed one night before finding somewhere else to stay. Not worth the price wouldnt stay here for free.

The place is disgusting and dirty. The staff was super rude. This is the worst hotel stay I have ever had. If you don’t mind dirty, dinghy, and rude… you might enjoy it.

Is actually a Hostel that also has private rooms for rent. The AC was worthless and only one window would open. So with out a fan pulling the air in there is no cooling breeze. I think the hotel would do better if they had some fans available to pull in the cooler air. On my visit the outside temp was about mid 70s and the internal was mid 80s with the AC on full blast. I think a fan pulling outside air would have been more helpful.

No stars should be given… Trashy hotel, roaches in the room and the floor smelled like "skunk". Extremely disappointed, not worth your savings. Absolutely never, ever, ever again! The pictures are not what you see, the carpets have never been cleaned, the rooms are so outdated and dirty. Had no choice but to stay because it was so last minute… Again, don't waste your time or money!

Very friendly front desk staff made me feel welcome. Always said good morning when I walked in followed by smiles. Rooms were clean and the hot tub felt amazing after a long day of sight seeing. Definitely will be coming back when I visit San diego again.

This hotel is mixed with good and bad. So the bad would be the sum of the rooms have roaches not exactly up to code where the elevator permit expired seems like there's a lot of bad reviews online. Personally I thought my room was nice it was a decently clean the price was right I'm not sure if I would stay here again though.

Room was dirty, telephone didn't work despite asking front desk to fix it. Room smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The beds were uncomfortable too, you can feel the springs on them.

Had a great time here at the consulate. An experience like I have never had anywhere else n my life. The connection that I made here at the consulate I will remember for a lifetime was like no other. Even if it fades, we will both have the memory.

My girlfriend and I walked in and the place looked way stranger than it did in the pics online. Checked in to room 507 at about 8 at night. The hallway to the elevator had exposed wires in the ceiling. The elevators chugged unstably up to our room. When we entered our room, it had cigarette burns on the carpet, a strong odor of cigarettes and burns on the walls of the bathroom… So we went back down and outside to get some fresh air and talk about what to do. We took a short drive and came back to the parking under the hotel, which was full of carpet rolls, old microwaves and other junk. Less than an hour after we checked in, I talked with the receptionist, letting her know that the hotel wasn't for us. She said sorry, after 15 minutes we had to pay in full — $135 for one night. The thing is, this is advertised as a hotel but it's not; it's a hostel. I offered to pay half the bill, but the receptionist said it couldn't be done. She said she'd leave the manager a note on Monday concerning my situation (this happened tonight, which is a Saturday). I'm doubtful we will receive any kind of refund, but if we do, I'll post about it here. I'm not sure what the deal is with this place, but it seems legitimately shady.

I was there for three nights and all I can say that I will never be there again. My room was dirty broken lights.

The hotel was so-so. I thought it was over priced for what it was. Front desk staff was not overly friendly, but also not rude. They made several mistakes with my room request, but were quick to fix it. The room was clean but noisy. We were on the 6th floor (top) and could hear every car outside, but it didn't bother me much. I didn't have breakfast there, so I can't comment on that.

Worst hotel ever! Homeless people just chillin outside, STINKS, the doors are cracks and chipped paint! They should have this place worn down or have it a home for low income!

Love the place. Clean, best price in San Diego. Staff is great and easy to communicate with. I always enjoy my trips when I come to San Diego. If I could just wrap this hotel up and put in my back pocket and take you with me everywhere I travel I think I would. O Yeah.

We had a reservation for a room with an ocean view and they gave us another. The installations are terrible and the parking lot is too low for a big car. Also, the reception has a very bad smell. I would never go back!

I was barely acknowledged on arrival, the young receptionist continued with her personal phone call the whole time. There was a strong smell of various "smoking " substances throughout this tired hotel. The room was clean, but I was kept awake by rattling windows and lots of noise in the corridor.

Terrible and expensive. The carpet was dirty and ripped. No batteries in the TV remote, lots of shady people hanging out in the lobby.

This well but because they pay the aqua.

Attendant gave us an occupied room initially. One elevator is super slow, the other is immensely fast. Rooms were livable but there was a bit of a funk in the hallway (before the weed smell started). Consulate Hotel also has a hostel on premises, so just be mindful of the tenancy.

Lovely place! Great location. Nice people. The pool is awesome and it's sunny almost all year around! Close to grocery stores and other places to pick up a bite to eat on vacation or staycation.

I couldn’t wait to write my review for this hotel! I booked a room here for four days for two reasons only, I was getting my house painted and needed a place to sleep during the day since I work at night. Secondly, the hotel was close to my job. The only reason this hotel/motel is receiving a star is because I didn’t get mugged while I was there. Housekeeping never came by to my room even though I put the “maid service” sign on my door. I had to go to the lobby to get toilet paper and trash bags. Thank goodness it was only me staying there, so I had enough towels. The hallway smelled like urine. There was blood on the comforter and the tub looked halfway cleaned. I always bring my own cleaning products and linen just because, but wow. Let’s just say for $49 a night, I got what I paid for.

Absolute worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed at and not the cheapest, might I add. Service is non-existent, rooms are never tidied and they never supply clean towels or new toilet paper. The upkeep and cleanliness levels of the entire hotel are terrible. The coffee machine in our room was broken and when we told reception, they simply shrugged it off. The worst part of the experience though was the rude staff. They were unwilling to help and belittled customers. Rather stay at a cheaper motel where you are more likely to encounter a neat room and staff that will treat you like a human being. I have seen some of the photos and they are deceptive. The place is dingy, dark and dirty. The only nice-looking part is the bar.

I don't have any real complaints. There was no switch for the venting in the bathroom, which, lead to excess stream from showers and smells from basic bathroom usage. Otherwise, it was fine. I was not there for much else other than sleep. Pretty good needs. Idk if they had complementary breakfast, but I expect not.

Extremely overpriced for such a dilapidated Hotel. From your window you can see a Holiday Inn, which is immaculate in comparison and only about $20 more a night. Almost every single person working at the Consulate Hotel was rude, to the point of yelling at other guests (However, the cleaning personnel were very nice). The dual queen suite on the top floor does not contain a refrigerator, or a microwave and the TV is a 20-inch old school CRT TV. Majority of the amenities that did come with the room, the lamp, the television remote, telephone, the coffee maker the blow-dryer were all broken as were the towel racks, the closet door, and mirror. My consulate Hotel experience was not an isolated incident, numerous other guests complained about very similar things while staying there (one couple moved their room 3 separate time all having similar conditions). The picture I've attached is of our room's lamp.

Good price, for a reason. My girlfriend and I checked in and were given a room key to a room that someone was already staying in… because we opened the door and saw people's stuff all over the room, and quickly closed the door. There were some ants in our (second) room. The view was decent and the furniture was as expected due to the price. The parking structure underground seemed a little sketchy.

I was surprised. Very affordable, had the suite which is bigger than some 1 bedroom apts. Older tv, the top floor had yet to be updated. Nice pool and hot tub. $10 to park in the lot/garage but street spot were always available. They allow dogs which was nice. Easy to get to, the location is good. Downsides are 1 washer and dryer for the entire hotel. They apparently get overbooked so when reserving on their site your room is not guaranteed so had to check out unexpectedly. Overall it's nice and would stay again.

The place actually advertises itself as a hostel. No San Diego residents. You have to show ID stating that you don't live in San Diego County in addition, one must produce proof that they are traveling (plane ticket/bus voucher, perhaps). No visitors after 10pm. This is interesting because my friend who rented the room has lived in San Diego his entire life. I got there about 1am and walked right up without a problem even though it was after 10pm. The night staff even directed me to where the complimentary coffee and tea is located. Clean, cheap ($59 usd) and very friendly. And who says you can't put a metal bowl in the microwave?

The place does not even deserve one star. My son stayed there Labor Day weekend to attend a family wedding. The hotel is filthy. It has the strangest odd smell. His original room was changed as the air conditioning did not work. The hot tub was out of order, the pool lights were not on. He decided to call it a night and go to sleep. The place is worse in the light of day. Paint peeling in the room. There were ants and black mold in the bathroom. He waited until he got home to take a shower. He did state that the housekeeping staff was very nice but hands were tied by management. They should give you a free tetanus shot with each arrival.

If you want a motel room surrounded by homeless camping out on property, rummaging through the motels "secured" dumpster, using the pool as their bath then this is the place for you! Even when management has been notified of such, It's still being Allowed… On a daily basis. No Security or Security guards. So good luck.

It's a 2 star hotel. Mold in the bathrooms, old TVs that barely work. Only a minifridge. NO FREE BREAKFAST, despite where you read it, there is no free breakfast. There's a built in restaurant that serves $8 breakfast burritos. It was decently cheap and a walks distance to the marina and other restaurants. Beds were clean, the rest of the room wasn't. Fold out couch bed is uncomfortable.

Do not book with them if you plan on canceling your reservation they will charge you the full amount of the room! I booked 2 rooms and before check in early in the morning I went in to check out the hotel due to what was going on in the parking lot when we arrived. Inside the hotel there were people just hanging out in the lobby one who looked like he was on something (very spaced out acting) a lady who kept asking a man if was some guy and finally the man said he was there to get her for the man she was inquiring about. She told him to let him know she would be right out and I followed her into the restroom. There was a lady picking on her face in the restroom and the 2 ladies whispered back in forth for a while then one left with the man. Upon going into the hotel 2 ladies who looked and seemed to be some type of prostitutes waiting for a man to pick them up. A man showed up both ladies jump in the back of the car and left. Then there was a man sitting at the front door who was talking about being arrested and his civil rights were violated. Went online and checked out the most recent reviews on the hotel to learn they had bed bugs and cockroaches. I was not going to let my little children stay in a place like this so I booked a different hotel and cancelled this one. I look at my statement later and realize I was charged over $400 and never stayed at this place. I called the hotel to be put on hold multiple times and not getting any results.

Quiet. Comfortable well appointed rooms. Bedding very comfortable. Clean well maintained and nice looking hotel. Rooms a little small but still very comfortable. Very nice hard working service staff. Right near Old Town Prague. Cafe has great food. Easily a 5 star Hotel. I only gave it 4 stars as the rooms are smaller than other 5 star hotels and there was not enough drawer space to unpack while we were here. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

Good value for the price. We reserved two rooms… The single King room, with New flooring & flat screen was nicer than the double Queen which still had very old carpet & a box tv. The ice machine down by the pool doesn't work, head to floor 5. Great location close to everything, grocery store, bank & restaurants within walking distance.

These peple ask for ur security code before anything… Thats no goood.

We need to settle more and have televisions hd. If the service was very good.

Rooms are a little dated, the TV was from the 90's I would guess. The stay was fine though, no problems with the staff, parking was easily accessible.

Good views. Clean and comfy except the mini fridge they deliverd had a couple of roaches coming out of it, was not cleaned inside.

This place extremely sucked, from the time you open the door to go into the hotel it smelled like mildew it looked more like a run down motel than a hotel, one step into the room and the bugs appear… Do your self a huge favor and do not stay here, don't even pass by it! I can't stress it enough…

The location is great. We've stayed there several times and have never had a problem. Rooms have always been clean. A/C didn't work once but they fixed it right away. I plan on staying there again.

It has nothing no micro in quarters or cooler the toilet was clogged gave him half-star.

Decent weekly rate for the area. Amazing view from top floor facing the city. The bed is uncomfortable, the water shut off three times for hours at a time, one out of two elevators worked, the gym is non-existent, and the area is closed off anyway. The breakfast shows that management doesn't care about the patrons, the hallway walls are puke green, and some 'critters' visited from inside the bathroom sink. I called repeatedly for pest control, which was never done. One maintenance man is extremely arrogant, as is the housekeeping manager. The noise of the slamming fire doors by those I just mentioned is inescapable. Never again.

Air conditioning does not cool no little heats yet. In the morning at 9: 00 you get a bad phone you smoke in the room man could just auschchecken and buses pay $250. We are non-smoking. Bauffet cheek.

We stayed here its really good to have just good location and price is fair. As other guest complained it is not so some greedy customer wants discount by complaining. Do not go with peoples comments as many just like to complais kaka.

God-awful. The AC in our room did not work. Requested they fix it and they never did. Ice machine did not work. We bought air freshener and Lysol because the room smelled. Extremely run-down all throughout the hotel. The location is nice, but the hotel is garbage. Paid $257 a night, worst purchase of my life. Don't make the same mistake we made.
