We have stayed here many times over past 15 + years. While it is not what I would call fancy. The prices are average and it is perfect for a weekend getaway for 2 or for a family stay. It is directly across from activities such as deep sea fishing it is also surrounded by grocery shopping, restaurants, ice cream shop and near by sea world as well as Point Loma one of my favorite places to visit, just to name a few. As well as 15 mins from the beaches. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Very rarely have we had an issue since the current owners/management took over. We were just there this past weekend. I know we will continue to stay here when we visit san diego. Very satisfied repeat/return customer. The Jones.

It is a great location and super easy to get to a lot of San Diego. The staff was really welcoming and helpful. The rooms are a nice size and clean. Overall a great stay!

As far as rooms go, it was pretty average. Nothing fancy but it was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The view over the bay was really nice. Staff was friendly and the check in process was straight forward. I hesitate to give a higher rating because I might have gotten food poisoning from the breakfast.

The staff is flexible and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable (but not luxurious) and very good equipped. I do not like American breakfast, so I'd better not assess it — to "Jack in the Box" it is only a minute to walk.

Prompt pickup from airport, very friendly staff. I have stayed here many times because of the proximity to the airport. Parking used to be free for several days but now is $8 per day if you stay there. A bit cheaper than the main lots but not practical unless you have a early departure or early arrival and a hotel would be useful.

I stayed here on a Saturday night. Everyone was very nice. The room was fine & I enjoyed the breakfast. A lot of things within walking distance.

The checking process was really easy. The lady who checked us in was really friendly. I did not talk to other staffs so cannot make much comments about it. When we entered the lobby, it looked kind of nice and clean. However, the rooms were disappointing. I immediately sensed the smell of the room. It smelled old, rusty and moldy. The beds were okay. The armchair had a lot of stains. The floor is terrible. The hallway has tiles which absolutely looks disgusting. The bathrooms are very small. I traveled with a toddler so quietness and cleanliness was important. Unfortunately, I did not get those. It was extremely noisy in the evening because of some mannerless guests in the hotel. They were smoking pots and whole hallway smelled pot. We even complained about noise but did not work. On the other side, free parking and free breakfast was an awesome feature of this hotel. If you don't care noise and hygiene issue, we can stay here. Would not recommend for family with children. This review is written for feedback purpose. The hotel should be aware of these issues so that appropriate action can be taken. Nothing against it's staffs. They were nice people.

Super clean! Good service, very basic breakfast but good. The frozen pool because they stopped using the heat, they don't turn it on, you can't use it like that.

Very nice Hotel, no noises from the street but there is no bathroom in the Oll.

Staff were very knowledgeable of local area. Room was clean and everything functioned as it should. Even though there was heavy road construction right outside my first floor window I never heard a sound.

They are doing their best with an older property and the place is pretty nice. Only issue I had was a fairly small room and a low-brow neighborhood. But still a good value.

We stayed one night here because we wanted to get to airport next morning and they also allowed us to leave car parked for a week at a reasonable price. The room was small and frankly dirty. The curtain in the bathroom was totally disgusting. The staff was absolutely great from the front desk person to the shuttle driver. The four stars were for the staff. They were the only redeeming quality.

A very adequate hotel. Older facility, but renovated. Rooms clean & functional, with exception of internet, which I gave up on. TV worked intermittently. Inadequate tables for breakfast. Adequate parking (free) but spread across 4 separate lots.

Front desk staff and all other were very polite. Hotel was clean and furniture was modern. Lights had USB plugs built in. Shower head was really neat. Didn't checkout pool.

I stayed here a year ago and was pleased so I rebooked this year. I found the elevator to be old and only big enough for one person despite a "1400 lb weight limit". My room was smaller and not as nice as last year (both were king sized single rooms). The walls were grimy and the continental breakfast wad disappointing. The OJ machine was broken — as was the waffle iron. The airport shuttle was still very convenient, as was proximity to Fisherman's Landing. If I make the same trip next year, I'm not confident that I'll stay here again.

Hotel has very friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are clean and well tended. The lobby has a small convenience store. It is close to restaurants and a lot of other amenities like SeaWorld and the zoo. It is close to Mission beach and Sunset Cliffs. The only minor complaint is that the pool is outdoors and not heated. They are renovating and repainting to improve it right now (Jan. 26.2018). I would give it 4.5 stars.

This is an older motel that has been remodeled. Small room and not super luxurious, but overall a decent stay for the price. It has a fridge and microwave. Within walking distance of some decent restaurants and bars. The area is a little weird. Just a couple blocks away you'll find fancy shopping centers and beautiful homes, but there are also a lot of sketchy characters around. I wouldn't feel really comfortable walking the streets at night, to be honest.

Good, friendly service and airport shuttle, clean facilities and swimming pool. Short walk to the marina and some great restaurants and liquor stores. Gets the 5th star for affordability! I would definitely stay here again.

Room is nice but the bathrooms could be updated better it looks like a home bathroom and there should a better breakfast like bacon scrambled eggs sausage I love the waffle the staff is very nice tho.

The rooms were clean but in need of an update. The location was convenient for all the sight seeing we wanted to do. There is not always a manager on duty to resolve issues.

Friendly staff, clean rooms. Owners always happy to see returning customers! They personally thank you. Great views from the rooms and they just redecorated. New paint and furnishings.

Excellent service from the staff, everyone I met was super friendly and helpful. Location is perfect if you are doing anything with the boats in the area. Room was clean, but I think they were working on the bathroom upgrades.

I came here with a bunch of my top hatters brothers we had a blast we were treated great the staff is awsome here 10 stars in my opinion.

Kind of small but the staffs are fantastic. They are really friendly and helpful. When the couldn't get the shuttle bus to airport, they paid for our cab to the airport.

This would be a five-star as soon as they get their elevator repaired! The people here have been extremely helpful and friendly. Very pleasant visit both times I've stayed here. The continental breakfast is above average! The rooms are clean, the hotel is well maintained. I'll gladly stay here on my next visit to San Diego!

Just getting to our room was very awkward and really unclear. However the staff were polite and helpful. The main building was nice, unlike where our room was. Breakfast was decent but lacking in protein. All the see stuff you could want but could use some and sausage at least. The room is pretty good with everything you could need. The laundry service is good although overpriced.

Great location across from Shelter Island. Good clean room. Food is ok. I was very impressed overall for the price.

Wonderful friendly staff. Outstanding location for access via public transit including the airport. Great seafood restaurants just a step or so away. Breakfast is pretty good but not great. There isn't much hot food choice.

Very basic hotel, a place to lay your head. The hotel has a few newer items like carpet and paint but is still dated. The elevator is old and small, also the permit was expired. Small room, old bed but easily located to the airport. Breakfast is simple. With only two items for those allergic to gluten.

This hotel is a little pricey and it's old! Renovated. Be aware going in that the rooms facing the bay are wildly more satisfying to stay in because of the breeze and view. The rooms are renovated and the Wi-Fi is super fast. If you like the marina atmosphere go for the bay view rooms, otherwise I would pick someplace cheaper.

Overall it was the staff was great, but the best was the man that drove the courtesy van, he was great!

I was down for business in the San Diego area, and this place was great. Super convenient location directly located marina and very close by to the airport. The room was clean and equipped with everything I needed. They also have a breakfast with multiple items to choose from. Overall, I was very comfortable and happy with my stay here.

Location was nice. Hotel a bit dated but fair accomodations.

Small room. Cleanliness could be better. And, wow, I have never stayed in such a loud hotel. Paper-thin walls and floors = loud, thunderous rumbles from above and loud conversations and televisions on the other. Then there's the AC problems. Very disappointed.

The shuttle stopped running at 10:30p and we got out to the stop at 10:35 so that wasn't great. The morning shuttle didn't start back up until 5a so both trips we had to take a taxi or Uber which kind of defeated the purpose of me booking this place based on the shuttle. The rooms were recently redone which looked nice, but the room fit the bed and a tiny table. The room seemed to be a handicap room but I doubt that a wheelchair could have maneuvered in there at all. The bed was comfy for the 3 hours I was in it.

The hotel service was great, with friendly staff and complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. The facilities were a bit run-down, but not rally unexpected for the hotel rate.

With just a little bit more effort this could be 4 stars. Things like sloppy painting in the bathroom getting painting on racks, tissue holders, tile and other things. It's great the paint is fresh and the rooms are clean but just the little bit of not doing it right leaves the impression that attention to detail is not there. Overall, the room was great, bed was comfortable, wooden floors, mini fridge, microwave, good linens and coffee maker. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Had a Bayview balcony room that was very enjoyable except for the fact the balcony lights came on as part of the outside lighting and that made it impossible to enjoy after dark. $140 on the weekend is a little steeper than it should be the weekday rate was in the $80 for online booking. Overall after 4 nights, we would do it again.

It was clean, nice calmed area. Everyone was nice and they have free breakfast if I would go back I would definitely go back to this place.

Nice little place near the marina, with very good access to the airport and downtown. Well-kept rooms and very helpful staff. Best place I stayed in California.

We just spent 3months at the airport Ramada Inn, San Diego, CA. It is the perfect spot across from the Marina & close to some wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats come in with their big Yellow Fin Tuna some weighting 300LB. We had a third floor room facing the Marina with a balcony which we used for coffee time & lunch. We called it our penthouse. The Inn owners treated us like royalty & the staff was just as nice. They made us feel like home. Also, the Inn is not new but very clean. Perfect weather! Pat & Jim.
