Really a nice Hotel, across the street for the State Capitol. This place is a major upgrade from the last place I stayed in down in Monterey.

Great experience, very nice staff, clean quiet room and a yummy breakfast included! Will be back next time visiting Sac will be my go too hotel. Thanks Max.

This is a great location for groups meeting in Sacramento for affordable, comfortable, walkable accommodations.

Overall, my 6 day stay here was pleasant. It's located right in downtown Sacramento and easily accessible by foot to lots of good bars and restaurants. It's a boutique hotel, so not your traditional hotel, but very intimate, clean and comfortable. When we checked in they had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at the front desk (gotta love that). Check in was easy and pleasant (no waiting at all). They provide a daily continental breakfast of juice, coffee, tea, muffins, bread, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, cheese omelets and oatmeal. Things to know before you book. They do have on-site parking for $10 a day. Which is a nice perk, however, it's a first come, first serve parking situation in a small parking garage. If you drive and stay out late on the weekend, you will most likely be out of luck trying to a parking spot. PLEASE NOTE, the hotel charges for parking on a "daily basis. " You must inform them if you have to park elsewhere, otherwise they will automatically apply the $10 charge to your credit card. On the 2nd day I noticed a strong, plastic-chemical-like oder in the lobby and in the common inner area of the hotel. My guess is it's some sort if cleaning solution, and it smells awful. It wasn't detectable every day and fortunately, I wasn't able to smell it in my room. But it is definitely worth mentioning, especially if you are sensitive to smells. As I mentioned, overall my stay was very comfortable and pleasant and I would book/stay here again.

The Inn off Capital Park in Sacramento was an incredible way to re-introduce myself to the neighborhood I grew up in until age 10. Midtown Sac is really awesome and our stay at this hotel was amazing! I called the day before out stay on 8/10/2018 to verify the room and tell them it was my wife's birthday. The staff was so nice! They had a nice potted rose plant with beautiful orange blooms for my wife and a nice note wishing her a happy birthday! Incredible and everyone was so delightful throughout our stay. Particularly, Marlynn Smith was so friendly and helpful with breakfast and morning coffee. She really made us feel at home. Easy parking for $10 a day and a dream location. Highly recommend and we are already planning another trip back!

Very clean, well renovated, helpful staff, great courtyard, has free breakfast, great location, and well worth the rates! For a random Saturday night I paid $150 after taxes & whatever else. I was perfectly ok paying it.

Pretty good. Nice interior courtyard with breakfast. Rooms are really small and there are no view windows as far as I could tell. Some of the rooms open to the breakfast area, but it is pretty quiet so not a big deal. Great location though. Right near R street, light rail, midtown, the whole deal. A good location for tourists to use to see the city.

The room, service and breakfast were great. Amenities, including satellite, a large TV and Wi-Fi, were fantastic.

Great staff, very accommodating. Like the small hotel and it's close to a lot of great restaurants. The beautiful Capitol Park is only a block away for taking walks in.

The parking lot here is pretty small so make sure you check in on time. The rooms are nice but nothing to rave about for the price. Staff was very helpful and caring as well.

Check in was quick and easy. Breakfast was prompt and clean. I appreciate unfriendly the staff was on a busy weekend, since things can be hectic. The only thing that bothered me was how loud everything seemed outside, like the insulation or walls were thin. Very nice other than that.

I will be there in the morning to see if you want to go to the store and get some rest and feel better soon and that is why I am asking for a friend to talk to you.

This hotel is very clean and the rooms are very nice and probably recently redone. It’s an old motor inn kind of motel like in the marina district of San Francisco. It’s not the best neighborhood but I didn’t feel unsafe and that’s the norm for downtown sac. The only thing Is that there is extremely limited parking. I’m talking like ~10 spots max. Overall quite pleasant.

Stayed here for a few days last week. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were a little small but super cute. I would definitely stay here again. Very clean.

Upside: Nice, clean, updated and convenient! Downside: There is an internal courtyard that amplifies sound when there is activity (talking) so it can be a bit noisy when you are trying to rest/sleep. The property supplies earplugs in the room, so this must be a common complaint. Also, parking is very limited and they charge $10 per day.

This place is very nice! Lots of extras such as shoe mit and Bath and Body hair supplies and the staff was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Close to Ace of Spades and a nice walk.

Had a pickup request from here. Picked up a couple ladies and drove them from here to the airport and around downtown Sacramento a little bit. Really nice lobby and friendly staff. Were very cool about me parking and waiting for all of them to figure out their plans and load up etc.

I flew in from Australia on a Tuesday, I had requested an early check in though I know it's not guaranteed, they had one ready for me. Patrick (as well as the other ladies who I didn't manage to grab their names yet) at the front desk was great with directions and recommendations on shops, supermarkets ect. And there was a lovely lady down setting up breakfast y…esterday (Wednesday) who was so sweet and had the best energy about her! She was so passionate about the breakfast too. Great Starbucks coffee machine may I add ;) Very cute, boutique feeling style, clean. I got to my room, it was very clean inside, modern, tidy and smells good every where! It's a small place and quiet, which for my trip purpose was GREAT.
— The beds are extremely comfortable. Some of the best sleep I've ever had on a trip overseas!
— Gym is very small but had cardio equipment that did the trick just fine! Walking distance to some fast food, supermarkets and beautiful parks from what I can see. $7 uber to Arden Mall. Overall a great experience so far :) here for another 3 days!

I stayed in this hotel to take the July 2016 bar exam so I was looking for something quiet and relaxing. This is a nice place for that. I stayed in a corner room which is supposed to be quieter than others. There was quite a bit of construction at the time so in the A. M you did hear that. May be annoying for people who are looking to sleep in, but the construction may have ended by now. Very clean nice room. Lovely breakfast area. Great location and an easy walk to the convention center and several restaurants. Parking is difficult though! Very small area and there is a fee. If you can avoid taking a car, try to do that. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would return again!

Pros: I've stayed here in the past and I really enjoy the convenience of the nearby restaurants. There's plenty of places to get a drink within a 5-minute walk. The place itself is quaint and cozy. Feels like an oasis once inside the main floor. My room was a corner room which had great views and a spacious couch. The Staff was extremely nice and polite, especially to the front desk person who helped me when the AC unit in my room went out. She quickly and efficiently fixed the problem. The housekeeping staff always made sure I had clean towels. I also appreciate the fact they allowed me to leave my car until I finished the last day of my test, even after I checked out. Also, the staff member who tends the breakfast bar was always very nice and professional during my stay. I really appreciated having a small fridge and microwave in my room. Cons: Beginning this year, they started charging for parking. I guess this is across the board, so not really a bad thing for them. Also, there is big construction project going on across N Street. Don't expect a comfortable morning on the weekdays. You'll hear jackhammers and excavators sounds starting at 7 am. Finally, the parking space is very tight and limited.

Yes, it is a good place to catch bedbugs and cockroaches. The owner and management are belligerent, antagonistic, and petty. I don't know what place some of these reviewers are talking about, but it can. T be the Capitol Park Hotel.

Great location. Clean and comfortable beds. I do wish that they close the gap at the bottom of the door, it let's in a lot of light.

Elegant rooms, clean and comfortable. Nice mattresses, I normally struggle to sleep in hotels but u slept really well. Friendly people, hot breakfast included, about a 5 minute walk to the convention center but still separated enough that you can get away from the crowds. Definitely planning to stay here again for future conventions.

My new favorite place and I average flying three times a month to Sacramento. Home away from home. People here are friendly and warm.

Don't let the old brick deter you. This hotel offers a Quaint historical feel with old world charm shining through in details. The rooms are a little small but make for a snug cozy feel. The rooms are updated but the hotel lobby could use a little TLC. Overall a quiet hotel with excellent accommodating staff. The hotel is 2 blocks from Gas lamp, the mall and even has an amazing French bistro downstairs as well as other restaurants in close proximity. A great alternative to a chain hotel.

I love this place, love the help. I've been coming here regularly about 10 years. Basic fare: Burgers are the best in the city for the money, and breakfasts are first-rate.

Nice, newly renovated rooms. 1st floor has a bit of a foul, chemical smell at this time (mid Feb 2016). Staff was very nice. Haven't had any issues with noise like other complaints. The hotel is still undergoing renovations at this time.

Free breakfast! Small parking lot in the building. Lots of places to eat. Was under renovation during my stay and was quite noisy.

Great location for the California International Marathon — and cheaper rates than the official hotels. Convenient to R Street restaurants and galleries. One block from the Capitol mall. Rooms are large — — ours was almost a suite: bed area, desk and couch area, bathroom, with a good size mini-fridge and microwave and keurig coffeemaker. Fixtures and decorations are a little tired, but renovation/updating was going on while we were there: crates full of Restoration Hardware toilet seats. Rooms look out on a presumably formerly open courtyard, now roofed over with something that lets the light in for a sort of atrium effect for the 2nd floor lobby and breakfast room. Room windows to the courtyard let a little light and a lot of noise in. Maybe because of this, mgmt provides ear plugs in the rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Bed Bugs! Bed Bugs! Bed Bugs! Please avoid this hotel if you can! Sure, the hotel is in a decent area (near the state capitol), the hotel rooms have been recently renovated but that's about the only good thing about the hotel. The BAD? Well, on top of getting a room that had not been cleaned yet, missing toiletries and a not so great continental breakfast (old fruit and gross omelette looking thing), I received 7 bed bug bites all over my neck. I woke up to intense scratching on my neck and when I woke up, I realized they were bumps. It's readily apparent hotel management doesn't care about customer service because when I called the hotel to voice my complaints and concerns, they went so far to insist that I brought the bugs to the hotel or simply contracted hives. They said that the room was inspected and found no traces of any bugs and that they had a report of their findings, but then they changed their story. When I asked for the report, they said that the inspection had not been completed yet and that once it was, I would be given a copy. Not only did the management deny my request for a reimbursement but they also continued to be rude and insist all of this was my fault. My only fault was picking this HORRIBLE hotel. They have no customer service skills and they cannot own up to their inadequacies and mistakes. The least they can do is comp my room. So bottom-line, save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else.

They call it a "hotel, " however, it is actually a senior living facility. They don't rent rooms for the night… only by the month. Last I checked, this no longer qualifies it to be a hotel. Thanks for wasting my time.

A previous guest reviewer recently termed this hotel a “wonderful gem. ” I would have agreed before my watch was stolen from my room. I’ve been a business traveler for over 30 years and have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the country. I have never complained about or complemented a hotel stay. My needs are simple, clean and quiet room. I stayed at the Inn Off Capital Park for five nights in late March 2015. My stay was uneventful until the morning of the last full day when I inadvertently left an expensive Hamilton wrist watch on my desk in the room. I didn’t realize my mistake until halfway through the business day when I looked at my wrist for the time and suddenly realized my watch was not there and then remembered on the desk in my hotel room. When returning to the hotel later that day, I immediately searched my room, all my possessions, and even my rental car. The watch was gone. I went downstairs and notified the guest services clerk who said she would search the housekeeping room. The watch was not found and I was then told to complete an incident report. The guest service manager contacted me a few days later and said that another search of the room, as well as interviews with housekeeping staff, failed to turn up the watch. The case was closed with no apologies. I accept full responsibility for leaving my watch on the desk of my hotel room.

We were looking for a quaint place within walking distance to everything downtown. This is our new home away from home.
