No hot water in the room makes for a less than ideal stay. No help at all from the front desk, and I couldn't reach the manager after two days of phone calls. Very poor customer service.

I had crews working in Ridgecrest for several weeks and this hotel made several billing errors. They currently still owe our company refunds that they refuse to give and every time we reach out to the manager, she is unavailable, on the phone, in a meeting, in an interview, etc. There is always another excuse for her not to take our calls. We have been trying to get our refunds since mid-June and she has yet to call us back. I tried to call again today, and first, she was on the phone so I offered to hold, then she was not available and there is no one else I can talk to her other than her. Very unprofessional for someone supposedly in a management position. I DO NOT recommend this hotel nor working with the manager Sarah Bradford!

Several items went missing from our room. After a long day of work repairing the town from a natural disaster! Very disappointing when my crew is just here to help the town. What a welcome…

My Husband and his work crew stayed here while rebuilding after the earthquakes. After a very long day of work my Husband and his crew returned to their room and it had been ransacked and lots of their personal belongings had been stolen! My Husband spoke to management, who, was not helpful at all! They basically told my Husband that he and his crew stole their own belongings and there was nothing they could do. My Husband has called corporate but I’m afraid they’ll do nothing, just like management. Such an awful way to treat people who are there to help rebuild your city!

Only there for a quick over night, but after traveling and staying in some icky places the Clarion was a dream come true. Friendly people, clean rooms, comfortable beds and loved the breakfast. Buildings were adorable. Just an overall very relaxing environment. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We were locked n our room for approximately 10 minutes, the door would not open. It took them that long to unlock our door so we could get out! They offered me 30.00, wow! Will never go there again!

Great friendly staff. Good little gym. Good pool. Clean and spacious room. Couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was also good. (I am Vegetarian)

Place was really built nice. Lots of class and room. Had tooth paste. Good AC. Awesome place.

Our TV looks like it's from 1990. It was Fuzzy the channel up button did not work and it was a giant box. The carpet is grimy. The hot tub did not heat up. The kids said it felt like a giant bathtub. I'm a vegetarian and when I ate breakfast I asked them if I could get an omelette without the meat in it. The waiter said that they have tons of different omelettes but that the only option I had was 1 with meat and that only people paying at the restaurant could have a meatless option.

This hotel looks nice from the photos. It was fine when we arrived there but the next morning, there were roaches in the bed as well as the floor. We also had to wait in the roach infested room for 4 hours for a manager to feel like coming to their job. This shouldn’t happen if rated almost 4 stars.

Only flaw found cockroach in the ground floor room near the pool.

Just an ok hotel. Looks modern and has nice enough decor but there is definitely some work to be done. My bathroom’s fan would make an extremely loud grinding sound and the light was too dim so I didn’t even bother turning them on during my stay. I know the maids knew it was broken yet they clearly never reported it and I wasn’t staying long enough to really care. There was also other cosmetic issues with the room like a lot of dings and scratches on the walls. Also under the bathroom sink they didn’t even bother to paint all the way up the wall. Not a serious problem, but it’s definitely something I’d get fixed if I were management.

Enjoyed our stay. Clean and nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that there was supposed to be a continental breakfast. But instead of a buffet style it was a restaurant. That sounds great but the wait was so long because of course everyone who stayed there got a free breakfast and they only had two waiters on staff. After waiting a long time to be seated we left and got breakfast some place else.

It's more or less what you'd expect from a motel in terms of cleanliness. Lobby smelled like smoke from the employee smoking right outside the door. The free breakfast was pretty good but took forever. Not great nose isolation from the pool area.

The staff were friendly (especially Mindy. Give her better shifts! ), the room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was good. The gym, pool, and hot tub were small but serviceable. The free Wi-Fi is spotty, but when it connects, it's good. My only gripe is that the carpet in the room could be changed out. Other than that, for the amount that I paid, this was a really good place to stay.

We stopped by this small town on our cross country road trip. It was a beautiful room, better than many hotels of the same star classification. Great service. There are many food places near by also. Only problem being their complementary breakfast. It's restaurant style — so if you need a quick breakfast, that's not going to happen.

I had a great experience staying here! I had no problems with cleanliness, the room was in perfect condition when I got there. Also, the shower was nice and clean and the water got hot quickly. Also, the breakfast here was not promoted enough in the reviews. It was simple but freshly cooked cafe style food.

Had breakfast it was pretty good. The heater in the room worked moderately well. Pillows felt good and the shower worked. Big TV if you're into that and a decent sized pool.

Carpet in rooms really needs to be replaced. We had some issues with hot/cold water (hard to get shower hot and hard to get sink water cold) But customer service was good. Bathroom flooring and vanities have been updated and are nice. Sit-down breakfast was good, but definitely not a fast option. Good location in town.

Not bad, classic motel to stay only QLC Day.

Visited Charlie's and was pleasantly surprised by atmosphere. Bartender made great wine recommendation as well as appetizer recommendation. I would definitely go back!

Very friendly staff. In fact, they were some of the most cheerful I've met. I enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel. The complex looks like it's being renovated. I knocked it one star because breakfast was hard to get if you are in a hurry. It's through the restaurant as well and looked amazing. I'll give more time for it on my next visit. The bed was very comfy too, which is a plus.

Small rooms with no wardrobe, CRT TVs and carpets not cleaned especially in the early days.

Nice rooms, but not functional. We stay in a double but the space X storing your clothes is very small. Rooms quite clean. Breakfast is not really the best but acceptable.

From all of the hotels I have searched in and around Ridgecrest the Clarion seems to be the best value. My room was modern, not on par with the Hilton but still pretty nice. The cleanliness of the facilities was great and the amenities are perfect: pool, gym, etc. Not to mention you get free breakfast included in their restaurant. From what I've seen the Clarion is a good pick but I do have one recommendation: talk with the restaurant staff about customer service. We waited for 10+ minutes without even being greeted, although it was a busy morning, this is still unacceptable. We ended up going across the street for our breakfast.

There was a tub that had no plug. Not that you'd want to lay in it as it was discolored. There was a lot of water damage in the shower area. The grout was filthy. The vent in the bathroom made a terrible droning on. And it was covered in about an inch of dust. Not something you expect for the Priceline express deal of $75 or regular $94. The beds were like springs with fabric over them and they sagged and the sheets were rough. The room had a moist smell to it upon walking in. The freezer in the mini fridge was too small for my ice chest.

Pleasantly surprised. I normally stay at the Springhill Inn and Suites. But it was a spur of the moment trip and price was a consideration. Nice rooms, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice change from the normal feed line. I will stay here again.

The bed, pillows and blankets are great. Clean room complete with amenities. We do not have cold water in the hotel so get ready to get burnt in the shower. The breakfast sucks. You will get hot food but you have to wait in line for 15minutes to get a table then another 45minutes to get your food. It's not a typical buffet. You have to order thru a restaurant. Under staff.

Excellent place to stay. You get home cooked breakfast. The rooms are clean with a frig and microwave. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Dismal experience. Power went out in bathroom in the middle of the night. Had to use cellphone lights to use bathroom. Had to put coffeemaker on bedroom floor to access outlet. Neighbors were chain smoking; forget about the nonsmoking label. Furniture holding minifridge and microwave was filthy. In morning the front desk said we needed to reset bathroom GFCI to get lights to work; bring your toolkit. Stay someplace else. Of course management will respond with the typical “thank you for your comments. ”

Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast was amazing! It was included with the room fee and you pick from a menu. Great service for a great price. Definitely recommend this place.

This place is amazing. The rooms are gorgeous refrigerator and microwave included. And when they say breakfast is included we're talking a real breakfast as in good selection such as omelets hash browns pancakes croissant sandwich with sausage and cheese. The rooms are just so comfortable there's just no other way to describe it but to say we had to stay an extra night. The staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly. We would definitely come here again and I have a feeling it's going to be soon just for the heck of it. If you want to just get out of the city and relax I highly recommend this hotel it's worth every single penny.

I am committed to staying at the Clarion for work and convenience reasons and to date this will be my fifth week. So far: Positives: 1. Everyone (except one), has been very hospitable). 2. Parking is never a problem. 3. Good breakfast. 4. Beds have been consistently comfortable. 5. Clean rooms. 6. Exercise room available. Negatives: 1. I continuously have bugs in my room (but again, the room is clean). 2. The lower cable channels have worked with the uppers not working and vise versa depending on the room. This is inclusive of the exercise room. 3. The shower water seemed to be set on a thermostat, as the heat level in the shower never gets hot (accellerating heat stops just as warm kicks in). This was typical until this week as there is no cold water, at all. 4. The breakfast is nice. You are personally served and although the selection is not broad, it is good! 5. There is a waiter who has been consistent in the time-frames I am there (M-Th). He has been rude to me from day one. Not a pleasant man and has the appearance of disliking his job! I recommend scoping the joint and sitting where the waitresses serve!

I was on vacation with my 2 nieces. When checking in the front desk agent was very nice. It is a shame she was left alone on her 4th day. We did have to change rooms due to fridge not working and the non smoking room smelt like a fresh smoked cig. The room move was great. Clean room nice big tv's and the tile in the bathroom looks amazing.
Breakfast was good but the waitress had a lot to desire. I stood there for 15 min while she came and cashed other guests out. Even other guest noticed it. My response to the other guest was " it's ok, I'm a choice employee, I will be reviewing this… "

The room was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The price was perfect for what we got. The outside walkway of the hotel needed work and there were a few areas where the upstairs outside walkway was very weak and I actually felt someone a bit heavier than normal, might break through. Checking in and out was very easy and the receptionist at the front desk was very helpful and checked us in with a smile. They are pet friendly, and our room came with breakfast.

Kristinara (my apologies if I misspelled her name) was very sweet, helpful and pleasant to talk to. She happily provided me a very comfortable room with a king bed and all accommodations you would expect from a FOUR STAR hotel, with the price of a three star hotel. Carpet and floors were in need of cleaning. Hotel overall in dire need of repairs and renovation. Luckily, the beds were clean and comfortable. Complimentary cook to order breakfast was surprisingly good. Not the Ritz, but it'll do in a crunch.

Room looked clean and smelled nicely. Staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was fresh and tasty. There were a few negatives: fan in bathroom was abnormally loud, minor holes in the walls in bathroom (some were patched but not painted), and there was a tub but the only way to fill it was from the shower head (knob was missing). Another thing to note: I had a great experience but others may not have had such a great one. There were a lot of phone calls into the front desk for maintenance issues (I believe most were minor).

Spent 3 sleepless nights on 2/8, 2/9 and 2/10/17 in room 226 at the very back of the hotel. Party central, TV would at times not shut off. Called down to the office at 2 in the morning to complain and no one picked up the phone. Dirty, cold and not worth $147.60, $127.30 and $84.55.

Comfortable bed. Clean room. Friendly staff. Vending machines out of order. Coffee maker in room had no carafe. TV had no guide channel so it was impossible to know what was on. Reception bad on some channels. Restaurants good food.

Room was nice, didn't smell. Clean. Friendly staff who are quick to answer the phone. A pretty good size room. It seemed like there was a sufficient number of handicap spots to park.

Awesome staff, everyone was friendly and helpful, special shout to the night auditor who lend me some hot sauce and the maintenance guy who was power washing the sidewalks for rinsing out my cooler. Didn't spend much time in the room, big beautiful pool area with jacuzzi, horseshoes, and BBQ! Cooked burgers and chicken wings. Awesome hotel in ridgecrest. Delicious made to order breakfast too!

Cons: run down rooms but certainly not the worst I've stayed in. 4 of 10 lights burned out. Killed 1 Roach, 1 spider, and one fly (room on ground floor tho, not that unusual to get bugs). Messed up my reservation, thank goodness for email confirmations, free breakfast but possible long waits depending on when you show up and poor wait service. Pros: very responsive, professional, and friendly hotel staff. Free breakfast is full made to order and good. Excellent bar.

I had a whole review written up and Google reviews was nice enough to throw up an error when submitting, so here is the short version. Location — good, on main strip in Ridgecrest, nearer China Lake than most. Check in — good, night auditor was great. Room — comfortable, well furnished. TV was not LCD and had no HDMI Bathroom — roomy, only hot water in sink, only cold in shower, not fun at all. Breakfast — café was OK, long time to get order taken and made.

Great hotel in Ridgecrest. Clean and inviting. The hotel is also powered by a massive solar system on the hotel roof.

The Clarion has a great breakfast and in house restaurant. While rooms are a bit dated and the outside entrances aren't a plus, the staff umis superfriendly, the rums are clean and in good repair, and the amenities are nice. Great place to stay when traveling on business.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean and modern. The only reason why I won't give this five stars is that I booked the room for four adults, but only received three breakfast vouchers. Each additional breakfast is $7.00. So the breakfast wasn't completely free. However it was a really good breakfast.

The rooms were clean with a friendly and prompt staff. The breakfast was delicious as well. I would definitely stay here again.

The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is clean and there's plenty of closet space (if you plan to use it), and the hotel is close enough to highway 395 and not too far from Lone Pine, CA, for entering Death Valley National Park or continuing onto Mammoth. The only complaint I have about this hotel is that I did see a small roach along the baseboard.

Watch out for Room 251! There is *NO* cold water in the room, and the shower and sink get scalding hot. You could make tea with the water from the toilet tank after flushing. The shame is that the management is aware of this problem but has not fixed it. Everything else is 5-star. Great people on the front desk, beautifully clean and maintained rooms, terrific breakfast in the bistro with absolutely marvelous wait staff. Recommend staying here, but not in room 251 :-)

Don't use this hotel. They confirm your reservation but have a habit of overbooking it by 20%. I had a reservation for my wife and daughter and it was confirmed with a confirmation number. When they arrived the hotel explained their overbooking policy and said since they showed up the hotel wouldn't charge them for a no show, but they didn't have a room. My wife was stranded after a 12 hour drive in Ridgecrest! She and my daughter looked for other hotels but all were full. They slept in Walmart's parking lot in their car because they could not find another hotel! This is common practice for Clarion Ridgecrest. I sent a complaint to corporate with no response. It looks like a quick way to charge those that don't show but also to leave poor unsuspecting confirmed guests without a room.! Don't chance it!
