This place is the epitome of cool, hosting more Rock Stars than you can shake a stick at. The Villas are well thought out and give you all the privacy you could want, yet keep you only a few steps away from all the WeHo fun you need to have. We cannot wait to return to this property.

Best hotel in LA, period. Always my go to, has a great non stuffy jibe with beautiful grounds.

If you’re wondering if you should stay here… the answer is YES! The suites are perfect, balconies are actually super comfortable to chill outdoors, the restaurant is amazing, and the ladies at the front desk are always smiling and helpful! Let’s not forget the wonderful valet! We enjoyed everything during our stay! Will be back for sure very soon! ❤️

I was lucky enough to stay here courtesy of Viacom. The entire staff was welcoming, kind, gracious, and thoughtful. I was treated as if I was one of the celebrity guests (there were a few), instead of just a normal person. My villa was luxurious, comfortable, clean, and well-maintained (the shower and tub were amazing). The gardens were tranquil, lush, and inhabited by lots of hummingbirds. I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel restaurant for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious from start to finish. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel and its staff. They gave me an unforgettable LA experience, and I hope to stay here again in the future!

Thank you sooo much for such a great time! I traveled by myself and 2 kids. Valet and housekeeping was awesome and very prompt. Everyone was so nice as well. We were in a great tucked away spot in a very busy and popular location of West Hollywood. The grounds were beautiful and restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you so much for the experience!

We have thoroughly loved our stay here. What a fabulous location. A true but oasis in the middle of the Los Angeles. It is serene yet hip. The service is superb. We will most definitely be back.

If you have the means, definitely a cool hotel to check out at least once if you’re into the Hollywood history of their musicians and actors, but at $800-$1000 a night when all is said and done. There’s better value for your dollar. Sidenote: this may be a nitpick but it may help some readers: staff is fine, but don’t expect to treated like you will at most other hotels in the $800-$1, 200 per night range. Something just a little off with the staff, couldn’t quite put my finger on it but I guess it just seemed like they were sort of arrogant. It was kinda funny though and to be honest didn’t really care and didn’t impact our enjoyment of the stay.

Great atmosphere. Went to an acoustic concert poolside. Event was well organized and I had a great night. Not to mention that the food was amazing and the drinks mixed to perfection.

I ate at the hotel's restaurant called Cavatina. I loved the food there! They served Kusshi Oysters which are amazing! The hotel has nice posters of actors & singers. There are 2 pools. The atmosphere is very lovely here!

Ok it's expensive but in this case you get what you pay for. Thoughtful and friendly service, and great room, pool and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, we didn't dine here in the evening. The restaurant setting is superb.

I have been at the Sunset Marquis for years. The 2 pools are wonderful, the staff is absolutely lovely. And the rock vibe is great. It is Chateau Marmont without the over-rated hype.

Love this place! So peaceful and relaxed in the middle of the big city. Cavatina always has something delicious on the menu and the photos everywhere are not to be missed.

The setting of this hotel is beautiful! It's so lush and green, that you don't even feel like you are in the city. It has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant, Cavatina, is delicious and has wonderful outdoor seating next to running water and tons of greenery! The pool is refreshing!

Quick visit for drinks. There was a piano player that could play songs by ear. Great vibe.

Nice pricey hotel bar with dark intimate setting. You can smoke on the patio and the service is quick.

The staff is here is superb and very friendly. We stayed in a suite for my friend's birthday and arrived to champagne and chocolate covered strawberries flecked with goldv and more. The suite was gorgeous and I spent a more than a few minutes in the bathtub wondering how I could sneak said tub out the door. I didn't go in the bar, but met a very friendly gentleman outside of it while walking my dog. So if you're single or want to record a hit song at their all-night recording studio, this is the place for you!

I’ve stayed at almost every hotel boutique hotel and resort in Los Angeles and Palm Springs and this is probly in my top 3 hotels. This place is exquisite with there attention to details I stayed in a bungalow and would recommend you do the same it’s the only way to go. You would never know this beautiful hotel and small jungle was even there it’s sitting in the middle of everything but when inside you feel as secure and secluded as ever. Def recommend staying here.

I have bed coming here for a few years now, to enjoy the amazingly creative and wordly vibe of the people who frequent the bar. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the decor is vintage rocker chic (with orchids everywhere (how can you not love a giant photo of Bowie? ), and j’adore always a koi pond, which is even better with a cascading, curving giant fountain. The food is nothing to write home about, but the atmosphere is top notch!

Really nice hotel. It's expensive but I love the decor and layout. They have that little secret garden in the middle. A nice restaurant outside, a bar inside. It has a very Hollywood vibe. Very sunny California. Highly recommend it.

Delicious restaurant, but the rooms need soundproofing. Any door that closed in the corridor echoed through my room, the walls were so thin I could hear everything my neighbors were saying, and the doors kept out none of the hallway conversations. I'd eat there again, but not stay overnight.

I've been coming to the Marquis for 20 years now. Have always felt welcome by the staff over the years. Recently had the pleasure of meeting Logan who went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. I still remember Slash cradling my 9 month old daughter whilst I went to the bar to order drinks, she's now 16 and loves telling her friends about that one. Thank you Sunset Marquis, without institutions like you rock and roll would be a mere memory… x.

A wonderful hotel a great welcome!

Atmosphere is great here. Free love music at the pool with RSVP or walk in. Restaurant prices are high but good for a cheese and charcuterie stop. The bar in front has a nice selection of whiskey.

Nice hotel but beware of hidden charges. We stayed for 2 nights and weren't aware of breakfast not being included in our package, nor Wi-Fi or parking. You are not told this at check in and overall our stay cost us $300 dollars more than we were expecting. It would be fine if you were told. If you are hoping to keep your car there beware the parking costs $40 a night. The rooms are nice but the above leaves a bad taste at check out — pricing needs to be transparent.

One of the best hotel I ever seen. There is rooms and small villas. 2 pools, a bar and one restaurant. Was happy to receive a bottle of wine in the room at the time of the Apéro.

What a charming amazing hotel. Full of history and culture. My favorite nights here are on Tuesday nights when the bars packed with amazing patrons. There's the piano and live singing. It's truly an amazing experience. Highly recommend the Villa suites.

One of the best hangout spots and hotels in Hollywood. The restaurant has great food and a wide selection of drinks! Staff is very friendly and service is fast. I've never had any issues here, and I was dwelling here for several months back in 2014! Unforgettable spot.

My wife and I spent five nights at Sunset Marquis and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel room was large, with a really comfy bed and amazing walk in shower. Our room also had a large adjoining balcony, which was useful for afternoon drinks, overlooking the pool, and the occasional afternoon siesta. We stayed from Monday to Saturday, so the atmosphere at the pool was pretty quiet during the week days and nights, however I assume, based on the Friday night and Saturday morning, that the atmosphere is a lot better on the weekend — perhaps making one's stay even more fun. There was a slight problem upon check-out, where the valet charged us for three nights, rather than the actual one. (I wonder if this was intentional, to see if we wouldn't notice). However, this was rectified immediately. The front counter staff were terrific. Our flight out of LA was not til midnight, and checkout was at midday. They took our bags and kept them securely, allowing us to explore the city for the next several hours, and come back and chill by the pool until it was time to go to the airport. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to couples of families looking to have a fun and relaxing time in West Hollywood. The hotel is beautiful, and the room is comfortable. It is a bit on the pricey side, but hey — it's Hollywood!

This is my home away from home in LA. It's an oasis in the middle of the cement and steel that feels more like a island retreat than an urban hotel. The staff and management are second to none. I don't think I've ever posted a review when Facebook has prompted me, but this place is worth it.

I visited the sunset Marquis for a wedding and it was beautiful. All of the food and drinks were delicious and the setting for the wedding looked fantastic. Also Billy Bob Thornton was there.

Dinner at the Sunset Marquis was wonderful. As a group of 6 people, we all shared appetizers and enjoyed every one of them. All plates were empty by the end of the night, and the service was second to none. The restaurant is quaint, quiet, and beautiful with an abundance of tropical vegetation.

A hidden gem, the restaurant in the Sunset Marquis was fabulous. It's situated in the middle of a beautiful garden courtyard. Food was excellent. I may be a bit biased though, since my boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me here!

We went for Valentine's day dinner and loved the ambiance of the hotel. Very beautiful place. The restaurant was also amazing, food was delicious, the host was very nice. Will definitely go back and will recommend to anyone wanting to go.

Another one of my favorites. I don't drink but this is a GREAT spot to hang out for a birthday or just a more relaxing/ social outing with some friends.

Just back from a three-night stay at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood — — and we think we have a new favorite hotel in LA! Loved the design, ambiance, bed, shower, deck, etc. — — and especially the people, who were all unfailingly competent and nice. We'll be back!

Absolutely The Best! Amazing staff and fantastic experience! The rooms, pools, bar, restaurant, and the entire grounds are awesome! ZERO complaints, and nothing but compliments and a fully enjoyable experience!

I absolutely loved my stay at the acme hotel. Free coffee delivery in the morning! The bed was so comfortable. Te bathroom has lips that glow when the light is off! :) my overall stay was great! I was barely at the hotel because I was out doing the tourists stuff but the decor and vibe were right on point. I absolutely love that they're doing there part to be more green :) it's located in a good area, close to everything. I would definitely come back.

I travel frequently and only stay at 4 star or better hotels. I must say we had the most trouble experience staying here. This place and their staff to their guest all seem extremely weird. So if you are not a rock and roll or a movie start reject or a hippie DO NOT stay here. Waste of money. Ironically when we arrived, I asked the bell guy what does he think about Sunset Marquis. His response. "not sure what to tell you, I guess you have to experience it yourself" I should've known then not to check in.

What a great experience! A truly modern hotel without all the stuffiness. Laid back, spread out, private, and to the nines. This was our first stay but it won't be our last.

This property and the staff are second to none! We were treated as VIPs in every experience we had at Sunset Marquis. From arrival, dining room, room service and check out every member of the team was professional, respectful and kind. The property truly is an oasis in the midst of West Hollywood! Equally impressive was our Villa! I would highly recommend Sunset Marquis to anyone staying in LA and I would recommend it as a destination trip if you don't have plans to visit LA anytime soon.
