It's a motel. Don't expect anything fancy. Rooms are a little sketchy but do able for a night. Felt dirty. Would not recommend.

Surprisingly fresh and updated. Newly updated, best bed ever in a motel room.

I have stayed here in the past and this visit it appears that they have upgraded at least the beds. The rooms look the same, but at least the beds are softer than before. The one member of the staff I dealt with this time was courteous and friendly… (even when I went to the office at midnight to get quarters because the vending machine wasn't taking dollar bills)

Worst motel I have ever stayed at. Management was rude. Room was awful. No shades on the lights, office smelled terrible, the refrigerator was frozen up and the door didn't close, very little hot water, TV didn't work, Wi-Fi didn't work, beds were uncomfortable, asked for extra blanket and none were available. Would have been better off sleeping in my car!

Very clean. Nice people at the desk. I got there very late both time I was there and the opened both time.

It's good for a couple of nights, I wouldn't stay any longer.

Went in to ask a question and the guy behind the counter acted like he could care less if I dropped dead in front of him.

Back in 2012 I was working as campesino and stayed here for about 3 weeks… always had clean room and great little town of Dorris with plenty of nature, they made my time there way easier and to relax as well.

Golden motel is located at Dorris, California. The rooms are very neat and spacious and all the basic facilities in there including small refrigerator, oven. Service also good.

The owners are rude. You can leave your room clean and be told it was a mess next time you go in. Rooms are okay. Basic but clean.

I always stay at the golden eagle during the winter wings fest. Clean, price is right, and I love Andy's laugh. What a sweetie. Hello birders, check it out.

Clean basic rooms. Staff alright but they don't go the extra mile.

My husband and I along with our three small children got a flat tire on hwy97, our spare went flat shortly after changing it. CHP was amazing and gave us a ride to the nearest hotel who said they had vacancy. The police officer dropped myself and my two sons (6&7 years old) at the hotel at 10pm, night before Easter and went back to pick up my husband and 3 year old daughter. The lady at the front counter told me "no rooms". As I stood outside in an unfamiliar town under a street lamp trying to call my husband and in tears, the owner came out and told me to get off his property (the only well-lit area within walking distance). After the police officer returned with my husband and daughter he gave us another ride into Klamath Falls where we were able to get a room. My husband then called the hotel that same night and the woman answered and said that they had rooms available. I have never in my life been treated like that before and I can not believe my son's had to have that same feeling!

The room was reasonably clean, we found cookie\cracker crumbs on the bed sheet but everything else was fine. The price is fair if you're looking for a place to stay near Lava Beds national monument. My only disappointment was the lack of options for food in Dorris, since a couple of places seemed to be closed down during our stay.

Not bad but my bathroom was not clean. There was someone else's half used bar of soap in the shower and stains on the comforter.

If you're looking for a good stop before crossing into Oregon definitely best spot with all you need plus some good food is only walking distance away.

Cheap digs, sorta bates motel. But the folks here are real nice. Hey it's cheap if you wanna pay more drive into k falls.
