Review of Great Wolf Lodge Southern California 3*

I’ve been wanting to go here since it opened and finally did. We got a room with the little den for the kids and they had a blast! They loved the water park, they did magic quest, the build a bear type thing, played in the arcade, got candy from the candy shop, danced at the bubble party, and did crafts too. They wanted to live here forever. The other guests here were friendly. The staff was attentive and thoughtful and dealt with our little hick ups beautifully. I really really loved being there for four days for so many reasons. However, the negatives were really negative. The beds are terrible, like cardboard. The towels were really Small and smelled like chemicals. We ordered the birthday package and it was on the wrong day, the cake was smashed, and two of the balloons were deflated when we entered our room. The rooms were not cleaned conveniently. I went to the housekeeping cart and got the things I needed and used the vacuum the second day we were there. Everyone woke up with a scratchy voice and a cough after the first night and it escalated from there. The last afternoon there I started to get sick. My eyes burned and my body ached. My voice was all but gone and I couldn’t stop couching. Four out of the six people in my family have been to the ER so far because we’re so sick. Everything coming out both ends, can’t breath, can’t stop coughing, eyes watering and burning so you can’t see. This is the worst sickness I’ve had in years. We’ve been home three days and we are all still so sick! After reading all the reviews about people getting sick, I think I would have skipped it. Being this sick was not worth it!
