I adored my stay's here. They were absolutely magical! The staff was simply Angelic. The experiences stayed with me and kept a special place in my heart. I remember making really sweet friends during my stay. The music, the atmosphere, the staff, the Beach, the clothing store, and the Air! Stunning! Truly Stunning. I was amazed that they have homes here too! It's just a beautiful, lovely, magical place, and all my neighbors became fast friends. No wonder it's so popular with many in the limelight. You just sort of… Hide away in paradise here. Simply put, it's Heaven.

Never been, but will return without a doubt. Spectacular resort and gorgeous grounds. The staff we encountered were all extremely friendly, helpful and kind. Our lunch at the Mosaic was very delicious (turkey hamburger and Caesar salad). Took a while to receive, but we thoroughly enjoyed our view of the breathtaking Pacific while we waited. My Lemon Drop Martini was scrumptious which was made by Mathew at The Loft. An amazing way to start the celebration of our 35th anniversary.

The location is perfect. On a bluff overlooking the Pacific with expansive views. The room was perfect. I stayed in a Bungalow Suite with a very comfortable king bed. The bathroom is large and includes a luxurious tub and separate shower. One feature that should not be over looked are the separate his and hers walk-in closets. I was on the ground floor so I could actually exit out my room onto the nicely appointed patio and I had quick access to the pool and the beach. The staff is super attentive. My only complaint was that housekeeping would take the dirty glasses and they would never get replaced. I found myself cleaning the glasses regularly and putting them away so they wouldn’t get taken. One more note. This hotel is pricy and even though the Montage offers great amenities, well appointed rooms and a friendly staff, you can find 80% as good for 50% of the price.

Now this was an amazing surprise! We were strolling along the beach and came upon an employee of the hotel. We asked him about the food and he recommended their restaurant. We ordered an appetizer and a main course but kept getting three additional courses plus dessert — all vegetarian. (We did not tell the staff that we are vegetarians) We kept asking why and were only met with a smile. At the end, the employee we met on our stroll came to our table and asked how the food was. We told him that we absolutely loved it but that we got four additional courses. He smiled and said it was all on the house and that he told the chef that he needed to spoil us. The employee we met was the maintenance manager and he was the only one who knew our food preferences as we told him. We since recommended this hotel to all our friends. This is a place were love meets service and outstanding food.

Fantastic yoga studio and classes and the pool is wonderful, even by California standards. The spa is professionally staffed and customized for an exclusive clientele. The food was pretty good but the selections weren't as appealing as some of the other places we are accustomed to. Altogether, the staff, accommodations, poolside service, and unique eateries was an amazing experience. Excellent venue for fun, romance, and relaxation. This place was immaculate and perfectly maintaned, too.

The staff was very attentive a family wedding. It was wonderful to have such venue for an outdoor event. There were no problems setting up the AV or the tents. Things went off without a hitch.

Absolutely amazing! One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Everyone was so kind and helpful and I had no bad experiences. The room was always spotless and the pool especially was immaculate and beautiful. The service for the cars and the food and the rooms was also very very nice. I would stay again in a heartbeat, and the setting on the beach was perfect.

This place is very nice, fantastic.

It was very disappointing. There were several issues over the weekend. First of all our room service breakfast never arrived. The restaurant they sent us too didn't know we were coming. When we finally got back to the room after being out all day the room was never cleaned. This was 4pm and it still wasn't made up. After Brett called the front desk to complain about the poor service they told us to come back the room would be ready. By this time we were exhausted. Brett spoke to the in-room dining Manager. He wanted to apologize for the mix up in the morning and said he would be sending us a credit for breakfast and a late night treat. To say the least neither were done. No credit on the bill and no apology treat arrived. The location and the hotel are beautiful but the service in Beverly Hills is so much better. On Sunday they weren't prepared for the rush of people they got at any of their restaurants or at the valet. Even though we called down to have the car waiting it still took over 45 minutes to get our car. Overall a very disappointing stay and for the price we paid for the rooms we expected more. It's the same service we would have gotten at a Ramada or Holiday Inn. Very disappointing.

Very beautiful coastline. We enjoyed the walk slowly for about 45-60 mins. Very well maintained plants and flowers. Unfortunately most of my pictures were my mom that I can't pose. There were some painters painting. It is one of the places I love the scene.

When we drove from Las Vegas to Laguna beach and arrived at this beautiful resort. We quickly checked in and walked out to the bench that over looks the ocean from the end of the resort. When we got there it was sunset and it was one of the most beautiful views I’d ever seen. One we got there she knew exactly what was happening. There were no surprises left when I reached for the ring in my chest pocket and proposed. She saw it coming a mile away with the sights and my lack of being slick. It all worked out well though as she said YES and then we went and got ready for a amazing dinner at the Loft. Our room was beautiful and everything was perfect. We also got to enjoy the piano bar and a couple cocktails before dinner. If your looking for a special weekend or romantic get away then this is the place for you. Excellent customer service, great rooms and amazing restaurants.

A top notch resort with endless extras. This is a must for who is looking for a luxurious getaway. Absolutely one of the best spots in Laguna Beach… A memorable experience and great restaurants! It is above average in terms of pricing as one would expect…

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… The Montage is like all the others, very amazing service, rooms, food, etc. There is always piano playing in the lobby, the staff is better than than any other hotel by far, and the views of the ocean are unbeatable. Waking up in the morning to the ocean is the best. Although a lot of people come it doesn't feel crowded. There is great closet space, an amazing tub and well kept the days you stay. There are stairs down to the beach area with a space to clean your feet off. There is also a store across the street from the Montage if you are interested in grabbing some food and having a picnic in the sand. Whether you have dinner in the restaurant or in your room with an unbeatable view the food is amazing. There is a great walking path right off the hotel as well that follows the coast. Along the way there are places to sit and enjoy the view. The pool is also a great place to relax. It is very big and never feels crowded. Great service if you are wanting drinks by the pool as well. Needless to say if you are looking to get away, relax and go to paradise this is with out a doubt the place for you.

Counting the seconds until my escape to here. Love this place to get together with family around the pool and relax in a cabana or let the kids go in and watch tv. Staff very attentive, love this place. A Senior would allow me to visit more ofter (hint, hint, HINT! )

This was my third stay here. My wife and I absolutely love this place. This stay was a little different because we spent a few days at the Ritz Carlton before staying at the Montage. Both resorts are absolutely wonderful. I would suggest either one to anyone.

This property is amazing. The views, whether during the day or in the evening, are absolutely breathtaking. To top it all off, the staff members are super friendly a very professional. This is an experience that is designed to linger in your memory and it absolutely does.

Not up to Par. I've been to the Montage multiple times and up to this most recent Feb 2018 trip, had really enjoyed it. This time we checked out 2 days early. The main lobby lounge bar with the Pacific views and Piano, and the Grand Staircase were both closed and blocked off (see photos). I am an early riser and need to get out of the room so as not to disturb the rest of my family, but there was really no place to go to sit and drink my morning coffee and read the paper. And speaking of coffee… The Montage has removed the complimentary coffee that was provided for years at the Loft bar each morning at 6am. The host offered to help me 'purchase' coffee and noted that there was free coffee in the room. The room coffee has a very noisy 2 oz espresso machine that wakes everyone in your room (and probably the 2 adjacent rooms also). Seriously, for over $800 per night, you take away the complimentary coffee? It was virtually impossible to get to the Loft bar and restaurant. From the south wing, you had to go up through the main lobby, down an elevator and enter the Loft through the rear service door and then walk through the middle of the dining room. Renovations are fine, but the planning of the project was extremely poor. The main lobby could have easily been done in 2 stages, first the left side, then the right side with a temporary bar placed on the other half and would have resulted in minimal guest impact.

Had a wonderful Saturday morning brunch at the loft. The service was great, and the menu had unique cocktails and a variety of good dishes. My poached eggs were perfection. Loved the view of the ocean as well. Will be coming back.

I've interacted with the staff many times and their stellar reputation is well deserved. This property overlooks one of the most beautiful ocean treasures I've ever experienced. If you have the opportunity to stay at the Montage, you're a very lucky person, but if not, don't let that stop you from enjoying the beach, tidal pools, and breathtaking views. I recommend stopping over at the grocery store, getting some fruit, cheese, and maybe a nice coffee first. Then, walk over and sit on the rocks while eating like royalty as the sun drops. Can't beat it! Enjoy :)

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Loft in the Montage Hotel. Service was great and the food and drinks matched the service. My only issue was they only allowed us to open four bottles of wine that I brought from my cellar (a long standing policy), but four bottles was clearly not enough for our party of 14. Go, relax, and enjoy.

Excellent service. Beautiful atmosphere. Love the live music here. Piano and guitar and the singing was just lovely. My Favorite spot to be to relax and renew my spirit.

The Montage is pure opulence. The staff goes it off their way to ensure you have a great stay and experience. However, while the resort is magnificent, the house keeping can afford to be more attentive: we had dirt and hair on fixtures in the bathroom and the Nespresso didn't work, but you just can't best the view.

Good food and service. Only had one suggestion; the restaurant staff should ask patrons if they need their parking stub validated. It is $15 for parking; however if u get validation then no payment necessary.

A very nice and calm place. Staff is always around, polite and helpful. First restaurant I went that gives you a blanket because it is a little bit chilly outside. Nice place and good food.

So close to the beach. Resort with a wonderful ocean view! Service is great, too. There’s also beach access from there. Valet is 50 dollars, so you’re just visiting there for a couple of hours, you might want to park elsewhere (street parking or public parking in the facility). I like the restaurant on the patio where I took these pictures, but there are soooooo many bees! Everything else is great :)

The location is impeccable with a beautiful view over the beach. You will be happy. The service and staff is a nice bunch who really show care for their customers. Well worth the price tag.

I came to visit treasure island. Beach was really nice and weather was amazing. They have cabanas you can lay for which would be really nice. Definitely coming back.

Place to stay and it comes with the price tag to support it, but well worth it. Situated right on Treasure Beach, this is a haven for photographers, wedding parties, and those in search of taking a picture in the incredible cove. 3 hour parking is available to explore the beach even if you aren't staying at the hotel… but if you are looking for that unforgettable romantic getaway… look no further than the Montage.

Beautiful place and very nice beaches for surfing and family break.

Relaxing place to visit. Staff at Montage treat guests with the best customer service. The treat disabled customers very well. Offering special help when able including borrowing a wheelchair and giving a ride in golf cart from upper to lower levels. They also provide free valet parking for disabled placard guests. Overall they treat you right! A bit pricey for the food, but the service is great!

The location was great. Near the beach with great excess to shipping and the food market. Tons of art gallery's and shops to wonder. Service was good but could be a little better. Some gal I guess was having a bad day. Surf shops to get all the fun gear and clothes to fit right in. Walking around people had smiles in faces and great moods. Fun in the sun.

The beach is nice, may not be the best for surfing or even swimming and other leisure activities. The park in front of the hotel is well kept. The sceneries are definitely worth taking a picture for. Nice place to be with families and friends!

I like to go visit this resort just to walk around and go to the beach. It is beautifully maintained and in a wonderful location. The coast here is among the most beautiful on the city. It would be nice if there was parking available for quick stops to see the beach, but it is a resort intended to cater to the needs of its customers, so it makes sense.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful the staff is the best trained, and will do everything in their power to make your stay better. The location is great very close to all manner of activities with the hotel being beautiful both inside and out. The rooms are well equipped. The pool and spa are both amazing.

We roomed at the Montage for a corporate event. My wife and I were greeted with amazing service right from the start and it continued to the very end. The food has been amazing, the bar tenders well versed, and staff extremely responsive. Our room was immaculately clean, and turndown service was precessional. The Montage is worth is premium pricetag.

You will never find a more accommodating staff. Literally perfection. I've spent about 2 months at the Montage Laguna Beach and I wouldn't choose to be anywhere else. If you are thinking about hosting a business event or other you have come to the RIGHT place! Laura Himmelson (event planning) is spectacular! I can't even begin to explain how wonderful and easy the staff made it to host at this resort. Regarding the rooms, you couldn't ask for better views. Every room looks out to the ocean! Be sure to watch for whales and dolphins from your window… they come by often. You'll never want to leave once you see how amazingly beautiful the landscape are scenery are. I have spent enough time at this hotel to learn it inside and out, and I don't think I have one negative thing to say after 2 months. That's outside the norm for me! :)

Absolutely breathtaking views of beautiful Laguna Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The service is top notch, you feel like you are their only guest! Their landscaping and pool area are simply amazing. What a spectacular location!

The rooms and hotel are elegant and beautiful. The staff is courteous and helpful. The food is excellent. The spa was amazing.

Lounge service was perfect. The room and grounds were clean and well-tended. And the setting is breezy and lovely.

Great service but not worth the cost, especially with all the nickel and dime additions. Good location overlooking the beach, with two pools. Don't try to go to the beach though — it's not supported by the hotel and is access is closed off by ugly, messy caution tape. Our room was fine but the walls are paper thin and you watch TV with your neighbors. Food and drinks expensive but as expected. Ridiculous $120 fee to use the hot tub next to the fitness room, and other pithy little charges (parking, Wi-Fi) that make you feel like a cash register, not a welcomed guest, after paying a LOT for your room. There are other luxury properties in the area that are more respectful (ie Dana Point).

Beautiful setting, great service, and good food and drink, but the prices were quite steep. 6 people in our group and we got 5 alcoholic drinks, one non-alcoholic drink, an order of calamari, and and order of chips with salsa and guacamole and our bill was $149 before we even tipped.

Montage laguna beach is a fantastic place for leasure. I loved everything: staff, in room dining, gardens and views. Wish I could stay longer (i stayed at room #142).

My partner and I were extremely dissatisfied with our experience at Loft at Montage Laguna Beach. The treatment was inexcusable. This was our third negative experience at this location. The first two times we thought it was odd, but a third time we believe clearly is reflective of a trend. We were informed by staff that our committed table was being given to their "VIPs", that we had to wait for a different table although we had a reservation all by staff with a condescending, dismissive and belittling tone. In addition, the staff refused to address the black person in our party who made the reservation and instead only addressed the white member of the party. At this point it was becoming clear that this experience, similar in tone and nature of two prior situations was wreaking of bias. Either it was because the staff at Loft Montage believe that two gentlemen are unworthy of appropriate treatment or minorities are unworthy of appropriate treatment, our only conclusion is that " VIP" at Loft restaurant Montage Laguna Beach is a code for "straight" and "non-minority".

Dinner at the Loft was great. Wonderful food, and always exceptional service.

Went to the Montage for a Christmas eve lunch at the Mosiac and it was fantastic! We also explored the many wonderful holiday decorations including a large gingerbread city and mistletoe hung above the lobby fireplace.

A lovely resort in South Laguna, facing the Pacific Ocean. Wonderful staff, great service, and good dining. $$$$$.

An all service luxury hotel. Every need is carefully attended to by a contiencious staff. Great views, great rooms. Amazing location on a stunning stretch of beach. Local car service provided. Couldn't ask for much more out of a hotel.

Pelican Resort, Ritz Carlton … spend your time and money at both of these wonderful resorts. Pelican's butler service is unmatched. The Ritz goes out of their way to treat your children with kindness. Their staff is courteous, kind and very well mannered. The staff at The Montage resort spends more time being discourteous than respectful. Of all the resorts in the world I have stayed at, booked corporate events at, executive events at and had the pleasure of experiencing this is far and away one I will soon hope to forget. I could elaborate on each and every point given I am writing is enough. I believe kindness should be part of the Montage's values and it is clearly not.

What a great relaxing experience. Some rooms maybe need some renovations, but everything else in hotel looks 5 stars. Stuff is very friendly and whole atmosphere is very relaxing. We are thinking to come back.

It's tough to beat this hotel. The rooms are top notch (and there is a massive variety in rooms, everything from singles inside the hotel itself, to private suites and bungalows on the fields). The pool is incredible, service impeccable, and the lounge and restaurants stellar. Be sure to head to the lounge at some point during your stay to listen to the lovely piano playing and soak in the gorgeous view of the Pacific. Top notch. Pro tip — if you're visiting and not staying at the hotel (which I recommend you do if you happen to be in the area and aren't staying over night! ), parking can be tough. Instead of paying to valet, or trying to park in the tiny lot just south of the hotel, cross the street and park on the streets heading West. Much easier and worth the 2 minute walk (with views. ).

High-End upscale hotel/resort/spa. Montage is a VERY nice place. Everything about it is outstanding. Accommodations and staff are excellent. However, pricing is way out of balance. Everything is over priced. But if you are willing to spend that kind of cash on a hotel room, you probably don't mind $16 cocktails and $25 for a burger. Overall; Excellent, if the $$$$ doesn't bother you.

Really enjoy the beach experience here. Beach is kept very clean and is much more private than the surrounding beaches. Beautiful here.

This place is like heaven on earth! The location, the hotel, the pool, the spa, the restaurant, the service. Its UNREAL! If you feel like treating yourself, and getting away from the everyday stresses of life, you definitely need to come here.

This Ocean front facility is so much more than a santuary. The Staff is always there waiting to meet your needs and desire but in the shdows. This was one of the finest holidays at a superb hotel community that we have had in the last five years. The food was created and served with love. Make your next stay at the Montage in Laguan Beach. A true sanctuary, this hotel defines best in class customer service. They will great you at the door and somehow already know who you are and be ready to take you to your room. The property is beautiful as well. A true VIP, elegant experience.

This resort was nothing short of stunningly amazing. Of course the great view off of the Pacific from lobby viewing balcony was beautiful enough, what really made me fall in love with the place was the staff. Every accommodation and request was fulfilled and exceeded my expectations. Every staff member was gracious, and I could tell I was the priority. The pool was amazing, and the wedding I attended was beautiful, and was taken care of spectacularly. The food was delicious, and the menu was full of variety. Everything was simply perfect. My stay was so amazing, I think I could live there. I definitely look forward to going back to the Montage, hopefully very soon.

Absolutely incredible. The service was phenomenal. We have stayed at some of the best resorts in the world and this place is on par or better than all of them. The views from the rooms are spectacular in the North wing and still solid in the South wing. You cannot go wrong with any of the dining options. Highly recommend this as an exceptional luxury retreat.
