What a great staycation! I can’t recommend this place enough! Views for days, excellent staff and just a perfect way to relax!

First class accommodations at the Hacienda. We stayed in room 67 that was close to the pool, restaurants/bar and hotel lobby. Beautiful grounds and a classy atmosphere made this resort a great place to stay when your looking for a special getaway in the Tucson foothills.

Beautiful setting. Views are amazing. They go the extra mile on decor, comfort, amenity options. Restaurants are high end, but you can bring stuff to store in the fridge, although we did indulge in dinner one night. Very friendly staff.

I absolutely loved my stay here, it was a just an incredible, magical experience. The staff, the location, the history of this small, intimate resort have left lasting memories with me that I reach for and reminisce over during the winter from far away… always longing to return.

We really enjoyed our weekend away at Hacienda del Sol. Our nicely appointed suite was convenient to the restaurants and pools. The grounds were lovely. The restaurant offerings were varied and delicious, with excellent service. The staff was thoughtful and we really appreciated that we could text them when we needed anything. This unique resort was just what we were looking for to relax and recharge.

This was our second time staying here and everything was as great as the first time.
The hotel is beautiful. The landscaping and art throughout is amazing.
The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating.

Just a wonderful place, great food, great people, phenomenal atmosphere and some of the best views in Tucson.

What a Beautiful and peaceful place. We saw wildlife, watched the sunset and looked at the stars from our balcony while eating dinner, dessert and then later, a snack. Room service was great and easy to order by text from my phone. The room is spacious, quiet, clean and comfy. We needed a break and this was the perfect place for it.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the Hacienda Del Sol and want to say that everything there was wonderful! The resort and the grounds were beautiful, the restaurants and bars were delicious and fun and our historic Campbell room was spotless and interesting, but the thing that made our stay the most memorable was the people there. Thank you Nick and Justin in the dining room, Julianna at the front desk, Bruce the Chef, Melanie the gardener, and our awesome housekeepers, we saw you on a daily basis, and you made our stay extra special, and thank you too to everyone else who has a hand in making Hacienda Del Sol our new favorite resort in Tucson. I love Hacienda Del Sol! I have never stayed overnight, but have attended many functions and eaten brunch and dinner here. This time I was here for a work social, and as usual was not disappointed. Their food and service are always excellent. Their establishment is clean and rustic, and they can cater to any type of event. Highly recommend!

The accommodations for our business event were great! The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly! Great location!

I love coming here and have been doing so since 2005. Beautiful grounds, excellent service and the restaurant has a beautiful view of the surrounding area and the food is always wonderfully prepared and served. A wonderful experience.

This is a superb restaurant. The menu is varied with enough choices, but not overwhelming like some eateries. There is something for everyone. The service personnel are highly trained, competent, and gracious. Each meal we have eaten here has been a delight, not only to the taste buds, but also to the eye. Each plate of food is a work of art. The scenery as seen through the walls of windows is beautiful.

Very lovely place, but the price was pretty steep for the quality of food. The foot was good but not THAT good. We did the Sunday buffet and I also didn't eat enough quantity to make up for the price.

I had the dinner for 2 for $49 and had an amazing voew of the sunset and mountains. Our waitor made sure to keep on top of things and come back often. We had no complaints and we're both extremely satisfied with the night.

The grill is asleep when it comes to vegan options. They had a salad and fries and that was pretty much it. The fries came out hard and not very hot. The service was good.

Elegant, relaxed, old world, western charm. A true gem. There is a wide range of room types/prices and the resort is adjacent to the La Paloma resort & golf course. Breakfast overlooking the golf course is a great way to start the day. Great dining in the evening along with a casual bar & restaurant. This is a former girls boarding school and I think the oldest (most budget friendly) rooms are an excellent value. A great experience @ a great price. The newest “splurge” rooms are enormous and you’ll feel pampered just hanging out in your room and on your patio/balcony. I’ve stayed at this property about 6 times and I’ve always felt rejuvenated & relaxed when our stay came to an end. Highly recommended.

Very nice historic location with beautiful views of the city below. Excellent restaurant. Used to being abandoned girls school when I was in high school. A great spot for keg parties on weekends in high school when growing up in the 60s.

Thank you to an amazing staff who made our stay so enjoyable. As a result we will remember the kindness & hospitality from Patrick who greeted us when we first arrived and throughout our stay, Laura who was so friendly and cheerful when cleaning our room, the employee whose name I didn’t catch that took out the time on her way into work to greet our pup and warn me about the snakes, and the young man at the front desk who was very helpful. Also the staff in the restaurant who answered all our questions about gluten free options. Thank you so much!

I cannot begin to thank the staff at Hacienda Del Sol enough for their efforts in making our honeymoon special and memorable. We had no clue where we wanted to honeymoon and after googling all types of resorts and destinations… we settled on Hacienda Del Sol, not really knowing anything about it… a shot in the dark if you will! All I can say is WOW, what a treasure this place is! The grounds themselves are absolutely beautiful and meticulously maintained! But the charm is not merely represented by the views or the grounds… it lies in the incredible staff! Before we even arrived in AZ from Atlanta, Patrick had gone out of his way to help us plan memorable activities to do… and believe me, this guy knows his stuff. Upon arrival, he was the first person we met and he already knew who we were! While checking in, we met Simon at the front desk who made our process seamless. He was smiling the entire time as if he knew that our time here would be incredible. We also met some other very cool characters during our stay! From Mr. Bones who always ask how our activities were going to Mr. Bing, old school Hollywood himself, who made us feel like part of the family at all times. Also, a big thanks to Ida, who not only gives a great massage, but also gives great tips on good sushi and good beer joints in Tuscon! I know I've left some people and names off of this review but trust me; the entire staff at Hacienda Del Sol is the best of Tuscon… and America for that matter.

My partner and I are vegans. The chef at the restaurant could not have been more accommodating and made two dinners off the menu that were out of this world. Two of the best vegan dinners I've ever had anywhere. And he actually acted happy to do it. They also have good entertainment. So is it great environment and a good restaurant and a very willing head chef. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We actually ended up staying two days due to loving it so much. It's covered in beautiful gardens, very nice staff, and great amenities. If we are ever in the area again we will be staying here!

Beautiful property. Had dinner and drinks for our anniversary. They brought our desert with "happy anniversary" written in chocolate, nice touch. I was put off by the server explaining to the table next to us that her $60 steak was supposed to be chewy. Service wasn't anything special for the price tag. Our server didn't appear to be especially knowledgeable. There was a musician going from table to table offering to play songs for tips. The music was nice, but I feel Ambiance/music should be provided by the establishment, rather than feeling the need to tip for such accommodations.

Fantastic staff. Our friend mentioned she was vegan trying to get some suggestions for what to eat during the brunch. The server spoke with the chefs in back and within 5 minutes a chef brought her a full vegan 3 course meal they had made from scratch.

The service here is incredible. Everyone is polite and engaging. The water pressure wasn’t great but would not prevent me from coming back. I was here for business and I am already planning a trip back for pleasure! Thank you!

We toured the resort as a possible wedding venue. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit. The grounds were beautiful and the reception hall had incredible views.

The pool area and private room for dinner were beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing. The iced tea was this wonderful floral black and probably my favorite part of my experience. The service was impeccable and I highly commend the staff for their efforts to make our time there feel welcoming and professional.

Excellent facility for vacation / work/ conference. Beautiful and scenic surroundings. With modern rooms. Friendly staff and great food. Away from the usual rush. Uber services available. But I recommend your own car while at the facility and to drive around in the town. You might be able to see some wildlife around the walking trails and a bit of caution is urged on the part of hikers.

Went to a work event there that was so amazing. The food was so delicious. The atmosphere there is so great. I would highly recommend this place for a banquet or social event.

Attended for a work holiday party. Bartender was fabulous. The rest of the service was fine, but it has been better in the past. Food was really good this year, save the veggies — drastically undercooked and over garliced.

17 years in Tucson and I can't believe I've never been here. What a gem in the desert. Can't wait to go back again not only for dinner but for a weekend staycay! Wine and appetizer recommendations were spot on! I had the best steak I think I've ever eaten, cooked to perfection. The ambiance was down home yet, sophisticated. Definitely not the cheapest place, but it was worth every penny! I have a new favorite!

Had such a great time. Came here on business and to visit family. Every staff member I came across was very nice. I could talk to them like we were old friends. The food was top notch and the libations were equally impressive. The pool was heated and open late. There are signs all over that show you what wildlife you may encounter, (and you will). From roadrunners and hawks zooming around the walkways to families of javelina quietly strolling by my patio. Reminds me of everything I love about my beautiful home state of Arizona.

Went to a dinner show there. Food and entertainment were good. Dessert was too heavy for the meal. Water refills could have been done more timely.

I visited for an event and there was adequate parking and the area was clearly marked where my event would be. The food was just a basic breakfast and it was tasty and light. I was only there for like an hour or so. But I'd definitely return!

My wonderful spouse and I enjoyed the beautiful Tucson sunset while sipping our favorite wine. The Sweet & Spicy Calamari was absolutely wonderful, with just the right amount of seasoning not to spoil the calamari flavors. The Butter Braised Scallop dish was cooked to perfection and you'll love the shrimp tacos. You can bet we'll be back soon. Great work team!

Fantastic service, amazing ambiance. At any other restaurant the food would have been great, but compared to the rest of the experience, the taste lagged a little behind. Still very much enjoyed it though!

I can't say enough good things. Absolutely gorgeous, huge property, beautiful plant life and art everywere, two pools and luxurious rooms. I also enjoyed the historical preservation and education in the origional buildings. Even locals come to the grill and Friday they roasted a pig, which was really cool to see. The gift shop was unique, every piece carefully chosen. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate and is very friendly. I love it here!

The Hacienda Del Sol in north Tucson is an historic land mark with arguably one of the best restaurants in in all of the old pueblo. The historic rooms date back to the 40s and have been graced with the likes of John Wayne, Spencer Tracy, Kathryn Hepburn and many other icons of Holliwood. The service at this resort is second to none and they've even built some new rooms that are faithfully to the period. If you want to stay at an authentic pie e of history, this will provide what is the essence of what the Old Pueblo was truly like. Highly recommended!

We came here for a large party. I haven't been since they remodeled. The food was very good and the party room was amazing. They did an awesome job! I was very impressed. What put them over the top was how cordial the catering team was, and you won't believe this, their executive chef, Bruce Yim, went in the kitchen and made a special hot chocolate for my daughter's sore throat. I will not forget about this special hidden Tucson gem. Thank you for the great experience!

Hacienda Del Sol is amazing. It is the single most charming resort my husband and I have ever been too! The grounds are spectacular and the service equals it. We have visited before the renovations and after they did an amazing job on the expansion and the new and old rooms are all charming and well done / cozy/ clean / unique. The restaurant food is ok but we do love the music. We actually found a few off site restaurants we like better. Try "North" up the road! Employees we encountered were very friendly and polite only one complaint I have is the one hostess that checked us in one day for happy hour was very unfriendly, abrupt and seem annoyed with us? Which is odd since we came in happy just arriving and asked how the weather has been?

My husband and I attended dinner at the Grill for our 10th anniversary and they really went out of our way to make sure it was a dinner yo remember. The view of the sunset from our table was spectacular, the food was amazing and the little touches they added were very much appreciated (complimentary bubbly upon arrival, "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on our dessert, and truffles to take home). The service was top notch and I would definitely celebrate there again!

Just beautiful! A ton to do in the area but a relaxing tranquil property if you would prefer that instead. Stayed in the Catalina Suite — breathtaking mountain views in the morning. Room was so clean, bed comfy, tons of space (separate bedroom for us while our kids had the other room! ). Breakfast was phenomenal. My first visit to Arizona and thought the prices here were so reasonable — I wasn't too sure if it would be what I expected. Instead we were blown away and will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

From the moment we drove up to the time we left it was an incredible experience. Everyone was genuinely friendly and bent over backwards to see that everything was perfect. The staff from Patrick head of guest services, to Bing the restaurant manager were awesome. As was Ashley and Justin at breakfast.

We spent New Year's Eve & Day here after the Arizona Bowl football game and it was outstanding! Our master suite (#52) was spacious with modern amenities (including a 55" Flat screen) set in a rustic desert paradise! The staff is extremely gracious and kept the aromatic fire place in the "living room like" lobby going for us well past midnight! The food served at the Terraza Garden Patio & Lounge restaurant (the more casual of the two on site) was superb with live music to help us ring in the New Year! We are definitely planning to return!

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The bathroom in the room had recently been renovated. It was large but the showerhead was definitely not as powerful as it should have been considering the size of the shower. My husband and I had a very relaxing getaway.

Celebrated a birthday dinner in their restaurant, the service and decor were exceptional and the food was outstanding, our party was seated quickly and attended to throughout the evening, parking at the site was adequate and valet service was offered.

It is a hidden gem in Tucson, the view is just unbelievable. We had food at the Terraza and it is one of the best we had in Tucson. Recommend for everyone.

The food was amazing and so was the service! We went for our anniversary and the service and views were everything we had hoped for. There was live classical guitar in the restaurant too. Very happy we went.

The older rooms are a bit dated and have low water pressure in the shower. Everything else is nice.

Simply enchanting! My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Hacienda Del Sol. The food was exquisite and the staff was even better! They were very kind. We also recommend the horseback ride which was very entertaining up and down and through the canyon. Peaceful quiet ambience in a gorgeous setting! We have been dreaming about coming back since we left, we'll have to plan a trip soon.

The venue is beautiful. I attended a friends wedding there several months ago and the food was delicious! However, I attended a bridal fair there last Sunday and was treated atrociously by someone named Rachel (catering manager? ) who was on an apparent vendetta against everyone. I saw her scold several people and was also advised by some of the wedding vendors that she had also mistreated them. Lovely place, but would encourage anyone planning an event there to stay away from "Rachel".

My wife and I got married in a gorgeous, quaint ceremony on Valentine's Day. The event coordinator, Rachel Allen, was always available and addressed all our questions and concerns in a timely fashion. She worked very hard to make our day perfect and seamless. DJ Clint (Pittenger) did an amazing job officiating and DJing our special event. A special thanks, also, to the wait staff, who did an absolutely amazing job; we never wanted for a thing. In addition, food was incredible and the champagne strawberry cake (by Sweet Creations), might just be the best cake we've ever had. Also, Special Events Linens did an amazing job making our decor sleek and beautiful. The gorgeous photos, taken by Shaun Roby (Sunstreet Photo), captured the love and fun that we will remember for a lifetime. The ceremony and reception was absolutely perfect, and we give recognition to the team of players at Hacienda Del Sol that made it so! In addition, we stayed the night of our wedding at the guest ranch. The room was clean, rustic, and had a beautiful flair, with the comforts of home. Casie K.

It is hard to describe the beauty of this place. We had our daughter's wedding there last fall and they were perfect in every respect. The staff is personable, but not stiff or formal. The buildings are beautiful old Tucson artwork. The food is wonderful. Wish I could give it a 4.
