Don't EVER stay at the comfort in off highway 70 in Safford! Or any comfort inn! We checked in (as a family) and told the lady at the front desk my husband was going to work at 4am. Then when my son and I got up to the room after eating breakfast at 8am the key wouldn't open the room. So I went to the front desk and the lady REFUSED to let me in the room because it was in my husbands name. My phone was dead and I asked to us her phone and she said they didn't call out. I asked if I could talk to a manager and she said they were off for the weekend. So another guest stepped into help me, I used her phone and my husband toher to please let me in the room. She refused! My keys, purse, my sons diapers (he was soaking wet), his bottle and milk, all of our stuff were locked in the room. She said my husband had to go in physically with his ID. I asked if he could text it to the other guests phone and she refused. I asked if we could FaceTime and she refused. So me and my one year old are locked out with no money, no car keys, no diapers or bottles, and she would not help me. I asked if a police officer could in the very least escort me to get my stuff and she refused! She said because when we checked in my husband did not put my name on the room! We were not informed of this policy upon checking in and they have no signs up either informing guests of this policy! Which we've never had issue with ever before and we are frequent travelers! I had to call the police who arrived and kept apologizing to me and asking if he could help me get my stuff or go up alone to get it for me, they refused! So my husband had to leave work and go to the hotel and show his ID so we could get our stuff and leave. The police officer himself said it was ridiculous and he had never heard of that and he said himself he will never stay at a comfort inn! Worst experience ever! My poor child was wet and wanted his bottle and they said no! They had no logic, no compassion and no problem solving skills! NIGHTMARE! I will be calling a cooperate office! My husband lost time at work just to come and help me get in the room. Thatcher police were amazing! I'm sorry I had to waste their resources because these people lack logic and problem solving skills.
