Soldotna Inn is always our go to for business trips. Not only because they're the cheapest one in town, but because they value their customers. The front desk receptionist Amanda, is super nice and easy to communicate with. She goes above & beyond to help fill our needs. I highly recommend staying there.

Avoid rooms 103 & 105 unless you want to hear everything from the other room.

The room was thought out well, the carpet was plush, and there were tons of little things that made it feel like it was home.

At $130 for two rooms they were the best price rooms on the peninsula as far as I could see there were no frills but it was a pleasant stay the rooms were warm and cozy the television reception was good location was good in the middle of Soldotna so I feel like we really got our bang for a buck Steph was also very nice.

It was a 2.5 star hotel during our January 2018 stay. One hour of TLC would go a long way. Lots of paint scrapes, wall dings, and other cosmetic things just made the room look old and not very well cared for. Not that we cared (really, we didn't), but the carpet was green and the hanging light might have come from the 1970s. The bathroom door only opened a little ways before it got stuck on the floor. You could open it all the way with the use of your muscles, but it was not the quietest at 3am when you're trying to be quiet while pushing the door as it scraped the floor. Free internet was a decent speed, beds were comfy, floor was clean, showers hot. They had a cool USB charging station by one if the beds. Continental breakfast was basic with things like toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and juice. Would I stay again? Only if I got an amazing deal. It's not a bad hotel, just run down for the price we paid.

I wish the employee who works in the office was as professional as restaurant employees. I pulled up to see my son, who was staying there, and she came out to yell at a family friend who was going back into the room. When she saw that I knew she starting yelling at me. I won't going into detail here but all of this was in front of my 8 yr old grand daughter. Who flips out in front of children. I have lived on the peninsula for over 20 yrs and I have never had this experience with soldotna inn and I have had other family members stay there. Until that employee no longer works there that will not be happening. Very unprofessional!
