Been in Alaska for 2 weeks of a month long trip and this is the best place I've stayed so far. Will most definitely be staying here again but for vacation next time so I can stay longer.

Great place! Would be much nicer if they had refrigerators in the cabins for customers.

What can you say? It’s Alaska! Beautiful views, great campground and hotel just outside of Denali national park and right on the nenana river. Spectacular.

We stayed in the motel. The room was nice with the vaulted ceiling and beautiful view of the river. The bed was the hardest bed we had ever slept on. It was even uncomfortable to sit on! Extremely disappointed the Wi-Fi wasn't free. Would not recommend if you want a good night's sleep.

While I was there, I would have considered a higher score (still not fantastic). Beautiful grounds, the cabins next to the river are nice. But my husband accidentally left his raincoat on the bench outside the office and they charged a $20 finder's fee "to go search for it. " Except the next sentence they said is that it was already turned in by a guest and in their lost and found bin. I don't mind paying the shipping fee, but please don't say you did $20 worth of work to grab it from your lost and found. That's just tacky and poor customer service.

While extremely close to the Denali park, literally right outside of the border of the federal land and therefore always available even without advanced booking, beware of extreme proximity to the highway and rail tracks. You need very good ear-plugs, but the honking of the train is umnissable… Clean amenities yet overpriced shower (3x more expensive than in the park). A small shop stocking the most often needed items comes very handy though. Opens at 9am.

We stayed Cedar Hotel at this resort. It was new building, and it s well maintained and clean. Our room is faced south side, so people at the camping could see our room easily which is uncomfortable for us. There's no restaurant here (if you want, should go to Denali Village, or other place), and Mexican and Thai food shop which are not bad but so expensive. They offer transportation with charge ($12 + $2 for additional people). Convenient, but not so much satisfied.

This place was horrible. Although our cabin looked almost brand new, the drains were very slow. For the price, we hoped for a refrigerator in the room but none was available. No cell signal so we couldn't upload the day's pictures to our family. We paid $35 for Wi-Fi which barely worked and kept dropping. Plus it would only work for 1 device. We wanted to do laundry, but the store had no laundry soap. TV picture was fuzzy. Food was very overpriced or from a food truck. Good thing we spent most of our stay in a Denali tour. Definitely not worth the price. I've stayed in motels at half the cost and had more amenities.

Nice resort just south of Denali Park entrance. We had a party of 6 and this was the only cabin accommodations I found in my search that could hold more than 4 people. It was a little tight and not real luxurious but it did the trick. Lots of RV spots, camping spots and some hotel rooms as well.

I give only one star as the value for the price is not there. At $269 a night I would expect a room with a TV that works and isn’t 30 years old. Shower had a horrible shower head and water pressure, very old worn out beds. The really disappointing thing was our cabin, which I was so happy backed on to the river (which is beautiful) unfortunately they allow people to camp right by the cabin-within 30 feet! The campers partied till 3am. This cabin is maybe worth a nightly charge of $89-100 tops a night. Certainly not a $269 a night room. Don’t make the same mistake we made. Don’t stay here. Very disappointed.

The couple who owns this place does an amazing job of keeping everything fixed, clean and ready to go for guests. Easy access to yummy Thai and Mexican food trucks, out of the way cabins and motel rooms make for a pleasant and quiet stay — would recommend to anyone!

This place is cool, good service, and the cafe up from is spectacular. The views are great and the cabins are clean! Would recommend to anybody!

The place is awesome, it's self contained, store, liquor store if you want it, food trucks, supper was good but don't do breakfast tacos or brkfst burrito, not eat would be better. It has a beautiful view of the river behind the cabin and the sound of the river flow is soothing. Stay here, eat somewhere else but really your a captive audience. Loved it!

Every room was comfortable and had a great view, the cabbins are set up to allbe over the river. Has 2 great food trucks out front.

Room is wonderful. Beds are comfortable. Pillows are great. Bathroom is a tad small. Needs shelf space. View is awesome with balcony to enjoy it.

We paid a lot for a cabin overlooking the river and it was very quaint, but it wasn't very clean. I almost did not shower this morning and planned to wait to shower until I got back to Anchorage. I changed my mind and did shower, but there was hair and grime on the shelf in the shower. I cleaned the shower while I was in there so that my husband wouldn't be grossed out. The sink area outside the bathroom was also a little bit gross and I just put a washcloth over the faucet handles so I didn't have to touch anything. Also, maybe I should have asked about this prior to booking, but there are NO plugs in the bedroom area. My husband couldn't use his CPAP. Also, no Wi-Fi unless you pay extra. It is a very cute little area off the river and would be great for camping I'm sure, but since we paid for a cabin (and paid a lot). It was a disappointing experience and we wish we would have stayed down the road.

Rooms were clean and had a nice view, but there were extra charges for everything. Lose your key? $5. Very limited phone service, no data, and they charge $20/night for Wi-Fi.

Stay at the hotel, avoid the cabins, don't expect great service. I understand that stuff happens but calling us the day we are to check in to say that our cabin doesn't have power is not cool. The rooms in the new building are very nice. However… $35 for Wi-Fi? No fridge? Ice Machine is broken? Ugh. Denali is beautiful so I will look forward to our time in the park and tolerate the poor service performance of this place.

Since I can’t sleep, I’ll write a review. The good: the cabins are cute, staff generally friendly, rooms were clean, very accommodating to a last minute change of dates with no added charges. Food trucks on site are very good (May 2018 has Mexican and Thai. Mexican serves breakfast through dinner). The bad: noise, noise, noise! The mountain view cabins face the highway. The noise from cars all night is not what you want when you book a cabin in Alaska! Worse, the folks staying in trailers near the Mexican food truck partied all night with the radio blasting until 2am and loud talking until after 4am. I addressed this with the front desk — asking for ear plugs — and they responded “so sorry that was a one time event, it will be quiet tonight. ” Well, it’s after 11pm and the radio is on, adults and kids talking very loud (over the radio) — I guess it drowns out the car noise? I was looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in Denali. I got two nearly sleepless nights. As the front desk closed at 9pm, there is nobody to contact about the noise and they didn’t seem to care when I addressed it in the morning. If you purchase from their store, check expiration dates. I found food that expired 9 months ago. Paid Wi-Fi is ridiculous in 2018 especially at $20 per day. Since cell service was lacking, I paid for it anyway. Jokes on you, using it to post this review! If you’re going to run a resort just feet from the highway, you need to build with better sound proofing.

It wasn't bad, and the price was right. However, there isn't much around, the sites are small, and the occasional semi going by can be loud. If you're going, I'd look for another option, but if you can't find one don't rule the Grizzly Bear out.

Nice place. A bit over priced. We got a judgement to the river. The river made a lot of noise. But the lodge is superior nice. Have window open to the river side. No bugs, no insects. The service center has beers for sale. Also has wood and something else to sell. There are several food trucks nearby. Some lodges are really nice. But also there are camp sites for campers. Overall, this is a nice place.

Amazing location, great rooms right on the river, music of flowing water just takes away all your stress in minutes, so refreshing climate in the morning. Thai food joint on site is so delicious, never though we will have such a tasty great asian food in middle of nowhere in Alaska!

You would be better off sleeping in your car. The cabin was dirty (hair in shower and on bathroom floor). The room was cold at night as it took over 5 hours to warm up with a portable space heater. The pilot light on the water heater blew out and we couldn't take a shower until morning. The TV was old Sylvania picture tube style from the 1980's or earlier with 3 or 4 channels and you could not really see the picture. What a waste of money @ $259 per night!

Great hotel outside of town with amazing balcony views of the river from your room. Very cozy and clean.

The rooms are cozy and well equipped. The view is breathtaking. It is 7 miles from the Denali park entrance. This place has two food trucks parked from 5 am to 10 pm and there is another Deli right across the street but that is just it in terms of food. The rooms do not have a microwave however they do have one in the reception area which is open till 10pm. We were here only for a night — given the view, sound of the running river right next to the resort, I wish we had stayed longer. If visiting the park, I would definitely recommend this stay.

Hotel located in a strategic location a few miles from the Denali, there are various ways to stay LA, you can do camping, stay in a cabins (i. E. A mini cottage) or take a normal hotel room. With my family we opted for the room. The rooms are furnished with a local style, i. E. They are all wooden, and spacious. As soon as you enter the room you hear a smell of anti Tarla product, the mattresses are hard but despite this the quality of sleep is good, the sheets are visibly old and in my opinion not even stretched. The carpet is not spotless. There is not a lobby and there is no free Wi-Fi, it is only for a fee. The air conditioning is just hot. Also in the room there is a fridge that is essential for those who want to visit the interior, the park since inside the park there are no restaurants and so must do the shopping the day before, there is not even a bar for a meal forks two carts for food in front of the Reception that are open for dinner and lunch, breakfast not even the shade, to the point the fridge becomes fundamental. There is a food outlet that opens at 10am as the reception, so you are unable to check out especially early. Staff more or less sympathetic. The rooms are offered at a very high price so value for money is non existent.

Wonderful place to stay. Multiple options from Tent spaces, RV parking, Cabins, and hotel type accommodations. Everything was super clean. Staff was available all the time. The Thai and Mexican food truck options was an unexpected pleasure. I will definitely return.

No sewer for RV. Expensive Wi-Fi service and laundry.

The water from the sink in the room was not drinkable water. It was as silty as the water in the river behind the hotel. It looked beautiful from my balcony; not in my drinking cup. When I mentioned this to the front desk the staff asked me if I was "promised drinkable water when I checked in. " No. No I was not. Some things you just sort of assume are included! The staff overall was genuinely disinterested in helping us with a few other things. I stayed at the Grand Denali Lodge as well while we were in Denali. It was only about $50 more per night. I wish that I would have just spent all three nights there.

It's a nice place with okay rooms. We just stayed overnight with no interaction with the staff.

A fantastic place for a vacation. Family ran is the best in Denali. Don't look anywhere else for a true Alaskan place of comfort and peacefulness. Trails right out your cabin, sounds of the river and away from the crowds.

Our accommodation was in a small cabin with restroom, nicely decorated and fairly inexpensive. However, the cabin was located directly next to the highway and with the branches of trees scraping the roof and walls was very noisy all night. Overall was a good experience.

Great place, friendly people and awsome views.

Showers are a bit short and Wi-Fi very expensive other wise very good.

Beautiful view of the river from my room with a little patio. I just wish we had a mini fridge in the room.

Very clean room. Highly recommended. 6 miles south of the busy tourist area.
