Avoid this hotel if you are booking online! I booked my room online and stayed here a couple years ago. When I got here, they had overbooked and had to send me down the road to another property. It was inconvenient for a weary traveler but I did have a room. I booked a room here again today and prepaid my room. When I got here this time they had booked out both properties, leaving me to call Priceline and request a refund. I wouldn’t be so upset about it if the room had just been reserved but the room was paid for and they were getting paid anyway. We ended up at the Days Inn a mile away. They have great showers! Go there instead.

Nice place! Great breakfast! Staff and housekeeping could be improved (the ones we had interactions with were pretty rude most of the time besides the breakfast lady).

Please do not stay at this hotel. I recently stay at the Extended Stay in Birmingham, Al at 12 Perimeter Park. A cleaner came to my room and told me I needed to switch rooms because I was in the showroom. I was already frustrated about having to switch rooms especially with having a sick baby but I cooperated and did so anyways. A few minutes later another lady came to the door and told me I needed to leave because the previous women smelled marijuana smoke coming from my room (she never even came all the way in). I then told them to call the police and they said they are going to do so anyways. When the police showed up literally 5 mins later he came all the way into the room and said he smelled no smoke…. Just a lemon smell, but no smoke. I was then told I had to leave the premises and that now I am trespassing and I will not receive a refund. Now that I have been trying to reach corporate office it has been very hard to do so. There wait time on the phone is 30mins. They constantly transfer me to the wrong areas or just don’t answer the phone. The property manager is currently reviewing the situation but so far I am not receiving a refund. This can not be legal. If no one reaches back out to me in the next few days I will take legal action. I am letting you all know this just to warn you to be careful about staying at EXTENDED STAY AMERICA especially the location in Birmingham, AL (Extended Stay in Birmingham, Al at 12 Perimeter Park)

Good nice cheap clean to be on the way.

Rooms needs to be clean. I had no trash can, no face towels, there was a paint brush left in the sink. And to top everything else off the fire alarm went off around 10 o'clock pm and stayed on until 12:30am. When we went to the front desk worker told us rudely to go back to our rooms that she was working on it. Call corporate office to see if we can get a refund and go somewhere else. They stated that they don't give refunds. At least they could have gave us a discount on our rooms. We was outraged and didn't get any rest.

Nothing like the pictures led us to believe. The pictures of the"Queen Suite" I booked looked amazing. Queen bed, separate living area with a full size couch/ pullout bed. I was so excited to get here and stretch out. As you can see… my photo is taken from the doorway. A small double bed against the wall, not even enough space to cram a second bedside table in here. And I'm pretty sure the little chair doesn't fold out into a second bed… So disappointed. Here's the difference between their website pic and what you actually get.

I’ve never had an experience like this at any extended stay. Check in, go to my room, keys don’t work. Get into my room and there’s no toilet paper, “oh those cleaning ladies… ” the oblivious desk clerk said. Finally ready to go to bed, and the worst of it, blood and hair on the sheets, it was already late so I slept on the hairy and non bloody bed. Next morning: mucus all over the shower curtain. I went to work, and around 5pm told the clerk I needed someone to change all sheets/ clean the shower curtain. He said the maids were gone, and that he’d give me sheets. When I got there, he didn’t have any pillowcases or clean blankets, so I got a new room instead. New room didn’t have the blood, but a dog had recently been in both beds. Not cleaned. I ended up using the sheets the clerk gave me to cover everything, and one sheet for my blanket.

Room was worth the price. Management (Tiffany) was awesome. Lisa at the front desk is AWESOME! Everyone were quick to address any concerns.

The room was great but if you want breakfast this is not the place. I stopped here specifically to have a room with breakfast. I didn't read the reviews but wished I had. There's a Days Inn that's the same price in the area I've stayed at before. The rooms aren't as nice but the breakfast is fantastic. I'll be staying there on my way back thru.

The staff was very nice the woman who I think was the daytime manager was very fast and efficient but the rooms were horrible. I had to get 2 rooms 1 for me and 1 for my sister. First thing my sister's room was overunned by stink bugs we killed 4 of them after that she went to put something in the trash and found a dirty diaper. My trash can in my room was also full and I did not have any wash clothes. Staff is nice but the housekeeping is bad.

It was very convenient to shops and restaurants as well as all the interstates. My room was clean, neat and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Also, it was quiet! Pet friendly too! I'd recommend anyone I know to stay here.

Good rooms for the price. Great location on HWY280, but you really need a car to get most places nearby. Satellite TV goes down in a hard rain and needs better channel selection. Paid Wi-Fi is only about 5Mbps. Usually quiet, but can get noisy. Very pleasant staff.

Rooms were not clean. Same type of hair on pillow as in the clogged shower. Toilet had pubes on seat and pink ring in water. Appearance was good but closer look proves otherwise.

Great experience everything was clean and neat. Although Wifi wasn't strong at all, fridge wasn't cold, could of given more wash cloths and Iron didn't work but they immediately came and brought another one too me. Also the water was very hot and I loved that.

Very nice room. The first night the Wi-Fi didn't work but the second night it did. Very soft bed and pillows.

Bed bug hotel. The staff wonderful kind understanding people. We Checked in at night and did not see all the signs of a BIG BED BUG PROBLEM. We were lucky our luggage was not affected but mentally I may need therapy it was just that bad.

This place is very convenient and priced right.

Rude cancelled my reservation because of my small dogs I even offered to get the fee but was declined. The reservation was made through Priceline. I've battled now 2 weeks and just found out this. The reservation was for 7/13 through 7/17 the hotel kicks me out within 10 minutes of checking in. Was told they put me down as checking out on the 17th. I consider this stealing my money this is for service not rendered. I do not recommend them.

I didn't even stay here but this rating should be given to them because our reservation was for the day we arrived. We were not able to check in until 3:00 pm and we arrived at 6 am. The office is has hours no one is on staff during the night. The staff was talking about them having bed bugs and it being an issue to some of the customers. We waited until the office was open only to wait many more hours to check and then I decided to go to a different hotel. The staff wasn't helpful and very unpleasant and I would never stay at this location!

DO NOT STAY HERE! I am paying an arm and a leg to stay here over the summer for an internship and it is disgusting. I have been here a month and complained about bugs in my room FIVE times. I have had them come exterminate my room twice and there are still beetles the size of TWO quarters coming into my room. I also have found cockroaches, spiders, centipedes, gnats, flies, and smaller beetles. It is horrible and disgusting. I have never been so grossed out in my life. The staff has no clue how they are getting into my room and how to prevent it. Don't ever stay here. Trust me, it's not worth it and you will be disgusted.

My stay has been very inconsistent here. The rooms, while clean (eventually) and acceptable in decor and appearance are offset by the poor customer experience I've had. The room I was originally put in was not cleaned for me and I went in to find linens all over the place, food scattered all over and even poop stained towels. When I went to the front desk I was told "whoops, that's weird. I guess we'll see if we have another room. " That's a less than satisfying answer when there is literally poop towels in your room. Once they got me another room it was much better but next to a group of laborers who were hanging out on the balcony being quite loud. Fortunately they seem to have departed after a day. The rooms aren't fancy but they're tidy and have kitchen amenities. You can get plates and cutlery if you ask (which seems like it should be unnecessary) and they make it seem like a huge inconvenience to get them for you. Lastly, my employer paid for daily housekeeping but apparently that's another thing they don't seem to do on their own unless prompted. They came yesterday but didn't bother showing up today. It seems that if I paid for a service, it should be provided whether I specifically come and ask you for it or not. Overall, the accommodations are acceptable for the price but don't expect the staff to go out of their way for you.

This room was absolutely disgusting. The room was filled with roaches and there were stains throughout the room, counting the bed, the walls, the bathroom, and the kitchen area. This was the first time I have ever stayed with Extended Stay, and the ONLY recommendation I will be sharing with peers, is to avoid this facility and company. The quality of this stay was my worst hotel stay experience by far, and the level of care in terms of upkeep are non-existent at best. The only thing the hotel lived up to, was the fact I elected not to receive a room cleaning service during my short stay of two nights. Something they seem to be very well practiced in providing, is lack of care…

The price and rate were amazing. The room we were given was just ok… When we came to check in, there wasn't anyone at the desk and I had to call the front desk, for a manager to come. He apologized and explained that he didn't get anyone for the front desk at the moment and so he had to do it. The room was, again, just ok and it out looks like maybe all the rooms need a refurb… The location is great, with quick access to the highway and with plenty of places to eat all around.

If all you need is a probably clean bed, then this is the place. If you want other things, like… a hot shower? Clean floors? Clean bathroom? Not so much.

Roaches in the room, poor housekeeping. Someone used my sink to wash hands or smth when I wasnt there leaving it all dirty. Approached the manager regarding this issue and as I expected no one came out to clean it. They talk nice and promise a lot but the following morning next person on duty at the office has no notes left whatsoever for what you asked last night. They simply don't care. Avoid.

The manager is very entitled. He expects you to work around him no matter what. There's a problem with bugs, and housekeeping never comes. You have to beg for clean towels and such. But it is very reasonably priced and is a safe area.

If I could go in the negative reviews, I would. The rooms were infested with roaches, room where nasty. I'll never stay here again!

The hotel itself is nice. The rooms are more sound proof than most hotels I've stayed at which is really nice and the rooms are big enough for about two people. My only complaints are that if you take a shower at the same time as most everyone who gets up in the morning good luck getting anything more than lukewarm water. Other than that it's the usual complaint of the internet being slow. All in all you get more than you pay for here. It's nice, small, quiet, and convenient.

Their monthly rate as extended stay motel is ridiculous 1100 per month the reason for this outrageous price is it's animities which isn't all that special because for that price can get any apartment you want in Birmingham area even it's competitors have same animities and way cheaper in town suites for example.

I checked in here last night and was given the key to room 304. As I walked in, I noticed something on top of the cabinets in the kitchen. After inspecting it, turns out it was an empty chewing gum box that contained five empty syringe caps inside, along with a syringe lying next to it. There was also dried blood splatter running up the wall next to the refrigerator. I got my money back and left there. If I knew how to post a photo of what I found, I would. Because I definitely snapped a few.

Definitely a two star hotel… At best! Mildew smell filled the room upon arrival, mildewed shower curtain. Mold on the tub drain and tiles. Rough towels, cheap toilet paper, no hair dryer, ask for a coffee maker.

Will never go with this brand again, The bathroom had hair all over the toilet, the sides of the toilet on the floor was covered in urine. There were no trash bags/trash cans in room, the pillow cases were dirty, we only were given 1 washcloth, there was no remote, and when my husband requested a remote, the staff was kind enough to bring one that did not work, she said she would grab anther remote and never showed back up, upon check out when my husband told the other attendant this she just made other excuses. I understand this is not a five star hotel but I believe everyone has the ability to be clean and friendly, If little things like this does not bother you, then this is worth the stay, but if you enjoy cleanliness and a friendly helpful staff, I would recommend a better hotel chain. They only got 2 stars from me because of their location.

Kinda like sleeping under a bowling alley. Not sure what was going on upstairs, but woke up a bunch of times. Shower was cold. Bed was hard. Continental bfst consisted of Nature Valley granola bars, muffins and weak coffee. Staff was great.

Friendly staff, and a nice place to stay. But, the water in the hot water tank and breakfast came out dirty. I don't want to think about what was in the coffee.

Nice friendly place. Good clean facility with laundry. Very quiet even when full. Not much space for pickup truck and trailer.
