I had a king non smoking room. I had to go buy fabreez the smoke smell was so bad I could not sleep. You could see a gap in the door to the outside. Breakfast was ok in the sense of the food but the layout of the dining room was a joke. No way could a wheelchair fit in the dining room. I would definitely pay more money a night to stay at another hotel.

Had an enjoyable experience with Days Inn. Clean rooms (we rented 3) and very quiet and peaceful. We chose the rooms at the back facing a grassy hill so it was nice and quiet and dark. AC unit worked great and kept us cool all night. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The breakfast buffet was not huge but there were options and the food we had was good.

Very clean and nice rooms. The staff is friendly. We were pleasantly surprised that the pictures match the actual rooms.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff very accommodating to my needs. I highly reccomend.

Front desk staff checked me in quickly. The parking was plentiful and well lit. The hardwood floors and remodeled room was great. Nice sized TV and minifridge. Everything was clean and the a/c cooled like a champ. I will be staying here again next week.

Hotel staff is super nice, with up to date rooms (stayed in three of them). Beds are pretty soft and supportive. Good amount of in room coffee. Warm, firm water pressure.

This place is sketchy. We came here because all the other pet friendly hotels didn’t have rooms left. First room (we were told it was the last pet friendly room) smelt like an ash tray so we went down to see if we gave us a refund and they let us try another room. This room smells like weed but my parents said they’d rather it smell like weed than cigarettes. So we’re staying in a non-pet friendly room, hopefully the next person that has this room won’t be deathly allergic to dogs. Besides the weed smell the only other downs is the bottom of the bathroom door looks like it was sawed off and the toilet had skid marks.

An older motel that looks like they have updated everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. Best of all, the offered FRESH remotes! ;)

This was one of the best hotels in the $55-$75 range. Extremely clean and neat with no overpowering scent. Breakfast was very good. Definitely would stay again. It was easy access to I-65.

Customer service was spectacular. The room was clean and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's a very nice place. We are using their banquet room now for Discover Prophecy teachings of the bible. They are very nice and helpful.

Excellent! I asked the hotel clerk if the heat was turned on when I made the reservation over the phone. Lynn the clerk went out into the cold and turned it on. She went the extra mile! I arrived to a warm and cozy room! Excellent service and clean room! 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We got a room here quickly at a great price. The room was clean and spacious and the complementary breakfast was more than expected. We will definitely look at coming back if we're in the Athens area again.

Nice clean accommodations. Very helpful staff. We forgot a couple things when we left and they made sure we got them back! Highly recommend!

Very clean room. Military rate made it more affordable to stay. Very modern and up to date with furniture and bedding.

Checking in late in the evening. The room is sparkling clean, the window curtain closes without a gap, the bed is nice and firm. Mini-fridge/freezer and microwave are shiny as if they've never been used. And the price is crazy reasonable. I would 100% stay here again and recommend them to others.

Greeted ny a very nice and efficient front desk lady. Had to call down to office room didn't have heat she sent maintenance but couldn't fix so moved to different room, very inconvenient but she was so nice, we were ok. Good breakfast and another nice front desk.

Friendly desk staff, check in process was fast and efficient pet friendly room has hardwood floors and was clean. Room has a small kitchen and fridge. Room rates were good also. Breakfast was a little spartan by 8:30 but was OK. We have no complaints.

Stayed here recently as an evacuee from Hurricane Irma. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially the gentlemen at the front desk who I believe may be the manager. Room was clean and you can tell they have made updates. Bathroom is outdated but who really spends a lot of time in there anyway? Would definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area.

We came here to evacuate Hurricane Irma. The staff was very friendly and it was a good fit for our dogs as well. The hotel was filled with other Florida residents. The exit had plenty of stores and restaurants. We went to Huntsville and other area attractions. We would come here again if we need to evacuate again!

The rooms were dirty. The floor wasn't mopped or even swept. The tub/shower was gross and grey. There was trash between the bed and nightstand. There were bed bugs. Big ones. The bed had other people's hair on it. Not sure it it was from housekeeping or the previous guest. However, the look is modern and pleasant. The ac works well. And it is quiet. I would not stay here again, though, because of how dirty it was. Bring bleach if you do stay here. I would not spend more than $40 for this room.

This place is great! Nice size rooms, super clean and nicely furnished. The staff at check is was really friendly. If I am ever back in the area I will be definitely be staying here!

Great location, near to I65 but not close enough to hear the traffic. Convenient to local restaurants. Staff our really helpful and friendly, can't do enough for you. Rooms are serviced even during your stay. The recent room refurbishment really makes the hotel stand out against other motels. The breakfast is really good for a motel, and they have a wizzy new pancake machine! Thoroughly recommend.

My parents came into town for the week. I gave them the number for this Days Inn. My mother booked the room. I am local so I decided to drive over there and check out the rooms. The young man at the service desk was very friendly as I asked to see a room. He told me what room my parents were going to be in and gave me a room key to check it out. The room was perfect, clean and updated just as they described. My parents arrived in town on a Sunday afternoon. I have 2 sisters who were traveling with them. The oldest is 41 and is autistic and my younger sister is 4. They were happy with the room. We met over at the room on Monday to make plans. The AC was cold but not keeping the room as cool as they wanted. The owner came right over to check it out. He worked on the unit but couldn't get it to work better. They moved my parents to the room next door with a nice cool unit. We spent some time there and used the swimming pool. As we were at the pool the owner and staff were doing outside cleaning and dusting. The hotel outside areas were very clean and well kept. The owner was on the premises and very friendly. We used the pool a few times during the week and the staff was great! The rate was very reasonable. I travel quite often for work and stay in all kinds of hotels like Holiday Inn and Mariots and I would stay in this hotel. I sometimes bring staff down here from other offices. I would recommend this Days Inn any day of the week!

The owners watch you constantly. They do not honor any form of coupon discounts. Price gaugers! The weekly rates are barely any cheaper than a single night. House keeping will beat on the door at 8am to offer fresh towels but never offers to make the bed or clean. The only two good things about this place is the rooms have been remodeled and are actually nice, and the swimming pool is fun for the kids also, but the pool doesn't open until 10am and closes at 10pm and they will come run you out if you are there at 10pm on the dot. They are stingy with their free breakfast! Tgey had the nerve to tell my wife in front of other guests that she couldn't take her food back to the room! Also after staying 7 days we needed one more night and we couldn't get the same rate "$60 plus tax" because they wanted to force us into buying a whole week even know we didn't need one.

I am in motels 25 nights a month and I have stayed at some bad motels, this Day Inn is great I spent 5 days here on busines the motel is under new management, rooms have been refurbished, pool is clean, rooms clean, and the fastest Internet I have ever had and I was in the 2nd building away from the office by the pool, the breakfast has a lot to offer pancakes, eggs, sausage etc, the owners, staff and even management go out of there way to make you feel welcome and make you a deal the manager Sandip and his wife worked with me from my phone reservation to may last day always there with a hand shake and a nice word this is the first review I have ever done in my 20 years of travel. thanks, your are the best and I will be back.

Beautiful facility which is  recently under renovation (the new management just took over) But, still it's quiet, clean and cozy. The rooms are well equipped, neat and clean. Very helpful, warm hearted  professional staff. They will go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable and at home. Everytime you come across any staff member they will smile at you greet you and will definitely ask if you need anything. Not, to forget about the warm and variety of things for breakfast … and they will wait for you to finish cleaning up even if you have passed their breakfast time… Courtsey.

I rented a room one king bed with a coupon 45.99+ tax. While there some of my family came to visit and enjoy the pool. There was 8 of us total. My husband and I left to go get food while we was gone the manager came down and kicked us all out. Said because we use a coupon we wasn't allowed company to use up their amenities. They was only using the pool not staying for breakfast. The manager also Said other guest was complaining that we was making lots of noise. That's a joke when In Our room we could Hear the next rooms TV it was so loud. I will not stay here again Or refer anyone else to this location either. Cause no one travels to visit family …

Suite was big and pretty clean. Full fridge and a king, Queen and pullout bed. Easily fit us all. "continental breakfast" was about what you'd expect from a cheap hotel, but I didn't get sick. :-)

Killed at least 6 mosquitos as soon wife and I got in room. Both of us and dog got woke up being bit by bed bugs. Stale odor in room. Woke up sneezing due to dust. Never again!

Do not stay. First 3 nights, just fine. Last night, got in an argument with the front desk over simple language issues. They can't speak clear English. To top it off, also was the receiver of 8 spider bites. Not bed bugs, pretty sure it was a spider. Was hesitant to stay at a place like this, now I know why.

I was in athens with family, and we were looking for good room with good price. Look what we found! Great renovated room, comfy bed, and great Wi-Fi speed. I recommended this place to all. We will be back Days Inn. Thanks.

Roomed seemed clean enough, bathroom was horrible, floor right before the toilet was starting to cave in (2nd floor) went to take a shower, and the shower pan is likewise caving in. I put my heel through it. I weigh 230lbs, im also 6'2, I'm big, but not morbidly so. Woke up the next morning with bed bug bites all over me. Could not pay me to stay here again. Better off going to the budget inn on Highway 31, rooms are actually clean, rates are cheaper, oh forgot to mention the poor water pressure in the shower at the days inn.

My husband and I decided to come stay overnight for our valentine's day celebration. The room was ready immediately. It was clean and we'll organized. Checking in and out was quick and simple and there were no hidden fees. I will be returning.

Stay away! this place is horrible. Every room smells like smoke. Dirty beds, sticky furniture. This place seems more like a crime scene than a a motel. An embarrassment to the brand name.

I have always enjoyed Alabama's southern hospitality. But this hotel's customer service is outstanding. They were very pleasant and accommodated my husband and I well. Nikki was the clerk, and was exceptional, making sure our check-in was efficient and quick, but careful. Our conversation felt like we knew each other forever, but didn't get personal. Teresa (housekeeper) made sure our room was comfortable before leaving. She brought us extra essentials we needed and asked for, and asked if she could do anything else to make us feel at home. I will most definitely stay at this hotel the next time I come back home to visit.

I loved staying here! The people are so nice and accommodating! The rooms are clean and the beds are super comfortable. My stay was fairly long (2&1/2 weeks) but everyone made me feel right at home! I'm planning another trip in the Winter and will definitely be checking in again. Bottom line… If you like being treated like an anonymous number then go ahead and pay $120+ and stay in a "fancy pants" hotel but if you like the feeling of "coming home" to family and friends your best bet is Days Inn in Athens Alabama!

It may be the room we were given, but that room (119) needs a big rehabbing. Hopefully others got better rooms. Strongly suggest that you preview the room before you stay.

It's a two star hotel. What do these people expect? The Ritz Athens? I had a clean room, a nice breakfast, and the staff was friendly. This is one of those places where the room door goes to the outside so I heard a few people coughing and walking past my room at night, but other than that it was a nice stay.

So… after spending the night in a subpar room, dirty… drywall coming off in the bathroom etc… we thought oh well it was at least a place to crash and for 60 bucks, what do you expect. Then we took our party of 9… 5 of which were hungry teenagers to get our free complimentary breakfast and things just got worse. Mind you it was 9:10am… 50 minutes before the breakfast ended and they were out of virtualy everything. Sausage, biscuits, gravy etc. Every table was filthy… covered in what appeared to be already chewed up sunflower seeds. It was disgusting. I sat there fuming watching one of the employees on facebook instead of oh… maybe cleaning tables off. Then the kicker was… my wife used the bathroom in the lobby and there was no toilet paper… when asked for some, the replied we are out… heres a box of kleenex. Are you kidding me? Never again!
