If you want your possessions stolen, rude staff & a bad breakfast — stay here. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and stay somewhere else where you might find some peace of mind about your possessions & be treated with more respectful & better quality service. Unfortunately, I cannot in good faith recommend staying at Room Mate Emir Istanbul due to the extremely poor quality of service & theft of my belongings. During our 1st of 4 nights in the hotel, a pair of expensive s…unglasses were stolen & instead of taking the issue seriously, the hotel staff decided that it was just my 'opinion' that my glasses were in the hotel & they couldn't do anything. (Sadly, I had just bought these pair of glasses & very consciously placed them in my bag to grab them before we explored the city for the day. Upon my return after breakfast, the glasses were gone). The hotel responded very rudely & poorly to this issue that I raised immediately. They didn't do or offer anything to us for this incident as I continued to follow up on 2x day/over four days. The staff was not proactive in approaching me to deal with the issue and instead always waited for me to ask for an update on the situation. They were also dismissive and rude, which is not the kind of service you expect. Moreover, the breakfast here is horrible. Neither the juices, coffee nor the croissants is fresh and the only hot option are eggs.

Trendy Boutique hotel in the heart of Taksim. VERY spacious rooms and nice decor. Thank you Tahsin at the reception. Breakfast is basic and can be improved.

Wow! What a beautiful and cozy boutique! The prices were incredible affordable, I stayed at the Junior suite, were modern and clean design were the highlight, with pink sofa, clear wooden and mirrors in the sealing, just stunning! The boutique itself is all about design, breakfast was ok, very minimal but necessary, cleanliness was impeccable. Some stuff were bit weird, the elderly male staff which I couldn’t remember the name is simple amazing! Super friendly! Treated me as we meet, very friendly, kind and warm! He deserves a 5 starts! Even tho he does not speaks English always tries to help! Location was perfect! Perhaps some would not agree as it just happens to be the place where transgenders night workers, like to hang the most, but for me was the best place in the whole Istambul! Much more than Sultanhamed! If you do stay there go to 360 restaurant! The best! Just 5 min walk from there! Will return with my sister for sure!

Very nice 4* large rooms and pretty decoration. Situated in a very charming hot climbing road and a night-out neighborhood, near shopping.

We got the family room which was spacious and clean. Well decorated building with all these small details. The staff are very gentiles especially the guys in the reception who were very helpful and collaborative. The only con about the hotel is that the location on a downhill road which hard to access by taxi or cars but it's very close to istiklal caddesi almost 2 min walking. The Breakfast is the same everyday no major change but was good. Don't expect something fancy. It is a typical Turkish breakfast. I would like to thank you so much for making my first visit to Istanbul such a nice one.

Great atmosphere and an amazing staff! I had a wonderful weekend there, everything was perfect — the rooms, the spa… lovely and relaxing place. I highly recommend the hotel especially because it is located at the city center.

This hotel is nice but they do not keep reservation. They kicked my cousin out after he made reservation. He was told that hotel is overbooked after he paid full amount after spending two nights already. Made reservation for r more nights and then was asked to please understand the overbooking. They have returned the money. I do not recommend it bec it is not reliable.

Perfect location, 2 minutes walking from Taksim square. Rooms are very large, clean and well designed. Highly recommended! One thing you should consider — there are couple of pubs and clubs below the hotel, sometimes the music and the basses can disturb, for all night.

I enjoyed my stay here very much, eventhough there was a problem with the room and I had to move, everything was corrected, staff was attentive (yet, slow) I liked the décor a lot, although there were a few design/function failures… light is also a down side, but amazing bathtub and lovely foyer. On top of all, great location.

A splendid hotel and very central. The suites are lovely, spacious and do not go up much in price. Luxury Hotel but accessible and to highlight the mix that have made of an ancient building with a modern construction and design materials… Super recommended!

Nice place wonderful design. Friendly staff who speak english. Location is good close to Istiklal street — Taksim however, the 2 mins walking from istiklal to hotel is not so pleasent.

A wonderfully stylish hotel with attentive and friendly staff. The interior design features are first class. Attention to detail is awe inspiring. The location is great if you want to be near the action on Istiklal Street, yet it is still on a quiet side street. Staff is very attentive. I would definitely recommend the open buffet breakfast which is extra few bucks, but a good value for money. I will miss Deniz's americanos.

Nice hotel few steps close to isteklal Street taxim.

It is beautiful with the sane magic of the city of Istambul you can not believe the place you are the decoration is exquisit elegant. And the atention of the people is really hight level. Thanks.

In an area dominated by old hotels this is a hidden gemoffering a great experience at an affordable price. We had the junior suite which was huge. Location: The hotel is located off taksims main road passing by a few shady looking shops but overall its only a few seconds walk away from the Main Street. Amenities: this is part of the Room Mate hotels chain which I have stated in before in other countries and this one surpasses the others in terms of how luxuriously decorated its interiors are. The room is large with ample space for clothes and a large bathroom with both a rain shower and tub. Price: the hotel was on promotion charging EUR 69 per night which was great value this class of hotel. Overall very happy with the hotel. Minor drawbacks is that the hotel didn't seem like it has other amenities like spa or restaurants. My understanding is that those are yet to be ready. Stayed July 2017.

One of the most beautiful and best Hotels that I've ever been in. Service is incredibly good, location excellent, rooms a dream. Absolutely recommended!
