Courteous staff, nice ambience.

There staff are very friendly and polite. Its very basic and I wont recommend this place. But I had great holiday made friends.

Used to be called Residence Golf, new name same terrible hotel. Staff want money for everything, even if you go to the bar for a drink they expect a tip. Reception tried to give me old currency and lied to me that it was still accepted in shops. However cheap, don’t bother! Staff are rude and aggressive and just want your money.

Very relaxing. Always something nice to eat during the day, breakfasts very European but if you wait till 8 o'clock you can get fried eggs or an omelette made from the chef in restaurant. I found the restaurant staff very helpful was giving same table everyday drinks on table by the time we had got our food. Bar staff great on a night hadn't finished first drink and more put on table. Pool staff very good they brought mattresses for Sun lounges as soon as you were there. Animation staff were good entertaing children on a night. Cleaners or maids very good clean linen and towels everyday rooms cleaned excellent hotel. Well worth the money I paid for holiday definitely would go back. Money exchange in hotel, and a small shop. No tea making facilities in room or fridge so take travel kettle with you.

Value for money perfect personal at the top I recommend without hesitation.

The service and the food is too medium. I was not able to sleep at night because there were a discotheque not far from the hotel didn't stop the music until 3am.

Not great. Needs a refurb and Wi-Fi only available in reception. Staff can be rude too. Better hotels in area.

I had a wonderful New Year's Eve at Hotel Houria Palace so thank you for the staff thank you for the welcome and thank you for the gala dinner frankly it was wonderful thank you to the whole team.

More a dirty bordello than a hotel. Many old women with young toyboys drinking the whole day… The male 'animators' are also more toyboys than hotelstaff going to the rooms with female guests. They have no skills as animators. Only the smallest (NOT youngest! ) animator is good. Check-in: Very unfriendly guy at the reception (older man with glasses and few hair). During my check-in he gave me the feeling that I'm not welcome and should be thankful to get a room… Staff: The male staff is only polite to guests who pay tips. The waiters also decorate the tables of guests who gave tips with flowers AND bottles of drinks… the tables of the other guests are empty, no deco, no flowers… The barkeeper (small man around 40 — 45 years with short hair) is so unfriendly that I always have to think twice before I dare to order a drink… Room: The whole hotel is old. That wouldn't be a problem at all, but the rooms are absolutely not well cleaned. E. G. The blankets are not fresh washed and obviously used from the former guests… find some pics attached. Catering ('all inclusive' — guest) : NO free drinkwater! You have to pay for water bottels (I mean normal water, without gas). During the meals you have to wait until the waiters come to your table to order a drink! During 50% of my meals no waiters come so I had no drink. etc. WLAN: Many interruptions, quite bad. Elevators: most of the time defect, working very irregular.

Too much waste. Not always hot food. Side Room service perfect. Not always accepted by the tourist.

It's just okay for a mid range hotel, not too much to be expected. Still quiet lovely however needs a lot of maintenance and renovation work inside. Most of the amenities are outdated and broken, the staff is friendly up to some extent. Unfortunately, the neighbor's room were really enjoying their nights on the expense of our confort. I don't advise you to go there on a family trip, which we actually did…

This hotel is a quite nice nice hotel but the beach is quite a distance.

The rooms were not very special in terms of equipment. But the whole thing was ok. A great holiday from 5.1-26.1.2018 for 360€ for me!

Already for the value for money: 9, 5/10 I like very much, for the gala evening 2018 it was extra. Very successful of the divine dishes with an unparalleled ambience, the waiters and the leading staff very nice and hospitable honestly they need a very good job, after the problem is a bit the structure of the hotel for example of the sanitary broken sometimes, Wi-Fi very slow see absent, the elevator that crashes from time to time. Etc. Things that can be improved. Otherwise I like very much, keenly my next holiday in Tunisia!

If I could give this place a zero rating I would. Stay well away disgusting behavior by staff and security was subject to verbal and violent abuse.

Went to the houria palace hotel on the 31st July til 12th Aug 2017 all inclusive. Was a bit wary to be honest after reading some of the reviews people had sent in. But as soon as we arrived I knew we were going to love this place. Been to Tunisia many many times before but never to port el kantaoui omg I so love this place and the houria hotel I can't fault one bit. The room was ok for the price we paid wasn't too bad. Cleaners were there every single day what lovely people. Food omg could not fault at all. And the staff were brilliant. Location was perfect beach private I might add was walking distance water park right next door and the fair and port a 10 min walk if that. Will Defo be back and soon. X.

7 years coming to houria palace love it.

First you need to lower your expectations! Now this is not a 4* it is barely 3* and if I knew that at the time of booking I would have give it a 4* rating in my review. The good: cheap, spacious rooms, tasty food (for me and my faussy kids) plenty to choose from (breakfast lunch and dinner), all inclusive drinks are served in cheap flimsy cups but are good, room service is daily, swimming pool with slide and fairly maintained and life guard are present all time, animation team are doing their best with limited resources and staff are good and helpful AS LONG AS YOU ASK NICELY and I mean it (at the check in I had the same problem as the previous customer who was shouting all over the the reception… to be left with unsolved problem… Me "… Please… please… thank you very much. " The same issue solved in 5min! ) The bad: hotel is outdated, no water for the breakfast! Yes really! Very bad (the following morning I brought my own water. AC is noisy, no coffee and tea making facilities in the room, the lift is a nightmare always out of service. Breakfast ends early at 09:30 as well as dinner at 20:30. My advice: upgrade your stay by tipping everyone that serve you once a day and you will get a VIP treatment… Really… 1 or 2 Dinar is enough that's £0.30-£0.60 you end up by tipping £2 to £3 a day but it's worth it believe me. Have a nice stay.

Highly dont recommended, if you want to sleep you wont be able to as the music runs whole night and very loud.

Poor service, rooms not uberaut.

Everything you could expect for the bargain price £11ppp. Clean and tidy, local fresh food great breakfast, Tunisia is predominantly Muslim so don't expect the booze to be strong.

One word: HORRIBLE Palace! Says it all about that place.

Nice quick and nice pool a great hotel but ilblui mock much of anything to do.

Worst experience of my life don't go there.

Catastrophic service at the level of the rooms, air conditioning very low, the minibar is extra cost (10 dinars t) day
Bad smell in the bathroom despite cleaning, and it is not shower for toilet except for 1st floor
Incompatible breakfast schedule
There is only the picines and the kilos which is acceptable.

It is a very good hotel, well located, every time I go to sousse I stayed there, staff friendly, very good service, food c well and very clean rooms. Good nice.

I can only recommend Houria Palace Hotel. We stayed all in there for a week. Rooms: were clean and staff very friendly. Every day fresh towels and was always well cleaned. Daily fresh sheets and blankets. Food: The food was varied and tasty, something for everyone. Always imaginatively arranged and prepared! Best beverage service, we were not so fast drink, as was given to! Bar service all in: we were always promptly served. Drinks in glasses and sometimes plastic cups because the glasses were all. But that was no problem. Entertainment: Upgradeable, but quite ok. Will be trouble! M. F. Fam Super Kids, location: Lively street on one, Aqua Park with loud music on the other side. That was no problem for us! Conclusion: I would go back definitely! Tip: 5 or 10 TD give tip to start here and there (waiter, room service, etc. ), then your staying royally.
