Had an amazing time there. Super friendly staff and calm resort. back to Khao Lak, back to Manathai.

This is absolutely lovely place to stay. Calm and cool. Breakfast is very good, delicious. Family friendly!
There are a lot of activities for kids and all facilities are good. Kindly recommend for oil massage here. I don't like it but I love it!

Great friendly staff. Building work noise next door annoying. (It seems a slow process to finish the work. ) Lovely rooms, however kettle didn't work. They replaced it. Safe didn't work, it needed battery replaced swiftly done. Once again staff where most accomadating. It needs to be said that if you require any persons to place anything but human waste into the toilet, signs may help.
It was 2 days before we left we figured out why the lovely staff kept putting the bathroom bin right underneath the toilet roll.
I respect your requirements, please make it known for all traveller's in future. Knowledge will look after your country.

So our holiday was now here in the Manathai. It was a super beautiful vacation. The Hotel located very nice, right on the beach. Staff very friendly. Also the construction site next door has not been disturbed. A small but it is there nonetheless. We were now 8 days in this beautiful Hotel but it was not changed once, the bed linen.

Pristine and friendly. Large swimming pool, gym, kids club quiet and green. Far from center and expensive food in the hotel though.

The Manathai in Khao Lak is one of our favorite hotels. It is very well run and already when checking in begins the very worried holiday feeling. The rooms are spacious and well furnished and are kept very clean every day. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and there is something for every taste. The restaurant serves delicious food and several times a week themed evenings with great buffets at reasonable prices. The pool is very pleasant, at the pool bar there are delicious drinks and small dishes, in the evening you can also enjoy cocktails or enjoy dinner near the beach. Particularly noteworthy is the great, long sandy beach, there are plenty of loungers and the towels are exchanged unbureaucratically. The staff is very friendly, helpful and adorable.

I spent eight days and nine nights here. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and attractive and the staff were efficient, helpful and very friendly. The beach location was beautiful and there were many attractions within driving distance e. G. Hillside Elephant Sanctuary, National Parks, Tsunami Museums, temples, markets and many little restaurants and massage huts. I would come back again.

Very nice hotel! A little bit of the years, but shouldn't bother! Something more should be offered for children, with the child staff putting a lot of effort into it, despite communication problems. The Chinese are more of a small problem here.

We booked the garden villa and we loved it! We received a sunset drink each day with fresh fruit, the property is beautiful with a great quite beach and excellent staff! I would highly suggest.

It's a really good hotel I stayed in a junior suite and we had fresh fruit everyday sparkling water, and cocktail. The maiden were good with the cleaning and can really recommend the kids club. But one thing were negative — we weren't informed that the neighbourhood is a construction site. They are building a new hotel right beside Manathai. They started early with their hammering and squeaking and continued to late night… so that was pretty annoying. The breakfast is pretty good but has not so many vegetarian alternatives.

A great hotel with all the amenities you can imagine. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes they fail from their English. Nevertheless, after a short talk, one can make yourself understood. Nothing stands in the way of a family holiday at the Manathai.

Our family had two communicating deluxe garden rooms. The rooms where clean but a bit humid. Being on the ground floor, we could unfortunately hear every step in the rooms above us. The pool and the beach where both nice and clean but as usual the sunbeds were reserved in the early morning, by people leaving their t-shirts or towels on top. The food quality was good and we enjoyed different theme nights at the restaurant including a dancing show. There are several nice and cheaper alternative places to eat on the beach, at walking distance. Overall we had a good stay but were disappointed by the touristic feeling and price-quality ratio. (We paid 1.866 Euro for two rooms and 6 nights at the beginning of January)

We stayed for 5 nights, but wish it had been longer! Beautiful place, very well kept by polite and friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast, a lot of choices. Spacious rooms — but would like to have had a magnifying mirror in the bathroom or bedroom. On a beautiful beach, with sea which was constantly at body temperature! We will definitely come back for a longer stay next time!

Very good stay, Hotel Impecable, very well located, the staff of the reception up to the maid are very pleasant, smiling and attentive. If the restaurant of the hotel are a bit expensive there are on the beach which are very affordable and very good. The shuttle to the city is also a bit expensive but it is the only bemol of the stay. The breakfast buffet is perfect and very varied. The rooms are beautiful and the bedding is perfect. Beautiful pools and deckchairs always in sufficient number. We spent five perfect days.

Very average place. Just two big buildings lining a rather boring garden area. The pool is alright though and there are plenty of beach chairs. The service is great, but everything is way over priced. The restaurant is okay, but the menu is tiny and very unfriendly to vegetarians. The shower didn't drain and our sliding door was nearly impossible to lock. We didn't use or TV because it didn't work. The beach was nice though and a very kid friendly place with many families and older couples. It's also a bit secluded from everything else including other restaurants and shopping. Overall I wouldn't recommend it.

Very nice resort, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was really very nice and clean. The breakfast was very good and the choice plentiful. The beach is very beautiful and absolutely not crowded. The restaurant is not cheap, but you have the choice to go to one of the restaurants on the beach. I will be happy to come back at any time!

Just average. — The property is a long and narrow corridor between the road and the sea, with 2 parallel rows of 3 story buildings. It feels like in a city. — We had 2 deluxe garden rooms and we could hear every step in the rooms above us. — Althought they claim to have 2 restaurants, there is only one kitchen and it often takes 30+ minutes between the order and getting the food. — Breakfast is served at the main restaurant, with only few tables outside. — Hundreds of gray plastic sundbeds provide a very cheap view and feeling. — In Thailand there are mosquitos and this place is no exception but it has some ponds nearby. Expects lots of mosquitos. — One night we got a phone call at 2am. That's the kind of staff/people you will find in the property. — Tourist nationalities: mainly German and French but also Russians. — We spent 1.850€ for 6 nights in 2 rooms. Definitely not worth the money. If the price is high, the quality and experience must match. At a lower price, this could be a 4 star review. Never a 5 one.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I was actually satisfied with the service staff, the room service and the quality of the rooms.
It is more or less the standard to be expected for this price. But nothing more.
The breakfast buffet is absolutely fine.
Unfortunately, I can't claim that from the restaurant. Prices for dishes and drinks are just over twice as high as at the myriad Strabdbars. For this, the quality in the beach bars is better. The food in the restaurant is not as good as in the beach bars and the drinks are only cooled by ice cream. The Coke in the can itself, for example, is lukewarm.
The buffets offered at the end are of poor quality.
In addition, the hotel tries to pass on disproportionate prices to its guests in all possible places. So a taxi from the hotel to Khao Lak costs a good double than if you organize it privately and the Laudryservice loosely three times.
My criticism is not directed against the staff, but purely against the management that tries to milk the guest like a cow and totally fails in terms of customer service!

Nice and relatively small resort at the waterfront, good restaurants, modern rooms, wide white sandy beach, various services, helpful staff.

Beautiful Hotel. … nice clean rooms… beautiful swimming pool beautiful beach… nothing to say… staff really very smiling… theme evenings with excellent dishes… calm and Rest… great Stay.

It went on Cheers! We all liked it here. Quiet and peaceful place. No screams of the alkashes. In general, a paradise point to relax family and come again and again. Wishes are also available.

Excellent hotel with fantastic staff, the beach is one of the best I've ever stayed at goes on for miles. I would happily return to this resort for the beach alone.

How to describe the hotel: calm, relaxing, well maintained, friendly staff, not that many but good activities, average food (small portions and rather expensive for Thai standards) The hotel is more or less the only one on a long beach strip. So no other people, long deserted sand beaches and a lovely view. We really enjoyed our stay. I deduct one star for the rather expensive prices in the restaurants and bars. But there are many better food and drinking possibilities at the beach near the club. One more thing, the airport transfer organized by the hotel is reliable but really expensive (around 2000 baht). A local taxi is cheaper and just outside the hotel on the other side of the street is a local taxi service for the ride back. It is worth to compare!

Very remote but excellent place to relax. People are very friendly and helpful.

The resort could be fine if maintance was okay, nobody there to carry luggage when arrived, we experiance electic shortcut be the watercooker, sink issue, leakage in the room by rain. And needed to change room, and cut odd card entrance because they thought we checked out, why? So every day of 5 nights there has been an issue… and on the beach lot of garbage… however they clean the beach only front of resort.

Great for a less touristy spot, with full hotel amenities. Great for solo travelers as well as groups. Long stretch of spotless beach to frolic on. (Beach waves comparable to Cancun's! The water boast pretty blue hues during good weather! ) Pool's amazing too! Food in both restaurants (Pad Thai and Colours) were good and consistent! Breakfast spread's always amazing! Stayed in the deluxe garden room (ground floor, beach and pool level). It was spacious, neat and clean. Made special food request that was not on the menu and was impressed by what the executive chef, Martin, had whipped up for me! 5 star hospitality and service from management and staff! Thanks for making my stay a very pleasant one! I've enjoyed my stay here and I hope to be back soon!

Nice place for the family but it would be far better if all the facilities worked, but beside the minor irritation of temperamental lifts is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors.

Absolutely first class hotel, located beautifully on the beach. The welcome from the staff was the best we've had since we arrived in Thailand, they saw us pull in to the car park, took the bags from us, escorted us to reception, welcomed us with a cold towel and drink, seated us and took all the relevant information whilst accommodating us to the fullest. We were then taken to our room and shown all the amenities on the way, nothing is too much hassle and everyone of the staff we have encountered has been fantastic. When were pleasantly surprised just how modern the decor of the rooms are, very clean and made up exquisitely. Located on a private beach with plenty of sunbeds both on the beach and around the pool area. The staff round the pool area are equally fantastic finding you sunbeds together in a location you prefer, coming round with drinks menus and preparing the kayaks for you (free of charge! ) If you're thinking of staying in this area it really is a no brainer to stay at the Manathai Khao Lak!

Recently enjoyed a relaxing family holiday at Manathai Khao Lak. A very pleasant resort which I call paradise, the rooms are clean and roomy, staff very pleasant and friendly. The food is amazing, breakfast buffet is so fresh with multiply choice, but certainly a must are the special oceanfront dining buffet dinners, and stir fry creations from Pad Thai restaurant, deliciously fresh!

Hotel a year until 2013 is not quite dead. The territory is not large, on the sides of the swamps. Around there are a few local cafes. At the Fed not bad breakfast, drinks are expensive. There is a shuttle service to the town of Khao Lak, there's enough stores. You can all buy.

Nice Resort about 14km outside of Khao Lak direct single location in a very nice mile-long beach. Great Pool and excellent price/performance ratio. Absolutely recommended if you want to enjoy the recreation. The second Time is already here.

Great breakfast. Service not perfect but the intentions from staff was genuine and kind. Chic and large rooms. Reasonable price where extrabed for kids was included in the price. Children up to 16 years of age also eat buffet for free with parents. Nice area of the beach, long swimmingpool. And a few local restaurants nearby the hotel. We will be back!

Very satisfied. Breakfast buffet super! Dinner, prefer to go to the beach bars next door. Delicious food and cheaper than in the Hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Since I like to give a tip.

Beautiful facility, friendly staff, unfortunately very unpleasant smell in the toilet. Wonderful Breakfast buffet, the Italian Buffet was great. But otherwise the restaurant are overpriced, prices and service prices. For the travel to the airport independently, the much cheaper option is a Taxi as the hotel Shuttle service is offered. On the beach good and cheap Alternative to food. Recommended are the Coconut Beach and sports Bar. Good Drinks and attentive Barman. Beautiful Beach. Amazing just how some of the guests perform, and garbage and cigarette butts just lying on the beach (of course has nothing to do with the Hotel).

A wonderful resort coupled with amazing food and service which made our stay really pleasant. The lobby overlooks the green which runs to the pool by the beach. Activities are accessible by the resort which is situated 90 minutes away from Phuket Airport. The Pad Thai here is a dish worth trying for Thais or foreigners alike and we had real fun with the adventures offered by Wow Andaman. Counting down the days till we next return!

Peaceful, quiet and tranquil. Just a bit far from the airport. One and a half hour drive…

We were in April and had a Pool Villa. We were from the plant, and solitude on the beach, cleanliness and peace and quiet are absolutely satisfied. The Villa was as described romantically beautiful. The Room Service 2x a day perfect. In addition to the Hotel about 15 minutes walk you will find many Local Restaurants with fresh fish. The Hotel was in January Re-opened. The Pool Restaurant is nice but price performance are not right. Therefore, only Breakfast and the rest of typical Thai enjoy!
