The view was fantastic, the room was very enjoyable, with outside loungers and a table to eat at. The pool was great with lots of chairs and towel service. Very close to a variety of places to eat at very cheap prices. Some really unique bars along this strip as well. The staff could be a bit stand-offish, so loss of a star for that, but when I return here, I will stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful, stunning scenery. A fabulous location. Lovely resort with friendly helpful staff, but they force large extra charges on you if they can find an excuse.

Good location on the beach with sandy bottom swimming. Restaurant expensive with prices as expected for upscale lodging. We had some nice grilled barracuda and red snapper. Room had jacuzzi that was empty on arrival, but would have looked better if filled and ready to go. Cleaners cannot resist draining it whenever they find it full. Resort has a couple nice pools and plenty of deck chairs. Room clean and beds comfortable.

Definitely the best I have visited in Phuket area and neighboring islands. Ate very well. Dinner with show. Entering The spa you already have a feeling of relaxation. Price Altino but… The quality you pay! Council.

A paradisiacal seaside hotel, beautiful garden, two swimming pools. The bungalow we occupy is comfortable, the bedding excellent.

Perfect resort, rooms are huge and private, location is perfect and the pool is overlooking the West Beach. Breakfast is rich and tasty, staff is friendly but a bit slow with English. Rooms could use some quick maintenance, our safe was out of order, so was the jacuzzi which didn't really work and the shower needs a remodel 5 years ago.

Unfortunately, after 5 times of halogen in this hotel I must say that this, the fifth time is grew last. The policy of the hotel has become so rigid since 2009, our first time, to this part that now we have just deccisso not to return. Every time the reservation made directly with the hotel, total payment in cash made at the time of arrival, (5 night or 21, as we are listen in the first 2 times: November 2009 and November 2010). My husband climbs and she really enjoyed climbing in this area. This last time we arrived the last 21/04 and we saw understood so many changes, much more Muslim staff, instead of Budisti as it was before. I do not know this aid to the new policy, but at the time of Chek in have made us "list of all that not if he could do, " and to do it the consecuente economic fines. The first evening my husband asks for a estra blanket at the front desk and they told them if he had to pay ' a 800 THB per night '. I went to talk because I couldn't believe it, I asked 2 times if it was a 4 star hotel/Resort? Finally, what I understood the next day, which was the manager asked me to write in a form: "Because we wanted another blanket" and in 10 ' there would be the blanket in the room.
The next day, quieter I asked to speak with the manager, there I saw that it was the night before, and tempted to make her understand that: as a guest I had felt offended and also in. A very violent situation for asking: "Why did we want another blanket"?

Overall a very nice hotel! But frankly, corresponds to 3… Furniture as of the 80s) but it is in a separate bungale (luxuriously), the room interior is more modern, but the price is different in 20.000 T. R. But differed at least at the time of our booking, the breakfasts are monotonous and in our opinion not very tasty, but this is probably not the case in the hotel, namely in the Colorite Thai food (soleno-spicy-sweet), in the room annoying but it is in principle for Asia OK) and alas has a place to be… This is the cons… Of the pros: great beautiful grounds, lots of monkeys, rams, squirrels, two nice big pools, cleaning every day, up to 2 most beautiful beaches can be reached on foot (one respectively which is next to the hotel there is better to bathe on the right side * on the left So many stones) well and the main beach Pranang which so love to depict in pictures of Thailand, before it from the pier (princess) to go minutes 7-10 it is from the East Peninsula, from the pier (princess) to the right and finish through the caves but the passage is excellent Reach that Pranga! In the same place on the way to the beach you can visit the lagoon, but not everyone will get there… Well, probably all! ) and more about the hotel for the money that booked we and this 35000 T. R. For 10 days I would have stopped again! The hotel is nice and if you are not confused by the old furniture and varied food! Do not hesitate to book! ) Enjoy all your travels!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. The restaurant has a sea view which makes it even prettier. Very friendly staff. Recommended! The only way to get to the hotel from Krabi is by boat like the one in the Photo.

Came for a short vacation. The beaches and scenery are spectacular with a lot of decent places to eat at a cheap price. Amenities and services are exceptional too and the staff is always ready to help. Be sure to wear lots of sunscreen as the sun is something else here!

This hotel is in the middle of the vegetation, with small individual houses well appointed and large, the 2 pools are very nice, one that overlooks the beach and the other more intimate inside. The breakfast is great, lots of choice and a view of the beach at the top. The welcome is warm is everything is implemented to satisfy you.

It is the best Resort in Raylay, I'm fascinated with the hotel and its beach. The rooms are clean, the tours q will offer very varied and the staff always attentive and with a smile. The hotel stretches from the beach tab to the this one and that is great because it is very comfortable to move around. The eastern beach is not nice but the west is a paradise.

We first were staying at the Railey Village Resort (a similar named hotel next door) and their rooms were gross and moldy. We were luckily able to cancel our reservation and found one last room here. The remaining of our stay at this new hotel was literally PERFECT, thank you for saving the last part out our trip from being horrible. Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms with large windows, a clean hot tub inside the room, and a pristine bathroom. Also all of the rooms are just steps away from the beach. thank you. Cannot recommend more, such an amazing stay.

Attention! Hotel accessible by boat, so if like me you organize your holiday yourself, watch out for airfare! Our flight was at 7am and we had to take a canoe with our baby at 4:30 in the morning. Let's say it's not easy!
Otherwise I denounce the hotel for 2 things!
— Arrived on the beach by canoe, the hotel is on the other side and with the luggage it baby etc we have a little galley to find! I had to leave my wife with the suitcases and took our baby to go see where was the hotel?!

A fries alone it must be 180 bath if I remember correctly what equals €5 not to mention the buffet every Saturday at 999 bath per person! For Thailand a restaurant with more than €50 in a couple for a simplistic buffet I find it a bit expensive!
Here otherwise the area is heavenly again as I advise you to go to the beach on the other side on foot. The one in front of the hotel is not top…
Attention corner filled with mosquitoes! And I know Thailand I know that there are mosquitoes everywhere but this is the corner! Although they are not for nothing!?
Otherwise I am super disappointed with a guy at the reception who offers me to go on the island of Poda just next door for 4000bath.

How thrilling! Loved the hotel. The service is courteous. The order in the room was maintained every day very qualitatively. Linen changed every day. The food was very good and the breakfast was good. To take excursions is cheaper not in hotel. Exchange in the hotel is traditionally more expensive. All the days were hot and sunny weather. The room was clean and stifling. Fruits, smoothies and necks are incredibly tasty!
In cafes take fresh fish and sea reptiles, you will be ready to cook them on the braziers. It is inexpensive and amazingly delicious! Be sure to take Patai! I was satisfied very much! Do not be afraid to buy food from floating boats-fast food. The shrimps and the necks are awesome. The location is excellent. Don't skimp on the transfer. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. Stars, palms, light breeze, cocktails… What else do you need? ) ) ) )

Very nice, inside the jungle, on the beach, accessible only by sea very easily, qualified staff, helpful, friendly, breathtaking views, close contact with the wild nature.

Excellent service, two swimming pool, very friendly staff, you wash the clothes, very helpful, as the only negative comment the signal wiffi is weak and insufficient in some hours of the day… although then it recovers a little bit in the evening, otherwise fully recommended for its situation and its swimming pool with views of the sea.

Location is good for those that stay at the more expensive rooms which are closer to the pool and the West side of Railay. When we arrived, I was happy to see that the hotel was facing the Railay west which is pretty and the east side is actually ugly in my opinion. We went for a walk and then returned to the hotel to check in and after jumping in the golf cart they drove us all the way back to the hotel… Guess what, 1 min from the east side of Railay! The hotel is very large and the location of our room (maybe the less expensive or smaller room) was very poor for a hotel that is supposed to be very well located. Other than that, room was great, breakfast was good and acceptable for this type of hotel, and they did offer us a free cake as it was our anniversary. Good pool facing the ocean, but be sure to arrive really early to secure a sun chair as most people simply take them by placing towels and securing them for the day while they have breakfast. You will be lucky to get one for the day. I wouldn't stay again, specially after we paid more for a hotel that we ended up having the same experience as other cheaper hotel options.

Nunca Mas! Apparently a nice resort in a spectacular location, but room infested with mosquitoes h24hr. We killed a lot of them but it didn't do anything because the door didn't close tightly and the cleaning ladies left the door open while they were doing the rooms. Also every day we found dead all mosquitoes all over the walls.
Impeccable breakfast but for the cost of staying is not enough.

Stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites which offers a private dwelling area and outside jacuzzi. Bed was comfortable but the double bed consisted of two single mattresses. The air conditioning was great and definitely provided a relief from the humidity. An unfortunate downer was the sulphur smell in the bathroom which can be quite unpleasant (we eventually worked out that if we didn't turn on the extractor fan it decreased the smell). A highlight is the buffet breakfast as this is extensive and very good. The restaurant itself is expensive but there are many other more good affordable places to eat close by. Comment on Railay Beach: Very popular destination with a large amount of people. Lots of bars and restaurants with food/goods on the upper end of what you will pay in Thailand. There are two great beaches, with little of the unpleasant stinging sensation you experience on almost all Thai beaches.

Excellent situation in a private bay with beautiful scenery. A really magical first experience in Thailand with a beautiful beach (facing West, breath taking sunset) and energetic atmosphere. The cottages were cute and cozy and most are very close to the beach. I wouldn't recommend booking any bedrooms the other side of the Hotel considering you have to walk past an ugly set of air conditioning machines blowing hot on your face (very uncomfortable). The breakfast was not great, nearby restaurants could probably offer something better. The surrounding area had a variety of choices of restaurants, shops and entertainment that would keep you busy for at least a week. There is also a great amount of activities to do like climbing, kayaking, diving, elephant riding, etc… we had a great time and you probably would too!

Excellent experience. Staff was hospitable and helpful. Rooms were beautiful and clean. Pool was clean, spa was lovely, great dining selection and service. The beach was breathtaking. We went rock climbing and scuba diving as well which were excellent.

Very nice hotel complex, service unreproachable, the price is high for Thailand but corresponds to the average on Railay.

First of all I never leave a review unless it's an exceptionally good experience or extremely bad experience. This resort was the best resort in Railay. We looked at all the places around and this was the nicest and well worth every penny. Access to both sides of the island and short walk between the two. The staff was beyond accommodating. The service was great and our room was wonderful. The island had a lot to offer and I'm embarrassed to say we waiting until the last day to walk around. We booked a tour to Phi Phi Island and it is a must do. We have already started to plan a return visit and a longer stay.

It's a wonderful place. Probably one of the best places we've been. The beach is full of cafes with delicious cuisine. Very nice view of the cliff. The hotel is only accessible from water, traffic no cars, peace and tranquility)

Simply awesome… from the breathtaking scenery to the professional and warm staff to the awesome restaurants. Everything about this place screams come in and don't leave. I was here with my wife for our honeymoon and we loved every nano second of it.

This hotel stretches from West Railay to East Railay. Have a pretty good experience here. Pros: room is big, comfy bed, good amenities, located right in front of Railay beach, pleasant breakfast, helpful staff, near from Phra Nang cave. Sometimes you can see monkeys around. Cons: the room looks a bit old. Needs lighting improvement in room and bathroom because it's still gloomy even if you already switch all the lights on. Overall, it's good but can be improved.

The best location, in first line of beach. The rooms are nice and the pools too. The only negative was the staff on our arrival as well as the. Communication with them before arriving by e-mail to request the transfer from the airport:take to reply to many days and at the end we don't get the service.

Nestled in a wonderful location, with a fantastic. The only thing I did not like was the quality of the breakfast.

Great place! Staff were amazing, even when my other halves phone got wet due to the Heaney rain travelling on the long boat when we checked in they got us a bag of rice and tried to help us with it. Very peaceful. Watch out for the monkeys, lovely to look at but don't leave anything on your balcony they could eat. Once the tourist have left for the day it's even more peaceful, we went in June and it wasn't that busy. Plenty of sun loungers etc but the beach was a stones throw away so wouldn't of been a problem. Would defiantly go back.

When I booked the hotel online it looked a lot better than it did in person. I can't say that anything was completely wrong except that it was out dated, old, and did not feel like it was cleaned/maintenance​ very well. However, for the price that I snagged it at I cannot complain as the views, location, and experience made up for the room. All in all, I would say if you can get it for a deal then stay there to appreciate being cut off from everyone that has to leave in the afternoon because they do not stay there. The beach (s) in the morning/late afternoon were pretty secluded and made for some really awesome photos. Hope this helps!

Railay Bay Resort and Spa was a pretty good stay. Unfortunately they were undergoing a lot of construction at the time so there was a significant amount of ruble and debris throughout the resort. Nice people and nice staff. Clean rooms and decent AC. The resort is situated between many other resorts and the shared beach front is absolutely incredible. Amazing views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs. Highly recommend rock climbing while here.

“Horrible and traumatic stay at "Railay Bay Resort & Spa"” I would never recommend this hotel because the terrible experience I had recently had in it. I had an accident in the bath of our bedroom. I slipped in the bath and broke a glass window (placed next to the bath) with my right elbow suffering from really serious wounds in my right-arm for which I needed surgery (4 wounds with 45 stitches in total, internal and external) and hospitalization for one day. I have been really lucky because it was for less than 1 mm that I have not lost the mobility of my right hand (see attached picture). After suffering this accident, the hotel staff, especially the manager, was so rude with us. The manager even did not ask me about my health and he only wanted me to pay for the broken window and also for the time they cannot book the room. They did not compensate us for such accident that occurred in their facilities and even he said they do not have insurance for such things. So, I had to pay all the medical expenses on my own. I have denounced them to the police in our back to Bangkok, even when I know that it will be really difficult to get something from them. But also, they are currently (July 2017) under refurbishment of some of their facilities (like the lobby) with all the guests walking around with many potential places where accidents can happen (see attached pictures).

Excellent place, said by my husband, the world's best beaches and the rocks are spectacular, which creates a synchrony with vegetation to grandiose, out of the sea as an elephant " great Tai "… The hotel an oriental touch, of good taste, using teak wood everywhere, the sand of the beach is literally powder and the ambience of the place, bars and restaurants are fairly quiet… % recommended … not to comment on the monkeys, birds and endemic fish species!

The hotel is good. It is very large, with many rooms but they overlook various details. They could do a complex, more efficient and with better quality of care for the same space. Good location and views.

I love its location, its quietness and attention! I give it a 5 star because there is no 10. The food is international with very good food and plentiful. Since then it is one of the sites that if some day I come back to railay'll tell you with the.

Have been to 3 hotels on this little Island and I loved this one the best! Amazing value for money, flawless service, 2 different pools (could be some more hidden ones I'm not sure, this place is huge! ).

Nice view and beautiful beach, friendly staff. The big issue I was experience about refund service after making agreement with tour booking service. Until now, I haven't receive any credit payment to my credit card. This was since last year, 2015.

I've read some reviews. I don't know why some people didn't like it. I liked the place. It's little old, but still good for that price. Staffs were friendly, maybe sometimes too friendly kkk. Food was good. The beach is the one of the best place in Thailand. I had hard time with the shower, water either too hot or too cold. Wi-Fi was useless. Maybe because of my room location, not sure but it should be great anywhere in the resort. So I used my own.

It's a good stay at a beautiful please. It may be located at one of the best spots in Railay. Beware though that it is widespread and the rooms can be on any side of the peninsula. The east beach is not a place where you stay on the beach, whereas the west side is gorgeous. Walking from one side to the other is however not a problem. Breakfast offers a wide selection of local and western food. For dining there are better options.

Like the title says, the resort is located in adjacent to one of the most picturesque beaches in the world (though the crowds pretty much ruin it), but the hotel needs a lot of work. Having stayed at numerous beach resorts around Krabi, Phuket, and Samui I believe I have a good understanding of what $110+ a night deserves. I think at one point Railay Beach Resort was a 4-star resort, but after 10-15 years it's not. The room looked dirty, worn, and distressed, as though no money had been invested in the resort for years. The service was decent, prompt and polite for normal things. But when I got food poisoning (or possibly a reaction to being exposed to some toxin at the beach) they refused to allow us a late check-out. So I had to lay on the beach praying I wouldn't be sick again, until my ferry came to get me. The food was also decent. I think I'm over "resort food" so I may be a bit biased. The breakfast options were multiple, but not enough western options. The egg/omelet station only had one burner/cook, so ordering eggs always involved a long wait. Only had lunch at the resort once, and it was fine — not great, not terrible. We ate at the sister resort (Railay Beach Princess Resort) for dinner and it was the same quality. Though, it is the last place we ate before I fell sick… Overall, I think we paid too much for what we got. Next time I'd go someplace else — both the resort and the Railay Beach.

Our trip from the harbor to Railay Beach wasn't pretty. We were dropped of at the harbor by our cab driver in the night. When we bought a ticket we had to carry our suitcases ourself into the water in the dark and walk up to 100 meters to step into the boat. We were wet upon until our bellies. When we asked the boat drivers for help, they first asked 3 times if we would pay them money for it. Of course we will pay them for their help, but the tone of voice was not service minded at all and very rude. Anyways arrived at the hotel, we came to the conclusion there are two harbors. The resort could facilitate a complementary shuttle service (in both harbors, included suitcase carrying) for their guests. And they completely failed by informing their guests properly how to get at the hotel and where they secure their service. Personally I expect this if I stay at a 4 star hotel. During our stay we did not feel any hospitality as well as interest and any form of respect. No smiles, usually last order during dinner is at 9.30 PM, but they will take last orders at 9.10 PM. Everything is rushed. Food is extremely bad and they charge €60, — to €90, — for dinner (based upon 2 people, main course, bottle of wine and water). We had better food on the streets of Bangkok. We also had a massage in the SPA. Massage was okay, unfortunately the place not like a SPA feeling. It more felt like I was backpacking again and went for a massage on the streets for €5, —.

We booked through Agoda as they had a good deal. I guess this is the reason we got lousy service and a room (privacy cottage) that would be classified as 2 star. The front desk wasn't the friendliest and the breakfast was awful! Next time would definitely go to a different hotel on the beach. Considering that this is the low season and hotels are trying to get people to stay with them, this was one place that doesn't seem to care.

Excellent place isolated by rocks. The only way to get there is to take a speedboat. Let's go to sunbathe and enjoy the beach.

Quite ok, as Miss old Thailand traveller I original unfortunately no longer much there is only that of. I mean in all FarangThailand.

When you see the first time such beauty Beach, it is as if greeting card.
I advise everyone to visit this place, you can only get there by boat, a real pleasure to live there, and if you want to select is selected in the city.

Superb location, and the privacy cottages are really lovely, as are the hotel grounds. Complimentry fruit baskets are provided daily and the housekeeping standards are good. Unfortunately, the service at the restaurant and bar is completely hopeless, and the drinks are not even cold — the temperature read-out on the bar fridge is consistently at 14-15C. We originally had a room at the eastern end of the property and after one night had to ask to be moved. The eastern beach is an unbearably smelly mangrove swamp, and the noise from the neighbouring hotel's restaurant and passers-by on the east-west pathway made sleeping or even relaxing in our room impossible. After complaining (and paying extra to upgrade to a better room), our stay was pleasant, apart from the aforementioned service issues. I have to mention that the neighbouring restaurants were no better — service is incredibly slow, we often had to ask for cutlery, or glasses for our drinks, etc. Food was disappointing. After having enjoyed some fine Thai food in Bangkok and Chiang Mai and even in our home town of Melbourne, we expected better. The Western style food was fairly ordinary too. The location and beautiful beaches made it worth visiting, but we won't be returning.

I got a spa villa suit but had a restricted time for hot water supply.

Not a real italian restaurant, maybe good for non italian people. I had a pizza, they put coriander on it.
