An absolutely fabulous hotel and resort. We enjoyed Christmas Day and another excellent 6 nights in this hotel. Fantastic food, service and cleanliness. The hotel is really well equipped, the staff are super attentive (their English is perfect) but most of all, it was the most relaxing week in beautiful surroundings. We also did lots of day trips (through both TUI and the hotel) and they were fantastic. We’ve now transferred to another area in a new resort and quite frankly, there is no comparison. I really wish we had stayed there for another week! Many thanks for such a wonderful stay and we hope to be back there again at some point soon.

This is our 4th visit to the Sofitel in Krabi and the welcome gets better every time. It feels like we are part of the family. I highly recommend this hotel to couples and families. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful place to stay with kids and family. All staff are very nice especially Khun Pad and Khun NamAoy at Concierge are very helpful staff and very friendly ka.

The whole property is huge and amazingly beautiful. It has multiple restaurants and regular shuttles to town. Our room had an awesome view. The staff won my heart especially the kid zone staff, uri, and preaw. My kid had a blast and so did we. Want to go back already. Special thanks to Mr. Mobeen for making our stay so memorable and taken cared for. Thank you for your wonderful service.

A spacious hotel with huge swimming pool and garden (that comes with hammocks! ). We enjoyed our stay here but it’s quite far drive to go to the city (and by ‘city’ I mean Ai Nang where all the restaurants are. The service was good, the property was beautiful but it is not on the beach — there is a small road between the hotel and the beach which is why I didn’t give 5 stars to this place.

Great place for a family holiday and for those who enjoy the pool more than the beach. Beach is less than average and unfortunately littered with glas and plastic most of the time. Bars and restaurants on the beach front (5-10 min. Walk along the beach) are a must if you want to enjoy a good sun downer and dinner by the beach with partially good local food.

Really a very good place to stay at Krabi, Thailand. We enjoyed their unparralel hospitality, are very courteous and always smiling and helpful. Lot of varieties to eat. Rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped with basic amenities. Visited this resort on 5 th of July to 8 th of July 2018 We will highly recommend.

Resort is in the best place… Good place for couples… Complete silent place with awesome view… Big property… Good welcome by the team… Breakfast was very very good… 1 star less because room ac was inefficient… They came twice to rectify but engineer were unaware of the rectification process…

Great food, friendly and extremely attentive staff, a lot activities for children and adults. Superb pool with a great bar. Place is really impressive with all the wood though a bit old but everything works well and is in good shape, especially the air con in the room. Place is huge so we got lost once even though it is our second stay. Fitness Center is top notch latest machines available. Lightning in room is a bit odd, too many lamps that need switched on and off individually.

I have been 2 times in sofitel. I ever seen the size of pool. I loved this and I want to go again again there. All staff are very cooperative and very beautiful dinning.

Beautiful resort in quiet location to get away from it all. Fantastic pool — largest in Thailand — with plenty of loungers, swim up bar and adults only area. Grounds and hotel well cared for and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Room was large and equipped with everything you could need. Restaurant and room service food were great. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious. Happy hour at the bar comes with free bar snacks — brilliant! Short 10 minute walk up the road to restaurants, massage spas, etc — recommend Mums cafe — best chicken green curry I’ve ever had! Shuttle into Ao Nang was great for a change of scene and easy to use. We felt well cared for at the Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Resort and would definitely stay again.

We have just returned from our stay at the hotel. The hotel is very beautiful, very clean and the food for breakfast is amazing. They have a great choice of fresh fruit and juices as well as a great variety of food from toast and cereal to sushi. We used the trips provided by the hotel which were really worth the price! We booked it with Al who was always kind and helpful and organised great trips for us even when we decided to go at the last ninute! I strongly recommend the Hong island trip and the rainforest trip where you get to swim in the emerald pool, hot water springs and see the Tiger Temple. We had an amazing tour guide for our rainforest trip — Pat, who is also a leisure concierge at the hotel. She has made our trip truly unique! She taught us a lot about the Thai culture, food and many other things. She was simply great! We stayed at the hotel as a family of 4, 3 adults and 1 child (9 year old girl). The swimming pool is huge and during the day you have some competitions with prices. The hotel has a separate area in the swimming pool for children and they also have a Friday evening frozen show. Everyone at the hotel is really friendly and helpful. I would really recommend staying in this resort when in Thailand — we will definitely be returning. The beach owned by the hotel is always clean and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to town and back. We didn't eat in the Italian restaurant, but we did go to the Thai/Indian restaurant a few times.

Very nice hotel, with a smiling staff, a huge pool. The breakfasts are "majestic", but be careful at the prices in the restaurants of the hotel (on average 100 €/family of 4 persons). However, you can eat very well in several small restaurants located 500m to 1km from the hotel.

Awesome, expensive, grand and peaceful property but quite far away from central town attractions though good thing is the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from main Aonang town every two hours which is a relief. Staff is friendly and cooperative, namely a girl named Game was helpful and polite. PS I personally fell in love with the shower gel fragrance that they provide in wash rooms.

Fantastic staff and amazing hotel. The pool is so big and relaxing with a separate children's area — which is great. Could be a little bit more vegetarian friendly — especially for the lunch buffet — which is quite expensive. White wine by the glass was not cheap and pretty ordinary for the price.

The breakfast is the hammer, besides the freshly prepared dishes such as waffles, crepes and eggs in any form of preparation there are plenty of highlights.

Good area with beautiful views and a pool which is very wide, the water is very well tempered and is a blast, the bad thing in my opinion is the beach quite ugly and not very suitable for swimming because at low tide you see a lot of stone and a little water for a swim.

Great pool, breakfast is also good, although far from the city, but the holiday is not a clean?

We spent 2 weeks at Sofitel. We had a great stay but feel like the advertised 4+ star experience lacks that little extra that you would expect. Pros + A lot of activities for the whole family arranged by the hotel. + The variety of options at the breakfast + Huge pool and pool area. We never had problems getting a sun bed. + When the tide is right the hotel beach is great! And not crowded. Cons — There is no structure in how the housekeeping is handled. Sometimes they come early in the morning and sometimes not at all. We needed to ask housekeeping to get our room cleaned several times during our stay. This due to that it wasn't done at all. Traveling with a small child this became quite annoying. You would expect a lot more of a 4+ star hotel. — Dining at the hotel was very disappointing (except for the breakfast). The Thai food was probably the worst we had in Thailand and all dining is super expensive. Not only compared to the local restaurants but also comparing it to another 4+ star hotel we stayed in the week before. There are so many nice restaurants only a 10 min walk away. My recommendation is to go there instead. — Even though the breakfast is great and the variety of options is one of the best I have seen. They had problems running out of a lot of things, a couple of times during our stay. That may of course happen. But the problem was when it happened there was no structure in place to fix it. So some mornings we got a quite bad breakfast experience.

Great services and rooms. Though for some reason we could not have good sleep in the 3 nights we stayed. Shuttle service is good for city. Swimming pool is the highlight of this place.

Superbly helpful staff and amazing infinity pool. Cheap transit required to get back and forth to Krabi. Expensive, but the hotel powerboat is definitely the way to check out the islands. Breakfast buffet is extensive and excellent. And most importantly, the French press conference coffee is first rate.

This is a high end resort and golf course. It is very large with beautiful grounds and rooms. There is a choice of restaurants with entertainment nightly for children and adults. The catering is superb. There is a huge pool and the hotel is also on a beach. It has its own boat and tours are offered. This is also a wonderful venue for functions and many are held here. A very comfortable place to stay!

Locate in private area. So calm and quiet. Great for relaxing. Have a huge pool. Welcome drink and welcome fruit is so nice. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They have free shuttle to Aonang beach and to Krabi city depart every 2 hours.

Excellent report for a perfect relax and not far from the nearby Ao Nang for shopping and several places to taste local cuisine and not. Service very good room perfect cleaning.

It's a beautiful property at a very good location. The staff is very good and caring. Especially at the restaurant Mai, Kai and Tai all 3 are so friendly. We loved the hospitality and even a girl at the reception desk, she was very helpful. Don't remember her name now. Overall a good time we had.

Hotel resort of the best, superb service, all very friendly and attentive. Huge pool, 6 restaurants (one of them on the swimming pool). They take you to the village by car and they pick you up for free. We appreciated the tranquility and the beach is 3 meters. Spacious rooms with terrace, bath and separate shower, hairdryer and iron. We have been very satisfied especially with the staff of the restaurant Maya.

An exceptional welcome in this high level hotel. The room as well as the environment (fabulous pool) are of absolute cleanliness. The Thai staff is commendable.

It's a beautiful hotel! The best in all of Thailand! all in the restaurant Venice and White Lotus.

It is a very large hotel, that was fortunately pretty empty when we stayed — at busy times I think it would be unpleasant. Staff were 'fine' but not overwhelming. Breakfast restaurant staff were much better — helpful, friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was lovely and large with a lovely large (though quite hard) bed. Pool was nice, but at height of season would be very busy with the sunbeds all round. Road traffic could be heard pool side, and it was a quiet time of year. All the add on services at the hotel were very expensive. Gym was good w new equipment. Decor of hotel 'fine' not especially great, Very much a resort hotel withe average standard decor.

We stayed for 9 nights with our son and his wife in 2 executive rooms. The staff were very friendly and most helpful especially those in the club lounge. The breakfasts offered a large variety of good food and the dinners we had in both Venezia and White Lotus were wonderful. The room was large and well furnished and the beds comfortable.

The attention to detail in addition to the high quality of any product present in the resort is probably the strong point. The staff are always available, except on an emergency occasion where they could have done more, the vote is not higher for that reason.

We spent three nights in this great hotel. Certainly it is a bit far away but everything is done so that nothing is missing.
The breakfast is delicious, the pool surreal and several activities are offered.

I love the amazing huge pool but pity the waters is kind of warm when it hits 12 noon — 4 pm. Love the quiet area designated for adults at pool. All the staff are polite, friendly and attentive. I was disappointed a bit that the restaurants in hotel do not serve more extensive thai cuisine. My room air con is not as cold although I turn down to 5c.

Our week at Sofitel Krabi was terrific. The hotel is large but very well laid out with beautiful tropical gardens and generously sized rooms with great views. The pool did not disappoint — its huge! There are plenty of spots to hang out if you want to lie quietly and read (or nap! ), lots of room to swim and a swim up bar which makes very tasty cocktails. We tried all 4 restaurants more than once and were never disappointed. The food was incredible! There are plenty of activities on offer both through the hotel and around the area itself as well as golf right at the hotel. In our opinion, the thing that makes Sofitel Krabi exceptional and a stand out hotel in an area where there are many accommodation options is its staff. They are friendly, professional, incredibly helpful and they honestly go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome.

Struggling 4 star hotel. In comparison to other hotels in the area I would say it's 5 stars. On an international level I would barely give it 4. If you walk the property and grounds and you will see many areas of the property poorly maintained or in need of repairs maintenance. If the hotel was given a full refresh and other improvement it has potential to be a five star grounds. On service the staff are wonderful. The staff is wonderfully polite, respectful, even playful. The wait staff is trying but some don't understand etiquette or service I would expect from a chain restaurant in states working for tips. Food. Breakfast and prepared food is generally very good. I tried several mixed drinks and they were poor at best.

It was a very nice Hotel.
Our room was very well equipped and we had a great stay.
No doubt we will return.

Staff very welcoming and available — we very much appreciated that Mr. Hugo Gaillard made himself available to settle some details, our spoken English not being up to par. He made sure to solve some shadow points between the travel agency and the hotel. It has more been good advice for tourist points to visit. An excellent professional!

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. I commend the welcome and the availability of the staff.
The big downside for me is the fact that the hotel is really out of the city, no life around. 3 days M was enough with two children.
The beach is not beautiful.

We were now in may 2016 guests at the Sofitel and I can say we have not regretted the stay! The rooms were perfect, the service staff at the reception, at the poll, selbbst in the hotel, just awesome.
The pool is so gorgeous! Us was so good every wish was fulfilled. Fürs weather they could but nothing. We had much rain days and still it was us not boring in the hotel. The breakfast was great, the food in the restaurant read left nothing to be desired and the cleanliness was not excessive for this luxury hotel and totally affordable. The managers themselves were present every day and kept contact with the guests. We felt like at home. I would give six stars. Our recommendation!

I got a warm welcome from the hotel, the room was nice. I went there in early Jun'16, it was such a lovely stay even though the pool was closed for maintenance (Too bad I didn't experience the biggest pool in TH, they closed the main pool but the other side still open) but they put me on a perfect room with the view to the other pool and beautiful hill. I was staying for two nights, unfortunately on day two I got sick (a stomach problem caused by foods from the street) then I asked a help from the lobby and they were taking care of me well, they provide medicines (free of charge) and they made a consultation with the nurse of the house to give the best treatment for me. Thank you for the front desk team! (on sat noon Sat Jun 4th) I had the chance to tried the restaurants with my colleagues, we had Italian dinner, the food was amazing and love their pasta! so fresh and so delicious! the dessert was great as well I will recommended this hotel for you, they arranged the island tour as well for my company and everything was spectacular!

Dear the management, Your hotel is quite good, not only the tranquil environment, calm and peaceful sea, nice-clean big swimming pool, but also friendly staffs and terrific services. I Enjoy staying there. Hopefully I will have a chance to come back again. I have some suggestions that may help you to improve your service. Firstly, it will be very nice if you could provide "CHILD-free zone"at the breakfast area, I notice that not only me but many guests are annoying with crying, screaming, lound noise. It's will be wonderful to have breakfast peasantly while spending our holidays. Secondly, I think the lunch buffet is not in good quality. It is very obvious that many food available there are come from the morning breakfast. The breakfast buffet is good, I enjoy it. I hope my suggestions are useful and do hope to see this improvement in my next stay. Thank you.

Very friendly staff, especially LIckit and Montree at the pool-bar, a big thank for them! The menu at the pool-bar (Koh Poda) was very limited and the portions really too small! Half the time many of the items on the menu were not available at all, e. G. Peperoni pizza, avocado or lemon ice cream. Pasta carbonara was served without any ham/bacon several times and sometimes just with some fat instead of meat. Often difficult to get meals or drinks served at the poolside as it was hard to get the attention of the waiters. We were not greeted with any cold towels or welcome drink upon arrival. Spa was nice but really over-priced. The pool area tiles should be of lighter color in order to avoid getting your feet burned. All the guests were complaining about this. Lady who checked us out and finished our bill was extremely nice and spoke excellent English! There was mold on the ceiling of our bathroom.

It could have been 10 if the lizards in he room had been cleared by the room cleaning staff. That was the blu negative but a big sore point with my wife and son who both didn't sleep one whole night ether the lizards clucking. In all other ways a great great stay, beautiful.

Quality and entire facilities not deserve its price. Old property and lousy food. I informed at the front for late check out at 1 pm but they locked my room since noon time and it's pretty far walking back to the front because the property quite large. Grumpy face of sales person, bad telesales answering. Not recommend only they discount their price on half I would.

Awesome Hotel. 1. Very big pool enjoyed a lot. 2. Hospitality is awesome. 3. Very clean hotel. 4. They help to rent bike/car so we can easly go to beaches. 5. Excellent ambiance. Although they keep 6000 bhat as security and returned at the time of checkout. So everything was awesome there.

A four-star Hotel Facilities, Super five-star hotel services, it's great. In addition, the hotel swimming pool, super large, should be the biggest local hotel!

Lovely hotel but very isolated. Enjoyed the largest pool in Thailand and British Colonial styled design.

Very disappointed! It was a nightmare since they just DELETED my reservation from the system! I have made a reservation online and checked with the hotel via phone the next day. I wanted to make sure my reservation was all set and good to go before I booked the flight tickets. When I called the hotel they told me that it was all set and notified me the confirmation numbers. I double checked with the hotel several times during the call if it is all good to go and they said yes. So I booked my flight. Few days later they notified me that the hotel is fully booked and cannot accept me and my parents. I called them immediately but they were very arrogant, just saying that their hotel is fully booked. I told them that I've already received the confirmation number, but they just asked me "who gave you the confirmation number? " again and again in a very unprofessional, rude manner. The hotel ruined my entire vacation schedule, and left a very bad experience with the entire Sofitel brand. I would never consider staying with them ever.

Near the hotel is not good, so desolate, far away from the town. Far away from the airport and hotel pick up. No buses. Ao Nang Beach to take a taxi to 500B. Go to the airport to 800B.

The pool is awesome. The breakfast has variety of food, but expect more choices of pancakes. The hotel is located near the beach, only a small road in the middle, but not that clear and nice. Also hard to find anything to eat if you dont have transportation.

Great pool excellent location amazing staff.

We stayed at The Hotel Sofitel for 4 days, compared to the other places we have stayed during our 3 weeks in Thailand it stands out in many ways. The service, staff and grounds we beyond great, and the room we stayed in was good. The restaurant is great having 3 menus, Italian, Thai and Indian. The day trip we took was great. The staff are very attentive, it was hard having breakfast at our next hotel and not having people asking right away for coffee and tea, or basically helping us in every way. The restaurant even gave us a bowl or dry rice to try to salvage a camera that got wet. Its a pricey place but its so worth the money. The pool is huge and gorgeous, the only disappointments are there are no dinner options within walking distance and the beach in front of the hotel isn't that nice.
