Originally booked here for 4 nights but checked out after one, not as a result of anything the hotel had done though, it was Ao Nang that I did not like, it was nothing like how I had imagined it would be from my research. The hotel is very modern, white tiles in communal areas and in the rooms, almost minimalist but probably not quite. I liked my room, it matched with what I booked, good size, and a balcony with a partial sea view and overlooking the pool. The hotel has a good position in the town and is directly opposite the beach. Now the downsides, the rain shower head in my room needed to be cleaned as the water went in all directions and the pressure was quite weak. The air con unit worked well but was very noisy and there seemed no way to adjust it despite the remote control. The walls in this hotel are not that thick so you can hear noise from adjoining rooms. You can also hear noise from the bar/nightclub that is very nearby until about 03:30 in the morning (that may well be later in peak season! ) Due to my quick stay I did not have time to address these with the hotel. The restaurant that is adjacent to the hotel that they use for breakfast, lunch and dinner is called Wanna's Place (in my view it should be called "Whata Place"). I went here for lunch on the day I checked in, the staff looked quite shocked, almost horrified, when I said could I have lunch! Breakfast the next day was not much better, I walked in at 08:30 and I was the only person there. It was typical buffet, albeit on a small scale, but the whole time I felt I was being watched by the 3 people on duty. If your staying at the hotel it's 100% help yourself. It is open to the public at a cost hence the need for staff. It's an okay hotel, there clearly are or have been some issues, as you walk from the lift to reception the ceiling shows some serious signs of a water leakage problem, there is also a bit of a unpleasant smell too in this area from the toilets and the cleaners constantly seem to be mopping the floor and there are towels by the front door and by the pool entrance. For me it's an okay hotel in a very touristy Ao Nang, where almost every other shop or bar or restaurant had people on the street trying to "encourage" you to go in… if they need that then the place probably isn't that good to start with and best avoided.
