The Dearly Koh Tao Hostel-PADI 5 Star Dive Resort Hostel

First time in KOHTAO, and found a great gem here. The accommodation is very good no the best ever found. Very warm welcome with the staff especially K. Jee the front desk. The dive instructor also very nice and very kind, K. Moo. Pleas come and stay here.

I've been for 3 times already, and it has never disappointed. — it's a new building & very clean — great staff, very polite and very cool — sweet pool — great common place where I made countless friends — sweet sweet breakfast Only 'disadvantage' is the higher price. But just look at what you get for it! It's not a hostel with drunken people throwing up, but where I slept & ate well, was always helped & made great friends over some beers.

One of my favorite hostels after years of traveling the world. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and fun! The hostel itself is very well designed. Bedrooms are nice with good ac. The bathrooms and showers are great. Everything is cleaned daily and kept it tip top shape. The lounge areas are comfortable and great for connecting with other guests. There's even a pool table! The swimming pool is behind the hostel and is large and beautiful. The value you get at Dearly is more than worth it. There's a free breakfast every morning and they organize beach crawls and activities every week. The kitchen cooks delicious food and is the same price as eating out at other restaurants around the island. Don't miss it if you're coming to Koh Tao!

Best Hostel In All Of Asia I have been traveling throughout Asia for 8 months and The Dearly is the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The quality that most makes The Dearly stand out from it’s competition is the people. The staff is absolutely incredible. They are so kind and helpful and truly want to be your friend. I ended up hanging out with the staff even more than any of the guests! The facilities are also fantastic. This is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at, the rooms are nicer than most hotels. There is plenty of common space where you can meet travelers that are willing to travel a bit off the beaten path from the Sairee area which makes for interesting company and a bit more of a relaxed vibe (although there is as much fun as you would like available). The pool was a great surprise as well. Really beautifully designed up on the hill behind the building. The hostel is a 10 minute walk from the best beaches on the island (more secluded beaches on the south side which are both more beautiful and emptier than Sairee). I could not recommend The Dearly any more, you have to check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

The heart of the 1 year old hostel is definitely the staff. They are very lovely & helpful all the time! The rooms are very clean and looks well designed. Wifi is working everywhere very good. I can highly recommend the hostel on Koh Tao, it is good located also for the ones who don‘t go by scooter around. The beautiful Freedom Beach is only 20-25 minutes away by walking. Good restaurants & 7/11 are near by. The food, especially Pad Thai & Sweet Potato, is delicious. I have stayed 8 nights and I am sad to leave. Big thank you to the staff; you are great and did a fantastic job! George & his wife, the owner is also a lovely host and can be very proud of you & your work! Thanks again.

By far the nicest hostel I stayed in throughout my travels so far. I stayed in a bed mixed dorm. The beds are comfy and big, the rooms are huge, there is a locker for your backpack beneath the bed. Every room has a balcony where you can dry your beach towel and bikini. The bathrooms are separate from the bedrooms, with four showers and four toilets per gender per floor. I especially enjoyed the common room on the third floor with its great balcony. There’s a pool, a terrace, the breakfast is good and they have tasty lunch and dinner options. I loved the pineapple fried rice! They have snorkeling equipment for free on a first come basis. Chalok beach is 5-10 minutes by foot and on the way is a 7 Eleven, many restaurants, small shops and even a bookstore!

I had such a wonderful time at the Dearly Hostel. The accommodations and facilities were EXCELLENT and I can honestly say that it was one of the top hostels I have ever stayed at. I feel the best parts of the place were the staff and the people you meet. The staff put on an awesome Christmas and New Year's celebration and that truly meant a lot considering it made me feel somewhat at home for the holidays. The location is perfect as well because it's away from the hustle and bustle of Sairee Beach (which I wanted) and also close to many food, dive, and yoga options. I will definitely be coming up back someday. Thanks Dearly!

Can't recommend this hostel enough. It's beautiful, clean, well kept and the staff are amazing! They truly make it a great experience and they made me feel like family during my stay while doing my dive course. It's close to everything you could need and a short ride/walk to town if you want some nightlife. And when their newly built pool opens next month, it will be an unbeatable place. Booking online was easy, the staff are helpful and speak pretty good English.

This hostel has everything you are looking for and more. Starting with their free the breakfast buffet is great (fried rice, fruits and tost with yummy jam) and the terrace is beautiful surrounded by exotic plants.
Every 2 weeks they have a beach crawl going to two different beaches and a viewing point. The beds are comfortable and they make your bed every day. Bathrooms are clean and women baths are separated from men. In fact every floor has their own bathrooms.
I have stayed in the female 6 dorm and made great ladies I hold very close to my heart.
They also have their own taxi that leaves at fixed times and the rate is good.
They just finished building the pool and the owner let us in as first timers which was very nice of him.
Their rooftop is gorgeous as well to view sunsets or sunrises.
The staff their is great and they are very helpful if you need anything.
You don't want to miss this unique hostel, which has so much to offer.
