I just completed my open water scuba diving course at the Seashell diving resort with Thomas Egedius as my instructor and I can’t tell you how fortunate I feel for this opportunity. Thomas is so experienced and passionate about diving that it just perked my enthusiasm and curiosity even more. He’s everything you would want in an instructor.
Clear, knowledgeable, patient, passionate, encouraging, fun, and truly cares. There are a lot of bigger names in diving resorts here on Koh Tao, but because of Thomas, Seashell resort truly gave me a great experience with knowledge and passion to pursue diving.

The introduction to diving at Seashell Divers is excellent. The staff are very friendly in addition to making us feel confident for our first time underwater. Oceane was able to offer us this service in French which made the experience even more enjoyable!

After 10 days in the sea shell, I can say that they have had quick solutions to all the problems we have been able to have during the trip. The rooms are amazing, and we have been treated excellently. The breakfast offered by the hotel is ok, although if you spend so many days it can be a bit heavy. It is 5 minutes from the port by motorbike and about 20 walk along the promenade. The views are for me, the best of the resort, with greenery and the beach just 100 meters away.

Not as in the pictures. No preasure and hot water in the shower Breakfast very poor Towels are old and dirty. The bongowles are very old not recomended in any price. ANTS ALL AROUND Very Low light in the rooms almost dark.

Just across from the beach and near the shops. Only stayed 2 nights so didn't get to use the pool as out on day trips. The room was very dark and I ended up with many bites after the first night. The water pressure in the shower and sink was terrible. Staff were friendly and a pretty setting though.

Beautiful place with all the amenities you'd expect from a resort. Warm pool and jacuzzi with a cafe and plenty of restaurants nearby. Quaint, well decorated rooms with plenty of space and a little balcony. Would definitely come again. Loved it!

Lovely staff in the hotel. Great location in Koh Tao near everything. Room itself had a beautiful 4 poster bed but a smell of damp or mould. Do not keep any food in your room as it will be demolished by ants. Breakfast could have been better if they kept the food covered better as unfortunately the insects will probably get to it before you do. The view from the restaurant is however breathtaking.

Nice place with pool. Very good breakfast! You can not swim on that beach.

Here is my honest review. We stay in average prices hotels in Thailand (30-70$ USD). And I know you get what you pay for. I know bad reviews are out there for everywhere but I should have listened to the bad ones for Seashell Resort! DO NOT STAY HERE. We regret it. Here’s all the points: -They want 2000baht or your passport for deposit for the key upon arrival. Standard sometimes but they were very forward about it. —YOU LITERALLY CANNOT LOWER THE AIR CONDITIONING LOWER THAN 22 DEGREES— -trick around this is to pay 200baht for an extra key card, put that in the holder in your room and run the AC 24hours a day. That way your room will stay cool. It is my right to cool my room as much as I’d like, don’t tell me what to do. -BREAKFAST IS HORRIBLE -again, breakfast is not worth it. You’ll think, “but it’s included so it can’t be that bad”. It is disgusting. Flies and ants on all the food, hair in the tongs and plates. Employees sitting on their phones doing nothing (see picture) -DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT AT ALL -the food for breakfast is put out at 7am and not replenished at all -overall the selection is typical Thai but no custom eggs. The fruit is not good. Butter is gross and melted. -we had no hot water in our room for the first 2 days. They said “it was broken but was going to be fixed tonight” Ya okay, you just turned it off to save money. They “fixed” it a day later.

To the top. Quiet when you wish it close to the sea and the feast. Nice pool. Staff smiling and helpful as well at the hotel in the restaurant and diving. A big thank you to all.

When we arrived at the island of Koh Tao, we had reservation at another hotel. The room did not have hot water despite being advertised on the page. We asked to change. Paying the UP grade. We stayed one night and in the day with the group we went to snorkel from Pura Vida (excellent), we were recommended the SEASHELL. We immediately changed. The location is the best. The spacious rooms, with everything to be comfortable, have two pools, we had breakfast looking at the sea. All the food places and stuff are in the center. So at night is safe and we can after touring other islands and/or snorkeling, have fun. I recommend this hotel. Your advertising on the Web is true. And we're checking and enjoying it.

Nice clean hotel in a good location. Friendly helpful staff also. Restaurant is on the beachfront and perfect for watching sunsets. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from also along the small beach road.

Really pretty grounds with fish ponds and cats. The room had a balcony and staff was helpful. Comes with breakfast buffet. I would suggest asking for a second floor room. There are also cabanas but I think they don't have access. There were several ppl staying in the cabanas they seemed happy.

Rude persons on the reception that argue with you for no reason (name: Kuna). Service seems to be a foreign word here. Be careful they will charge you in advance no matter if electricity or Wi-Fi are working. Can t say anything about the food yet, but your mood might drop at the first minute you are arriving and checking in. I d rather have a low class hotel with workers that have manners. Sorry!

If you want something cheap it's fine. We thought it would be a better option, but not at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they tried to get a boat that they could use. The super comfy bed, the only good thing. The room was clean and the shower was very bad. I don't recommend it.

I spent 4 nights in it place and I had no inconvenience. The staff were very helpful. It was lacking maintenance in pool and restaurant and would be a 5.

Nice clean spacious rooms and friendly staff. Beautiful beach access and infinity pool. Good restaurant with great food and money exchange in lobby. Wi-Fi works very well with access all over the grounds including the beach. Scuba lessons on site as well. Great location central to everything you could need or think of just walking distance away for the most part and easy to arrange various transportation and activites right at the front desk. Had a great time here and really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed 13 nights in a tiny, cozy and neat fan bungalow. We booked directly on site and only paid 850 baht per night for two people including breakfast. The staff was very friendly, the resort was well maintained. We had a beautiful time.

My second trip to Thailand was not going well and I swore I'd never go back but this was the last stop on my trip and changed my mind entirely. It's a stunning place with lovely accommodation and a fantastic place to chill out. Multiple pool areas, bars, restaurants and a small tourist village. Lots of water based activities and tours along with a little beach if you just want to relax and get a but of sun. Would happily stay there for a month if I could. Can be a bad spot for mosquitoes though, so be prepared.

Resort would be good, but a series of things brings evaluation lower. My Room was big and beauty. Big an good bed, big toilet with big shower area. But WC works bad forcing you to discharge three times each time you use it, the TV is still cathodic tube, but the problem is that have only 5 channels. Unuseful. Wifi is frstupidee but with a 80% of out of service time. Finally the locking system of room, that should be smart, don't allows you to close door without the key card. So if you go outside for smoking, you are forced to shut down electricity to your room or letting the door open. All that stuff culo be fixed easily, so the general impression is still good. But until not fixed, I cannot raise my valuation.

Cottage is cozy, cool and moderate price. Crazy the Lotus bar is next. Nonetheless it is not noisy.

It was nice enough. Shower could do with a good clean. Air-con and Wi-Fi were good but TV didnt work. Decent breakfast and good location. 2 single beds pushed together but without the mattress joiner so was a little awkward. But clean sheets and towels. Not good, not bad, but def average.

Lots of cats and dogs when you eat breakfast, the AC and hot showers are very weak. Only good thing is Jacuzzi here.

Just had lunch here, food is good, service is average! Right on the beach. The view is nice. Service could be better, I ordered something for all of us at the table and it never arrived but was on the bill. They apologised and corrected it but expected more.

We stayed here for 2 nights during new year. It is very good location. Next to the most famous bar on sai ree beach, Lotus. It is also near walking street and convenient stores. However, we had good sleep, no noise trouble. The hotel staffs are really nice They let us made early check in at 7.00 am.

Perfect spot to catch the sunset on the island of Koh Tao but the food is okay. So maybe have a round of cocktails and some snacks from 6-7.

I stayed here in a bungalow while doing my open water divers license. It was amazing. My bungalow was the cheapest option available, but it was clean, quiet and equipped with a fan which is all I needed (I saw some of the nicer rooms and they looked great, so there's something for everyone here). In addition to my room, my diving lessons were awesome. I was on Ko Tao during low season, so I was the only one doing a course at the time. My diving instructor Billy was the bomb — I felt safe diving with him at all times and really enjoyed the experience. Thank you Billy and thank you Seashell!
