Review of Harbor Hostel

I wouldn’t recommend this school cause they lack the ethics of receiving students more than their capacity. They miss to provide enough equipment and had an inadequate number of teachers. Also, their management was bad. On the first day, we had to wait for almost 2 hrs till we get a teacher. Moreover, a student in our group had to use the not-full air tank cus they didn’t have enough full tanks for everyone. As you can see in the picture, one pool was shared by several groups as well. On the second day, they missed including us in the picking up from the hotel. On the third day, they picked us up on the boat at 5 am but they still MISSED to bring our equipment there and we had to wait almost 30 mins for them to be delivered. The most important thing that made me not happy is before I go to Koh Tao, I asked to I need to prepare anything, they said I only have to bring my normal swimsuit because they would provide all equipment. However, in reality, they didn’t offer a wetsuit, didn't even ask if we have a full-body swimsuit and do we want a wetsuit. This made me experience the quite severe sunburn and wounds from BC Jacket scratching. The only PRO of this school is the teacher, Carmen, she is amazing and tried to push me to dive and gave me many tips and knowledge about diving. Hence, for anyone who is reading and considering taking a course with this school. I suggest you avoid this school if you plan to study on Thai holidays/peak season. On the weekday/ normal weekend, I believe it should be fine.
