Kate and Hasu is a cute hotel. The bathroom is quite small but it’s very clean. The staff is absolutely amazing. They start the day with us during breakfast with a morning chitchat and give us a warm welcome back to the hotel in the night. We stayed here for 5 days and we will absolutely recommend this hotel!

Stayed there while on a trip with 3 other friends and it was great! Clean, good service, and nice breakfast. Would recommend to others.

Ked, Saint & Team are the most thoughtful, helpful, kind and attentive people. This beautiful hotel atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. Their breakfast was so delicious that I could not wait to wake up each morning. I am looking forward to my next visit to Chiang Mai so I can stay here again.

This place is so quaint and cozy. The breakfast is awesome and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are well kept and clean, but be aware, they are not very large. That's the only real con. I almost gave 4 stars over the size of the room. It's not much more than a bed and a small desk. The bathroom is a sink with no countertop space and a toilet that is practically inside the shower area. On the bright side, the bed is one of the most comfortable my wife and I have slept in in Thailand. All things said, if you basically expect your hotel to be a comfortable place to crash, you will love it. If you occasionally enjoy just lazing around your hotel room or taking long showers, you might be disappointed here.

Rooms are very small, great for 1 person or a couple. 2 friends or more than 2 people should get their own room. Service is excellent. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The hotel is small so even after a day you feel like friends with the staff. The complimentary breakfast is huge. Not a buffet, but a choice of western or Thai entrees. Breakfast takes time to arrive, but it's worth the wait.

What a wonderful stay! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helped us easily navigate Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to every morning. Rooms were small but clean and well kept. Very happy to have found and stayed at Kate and Hasu.

We stopped here for 2 nights in May and we loved it. We had arrived at the hotel a few hours before check in and the hotel staff where very friendly and welcoming. They brought us a drink each and took care of our luggage. As we where early the room wasn’t ready for us but the staff printed out a map for us and showed us where to go to catch a few sights in the city before check in. They also showed us a few excursions for elephant sanctuary’s and Doi Suthep, both of which I would definitely recommend taking them up on. The room was a little small as some of the other reviews have stated but they are finished to a good high standard, and they’ve really made use of the space so it’s not a problem. The breakfasts in the morning are served in the lobby area near the pool and they are fantastic. You get the choice of a few different meals, with enough variety to satisfy most tastes, and they are all served with fresh fruit and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf. I really couldn’t fault the hotel and all the staff that we came across (Ked, Tu, Po, Saint and the rest of the team) where brilliant. Thanks for adding to a great experience in Chiang Mai, one we’ll never forget.

The location: Very central, 10 minutes walk from the night market as well as the old town. We loved it. The hotel: The room was quite small, especially the bathroom, but we didn't really care since we spent most of our time outside anyway. The fourniture is simple but quite recent. The AC was really good and we got lucky to have a nice view. The hotel offers a small swimming pool outside. We didn't use it but it looked pretty nice. The food: Our best breakfast in Thailand. It was our highlight of each day. We strongly recommend having their Thai omelette. So good! The staff: We felt like home. The staff was amazing, always in a good mood, smiling, polite, professional, and available. They have a great team which will spark your morning! Thanks for having us! Travel tips: We rented a scooter to visit the surroundings. Must do!

We had a great stay. The hotel is well situated, near to a main street but still one street behind so it's peaceful. The staff was super friendly and helpful, proposing activity and arranging transport. There is a nice pool. The breakfast that were served were delicious. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the cleanliness of the rooms, acceptable but the shower curtains need to be cleaned and finger prints on walls, door knobs and objects in general.

I loved this little gem of a place. Pretty and spotlessly clean, close to town and the Riverside area but in a quiet little street. The staff is endlessly helpful and nice. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. The staff was the best of all — Keo, Platu, Po and Patch were friendly and helped in every way possible. Great variety in breakfast and delicious also. Good location to walk just about anywhere. Loved my 7 nights there!

This was a really wonderful place. They accommodated our requests to check in early. The breakfast was tasty and filling. The staff were very polite and helpful. The location is also convenient. I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is the shower gets the whole bathroom wet, despite the curtain.

A clean modern hotel with staff who go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Saint was brilliant with our son, making him laugh every day. The beds are softer than the usual Thai style firmness and the place is quiet. A perfect place for couples, but they accommodated our family well. We just had to make sure the kids didn't splash in the pool, or make too much noise.

I am a serious traveller and I stay in luxury 5 star hotels all over the world. I have visited over 50 countries and have been to Thailand nearly every year for 20 years and never have I come across such amazing staff anywhere in the world as I did in Kate and Hasu hotel. Ked, Saint, Po and Platu you made our stay in Chiang Mai the best. You are all such amazing beautiful people. Thank you so much for my best hotel experience ever! I can't wait to come back to hug you all. Your boss must be so grateful to have you all in her lovely boutique hotel. The hotel is great but without the staff it would just be a nice boutique hotel. With the staff it is simply the best! Thanks again to all of you for making our time in Chiang Mai so amazing. X.

It's not better! That's how perfect hospitality looks like!
I was at the beginning of March 2017 for 3 nights at Kate and Hasu. Had booked a double room with breakfast for about 45 euros per night.
Location: The hotel is located in the heart of Chiang Mai – in a quiet side street. On the one quiet location, but at the same time perfect to explore the city on foot.
To the room: The room was bright, modern and comfortably furnished and very clean. At the same time the room itself and especially the bathroom was very small. I was traveling alone, so it wasn't a problem. With two people with a lot of luggage it can be a bit cramped. I didn't bother with the room size at all. I also had direct access to the beautiful terrace with several sun islands on my floor. Perfect to finish off the evening with a cool beer.
Also the bed was super comfy.
The wireless internet was free and worked consistently very well. In the room there was a safe which could be used free of charge. A notebook has no place in it, but it can be deposited at the reception at any time.
Catering: The breakfast was á la carte, super tasty, fresh and beautifully done every time. Also the coffee was perfect. You can't do better than that.
To the service: I was particularly impressed by the cordiality of the staff.

Hidden gem in a bustling area of Chiang Mai. Clean, tasteful rooms. Trendy lounge/pool area. The key to this operation, however, is the team of staff. All are; polite, courteous, have a fantastic level of english and are very friendly.

Lovely little hotel. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help you and make you feel welcomed. The location is perfect, between the city walls and the night bazaar. The rooms are not too big, but that isn't an issue as long as your not carrying too much luggage.

Raving reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to book this place. But you need to book early as it sells out fast. So glad we did. Lovely design as well as being quiet and peaceful. The choice of breakfast each morning was great and I think it was probably the best coffee we had the whole time we were in Thailand. It's also a great location between the old city to the west and the river and night bazaar to your east. Both a relatively short walk away. Also, the beds are the most comfortable beds I've EVER slept on! The rooms are a little on the small side.

Nice hotel with excellent service! Only negative are the small rooms, especially the bathroom. When we showered the water spilled on the floor and we had to use our towels to dry it.

OK so I don't think I've ever stayed at a place quite as amazing as this one. Where to begin… the service was out of control. Their staff, led by Gate who is always at the front desk and has a recommendation for everything, Saint who will walk you to a place if you don't know where it is, or anyone else there is just fantastic. They always have a smile on and are always willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you have a great stay. They rooms are always clean, the free breakfast and bottle waters are on point, and the location is prime. Make sure to ask them for anything, whether it's a driver to take you somewhere, a place to eat, or where to party. I will stay here everytime I go to Chiang Mai hands down.

I stayed there for 4 nights and it was amazing. The overall ambient of the hotel is very relaxed, the staff is helpful and willing to assist me on my trip. The room is small but thats not a problem since it is very clean and cozy. I would definitely return!

Pretty nice boutique hotel at a quiet location. The staff is extremely polite and they serves up a unique breakfast. The rooms are a tad too small with no bath tub though. This place is also a short walk to the Old City as well as to the night bazaar. Can consider returning.

Charming hotel with a very modern reception.
The rooms complete and clean but they are somewhat small, just like the bathroom. The window in the room is large but fixed, which makes you not able to ventilate the room.

Great location right outside the west gate. Very close to the night bazaar and all the markets. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was very good and a good way to start the day. A small gym facing the pool at the lobby level if you still have energy left from exploring the city all day. Room and bed were clean and comfortable. Also, air conditioning cools fast, what else can you ask for?
