The hotel is a 5 star hotel adequate even if there are some minor shortcomings.
Positive: + the own pool in each room. Really great.
+ Friendly staff (especially the guards and cleaning women) + lots of beautiful sunbeds and sun beds, always something free (I don't know if the hotel was booked) and always shade if desired + large room, clean, everything in excellent Order + location: Clear the Centara or Hilton are even closer to the city centre. But it's all within walking distance and that's great!
+ Every now and then there is free fruit at the pool or cold refreshment towels + varied breakfast buffet, fruit is freshly cut according to desire, egg station, etc.
+ small attentions from the hotel. For example, at the Thai New Year festival Songkran (a huge water battle) a water pistol.
Neutral: 0 There were reservations, but to my knowledge not from the staff. As usual, there are people who reserve their favourite couch before breakfast. However, the hotel cannot do anything, even if it is not in order.
Negative: — There are no Schattenmoglichkeiten in the pool. Once you have burned yourself a little, you can only go to the pool with T-shirt.
— The prices in the food and beverage menu will be deducted from 5% VAT and 10% service fee. I do not think this is the same. It is a pure holiday hotel, no one cares about prices without VAT. This should be shown directly. I generally do not think of a service fee and have been confirmed in it. The staff in the restaurant and bar is not busy. When we tipped a bit (before we discovered the service package, the bill didn't look so accurate), it wasn't even really thanked. I like to give a tip, but I decide for myself if the service is right. Here I rarely would have given something or a little bit. There are hotels that have a field for "Tip" on the bill.
— The garden pool suites actually have little privacy. From above you will be "gape at them" on a regular basis. The awning helps, but then it is dark and you feel like in the indoor pool or prison. For privacy I recommend only the suites on the top floor (but have not seen them, but from below you can not see anything:-) )
— The Garden Pool suites, located at the end of the building, do not have a direct neighbour. That is positive. For this, however, they have the wood staircase directly adjacent and that has not been schallisoliert body (clear lack of construction). This way you hear each time someone runs up or down the stairs with a hard appearance. In these rooms there is an additional possibility of lying in the garden.
— The pool boys carry the towels on the couch to some people and refer to them. I don't need it, but we never offered or made it. Presumably tipping is necessary in advance, which is not okay. But are normally friendly to all people.
— Information from the hotel: On departure, I discovered two signs in the lobby: Thursday morning free yoga and twice a week are sprayed against mosquitoes in the complex in the evening. We didn't get that in the room, it wasn't even in the hotel folder. The lobby is not actually visited, because a convenient footpath passes by. At Songkran there was the water pistol, but no info on which day and at what time you would best go out of the hotel to experience it properly. What a pity…
Conclusion: Very good hotel, we would come back. However, the few criticisms should be urgently worked out. Then there is also a 5 star rating.
