Genuinely the best night sleep I’ve ever had, our guide, Lamb (sorry if I spelt it wrong), was absolutely amazing, very courteous and knowledgeable. All the staff were attentive and couldn’t help enough. Please just go here, well worth the trip.

Environment Jia but tent room equipment to be strengthened, room cleanliness is not enough, we booked three rooms, actually someone was bitten by fleas… Breakfast Food Jia.

Hintok was a great experience! The tents are big, have electricity, water and aircon. In the evening the make a huge barbeque for all the guests, and the food is prepared by exellent chefs. Music and romantic atmosphere, nicely lit with campfire in the middle. We had an unforgetable time in Kanchanaburi and Hintok was one of the highlights of our trip.

I love this place! Natural pool with river view is the best. You also have an experience to be in the tent with air condition and full of amenities except television (but believe me that you won’t need it). You can use bicycle for free while staying here and cycling to pass suspension bridge to pay merit at the temple in the morning.

Beautiful place with nature. We can ride the bicycle of resort in the village. It is very nice time.

This is one of beautiful places with a stunning view surrounded by scenery nature. It was so nice to me for spending my day off here. When my friends and I arrived here we’ve got the tasty welcome drinks that I really like it. The staffs were very friendly and nice. There was a campfire BBQ for buffet dinner. There was a natural pool we can enjoy the view of River Kwai too. And because this is located on Hellfire pass, so there were lots of attractions that we can visit like waterfall, Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, or even Mon temple which we can ride a bike to go for making merit by crossing the suspension bridge near the camp. This is a good choice if you’re looking for a safari camp style accommodation.

As a family we loved this place, a super comfort tent, natural pool and pza Campfire meal at night, great.

I tried really really hard to like this place because the location is just ridiculously perfect. The jungle, the river, the mon village etc… all stole my heart from the beginning. However, the all round uncleanliness bordering on filth, the fact that it is not a remote unspoilt "campsite" in the jungle but tacked onto a squalid village surrounded by a trench of raw sewerage, and the sounds of the villager's motorbikes zooming past at all hours all spoil it. The first day we were awoken by a bunch of drunk villagers partying playing loud music from their car. After three hours of this we asked to go back to Bangkok but apparently there were no cars. I was also told not to complain because "Thai ppl work very hard so who are we to tell them they can't have a good time". So, we moved to a different tent which was much quieter until the electricity cut out and it turns out our new tent was immediately next to the petrol generator which was not only noisy but also filled our tent with noxious fumes and made all of our clothes and bedding smell. We asked to go back to Bangkok but again there were "no cars" so we ended up staying for the two nights against our will. Honourable mention to the kittens with worms playing on the food prep areas including the BBQ grill which was stored on the floor and the black mould that covered pretty much every inch of our tent. One lady was feeding some ham to a very sickly cat that was begging for scraps under her table at breakfast.

Unprecedented experience in nature. Night under beautiful tents with all the necessary comfort (air-conditioning, private bathroom glued to the tent and to the shelter). You have to expect noise at night with the animals surroundings, the music of the village next door and in case of thunderstorm. Plan Quies balls and you'll be fine!
The natural pool is nickel to cool off and sunbathe on the pontoon floating on the river.

It was a lovely scenic place. Very hot but the tents have fans and air conditioning so it was comfortable at night. Transport is via long tail boat through amazing scenery, which was great. Our guide, Lam (Rowlam) was fantastic. He kept us busy and answered all of our questions, with a great sense of humour. He is a credit to the organisation. We loved our stay.

Unique tent rooms were comfortable. Difficult to sleep tho with the crying baby in the neighboring tent. It is a little on the expensive side, but it is on a historic site. The staff was excellent and the food was good. Fun place overall. Seems a good fit especially for families and small groups.

Kind of back to basic, but fortunately with a great bed and bathroom. I really liked that it is something different than a standard cabin, resort or hotel. Great location and a lot of activities that are being offered. My boyfriend especially liked the campfire with barbeque.

The hotel was built on the historic site of World War II, the hotel was clean and nice and the air was great. Their rooms are built of tents, with perfect and comfortable equipment. It's a great place to relax, a beautiful ้, and a great location to enjoy the complete natural scenery. Here you can walk in the broken Valley of the historic site of World War II, where the museum has Thailand's only human beings living in caves in the age of various supplies and in the Second World War experienced events. There are also interesting activities that can be run on a leisure day such as a boating dive, an elephant ride on a bicycle, a barbecue, and so on.

A very nice camp but a lot of noise at night because of the Roosters singing all night and the Dogs barking.

Just an unforgettable experience.

Charming Camping for the location and for the realization, unfortunately the little care and maintenance do not make it a luxury resort.

Great place to spend a few nights exploring hellfire pass and the surrounding jungle. Comfortable lodgings, great views to the river, cute little rock pool and a decent breakfast. Tent accommodation is really comfortable and they do a campfire dinner which brings the place together. Highly recommended.

Hintok River Camp is situated on a former prisoner of war camp for British soldiers working on the Death Railway. The tents are nicely appointed and has all the creature comforts you would expect. The tents have their own bathroom, mini fridge, air conditioning unit, electric fan and a small closet. There is a nice pool next to the river fed by a natural stream coming down the hill. Breakfast and the BBQ dinner was nothing special and the internet was slow. The staff were friendly but their English is not too good. There are hammocks and beds on swings scattered all over the property so you can find a nice corner to relax in. They also have a small exhibit showing the history of the place.

So nice place nature stay in the mountain. Nice natural pool nice food I like this place.

A luxury campsite! Very pleasant… don't hesitate to go!

Good services and good atmosphere.

An excellent location from which to explore the River Kwai area and learn about the harrowing history of PoW and forced labour used to build the Thailand-Burma Railway (Death Railway) during WW2. The tents are comfortable and air-conditioned, food fresh and plentiful, staff helpful and guide excellent. Go on the tours to get the full experience and learn from the local guides. Dining is outdoors so take 50% Deet spray to avoid being bitten. For me, visiting HinTok was the highlight of a wonderful holiday in Thailand.

Authentic and bit rustic, a great spot from which to explore (onsite Burmese guides are really lovely). Can be a little bit noisy first thing in the morning (neighbouring village dogs), but it’s mostly just the sound of the local wildlife and forest you’ve come to get close to so one shouldn’t be surprised. Breakfast is Western / Chinese and OK, but lunch and supper are local and fantastically tasty.

Great Glamping Resort. Beautiful Tented Homes. Wonderful View, Stunning place with natural beauty. This is the only Resort located at HellFire Pass. It also connect River Kwai and Hintok Mountain. Great Place for tourist to explore History of Aus, Thai, British, Japanese and other in World War II.

The hotel and location is stunning. I was disappointed with the basic and, at times, unhelpful service.
