Nice area for enjoyment it's a good area near the ocean for anyone like to visit bagamoyo has has to visit fire fly because it's a most good area in bagamoyo with good rooms nice service provided nice to be there once again.

We enjoyed our stay and love this place❤. A true gem in Bagamoyo. Great food, beautiful pool and garden with many chillspots. Great staff and very child friendly. My son loved it here and played Uno with the staff and also played with the lovely dog Biscuite. It’s also very good located, close to Poa Poa resturant and Nashes Cafe and the art Market. I will definetly recommend it for people💯

Super nice place in Bagamoyo just a little north of Dar. Very cool area at the pool, bar and restaurant are available. Food is great on reasonable prices. Wi-Fi is a little weak, but it’s not your office space, it’s holiday 😁.

Loved everything about the place, except maybe they could get it a little lively with activities, bonfire and encourage gueste to mingle and converse, because it can get lonely with wveryone so silent! otherwise a wondefull place to go.

If you are looking for a camping site near to Dar es Salaam city (business town in Tanzania) Firefly is what you need. At this time of the year 2018 camping is about approx. $15 if you come with a tent and $25 if you happen to not have one. The food there is very good, relaxing environment and also the ocean is not far by. There is a swimming pool at the place and it’s about 10, 000 Tanzanian shillings if you only want to pull some strokes and cool your body.

This is a very calming place to hang out. Small variety of food and drinks but healthy. I didn't stay here but I heard the rooms are not air conditioned. Eco friendly.

Words only go so far in describing this oasis in the heart of Bagamoyo. Beautifully decorated and gorgeous pool surrounded by lush gardens, all topped off with excellent food and happy, accommodating service. Jo and her team were superb. Highly recommended.

Very cosy and informal hotel, the bed are not the best but you will sleep good anyway. Staff is perfect and the food amazing. Shower is cold water but it's very hot anyway! The small pool is very welcome!

Lovely place with alot of creativity, nature friendly, quite, next to the ocean with nice plants, showers and warm staff. Highly enjoyable and relaxing to stay. They got a lovely camping site with a sea view.

The place is amazing. We stayed in the Cove dorm for 8 eventhough there was only 6 of us. Has a pool to chill during lazy days. Nice location — next to the Fish Market and walking distance to historical landmarks of Bagamoyo but then again, Bagamoyo is a small town. The poach eggs for breakfast is delicious and the sweet & sour beef is recommended for dinner.

Really nice and cozy place for any traveller. One a day guess and had the pleasure to see one of their rooms and also had lunch here. Food was good and the ambience of the place is awesome. They have an awesome pool and chill out bandas which are perfect if you just want to chill with friends. There is also a big campsite with facilities for anyone who wants to camp. Plenty of shade.

This place is amazing in any regard. The food and drinks are super delicious and the staff is very, very, very friendly and caring. Every room is gorgeous and no matter where you look, it is a vacation for your eyes. My stays here have been therapeutic and rejuvenating. It is my favourite place to stay in Tanzania, if not in the world.

Love this place! The historic building has been restored and furnished reflecting the local culture in a way that feels very modern. I enjoy working here on my computer while sitting next to the lovely round pool and feeling the breeze off the ocean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I recommend it to all my friends passing through to take time and enjoy a drink around the pool or on the swing.

My brother and I have been at Firefly for well over a month now and have nothing but great things to say about our experience. This is by far my favorite place in Bagamoyo, and I have been traveling to and working in the area for over 6 years.
Firefly is perfect for overnight stays, camping, live music, or just grabbing a beer by the pool. The location is ideal, the overnight accommodations cover everything you need (including Wi-Fi), and the backyard setup is absolutely amazing. They have a private pool and patio that also includes a bar and food. They have live music on Friday nights and regularly have evening BBQ’s. Overnight stays include a complimentary home cooked breakfast, which is amazing as well. Firefly also offers morning yoga sessions, massage services, and different safaris/boat trips if that’s your thing.
However, my favorite part about this place is the people and staff. Each staff member is fun to talk to and extremely friendly, which adds to the laid back atmosphere. The owner, Jo, is one of the coolest people I’ve met in the area. She has worked super hard on building this place to be the way it is today and will go out of her way to make sure you’re having a good time.
I highly recommend Firefly to anyone and everyone, regardless of why or how long you are in Bagamoyo.
