Good facility and service. Great location! The only down side is the breakfast food. The quality is average and they don't change the menu much, so it gets old after a couple of days (we stayed for five nights). Will definitely recommend this place!

The style compares to the 780 's (although friends speak for only 10 years) but the size of the room is quite good. The view outside the window is wide, there is no pressure force at all. The bathroom is very good. Soundproofing is also good. Carrefour, hour business, is just across the street and is a great choice for buying hand letters or not sleeping around. There is a direct road to ximending nearby, and it is a pleasure to stroll from anywhere on a cool night for no more than 10 minutes back to the hotel.

Not great hotel to stay due to it's price & service & accommodation quality are not really match their 5 star rating. I would say 4 star is fair to them. but the service could be 3.5 star I booked this hotel for my family trip back to Taiwan for Xmas holiday. All because it's location & rating & a looks nice top roof garden. but when we stayed there just few nights before 2016 Xmas. (the busy period) Their top roof garden was closed. The gym had few machines out of order. The front counter staff normally do not have smile or greeting you. You do not expect those when paying nearly $300NZ ($240US) per night. they have reasonable small lobby & even their bar voucher was not really honest. (buy 1 drink & get 1 drink free voucher. But we were asked to buy 2 & get 2 free drink. Otherwise, the bar did not accept our voucher. ) After we felt we kind of wasted our hard earned money. I would not go back there again. A half price 3 star hotel we stayed before we moved to this Garden Hotel. only half price & better location & free buffet breakfast for whole family & free 24 hours drink bar & snacks. Free laundry service too. (although the room was 30 — 40% smaller. And sound proof was weak & less. ) But my family felt we should stay in that 3 star hotel for the whole Taipei trip. Should not waste money on this Garden Hotel.

Very nice hotel. I stay in this hotel for around 4-days. It's quite good hotel. They provided a good food and room. You can try this hotel if you are planning to stay in this area. It is also quite close to ximending night market, so you can go around in the evening.

Great place to stay, private yet public. Nicely located. Clean and spacious rooms. Large and fulfilling breakfast spread.

Location in the vicinity of the noisy area, near the West Gate-cho, Guangzhou Night Market (Longshan Temple), botanical Gardens, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, and so on, public transport is very convenient.

Modern, clean and well kept hotel. Rooms are spacious. Convenient with nearby 5 min metro station and Carrefour across the highway.

Good hotel. Reception could be bigger, but rooms are nice and that's what matters. Breakfast is good too with omelette station and international food. Has a little gym but enough for a overall body workout.

Close to the small South Gate MRT Station, suitable to live here after the detailed exploration of the periphery! Nearby Carrefour, McDonald's, convenient super merchants, if the reservation is not a separate breakfast can also be nearby to buy!

It provides good service. Managers are all kind. They can speak English. The quality of room is also good. One little bad thing is that room and hotel equipment might not be clean.

Flawless service from valet, front desk to house keeping. Room is a bit dated but the washroom is very generous in size. I'm not sure breakfast is worth the extra cost as there are plenty of better options in Taipei. Hands down one of the best hotels I've stay world wide.

Had breakfast, good variety and taste. There is a fruit shop next to the hotel, selling good quality Taiwan local fruits.

A stunning hotel! Rooms were beautiful and clean with a luxurious feel. The view from our room was fantastic. By far the best breakfast we had at all the hotels we stayed in Taiwan. I would say this hotel impresses even the most picky of people!

10 min walking to Ximendi. Very close to subway station. Room very clean. Many restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

A short walk (5 mins) to the Xiaonanmen Metro (Green Line) station. Also, Carrefour (open 24 hrs) is just a stone throw away diagonally across the road. Has a bakery at the ground floor, so you can conveniently grab a bread bun anytime before 830pm. Hotel room is clean and tidy. The rooms are non-smoking. English newspapers is delivered daily to the room. Buffet breakfast is served at the restaurant at the lobby until 10am. Selection is reasonable, but does not change much from day to day. Stayed for 7 nights, so was bored with the breakfast spread by the 3rd day.

I would give this 5 star hotel, a 5 stars review, if the food situation there was no so problematic, especially for vegetarians. The breakfast buffet did have vegetarian options (unlike the other restaurants on the premises), but there was a funky smell all around and there was no scent of food (not to mention the cockroach that was strolling in between the dishes and did not help my appetite). The rest was perfect (rooms, service, etc. )

This is the first night of a three-day business trip. Front desk was flexible enough to offer upgrading the room when the scheduled one was unavailable, not so sure how accommodating on check-out time when my flight is so close to the mid-night and I have no interest in wondering around. Interesting setting, a shower/cleaning part of the bath room is separated from the toilet part. Carpet was pretty clean, at least did not prompt me to find the slippers; bed sheet/pillows/comforter were dry and smell right, Wi-Fi was easy to get on. In general, worth the cost if no concern of the faded paint furniture or being compensated by the wonderful morning view. By the way, I didn't mind breakfast was not included until no complimentary coffee is available in the lobby.
