Cheap Hotels in Kaohsiung Area

5 stars as it is, compared to its price. Front staff was very helpful. Huge toilet and shower with limited amenities. Breakfast was not the same as shown in the photos in the hotel's elevator.

Cool hotel with animal theme (you can see some fun drawings on the wall or door. We came in the stormy night, the front door was locked.

The service attitude is very good. The room is larger than expected. It has a desk and a nice night view.
Slightly older, the furniture has traces of use.

Hotel is conform to pictures.
Location is convenient (close to 2 mrt stations).
Rooms are as expected. Do not book a single room if you are claustrophobic though, space is tight.
Extremely clean.

We got double room on 11th floor. Great room. Spacious, not too small, clean and very quiet because of great soundproof. Everything provides in rooms.

Hok House is centrally located in Formosa Boulevard, very clean and nicely decorated, and service was excellent 👍🏼 the owner was very hospitable and kind, and waited for us past their check-in cutoff

Didnt end up staying there because of the delayed flight but the staff waited me with patience and helped me to cancel the booking for free later. Hope to stay here in the future!

Best inn ever! When I enter into 12F of the building, I am amazed by the spacious, bright and clean common space. It offers drinking water, tea, coffee machine and snacks.

Dorm, bathroom, common areas were all extremely clean and well maintained.

We came as a couple with a 4-year-old child, and we booked the biggest room with train-themed toddler bed. The whole hotel was super kid-friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were kind, friendly, and very attentive, which made us feel comfortable. The hotel is very kid-friendly, making it a great choice for families.

As soon as you enter the house, you can vaguely smell the faint wood fragrance of an old Japanese house, and the strong military village style makes you feel like you have stepped back in time.

The house is big and cozy.
It’s really nice place for the big group or family.
The place is also okay for the BBQ event.

Nice budget hotel located in the heart of the city. Close to every: metro, shopping, market, coffee, Starbucks etc.
Rooms are a little old but you got everything you need for a short stay.

Love this hotel. Fantastic location, just 10 mins walk from the train station. Dome of light almost next door and night market just a short walk.

Great value for money! Rooms are spacious and reasonably clean. You will certainly get great value for the price you are paying for. Breakfast was above average and you get free afternoon tea as well.

Arrived around 9 PM, it was an easy travel from the airport and wasn't difficult to locate. Owner took the time to introduce the amenities of this place, he was very accommodating and attentive.

The owner is really nice and makes you feel at home. Everything is so convenient. Such a great place. Big rooms. Can do laundry. Awesome. Love.

​Uno Backpackers isn’t just a hostel; it’s a total gem.

A lot of children, and person above me had a vibrating phone placed on a hard surface directly in the bed above mine.
This accommodation however, has all the amenities one needs and more.

Mainly picked this place for the price it offers. It turns out that I enjoy the area quite a bit.

The perfect place to stay if you are in Kaohsiung. Very clean room and bathroom. Even had a bath tub in my room. The owner was so kind. She speaks good English.

I stayed here with my mother and my sister in March of 2024.

This is a tough one to review — while we LOVED the breakfast buffet, our room was tiny and the side of the double bed was actually up against the wall which made it difficult to navigate for 2 people.

The room is spacious and clean. The staff are nice. The location is near the train, just 2-3 mins walk.
The bathroom has no bidet.

Excellent location near metro station and LRT station. Very comfortable and friendly staff.
Some days our room wasn’t cleaned which is normally ok for us, but not when toilet paper going in the bin.

My friends and I were very happy with this hotel. They offer luggage storage, so we were able to leave our bags when we arrived early.

The guy at the front office speaks English very well. He was friendly and helpful. We booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled very heavily. He gave us directly another room and apologized.

Pretty decent hotel in an old building. The lobby is on the 5th floor and there are rooms on the 6th and the 10th floors. I stayed here for 1 night back in April.
