Wonderful Location, elegance and friendliness.

We have had the most wonderful honeymoon stay at The View. The staff have ALL been the perfect balance between helpful, friendly and courteous without being overpowering or officious. Our room has been absolutely perfect throughout our stay, our every need willingly catered for. The ambassadors have helped us find our way around Lugano giving us directions to some great places to eat and relax, (Spaghetti store, Tango and Restaurant Federale are all worth a visit for food! ) and handing over the free to use electric bikes and cars to explore with. We are sat enjoying our final evening on the Veranda while writing this, before enjoying our second meal at The View, reminicing about our hike up San Salvatore (Well worth the effort) and the funicular ride up Monte Bre. The View is a perfect location for both of these activities and provides an excellent base to come back to and relax. Couldn't have asked for any more. Thank You.

Everything has been superb from the room, food, spa, the incredible views, ebike and electric car usage for free and all and the staff have been exceptionally helpful and friendly! Would return to the view in a heartbeat, highly recommend to anyone who wants a luxurious break in this stunning part of the world!

Everything perfect, very nice and cozy, everything.

Simply an exquisite boutique hotel, delightful staff, luxurious rooms and nothing is too much trouble. The service, food and setting are wonderful and the pillows are like sleeping on a cloud! The complimentary electric Smart car or bicycles make getting about simple and it’s just a joy to explore such a beautiful area. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

One of the best hotels, I have ever been to! Cozy rooms, lovely design and super comfortable and unforgettable atmosphere. The breakfast was sooo delicious! Special thanks to Elizaveta (Front Office) for her assistance and for making my stay special!

Great hotel, good service, friendly staff, nice view. A few points need improvement: 1) Breakfast buffet. One should not call it a buffet but rather a dining table with some cheese and fruit platters on it. For this price range, one expects more. 2) Respect for privacy: Sometimes staff is being too intrusive asking too many questions. There is time for pampering, and there is time for leaving people alone. Running after guests to ask a question just for the sake of it is quite irritating. 3) Towel and mirror heater always on. Especially during hot summer days, the air conditioning system is struggling to cool down the room. On top, towels bars and mirrors are being heated and these heaters could not be turned off. We found this to be a little weird. 4) Water leak after rain. We have seen a considerable amount of rain water pooling on our room floor. This happened after a period of moderate rain. 5) Balcony separators built from frosted glass. Not the best sound insulation solution. But even worst, when next room switches those fancy and bright balcony lights on, you are left with no choice but to close the curtains in order to be able to sleep. We truly could not understand the architectural philosphy of having the balcony separators semi-transparent.

Perched just above city of Lugano but close enough to walk into the city, The View Lugano really is a slice of heaven with eighteen beautifully designed suites. The property is blessed by a young team who seem so
very much experienced in wonderful customer care, well beyond their years. We enjoyed every imaginable comfort, and really enjoyed this Swiss-Italian experience. Grazie.

What a place! Amazing! Quiet with a perfect view, perfect staff and the suit is amazing!

“The view” Lugano is a modern Hotel with high quality facilities, in the respects but all the virtues of a classic 5* Hotels. After you enter the garage you will be accompanied by the Ambassador into the room, while his colleague brings the car parked and the Luggage. Check-in takes place together with the Ambassador in the room instead of using the iPad (ingeniously simple). Equipment and Design of the entire hotel is top notch. The staff is very courteous, the Service is perfect, the quality of the food is at an extremely high level. SPA treatments are relaxing (Valmont products). In the room there is a iPad as a Central remote control for lighting and air conditioning. Especially attentive, I feel the ten free electric smart cars for guests of the hotel. In comparison to this Hotel, the 5*see Hotels, the hotel chains have more than age. You will feel welcome as a guest. Bravo.

Very nice hotel excellent food and very nice rooms with good view over the lake a plus point are definitely the electric bikes you can rent the pool is big and pleasantly warm the staff was very friendly all in all very good.

A very nice hotel with beautiful view on the lake of lugano. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Love the location and hospitality. Faced a small issue at check in but all was resolved. The GM is a very gentle and respectful. The food from the in room dinning needs a bit improvment. Overall its an amazing hotel.

Honestly I was expected much more than just a view from the room. The modern room today is not a something special! Restaurant is not 13 points Gault Millau!
Breakfast is horrible not 5 star hotel…
Service is the same.
Actually the list of deduction of points can be long.
Did not try spa but do not expect something good.
If you think to go here be ready that you pay just for a view!

3 starts but just for the view and room in the hotel.! Can’t expect so bad service in the bar … that was first expression… than Service in restaurant. Food… : bread is not good, vine choice is horrible for example white light fish with strong red vine … pumpkin risotto with no yeast rose vine … brrr and many more mistakes… wild meat was with old smell… Torte is Kind of Nutella with some Backe and no cheese wagon. For 13 points Gault Millau I’m personally not understanding…

This is one of the best place I've ever been. It is not just a luxury hotel but a special place able to offer a very pleasant stay. Congratulations. Wish all the best.

The only good thing about the view Lugano is the view. The food is tasteless and the menu is very limited, it is very overrated. The food was the worst things in this hotel. The bread was hard and the fruits didn't always look fresh. The smoked salmon really looked off. Very unappetizing food. The staff is nice, but the service is bad. The only good service we got is from Valentina who worked at the reception. The only extra star was for her and the butler service in the garage. Other than that it wasn't that great. We got 3 junior suites, The suite has no privacy whatsoever, the bathroom room is literally in the middle of the room. Everyone can see you sitting in your balcony. The floor is so polished we kept slipping and falling everyday. Yes they provided us rubber/foam slippers that aren't that comfortable. It is not kid friend as stated, there is no kids club or even a children area. There are steps everywhere and it was kind of hazardous. The location is so far away from the city we had to always get a car to take us places, it's not walking distance. It was waste of time and money. I didn't understand why it was highly rated by people.

I brought a few days ago a wonderful couple from London and I came back to pick it up after two days. They seemed entranced. Actually the view is breathtaking. The rooms face the lake. And the reception is at the highest levels. As the car rental with driver recommend' surely this structure. Congratulations.

There I was in the occasion of a marriage and then only for dinner and the night, not to sleep. The staff and the beautiful view of the lake. The hotel is accessed from the underground parking if you arrive by car because the ramp ends at the rooftop terrace. Food on the whole good but not very organized for that kind of event in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, the place is amazing, but I think it's my bad luck, which at my room the phone wasn't working, my problem was that they told me they cannot fix it and the management didn't even considered giving me 1% discount.

A wonderful design hotel. The biggest highlights (besides the dinner of Mauro Grandi with 14 Gault Millau points) are: the indirect lighting, which was consistently implemented throughout the hotel, the free-standing bathtub in the room, the controlled light from the bed via ipad, the hand-blown Moranogläser in the restaurant and the art curated throughout the hotel.

Perfect weekend in Lugano thanks to our stay at the hotel The View, Lugano. The rooms are very stylish and spacious, the staff is listening and the little care and the spa is beautiful. Not to mention the magnificent view on the Lake…

Strange menu with non descriptive style of cooking. Food is tasteless and uninteresting. My wife said the best part of the meal was the bread — that says everything!

The View certainly lives up to the name. We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing view that greeted us in the morning having arrived after dark the night before. Do take up on the offer of a FREE electric Smart car to explore the town and the lake.
