The staff are friendly and helpfull. The food at buffet breakfast are good.

The indoor pool is my highlight, really nice. The staff is very friendly and you eat very well. I also think it's great that dogs are allowed.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed. We were very happy about the Admiral, because of the pool and the roof terrace. Pool area is too small. When we arrived there was no more deck chair available, 10 sun loungers for so many guests is an exaggeration. Water was polluted and I could only sit on the edge of the pool. For 300 CHF per night and not even being able to use the pool properly I find really a pity. The reception staff on 17/07 and 18/07 was very rude, made me uncomfortable as a guest. Communication was also difficult, the person could only German a little. And no more parking available, we had to drive around the corner into the parking garage, for 40 CHF per 24 h, just a dream. But the room was clean, the breakfast was also delicious and the waiters I also find more friendly. Very good location.

Very nice hotel. Too bad you couldn't enjoy the pools. Very welcoming and warm staff. Small (big) awesome lunch. Excellent cocktail. Small downside, we asked to make the room and the table of the room was not cleaned (traces of our glasses of the day before always present)

Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, dinner menu during my stay was very small, otherwise spacious, well designed rooms, centrally located.

Ventilation fan/air conditioner is not working in the room and hotel couldn't change rooms for us as it is fully booked. Hotel staff told us to open up the windows for ventilation. But hotel is going through renovations/upgrading and there's scaffolding right outside our windows. How can the staff asked us to leave the windows open to cool down the room? the temperature in the afternoon is about 24°C. It's pretty warm and stuffy then. Even at 16°C at night, it is still stuffy in the room as there's no air circulation. I feel it is so ridiculous to allow guests to stay in a stuffy non-ventilated room. If hotel is fully booked and the ventilation is down, you should at least inform us upon checking in and may be offer alternative options if possible and not tell us there's nothing you can do about it only after we feedback twice. At the very least, offer us a table or stand fan but no… we were told to just bear with it. Such terrible service and attitude! not worth the money paid to stay here at all!

Very very uncomfortable stay. Noises from next rooms, and staff doesn’t help with that.

I can’t believe anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars! We got our room for under $100 on Priceline! Jessica and the rest of the front desk was very welcoming and checked us in fast! We won’t stay anywhere else when we visit this beautiful city!

A good 4 stars. Good news no carpeting in the rooms advantage! Impeccable bedding and air conditioning in the rooms. On the other hand, if you book a room plan to book a parking space too otherwise your car will sleep in a blue zone outside or in a public car park. Public parking prices sound correct for night 1. — from 2oh to 8am.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, room nice & light, bed awesome, breakfast very good and great variety. Car parking allocated if arrive early. Swimming pools roof and indoor good. 5min walk from lakeside.

Maximum Relaxation! Really nice staff, I had time for a breakfast and I was sorry not to be able to taste the dinner kitchen! Perfect distance from the center, it is pleasant to reach it through a walk along the lake.

It is very well received, possibility of underground parking 15 FRS per day where you get in the hotel with the elevator but you have to reserve the place 24hours before our arrival at the worst behind the hotel there is a parking the Comunale it is a little more expensive but much more spacious 5 minutes from the hotel. You can have lunch in or out on the small terrace very well served. The rooms are beautiful the bathroom also. They take the dogs (Golden Retriever). To eat lunch as well as in the evening they no longer make meals but we find a nice concentration of restaurants in the center of Lugano whose for those who know the lunch checks at the restaurant of the Olympia and l Argentino c is succulent here I hope that you FA your choice.

Correct rooms and mattresses of good quality, some equipment broken or out of use. Breakfast Full Parking at all times. To book if you want a good location and that the other hotels are full.

On the site it says they have sauna and gym included in the price.
Instead they have no sauna or gym.
Also in my bathroom there was mold in the tub and it smells like solvent paint all over the room.

Excellent breakfast — one of the best I have experienced at a 4star hotel. The staff could be a bit more welcoming and polite, but still they were helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Very affordable for Switzerland. Good public transport connection to downtown Lugano.

Worst hotel. Dirty room. Very noisy : I was able to heard the person of the other room talking and going to the toilet. Pool and terrace closed even if it was 28 degrees in Lugano. Had to wait 20mn for the check in because the person was on the phone. They charge me by using my credit card WITHOUT PERMISSION! This IS NOT a 4stars hotel. Even a 1 star is better. Furthermore rooms are very expensive! I should have read the comments. I told them that my stay was a nightmare : no answer! They don't care!

Okay hotel, but that's about it. Although renovated, rooms and building feel dated, it seems like there's no real upkeep: Bathrooms don't have effective ventilation (and smell like it), showerhead was mouldy, futuristic room design feels rather cold. Breakfast is extensive, but usually overcrowded (which is somewhat mitigated by the hard-working and friendly staff). Location is good, just steps away from the lake, several bus stops and Lugano Paradiso station — great base for sightseeing within the city and beyond. I would always compare room rates with the ibis Hotel next door and only choose this hotel if it's noticeably cheaper.

In my opinion not a 4 star hotel. Often moody employees. Underground garage with Pressfit parking.
Not really clean. In the bathroom the water ran out of the ceiling lamp.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Deductions give the extra cost for the close underground parking.

Very location. At 23.30uhr Blow-Dry the room neighbor and that one heard extremely well. Parking garage is cramped and difficult to park.

Rooms are okay. Wi-Fi is good. Breakfast is decent. Gymnasium is closed for renovation. No closets in the room. Rooms are noise less. Parking is chargeable. Airport transfers to and from Milan is easy. The place is close to public transport. Lake is easily accessible. No restaurants attached to the property. In summary, a basic property.

Quiet location but a bit off center. The rooms are a little antiquated but clean and the service is very good.

Booked the day before, we were surprised by the proposal. 73 Euros in two with breakfast, parking and tax stay in all 95 euros. Gave.
Comfortable in the center with 10 minutes of walk, passing the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Church of Santa Maria degli Angioli or passing on the lakefront.

Clean and spacious rooms, breakfast more than great. A stone's throw from the lake, but a little bit outlined compared to the center.

Nice rooms but not equipped with bidet and little soundproof, with heating off 24 ° night temperature and non-working conditioning.
But great breakfast, just too much waiting for a seat.

Hotel in line with expectations, room quite spacious except the bathroom (of which personally I do not like too much the shower curtain), good breakfast with open kitchen and service available. Good overall, ideal for short stays.

Rooms are a good size, but the shower was weak and had a glass wall facing the bed. Breakfast was also somewhat basic, although benefited from raw honey and on demand omlettes, but lacked fresh fruit/veg.

Is just a total dump, website is deceiving. Building is shown totally different than reality. The only nice thing there is their staff, specially receptionist ladies. 0 value for money. Bathroom has black mold, view is to residential crowded apartments, no coffee service, small breakfast run down corner, no laundry service, no room service, price asked sky high, even for a real 4 star hotel. And more (means less! ).

Vast improvement from when it was the Holiday Inn. Great location close to lake. Generous rooms and fantastic staff.
The only thing stopping this from receiving 5 stars is the ongoing refurbishment meant the the pool and bar/restaurant was out of action.
We will be returning and what better recommendation can one give than that.

Hotel in works without warning on their site. Nothing written is proposed. No restaurant, no pool, no fitness…
Under construction… no resto, no swimming pool, no fitness… and Internet site has no modification…

Very spacious and good beds, since we have to work in the evening and wanted to sleep during the day, I found the snarling maids disturbing.
Otherwise everything very kept in shot, good breakfast offer but slightly below German standard for a 4*house.
All in all, however, convincing.
Thank you for the 3 beautiful days that have felt more like a holiday than a working day. Happy again.

The rooms are large and clean. But the holiday taxes are quite high.

Unfortunately we booked ourselves via the Internet. We were waiting for a nice view of the lake (from the photo views) but we fell in the middle of full building at the time surrounded by works (as much as you say we were disappointed not to have had what we thought to book) but the hotel itself is clean is well st Sufficient stacking darter.

Clean and tidy, very well, is surrounded by supermarkets have a bus, walk a few steps is the Lake Lugano, very beautiful, eating place are many easy to withdraw money, the only regret is that no wardrobe.

Good Breakfast, Big rooms, except that you dont get free water and there is no kettle or iron in the room and it is pretty much far from city center. Other than that it is OK. You get what you paid for.

I had really great time in Hotel Admiral. Room was very nice and comfortable, Samanta and other women took care about cleanness and thanks for that. Head chef made me delicious dishes in which I enjoyed while sparrow, the hotel's regular guest, kept me company :) You have lovely staff and don't change them.
I felt like at home.

Months and my family we book for 2 nights hotel not very clean little lunch it is rather the dun 3 ☆ parking height pay 10 sfr per night in the end is that we got the surprise u.

We have two nights in a family room, which is actually two connected rooms. The experience is good, well cleaned.

A hotel that does its job of hotel: to be able to sleep there.
I don't know if it's worth 4 stars however.

the outdoor pool was closed despite the 25 degree outside.
the rooms are pretty decent and the service is well done.

Little choice and banal. Another nasty surprise, although breakfast is served until 10: 00, from 9 h 30 already the buffet is not restock and it is impossible to drink a coffee or tea.

Truly pathetic. Don't rely on prices. The pool is not in European standards. Dirty pool in bad state and as a result the fungi at the foot of my children. Mediocre restaurant. The bed and breakfast mediocre. The cleaning of the rooms good. Inside garage to park the vehicles I don't trust advertising signs (Hollyday inn) but nn and over an unpleasant chlorine smell throughout the hotel and the ascienzori really slow and ruined. I do not recommend.

Mixed experience. Staff is kind, but there is simply no maintenance of the equipment. Expensive for the level of confort. Interesting to see that TripAdvisor has good comments.

You are risking your life if you go there. They opened the door room while we are sleeping. The service is the worst ever. The Air condition is not working. Do not go there.
