I can't tell anything about the hotel, since we have never been, but very much about the sunny terrace & the restaurant. The food was excellent & the wine list is quite impressive. The service is very friendly and the prices absolutely moderate. In short, a good restaurant where we certainly weren't the last time we eat.

Wonderful Hotel walking distance to everything the city has to offer. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the service was great. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Easy walk from train station (hotel will pick you up on a phone call). Ensure you request a ‘Matterhorn view’ room from level 2 or above. Food and rooms to usual Swiss standard.

Lovely hotel, great staff. Our room was large and had a great view from the balcony. The food in the restaurant is top notch. There's a nice bar downstairs. Facilities wise there's a wellness centre and a decent sized ski room, which was all we needed. Location is fantastic, just a minute from one of the lifts up into the mountains. Happily recommend.

I stayed one night here with a friend. Service was good, although did have to wait for receptionist to get off phone for awhile. Buffet breakfast included, which was nice. Location is good, fairly close to train station.

Value for money is too low, in Zermatt stayed three nights, the lowest cost-effective is this hotel. Best value for money Gornergrat 3100

"Good hotel" Can recommend the hotel. Good, rich breakfast buffet, functional sauna area, good value for money. Location is also easy — easy to reach from the train station on foot and practically next to Sunegga train. Dinner (at the restaurant — have booked only ZF) is good average — but gives better for the same price.

We had a nice stay in Hotel Perren. It wasn't overly expensive, and the rooms didn't look dorm-like, like a lot of the other hotels in the area did when we were doing our research. Pros: 1. Free breakfast — I know, technically it's build into the price of your room, but it's nice to have breakfast right in the hotel lobby. They have a small buffet of cured meats, cheeses, sausage or bacon, scrambled eggs, boil-your-own — eggs, yogurt, pastries, fruit, and someone will serve you coffee/tea at the table 2.10 minute walk to the train station 3. Rooms are spacious and clean Cons: 1. Elevators are a tad old 2. Their site said they had a free shuttle to the train station but when we asked about it for when we were leaving, they said it was 2 CHF each. Also, the last pick-up from the train station is around 8 or 8:30, so if you're getting in after that, you'll have to walk with your luggage. But the walk isn't so bad 3. No one mans the reception desk after 10, so it was a good thing we got there before then.

The food is top and the staff very, very friendly. We look forward already again on our next visit.

Very nice stay and hotel. Very nice and clean rooms. We had a fantastic view of the Matterhorn from our window. Loved hearing the river during the night as we kept our windows open. The only downer on this trip was the car train to Tasch. Wasn't expecting that — 15 minutes of pitch dark. Can't roll down windows because of exhaust… claustrophobic nightmare… also made one of our party very ill as there was no visual to see where you were going. Never want to do that again, even for 15 minutes.

Nice place to stay in a beautiful town. All the prices in this area will be similar but this includes breakfast and a free shuttle to and from the train station.

The restaurant LA BARRIQU is fantastic. Great food and super friendly people.

Very clean. Nice balconies with view of town. Easy walk to grocery and stores. Stay on 4th floor if possible for best view. Large bathroom.

Great views of the Matterhorn if you pay a little extra. Comfortable and clean and centrally located.

Well maintained to the highest standard; just 8 minutes walk from the station. View from the room is breath-taking.

Our runners group LC Uzwil, was at this hotel guest and was very pleased with the experience and the service.

Hotel clean but extremely expensive for what it is! 510 room for 3 francs! and all this with the 3rd bed is a sofa bed! the service is friendly but at this price it is expected a hotel 5 stars!

Great hotel friendly staff good food and room.

Was there in July for just one night, was extremely pleased. Room was very nice with a great bathtub and shower, excellent breakfast the next morning with really excellent, creamy scrambled eggs. Most hotels can't get those down right, but these folks certainly did. :-) High-quality local cheese and sausages, as well as wonderful yoghurt made with local milk. One further very nice feature is that if you are leaving later in the day, you can store your luggage there, go for a nice long hike and then have a shower and change before being brought to the train station. When in Zermatt, highly recommended for a great stay without paying through the nose! Family-run, very nice folks. I'll be back. :-)

The Alpenhof Hotel is a wonderful Hotel with a great Spa.

Very nice and warm place. Friendly service and excellent value for price.
