We had room 405, superb with view of the matterhorn and very spacious. Warm welcome, decent evening meal. Great pool, jacuzz and gym. Excellent quality and price. To recommend.

Our second stay was just perfect and it won't be our last time. Beautiful rooms with Matterhorn views, delicious and varied food in the restaurant and relaxing hours at the hotel bar. We can only recommend the Alpen Resort Hotel!
At the moment, a reconstruction of the wellness facility is underway; the work did not bother us as early risers and hiking tourists at all. We are curious to see what it will look like from December.

Just a lovely introduction to Zermatt, we rang the Alpen from the station and promptly a shuttle turned up and a pleasant young man transported us to the Alpen where we were greatest with warmth and professionalism. Our room is amazing with great views including the Matterhorn. So far just a lovely experience.

This was a perfect stay for us, the rooms are spacious and some have balconies with lovely views. Breakfast buffets were well stocked with all our favorite meats and fish. Just a short walk from the train station made this very convenient!

Best Western Alpen Resort Zermatt is centrally located with convenient access to Bahnhofstrasse Zermatt. The resort had 2 buildings, one for reception and dining area. The other building accommodate rooms for guests. From the resort, guests can simply walk to the main street to take in the vibrant and lively atmosphere and enjoy the scenic view of this delightful village. The architecture is a visual treat, a mix of Swiss apline homes, restaurants, shops, hotels with modern architecture. Further down the streets is the Old Village, home to about 30 timber buildings built in traditional style between 16th and 18th centuries. Right in front of Alpen Resort Zermatt is a pasture where the sheep come and have daily feed in the morning and evening. You can't miss them because they baa their arrival.

Price/quality excellent. Beautiful view of the cervin. Awesome SPA. Perfect home.

If we come back to Zermatt we will stay at the Alpen Resort hotel again. Nice quiet part of town but only short stroll away. Lots of outdoor space and restaurant good value and very good food. We dined there twice.

Food was excellent. Services rather lazy. Missed on wake up call in the morning, luggage guy kept the luggage in some other room for more that 2 hrs and reception did not check with untill I approached them, the front office was not aware. But happy faces of staff. Would have appreciated better spread of breakfast. Other facilities are good like sauna, pool etc but again no attendant to help. Reims are not efficient like WC and His and her basin are in pl lace and bath in another with one door to it. It should rather be, his and her basin with mirror first and then WC and bath with door. That helps it make more efficient in the morning. I found it terrible gap between my stay in Lucerne in Hotel Grand Europe and here in western. Pl check with other guest they will say the same but this is not stated need but an implied one so many might not have expressed it. Thanks and Hope u will take the feedback in right spirit and take note of all three points be it service or efficiency. Zermatt is a lovely place and Western has done a very job overall.

A very nice place with friendly staff. We where 3 Person and we got more than enough place in our Room. Breakfast and ambiance at the hotel is very nice. Dinner at the hotel was also great (meat). I will go back there. Ein schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Der Raum war perfekt für 3 Personen. Das Frühstück und das Ambiance ist sehr gut und schön im Hotel. Im Restaurant war das Abendessen auch sehr gut (Fleischgerichte). Ich würde wieder dort hin gehen.

Great place to visit. Specifically during winter as during summer there is hardly any show left for skiing. But for resting & using the SPA it's always good.

Hotel room was mega beautiful and mountains beautiful looks breakfast was so delicious God fine since yesterday check she was so very nice and very friend and this morning a woman with glasses she was indecent without saying good morning.

I had a great experience at the entrance. The service was excellent even if we got at around 11 pm. The rooms are nice, It is a mere 5 minute walk from the train station. The public areas are very tasteful.

Amazing place to stay for a week in Zermatt; next to the station, big room with beautiful views to the Matterhorn and the best spa for relaxing after a day of skiing. Will definitely come back!

I had a great experience in this hotel. Nearby the train station and supermarket. Easy to access to other area. Hotel room was very clean and tidy. View from balcony was amazing. Breakfast was also good enough. Nice facilities. Willing to visit next time.

A really wonderful place! Caters for everyone — we had a fully equipped kitchenette in our suite which was so handy! Saved us a fortune! The room was huge and beds very comfortable! We would definitely stay again!

Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who were very understanding when it was impossible to get into the resort due to bad weather and were happy to adjust my booking. The room was nice and had plenty of space and everything that I needed for my stay. The breakfast which was included in the room rate was good and the food in the hotel restaurant was also of a high standard and I ate there on a couple of occasions. The hotel is conveniently located for the train station and also for the Gornergrat train that gives you acces the ski area. Overall I thought the hotel was very reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Zermatt.

Totally overtaxed Hotel!
Check-in should be available at 14:00 p. M. According to the booking. At 16:30, it was still not ready for reference.
The only lift in the house is not available between 9am and 5pm, as the laundry staff is constantly occupied.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is cold from 10:30 and is no longer replenished.
On departure, Zermatt would be cut off from the outside world, so we were forced to extend our stay. This night was a lot more expensive, although certainly no new guests could arrive.

The hotel is beautiful. It is very well located, quiet, and less than 10 minutes from the Centre of Zermatt. The rooms are modern and spacious. The beds are super comfortable. The rooms are very well-heated. The breakfast is plentiful with a huge choice, both salty and sweet. The menu of the restaurant is very diversified, there is for all tastes and it is excellent. The reception is at the height of the establishment. I loved this hotel and would highly recommend it.

A good valued resort styled hotel with nice clean rooms and renovated bathrooms. Some other parts of the hotel is a bit dated like the basement gaming areas and service can be improved during busy breakfast times but overall good enjoyable stay.

Friendly and helpful staff provides a Pick up n drop off service to train station, which is about 5 minutes ride.

The room was really nice but the bed was a little bit too hot. I enjoyed the dinner and the breakfast a lot. The SPA was the best part of the weekend because it was really relaxing after the hiking.

We made reservations for 2 nights to enjoy Zermatt and see the Matterhorn. After a few hours to / from Gornegrat, my husband and I were surprised to see our room open, with 2 men in the room, explaining that they were there to fix the cable. We were surprised because we did not report the problem, though we noticed the night before that the pictures were "shaky". Someone must have known about this problem and still sold the room to us? Why couldn't they have given us another room and closed the room for service, instead of invading our privacy? We were tired after several hours at the Gornegrat but we had to be in the room being repaired and could not have time to rest. My greatest concern is invasion of privacy and the threat of security if case these people were not legitimate. When I addressed this concern to the female front desk clerk, she was quite defensive and stated that they can do anything and that we are "safe in Switzerland ". I would have appreciated some concern from the hotel staff And that we should have been advised of the cable problem when we checked in or given us the time of repair so we could have locked our luggages?

Brilliant place to stay. Had a south facing room with great views of the Matterhorn. Food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly.

Here is so good! They upgraded our room. The room is spacious and clean. It takes only 7mins from the station. Also the breakfirst was really nice.

Very nice stay with a very nice room and view of the Matterhorn. There is a city tax (6 fr each night). Room was cleaned very well while out during the day too. Short walk to train as well as any trains up the mountain.

Service quite poor. Our room has not been made even after two requests at the reception. Doesn't meet the standards of Zermatt. I would rather recommand the Best Western Butterfly with a better situation (close to train station and main street) and with higher level of service and customer orientation.

Was 2 weeks ago in this hotel, excellent value for money with 2 wellness facilities! Very friendly staff. Book a room with a view of the Matterhorn (Panorama Room). Come back next winter for sure.
