I stayed here a week ago for seven nights. While the hotel facilities and the rooms look very nice, the experience was disappointing. It is almost as if there is only concern for the aesthetics of the property and nothing else. It is the type of place that seems perfect until you touch anything. Unfortunately for the owner, a hotel is more than an art exhibit; it is also a place where people live temporarily. The water pressure on the shower was too soft to use it. The hot water took at least 15 minutes to warm up if it worked at all. The Wi-Fi went out constantly. The power shut off in the room multiple times a day (sometimes this was because of local outages, but many times it was an issue with the room's power supply). The bicycles that they have parked out front for customer usage were all broken. Out of four bicycles, not a single one was functional. They have these fancy "do not disturb" buttons that illuminate outside the door, but I had an employee walk in on me even though it was turned on. Apparently, so many of the buttons don't work that the hotel staff does not even pay attention to them. The place is really a mess. On top of all this, when I spoke to the manager about all these issues, he did not offer to switch my room or provide some sort of compensation. He just said sorry, expecting that to solve all the issues. I have stayed at all the major resort hotels in the Trincomalee area.

Wonderful place to have fun and to have awesome tour with family and friends too.! Great view with good environment. I had a wonderful vacation on margosa bay ❤️.

We stayed there one day to use the swimming pool. Beautiful hotel, well clean and in front of the beach, beautiful swimming pool tho. The price to enjoy the swimming pool for a day was a bit expensive (2000rs)

‘Margosa Bay’ ➖ Minor issues that they should be able to solve with time (still in pre opening). First of all try to avoid having so many mosquitoes in the rooms (we traveled all over sri lanka and despite this being the best hotel where we stayed it was the only one with this issue). The beach has nice sand and good water temperature … (“;”) ➕ Very good new boutique hotel. Great facilities and decor, Great rooms with 2 showers (1 outside) great pool and access to the beach, friendly staff, good breakfast. Free bikes and moto and a mini moke to rent. Close to trinco (300 lkr tuk ride) best place to relax.

It’s nicely done with a good taste of an Architect. Rooms are spacious with ultra modern fittings. Good staff and friendly service with good food. Morning bread spread is super … Highly recommend for a weekend gateway or people who visit Trincomalee.

Perfect sea view, foods are delicious. Excellent service, rooms are super luxury, very nice place to be with families as well.

This was one of our favorite experiences during our visit. The staff was welcoming, professional and efficient. Chef Mr. Pathmasiri Hettiyarachi's food was excellent across the board. For dessert we had chocolate cake with some beautiful details. Highly recommended.
