One of the useless place I have ever visit. Never come again,

1. The room (Deluxe) is good and has space 2. Breakfast and lunch have various, but dinner does not. 3. Service was extremely poor; they are not caring about the guests. I am sharing my experience hoping it may help someone. Not sure everyone got this experience. I stayed with my wife and my daughter (1 year and 6 months). Just tagging you for your attention, apologies if this bothered you. This is a 5-star hotel, if the service is like this, foreigners will not come again here and to our country. Tourist Board — WP Sri Lanka Harin Fernando My room was 302 and we lost electricity at around 5 PM 3rd of September 2022. Then two electricians came and fix the issue within 15 minutes. They said a breaker was off and they reset it. I also heard them say there is a short in the balcony light. Then again electricity was down at around 7 PM 3rd of September 2022. During this time, we were readying to go for dinner. I had to call reception 3 times to get another electrician to check the issue. He came around 7.30 PM and another two came a few minutes later. They tried to fix it for some time since we were getting late for dinner, we left the room. They said they will fix the issue and no need for a key since they will enter the room with housekeeping. We came to the room around 10 PM and we had no electricity. I had to go to the receptions and ask for manager to get this fixed. Same electrician came and fixed the issue, but breaker went off after few seconds.

Hotel staff, rooms and food absolutely amazing, every part of our holiday has been above and beyond. Also local tour operator Thara is amazing Tapro tours. Enjoy your stay the hotel and locals cannot do enough for you, sheer perfection. 💖

This not good place to go. Room service is very bad. We have to call 4/5 time to get dental kit. We book double room and tripal room. But our tripal room not have minibar. Also rooms are not clean and food quality is average. Pool also closed @7.00pm.

Arrange day out for our office staff. They experienced Very poor service.

I didnt visited the resort yet. But the hotel staff is given me a feeling about How much they care about their customers. Specially about their qurentine ones. We were quarantined for 2 weeks at the Blue Waters Wadduwa and I would like to thank the hotel staff, as well as Lieutenant Perera and his team for their excellent service and care. The 14 days we spent there were spent well — the room was clean and food was amazing for all 14 days. Everyone was helpful and friendly and attentive. It was a comfortable experience during such difficult times. I'd like to thank everyone mentioned above who went above and beyond to look after us as best they could during this time.

Wedding Coordination part is very bad. As service providers its very difficult to arrange external services on time.

Sea view is great and the room is big.

Hotel thinks that those who come to paid quarantine is sick, disable and lost people. The food that they give says it all! Not recommended at all for quarantine. Smaller hotels gives much more better & quality food! Sorry but facts.

My wife and I were able to hold a grand wedding despite the situation in the country thanks to the flexibility and understanding of the hotel staff. Rajitha, head of banquet and Sajeewani, banquet coordinator were really helpful and friendly with us through every step and even with a curfew looming over our heads, they managed to provide everything we needed.

Excellent customer Servece in all areas specially Room service, F &B and the Front Office team headed by Kumari is the high light of the hotel. Food is excellent! Well done Chef Chandana.!.
We are leaving after 14 night quarantine and would like to recommend the hotel to anyone.

Great Hotel with well trained staff who knows the true meaning of Hospitality. Was surprised by the standards and professionalism they were maintaining. From the time of check in up to now it has been nothing but a pleasure. Almost after every meal I have received a call asking for the feed back, also beautiful and spacious rooms with a fantastic view of the beach. I would like to specially thank Rizan from the Front Office and Achintha from the F&B service who went that extra mile just to make sure that we didn’t miss home. Great place to spend your holiday. They offer a warm welcome and special gifts for honeymoon couples. Food is great. Enormous pool. Romantic atmosphere with a nice sea view. Overall experience was pleasant.

Don’t book this hotel and then want to cancel your bookings. There a no refund/cancellation policy and even if you meant to cancel a months before, you have done your money on an expensive hotel for no good reason. Not good enough and certainly not to be recommended.

I was in Blue Water for the second time in March/April, my parents the third time and I would book it again. ALL the hotel staff are so nice, great and friendly! We had a lot of fun every day. Thank you all again for a wonderful stay. Rooms: Eke sia kola, eke sia dola Stuuti for all.

We had my daughters 1st birthday on the 16th of february… it was an utter shame that the banquet staff tried to steal 3 whisky bottles and we caught them red handed… we only has 150 guests and they billed us for 170. They hv taken the count from the number of welcome drinks. Where in the world do they take the number of pax before the dinner buffet starts… Mr rajitha is an excellent person who hv done number of out events b4 at the same venue… but no one contacted us and gave us any explanation regarding what happened that evenin.

Checked in Friday evening and welcome was not so great. That day dinner was bit OK and restaurant staff was helpful and they are attentive. Can ask for anything and response was pretty quick. Saturday all three meals was not good at all. I give average marks for for food. Location is great and Swiming pool is also commendable. Mostly I love the bar as they have a great pool table. Bar can accommodate 45 — 50 people easily. Again staff was friendly and quick.

We stayed for 8 nights, the hotel is amazing with very good facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful and can't do enough to help you and are always smiling. The last evening our flight was at 3am and we needed to check out at 12pm, however as we had a little one, so the hotel agreed for us to check out at 7pm, which was so helpful as we needed to leave at 10.30pm. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you again to all the staff at the Blue Water Hotel for making our stay so pleasant.

It was a great experience. We went for a Sunday day out and time duration was 10am — 5pm. We were early but they allowed us to hangout and use the pool even before 10am. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lunch buffet was awesome, filled with so many food varieties (srilankan and continental) Pool was amazing and huge. You can taste evening coffee/tea with cake/rolls/sandwiches while watching sunset. It was a very relaxing experience. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone.

Excellent stay at the blue water hotel. Rooms are spacious and well furnished with quiet but powerful air conditioning. The buffet food has great variety to cater for all guests with varying themes each day. There is also a reasonably priced separate restaurant. The range of drinks available is good and the all inclusive menu has a good variety. There are plenty of staff who are friendly and welcoming. The hotel setting is beautiful with two connected pools at the rear with a poolside bar and plenty of space for loungers. This backs onto the golden sandy beach where you can see fishermen in the mornings.

Hi We came & had a nice two night holiday & sad to say that the time flew… Stayed in Club Suite 504…, it was great & thanks for the offer too… … Hoping to come again… it's a nice gateway because it's nearby for us…
Love the beach environment… But also we noticed that the food/buffet is not like earlier… not as to our expectation from a Five Hotel… Otherthan that everything was fine… friendly staff… kind hospitality from the check-in… Thank you & wish all the very best!

It's a great hotel. It's a beautiful pool. The rooms are all with access to the sea. But if there is a desire to get a direct view of the palm trees and the sea and a better room — you need to book club rooms. They're more expensive. In the evening live music. An elephant comes to the hotel. The price as always is high. Next to the hotel is a normal Janieest restaurant. The price of all-inclusive is unjustified. The maximum should be taken HB. Convenience in location — the minimum transfer time from Aeroport.

First of all, I should greatly appreciate their flexibility in operations. I payed an advance amount and booked a room for my family for one particular day but we couldn't make due to an unavoidable circumstance. Since the advance amount is non-refundable, I didn't bother to call the hotel and request for a transfer or a refund. However, the hotel called me by themselves and said that I can come on any other day while they will transfer the advance amount. We spent a memorable weekend with a top-in-class hospitality and great food. Rooms are spacious, clean and has a nice view of the beach. The club suits are simply AWESOME! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would like to kindly request the management to keep up the good, quality work.

Stayed in April 2018. The hotel is great, all the conditions for a relaxing holiday. The staff is friendly, always greets you with a smile. Every day weddings are held in the hotel, in the early morning a photo shoot for newlyweds. This does not prevent vacationers, as the banquet hall is at the other end of the hotel. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good.
Regarding nutrition, it is better to take the nwo or AI. Nearby there are only a few interesting fish restaurants that can be visited on tuk-Tuke. Since it darkens quite early, it is better not to walk in the evening.

We were holidaying in Wadduwa. 5 star hotel. The facility very well maintained. Food very good. The waiters are trying very hard. Selection at the buffet huge. Pool pleasant.

The hotel has an exquisite view for weddings with a hall big enough to accommodate 300+ guests. Food tastes nice. One of the best places to hold a wedding function.

Nice place for a day out. Larger swimming pool for both deep and shallow swimmers. Average hotel room and no wow factor. The place is full of crows and swimming pools are getting always polluted by crow poops. ☺. The baby pool was full of dried grass leave, but the staff members were not interested on cleaning the baby pool. Lunch was in good quality. One of my concern is the place where they facilitated the evening tea. That place was full of unpleasant crows at the outside tea area.

Super experience. … obliging staff. Hospitality to the max. Rejuvenating massage is one of the best. Good beyond expectation with a large pool. Beach to walk u must make It THE BLUE WATERS TO EXPERIENCE IT.

One of the best hotel I know. And best staff and best food. People say shitty things all what I can say don't think about the shitty comments what this people have comment on this wall. To be frank, this people eat rice and dahal at home and they expect so much of things. So cheer up. All what I want to say One of the best hotel in Sri Lanka. Always.

Hotelazo, very nice, good buffet for dinner, but the drinks exaggerately expensive. Internet good and if you do not get the signal you put a router. I had two big problems for being a 5 star hotel, they forgot to pick me up at the airport at the 1am and it took me 25 ' to check out because the three dataphones they had did not work, finally at half an hour they brought one from an office and could be paid. There is an a la carte restaurant with good fish and BBQ on Saturdays. Another negative thing, the ants and cockroaches in the rooms. Two positive things, a walk on the beach and gym with a professional training. Despite everything I recommend if you seek relaxation and disconnection of stress. Oh! Around the hotel there is no big deal, not to mention anything. Another thing, to go to the airport the normal Price 3500 do not pay 9 or 10000 of the hotel.

The hotel is very close to the park. However, there is a serious disadvantage in the breakfast buffet: There is only one single tea, which has been drawn for a long time or a short time and sometimes therefore tastes unbearably bitter. However, it can be diluted with water recently. In the land of tea, this is a poverty certificate for a 5 star hotel! The evening buffet leaves nothing to be desired, but the wine bottles are extremely overpriced. The staff in the dining room is very nice and accommodating.

Just happiness! Very pleasant stay, no race at the Transat, we come to settle you where you want… Kitchen Super Good, we feasted a special bravo to the Cooks. We took all our meals on the terrace as we do not like the air-conditioned and noisy dining rooms, a real holiday… super friendly staff, quiet atmosphere no booms or daytime or evening. Very clean room with a view of the sea. Finally everything to spend a paradise stay. A small downside, as read in the notices the Crows are particularly numerous and we apprehended. In fact it is not the Crows of our house but rather big blackbirds with black beak that croak of course. But it is done and the staff is very attentive so that they do not make us inconvenient. Let's not forget the squirrels who entertained us well, too funny, they came to eat us in the hand…

Great weekend holiday, nice service and clean place. Were reactant to make modifications to the original booking but after a bit of back and forth they were willing to make te changes. Food is moderate. Taste is good but I expected a but more for a hotel at their level. They were happy to go the extra mile for little ones.

The Ambience is great. Staff is quite helpful. Only if u are looking for Vegetarian food, it's a little difficult to manage. But keeping the ambience, the pool, the room, Its a treat! I'd Recommend you should pay a visit!

Awesome place. Designed by the greatest architect ever lived Sri Lanka. Fascinating structure and the garden surrounded by it no less attractive. Awesome, and nicely designed swimming pool by the beach is vast and spacious. Great food, high class ambience and ample parking spaces. Thoroughly enjoyable place for a wedding or a holiday stay.

It is very good hotel in that area, very clean and well maintained. Very very relaxing place to be. The view from the hotel is picture prefect, specially sunsets. It has all the basic facilities such as pool, internet and spa. The rooms are good too. The food is okay too, we only ate lunch. It is good, only problem was the menu was confusing because it is mix of local and foreign. I think they try to cater for a wide choice. It is expensive, but a peaceful place to just chill and relax. It looks like a postcard picture of a tropical beach sunset. PS: staff service can be very slow, that needs lot of improvement.

A large, glamorous hotel with beautiful rooms and a lovely sea view. Staff were friendly and accommodated our request for showering facilities after our check out. Beach staff readily laid out towels on sun beds even though the weather was threatening. Service needs improvement: at breakfast there were too few staff and orders seemed to be relayed from one member of staff to another. There needs to be attention to detail: a spoon has to come when a cup is requested; if free tea and coffee are on offer, they must be clearly signposted; activities like yoga classes need to be advertised.

A beautiful property with an relaxed environment. But the attitude and service is extremely disappointing. However, there were few who showed the pleasant friendly gestures. The buffer spread was very ordinary, but the food was good. The hotel need to upgraded their level of services and bring in a great deal of professionalism with the staff. Overall it was disappointing.

The first star class hotel in toward south after mount Lavinia. Still popular after couple decades. Good food, nice ambiance and scenery besides the beach. Week end night disco attracts crowed from Colombo. (when they want to escape from too crowded Colombo)

A beautiful place where you can stay and enjoy. Weddings company events and other official functions, and workshops etc. Can be taken in this place. Ample car parking space too available.

Thanks to Bawa for lovely creation. Except that all services were poor. Food was a disaster. No taste at all… not even proper cutleries on table. Many complaints on air condition cooling. Previous experience was so good before couple of years. Need to improve soon. We like your hotel (y)

Nice spacious environment. Good place for a cozy accommodation Grand ball room is often used for weddings and corporate events. Table service should definitely see some improvements as they are below their competition's level.

The food was bad, there was bad choice of sauces. I mean the food tho… The service was slow and inconvenient. There is no DJ. Definitely not worth price, at all. The rooms are okay. The interior design was all over the place. Messy.

6th may 17. Weekday, reservation was made for 6 pax buffet inclusive of access to pool. Before even we start to enjoy the hotel facilities, someone tried to sold a day use room for us. My family was very visible of old parents and 2 young couples. I am not sure the purpose of selling day use room for us. Yes agree you should have try to sell to a alone couple.
We were escorted to pool by the same person after a welcome drink. It was not escorting actually just showed the way only. I guess he lose the interest because we didn't buy the day use room.
After spending short time at the pool which was good experience I can say, we went to buffet. Which was not upto our expectations. Lady was on blue saree, escorted to table of 6 without speaking single word. Just smile only. After that noone cares either we eat or not. We were going around the buffet thinking what to eat, finally decided to have some grilled fish & chicken. Fish was nice. However chicken was tasteless. I noticed many times tall touch guy going around and starring at our table. Which I didnt like at all. I guess he is one of outlet manager. He showed frw times to the waiters what to do. That was not pleasant at all. All I can say is we reserve blue water hotel because of the location and the food (this is what our past experiences says) which was just a waste of money, (16000 rupees for 6 pax) waste of time. Food was really not good. This is not how a buffet should look like and staff attitude should be.

We booked Grand Ball Room hall in Blue Waters Hotel for our wedding on 18th of May, 2017
We are really disappointed about the hotel staff's Very POOR service on our Special Day.
We were truly disappointed about this place as our guide had told us how great it was.
Actually one year ago, we booked both halls tentatively (Grand Ball Room Hall A and B). But the hotel Management has given Hall A to another Wedding ceremony without informing us which is not professional. The staff was not properly trained and they were not polite to our guests.
atleast they couldn't provide the seat covers for the ceremony as they promised and most of the seat covers were untidy and some of the seat bows were damaged.
No soup bowls and sources for guests,
No spoons for deserts,
Projector was not working in order to show our Pre shoot video.
Meanwhile the function was going, 6 times of power failure was there and hotel staff got too much time to recover it.
Due to that, our band "D Major" lead by Hector Dias could not perform as they expected.
more favorations for Hall A …
we never recommend this hotel for anyone to celebrate their functions and never hope to visit this hotel again. Please provide a better service for the money we paid…

AWESOME HOTEL! Number 1# hotel in Sri Lanka. I loved the club suite the most out of the rooms. The Admirals Room had the best food in the hotel and they always serve unlimited buffet.

Good value for money.

Not the Blue Water I used to know. Rooms not up to standard. Washrooms in public areas not maintained well. Flooded washrooms a disgrace. Food was okay on certain instances. Inconsistency in food standards. Flies during breakfast and just 1 waiter doing the rounds to serve 100+ guests at its peak.

Great hotel, excellent food. Friendly staff. The icing on the cake was the 25% discount that was on offer at the time. The gym is great. A nice range of equipment.

The modernist design is attractive and location on the beach is great. It is clean and staff are attentive and pleasant, The restaurant is well run and attractive. The pool is great.

My life partner and I were on new year's eve for 13 days in the Hotel Blue Water, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, everything is made possible what you wish for. What have been done by the employees for the new year's eve gala, was really sensational, all with attention to Detail, even with a small gift prepared. We talk all the praise in this Hotel. Loungers are always enough available, also as the Hotel was full. The beach was clean, the sea is always stormy, but we have also learned the love. We would come back at any time. And the many birds in the hotel grounds, have heard of. It was interesting to observe their behavior and to simply be in the nature of embedded there. We have also made a Local trip, the wait at the exit to the sea. Particularly to mention I would like to Mandju, we have given our trust and were not disappointed. On The Contrary! To make a Tour with him is recommended.

I want to share my experience on holidays in Sri Lanka. My husband and I had been planning the vacation on 01/11/2015 19/01/2015. We asked the travel agency in beforehand for the list of good 5 star hotels in the south-west of the island. There was hotel Blue Water Resorts and Spa 5 *, Wadduwa in this list from the host company EXOTIC HOLIDAYS INTERNATIONAL. And we have decided to choose it. We have expected to have a rest at the 5 stars hotel, but on arrival were very disappointed. The reception is whole shabby, there is dirty water in the pool, the restaurant is very simple furnished, it's very disgusting to sit on it because it's in spots all over; the food quality is on 3 star lever hotel. The hotel Blue Water Resorts and Spa 5 * in any case does not response the quality of five stars hotel, it's maximum 3 stars. I travel a lot and I know what I talk about. We planned to spend there nine days? But have spent only 5 and then changed the tickets and flew back home. We didn't get any refund for the remaining days in the hotel and for tickets exchange. This situation would not occur if the company EXOTIC HOLIDAYS INTERNATIONAL would provide tourists with true information about the level of hotel which they offer. The tourist has a right to know about the discrepancy of this hotel to the international standards.
