The hotel smells fresh and clean. Room was large with a sitting area with a couch. The room was very, very clean and modern. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and professional. The lobby was nice and clean. Breakfast area was large. There were several kitchen staff members constantly monitoring the breakfast items.

I would rate 5 starts even though it's not a 5 star hotel. The reason? They know how to make you feel welcomed. The view is awesome, the beach is clean and well maintained, the rooms, lounges, hallways and other places are beautiful and eye pleasing. The buffet is really good. They have a variety of food for each course. The swimming pool is long and can actually swim, unlike some other small pools. The rooms are spacious and has a beautiful view for each of them. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. It's a good place to spend your day and have a good experience.

A great hotel by the sea. You could feel the sea with a room upstairs. All rooms are with the sea view. Pool and the garden area is quite enough to accomodate a huge number of guests. The bar facing the sea is very nice and colorful. However the food options at the buffet could have been better.

This hotel is lovely if you want a beach break. The staff couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent with many options both local and international. The only reason it is not five stars is the rooms although comfortable had a strange set up in the bathroom. Basically a shaft running from top to bottom in the bathroom where you could hear people doing their ablutions from above and below.

Awesome 4 star feeling is there. Nice hotel. Staff is very helpful and polite. Views are mesmerizing. Ample car park is there. Food is I should say average.

Clean rooms, mold nowhere. Friendly staff. Near the hotel is always on duty tuk-tuks, which will throw you to the city. We had a room where all the bathrooms mine behind the glass doors for lighting the fluorescent light, because when I forgot to close the door the night morning woke to noisy neighbors, but overall no one heard. If you don't PP, then I highly recommend the neighboring in the direction of Kalutara restaurant at the hotel Green Shadows (white fence from the ocean), as the hotel prices in 1, 5-2 times above.

The hotel is the highest praise! clean, from the beach to the rooms. Watering lawns. Polite staff. A delicious buffet Breakfast. The area is large. The rooms are spacious and neat. Plumbing is never disappointing. As well as air conditioning. Wi-Fi fast. Citrus is not in the bustle of the city. And at the same time, next almost no slums. And most importantly — the sunset! right from the balcony. Incredibly beautiful and unforgettable!

Went for the day with relatives. Everything was okay but nothing exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are average. Food was decent enough.

Its a nice, new and modern hotel that all rooms r sea side view. The area is really relaxing. Staffs r super friendly and kind and they will do everything to help u.

The Hotel Turia… The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The composition of the residents is mostly local, quite a few Russians. Quite remotely located from the nearest entertainment place, cafes, souvenir stalls, but tuk-tuk can be reached cheaply.
The nature is very beautiful, the riot of growing trees, exotic animals… On the territory of the hotel live very cute chipmunks, lizards, herons, and a lot of strident crows, as it is not strange) … The staff at the hotel is mostly speaking English, Russian does not understand, but explain something a couple of English words can, very try to understand you. Hotel and staff thank you).

The citrus is a wonderful and very clean hotel. The staff could not have been better. We were very pleased.

Beautiful, fabulous place by the ocean. Clean rooms, friendly and courteous staff. One drawback is the staff does not know Russian. Not knowing English is difficult to understand each other. And the rest-all super.

Fine place to spend a holiday Great hotel with delicious food and nice comfortable rooms. We stayed there for 3days and 2 nights and the stay was amazing. The hotel staff was really professional and helpful. Lunch and the dinner was quite exceptional and they had wide range of cuisines for all 3 meals. The Swimming pool is good but it was not depth enough for diving, that was only minus point I could get. Bathrooms were large, fine and super clean. Bed was soft and the other facilities in the room was wonderful. Worth for the money you spend.

Came to 2 p. M. The room is not ready, had to wait long. When we finally settled, was very disappointed with the room. The room smells strongly of mold, around the dirty, old posechenny furniture from the vent pouring dirty water, no bath, shower in mold, stink, dirty, floor wet when taking a shower the water poured through the wall into the room. The hotel inside the rooms does not match the 5 stars, probably three, more stars we would not let him. Many residents agree with us, all complain about the dirt in the hotel. Mold definitely need to do something, it is dangerous to health. Will spend the day in and out. The hotel staff at reception and at the information Desk not helpful, even arrogant, does not behave respectful to clients. Requests do not perform, you have to repeatedly remind. Asked several times to clean the room, so no one was removed, the room has no shower gel. Will never come here. The only plus of the hotel is it's location off the coast of the territory. The beach is very dirty.

Beautiful place to enjoy your weekend with your family and friends. Located infront sea area. There is a large Swimming pool and there is a lot of different type food. Taste of the food is the only matter of fact sometimes. Rooms are comfortable. They have good house keeping service. If you are select to sped ground floor rooms you can access both side entrance. There is a pool bar and also normal bar facility.

Amazing stay. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Food delicious and varied. Even accommodated my fussy children by making them sausages ecenthough we were eating at the buffet. Everything run well and any issues fixed immediately. A little slice of heaven. I want to go back…

Went for a spend the day on the Christmas day last year. Food was quite good with a decent amount of variety. The hotel is good too. Well maintained. Location is also superb. There were few issues that were there as well. Our reservation was not placed correctly and also we had to go behind the staff and ask for our welcome drink and the evening tea and cofee.

Good place. Staff is considerate and helpful. But the buffet was not good. No food for locals. Only two types of rice were there and curries that went with those were even less. They should've provided something more, considering our guys were the largest crowd there.

Ok but you could have more light in the rooms and in the bathroom… It is more attention to cleanliness although it is not easy.

This is an ideal place to spend some holidays, good place for weekend getaway too. Also for events such as company events, weddings etc. This place also has Wifi in public areas too. Large swimming pool is good place for water sports too. Beach is something we can enjoy whole with exploring. Staff is supportive and friendly. Food is good.

Good place for a weekend getaway. The hotel has a good view of Indian ocean. But the sea is bit rough in this area. Not suitable for swimming. Garden of the hotel mergers with the beach at its border. Well maintained hotel. The only issue is that the corianders with in the hotel become wet even with a little shower due to the wind. Staff is very friendly and ready to help. Meals are good. Not an expensive hotel.

Grate customer service. Food is good too. Best place to plan your wedding. The staff is really helpful.

Breakfast buffet, lots of food, big krasieva area, swimming pool, sunbeds, great service, bed linen and towels are changed 2 times a day and also clean 2 times a day.

Service was good. A hotel which had nice rooms and a unique washroom and the hotel also had a nice view to it. The food was very unique than the food in any other hotel. The 2 nice swimming pools which gave the hotel a nice look. We had a lot of fun since it was in the seaside.

Beautiful hotel close to the beach. The buffet was good even though there wasn't much variety compared to other hotels. Rooms and in-room amenities were very good. Service was the only negative, felt that the place is a bit understaffed. The pool was good too with various activities.

Visited the hotel for the corporate annual day out and here is my verdict. Pros: Spacious — Nice photo location with chill ambience. Vast space for extra activities. (Cricket, volleyball, etc. ) Pool area — Enjoyed a good swim. Prompt attention of the staff even at the busy times. Cons: Average menu when it comes to the food and beverages. Nothing extraordinary. Guess they were playing it safe. Overall, would have been good for an overnight stay.

It's average. The good: Food was alright. Nice pool and garden area. Nice bar area. The bad: There were ants in our bed. The kind that bites. The guy at the reception lied to us about a discount we were entitled to for our credit card saying the discount was already included when it wasn't.

Great location by the seashore, with all rooms giving you a good view of the beach. Very pleasant rooms, comfy and well maintained. The all day dining restaurant does a good buffet spread but could do better with a little more variety. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly but can sometimes lack in attending to guests, when it gets a bit busy. Minor issue I found was that the Pips N Sips lounge staff aren't always around to serve you and sometimes you have to wait around for someone to show up to take your order.

Hotel was nice. But the maintenance were poor there was 2, 3 cracks in the walls. Taps were with stains colour washing was not that good there were unpainted patches. The bed head lights were remove and dimmer switches were there with wall brackets. Breakfast was very good with very good spread. Dinner was not that good even it was Saturday night.

This hotel is part of citrus chain of hotels, this is far away from the city. Food was good but their housekeeping service really sucks. They don't provide towel and other toilette in the room. Their attitude towards guests need to improved.

It says five stars though works as three stars. Sadly most of the services are downgrade including meals. Good swimming pool and nice environment and ambience but need lot of improvements to rate as a five stars.

Rated as excellent. Great place, with wonderful ambience and beautiful sea view from my room. Every staff in the hotel is very courteous, helping, smiling and ready to help and assist. Good food. Will definitely revisit.

Poronduwa

The first thing that catches the eye of a crow. Them there pieces 50, if not 40. They believe that it is their Kingdom. Drinking water from a pool, when you leave for a minute, stealing food. Second — good staff. There are certainly goats, but most of the staff is very positively welcomed guest. The third cleaning. Sometimes, when the room will be cleaned when you leave. They bed once a month change. Sometimes that is forgotten. Forget toothpaste — will have to take. Are not given a towel (for feet)

Fourth — insects. Look at the photo under this comment. This beetle we've seen time and again. He was crawling in the hallway. Quietly slipped under the door because there is a slit for letters. Yet, when cook and lots of ants. The rooms are not protected from them, except the fridge. Food all eat. Fifth — can be very boring. We arrived out of season. In the ocean to swim is impossible. Swim in the pool. Animation no. On Sundays and Saturdays, allowed local. It is very noisy. Sixth — the food in the restaurant. All the same. Sometimes, changing one dish, but basically remains the same. Very much brown. Very serious. But this is different. Seventh — Chinese policemen. It is not a bad hotel, it is less comfortable. I'm sure everyone knows, it's so noisy, even on the passers-by do not look. Eighth — all the excursions are expensive. Better on the train trip to Galle or Colombo. Three times cheaper.

Extremely pleasant and well designed resort hotel in Waduwa. The interior design and modern decor are really well done and the pool area is quite enjoyable. The staff were pleasant and check in was quick. The washroom and room were both large and comfortable. The best feature of the hotel is the two hammocks near the beach which were the highlight of our stay.

Comment is based on wedding function experience. Bites — no tasty, not fresh. Meal — not taste. Desert — good and tasty. Environment — good and enough space. Staff does not care about guests. Do not attend to tables.

Extremely friendly staff, very helpful. And food is very tasty and authentic… lovely atmosphere… unusual appetizer selection and that's so tasty too. Rooms are good and comfortable.

Near the beach is sandy, clean. Spacious, comfortable rooms. The views from all Windows of the ocean and the sunset.

The hotel is just super! I liked everything, the staff is kind, smiling, always ready to help! The rooms are cleaned twice a day, change bedding, towel, wet cleaning, bring water… every whim) ) ) food is like, you can choose to your taste and color! minus one weekend local residents rest in the hotel, for them there are its own rules, what they want, and what they are doing! a lot of them here) ) ) ) ) ) in General, all of it!

Room fine, nice pool, food good, but Beach unattractive due to touts, packs of dogs and rubbish.

Spacious rooms… luxury hotel. Conpared to other citrus hotel in hikkaduwa, this is the best…

Everything here is fine. Except for the fact that the pool is the same height. It does not have a deep end. Only issue we faced. Other than that the rooms are great, food is great and the service is great.

Good place to spend a weekend… reasonable price with some tasty food. Nice architecture. Friendly and safe enviroment.

Room was well spacious with private balcony and separate sofa inside the room. Wash room was really huge with modern touch. Hotel in overall is with modern look with remarkable interior designs. Food was tasty with vast variety to select from. Owns a long beach area and all rooms have a good sea view.

A few weeks ago, our family celebrated my mother's 80th birthday weekend at Citrus Waskaduwa. A special "Thank You" to Mr. Niran Ratwatte and his amazing team for making my mother and all of us feel so special, and for being so gracious and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed all the services provided by Citrus as well — wonderful food, spacious rooms, gorgeous pool, etc. What a memorable weekend! Thank you very, very much from the Soza and de Mel families.

Beautiful Hotel with an excellent cuisine and courteous Service. Beautiful well maintained and quiet garden, as well as a clean large Pool. Super conditions for a Relaxing holiday.

Loved the swimming pool! Rooms were very good as well as the facilities. The beach was just outside resort. Lovely place but only thing, the food wasnt good. (I am vegetarian) Also, Wifi is available almost everywhere in the premises.

Ok service, good rooms, excellent food, amazing beach, nice pool, but a bit to long to walk around Overall ok experience.

The service was very aweful. (especially his name was isuxx) My friend lost money in resort room while having dinner. Hence while you stay, u have to be careful of wallet. Also, They didn't have any rental car eventhough it is so far from Colombo city. Anyway everything was inconvenient and I think this hotel should educate their staffs again to be good resort.
