Wow, such a beautiful place! The staff are so kind and will meet you with a smile from the moment you get to the entrance. The rooms were amazing, I think we got the second or third room up. Such comfortable beds and the aircon keeps it at a great temperature. The main pool is kept cleaner than the one further from the beach and thus is more busy, but I enjoyed going for a swim in both pools. There's staff always hanging around who will give you towels. There's hawkers that hang around by the edge of the beach but they are no issue and won't hassle you if you tell them you're not interested.

It was the annual trip of our office. Upon arrival my first impression wasn't so good because of the old look of the hotel. But inside was nice and staff was helpful. It was a group of 13 people but they sorted out rooms quickly and handed over the keys. Finding the rooms is a bit of a problem as there were no signs for room number ranges. Had to ask 3 people for directions. Spacious rooms and well lit. Washroom was clean and no bad smell came out. There's 2 pools. One right at the lobby and the other one close by. The pool near the lobby dint had a Jacuzzi but the other one had. There was 2 of them but only one was functional. And there's a pool table in the 1st floor. And also they have a spa and a gym. on those 2 days the hotel was fully booked and crowded. But at the dinner, there was very calm and quiet environment. I don't know how they managed it but its very nice of them to have dinner with friends in a noise free place. Food is great (overall). Vast variety and there's everything. Have to mention the staff is very nice and descent. Works quickly and really appreciate that. I would definitely visit this place again. Recommended for anyone for a good holiday.

A good place to go to relax. The food is really good but the reason I give it 3 stars is that the place is now old and needs a lot of renovation. The staff are very helpful and courteous and the rooms are very cozy.

First I should say the welcome we had on arrival, it was amazing. Secondly the food we had was a unforgettable memory. Wow the food was fabulous. Thanks to the front office staff and the F&B and the chefs. Highly recommend this hotel. The most amazing RM, I had ever seen to help my one and only issue. It’s clean and calm place to stay.

Beautiful hotel with very nice staff. The food was varied and healthy and tasty. Everything was very clean and well maintained. If I were to travel back to this area then definitely would stay at this hotel. If you want to get away from one of the beach — travel guides to excursions I can recommend Siri and Amal, here you will not ripped off and you make almost anything possible.

The hotel is fantastic, but in the area of service arrival upgradeable. Still give 5 stars. We arrived at 6:30 pm nothing to get drink sometime so around 8:30 pm we got coffee also at the pool bar I wanted to pay cash so we can get cool drinks here the Poolbar only opens at 10:00.
Siri was in the game, Siri is a Beachboy about 50 years old and actually the praline at the hotel. He got us drinks. We booked three private tours with him. He has sweetened our holiday with it. Money that has been entrusted to him has also been returned with currency exchange. Siri thanks again.
Also the service in the hotel was top a waiter can be very good German he is top. Also the chef always asks if everything is okay and there is still Vimukthi Ishan a young waiter who fulfills his duties more than. The facility is well maintained and also the rooms. Conclusion The holiday was a complete success. One more time when arrival the rooms are ready and three hours before the check in 50 dollars to be paid that is not that is service to the guest when the room is ready then it is done without money.

After our round trip we spend another 4 days to relax in the hotel. We have allinclusive booked and it was good. In the immediate vicinity there are few ways to go for dinner. The hotel has been around for years, but it also has its charm. The plant fits well into the environment and is not such a modern concrete bunker. The rooms are spacious and clean. The Esen is offered the N buffet form and is very tasty and versatile.

This place is fine if you want a huge hotel all inclusive package with noisy events. Not the quiet shoreline hotel I had hoped for after an active two weeks. Persistent staff looking for tips all the time and not great service. Meals average and cleanliness poor. Dated and tired.

I haven't stayed in a place as nice as this. The rooms were great, buffet food delicious and tons of variety. Very friendly staff and everything is so clean! Also high tea was great (afternoon tea) everything was delicious. Can't beat the pools, the beach and close to downtown. Also, the entertainment was great as well. I would for sure come back!

A really great hotel with impressive architecture. So I imagine the Palace of Knossos in its structure. You can feel comfortable here, everything is neatly maintained, which is by no means normal for this part of the world. The staff are unobtrusive but always present and anxious to meet the wishes of the guests in a timely manner. The grounds are loosely struckturiert, here there is a great garden with Glaris, birds and Varan, where everyone can find their individual place with sun beds. The beach starts right behind the garden. The kitchen is very good and varied. In my opinion, a hotel that attracts guests who are looking for a certain comfort and want to leave without exaggerated etiquette. One of the best hotels from the price/quality ratio I have met in Sri Lanka.

Just a note to say what a great time we had at the Heritance Hotel Ahungalla the staff were brilliant (special mention to all the reception girls who were just great, } the hotel was spotlessly clean the beach which was a stone throw away I never saw 1 piece of rubbish on it it was just beautiful. Can't wait to re book for next year Well done to the General Manager big hotel run to perfection.

Very friendly service, great food, Nice beach…

Rooms are good. Facility is very nice with lots of chipmunks, dragons and regular visit of monkeys. The staff is very friendly and always very helpful. The food is absolute top. The Heritance has an award-winning chef who has been present at every meal in the restaurant and has repeatedly presented between small extras. Touring book can best be found on the beach. We booked everything at Sunil and we were very pleased. Instead of a coach with 30 people we only made trips for two or four. Very Emphehlen! Thank you Sunil.

The hotel is great, though not new. The kitchen is above all praise.

Nice luxurious hotel in a nice setting with two swimming pools and several restaurants. Great rooms nice and good service. Only flaw the prices charged are a bit excessive especially as it is necessary to add the various taxes and services with few possibilities nearby to make the competition work.

Good caring staff. Quick respond when a request has maid. Large beach as well as large pool. Clean and clear. Rooms are perfect. Yummy foods. No of desserts for select.

Reception and service is great. Staff respond to the wishes of the guests. The two pools are also great. The plant isn't the latest, though. Bathing in the sea was not possible in the beginning of the sea in mid-October. The red "flag" was raised. One was also pulled very strongly into the sea. There were beautiful sunsets, however. Air conditioning and fan in the room has worked well. When showering, however, the hot water does not come constantly. Sometimes it gets hot, times colder. Some corridors are tiled and are slippery due to the high humidity and brush! It is alerted to it with signs. Price performance of food and drink is good. In the mornings and evenings there is a buffet with new things every day. There is a different programme at the poolside bar every evening. From good live music to an amateur black live show to bingo. Free Wi-Fi connection is fine. TV: About 10 channels. Sports broadcaster, BBC and also Deutsche Welle. However, the image often stopped and the sound continued to run.

Were here a few days in September. Nice room, very good food, very friendly staff, great beach.

One of the best hotel to relax in Srilanka with best deals. The swimming pool is absolutely amazing and the view is awesome. Free DJ and free cocktails to enjoy.

This is a very nice hotel spread out over the coast of Ahungalle. There's two large pools, a tennis court, table tennis, badminton court and billiards tables. There's also a mini library where guests have left books during their visits. The food is amazing! Service is good too.

The menu was fantastic and chefs pretty helpful. A certain chef named Skanda, saw my kid was picky, and proposed he will cook something for him. Which I really appreciate pretty much and was a really nice gesture. All of the staff was very helpful which was something that have not changed since I last visited here in 2011. All in all it was a good experience.

Great place to relax. The ocean is very good. The little sand on the beach and the water is not as salty as the Mediterranean Sea.
The staff smiles at the meeting and tries to please.

The Hotel we can only recommend. The staff is courteous, friendly and very open. The complex is well maintained and the Pools are directly on the sea is breathtaking. The animators organises daily games and Volleyball is hot. The food is super, the Cocktails, however, is getting used to. In the middle of the year, the Hotel will be renovated.

In my opinion this Hotel is one of the best in Sri Lanka what you can visit, the staff, and generally speaking, everyone here is very accommodating in every way. It is also paid particular attention to cleanliness and it is a good because it has, in my opinion, really get the feeling that this is the goal here, the welfare of the other I give this Hotel 5/5 stars, because the food is excellent and the rooms are very clean and every day cleaned up. I think it is worth a visit.

We had a wonderful time at heritance ahungalla. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is very good. At Christmas and new year's eve, there was a fabulous gala dinner. We will come back again.

Super Hotel, plant, clearly (not too big) and very clean. Staff very nice and attentive. Is rather quiet and is located directly on the beach. If you are looking for but the constant Action it is not wrong, is perfect for couples for rest / good to eat.

Food is awesome, fresh and great selection for every palette. Quick work out at the fully equipped gym and a long dip in one of the two big pools is a great way of relaxing.

Was a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and polite. Had a great time. Large spacious property. The pool time was enjoyable. Great buffet spread. Had been for a friends wedding which was beautifully and tastefully arranged by the hotel. Highly recommend.

I checked in to the hotel tonight and the first thing we noticed was how friendly, warm, caring and welcoming the staff were. Greeting us with big smiles and fresh juices. As I wasn't feeling well the staff prepared a room for us exceeding our expectations! Everything we served from the buffet was prepared well and I can't wait to try out their breakfast. I don't want this stay to end! Will definitely visit again soon!

This hotel is really really awesome. The view was awesome. We enjoyed the breathtaking beach. The staff we really close to us and the services provided by them were great n was helpful. The rooms were nice and warn made us feel the luxury what we expect from a class A hotel.

The common areas are very nice and the view fantastic, but the rooms need a bit of reform. The staff is very attentive and helpful. We have just spent three days in a dream celebrating our honeymoon.

It's a great hotel and I had a lovely stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Some hotels only treat foreign guests well and ignore Sri Lankan guests. But I found this hotel to be an exception. They treat all guests the same which was really nice of the staff.

Beautiful resort. Fantastic beach & excellent service! We were upgraded to a lovely suite and even provided extra beds for kids. Mr Chathuranga Dissanayaka at the reception went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy!
