The best decision we made on our wedding was picking Vinrich. We knew the moment we walked in that it’s the ideal place for us, it’s calm and quiet and very well maintained.
If anybody reading seeking help, We highly recommend Vinrich Lake Resort. Mr Chamila went beyond our expectations, to ensure a smooth reception, which was achieved with no wedding planner. He was exceptional, all he cared about was our comfort making sure we have the best day ever.
Also My comments here wouldn’t do justice to how good the food tasted. Hats off to Mr Chamila who helped us put together the best menu and add ons accordingly within our budget.
Over all it was a fabulous experience at Vinrich Lake Resort. It will always be the first place We would go to, for any occasion or celebration of ours in future. Thank you Mr Chamila and team for everthing.

I had my wedding 17 days ago at Vinrich Lake Resort. We highly appreciate the support and the service given by the hotel staff. Nice hotel for an outdoor wedding. Most of our guests where surprised to find such a nice hotel and location away from Colombo. Our guest also commented that the food was better than they had expected.

I stayed at Vinrich for a few days while I attended a wedding there. The location right on the river and the service is excellent, as the staff are incredibly helpful in responding to queries and providing room service. Their set up of the hotel for the wedding was fantastic as well.

Good hotel for wedding receptions. Plenty of room for a wedding garden party. Good selection of food which is very tasty too.

A great place to take your wedding. They have a huge hall upstairs without pillars and much more space. Convenient attractive location and friendly staff. Highly recommended for visit.

Really nice place in a “private” looking space… loved the hotel… no so crowded so it was a very good experience. Almost a private pool and a shady grove for yourself.

Nothing much to do here, rooms are extremely expensive. Food is average! You can enjoy the pool ONLY over at this venue.

Ravi and the team, thanks a lot you made our St Peters Welfare Members Family get together a memorable one. Lets start from the welcome drink its was a awsome fruit punch a mix of apple, pineapple, watermelon, papaya this is what I could taste once again it was wow and woww I Like It! The receptionist was very friendly and quick on her work awsome again. … The stewards was very punctual and very responsive didnt hear a "NO" from anyone of them. The bites and the quantity is amazing and tastes finger licking good, the lunch was tasty and everyone had very good comments. Not to forget the Animator he did a wonderful job to entertain our kids and ladies thumbs up again. And the pool seems to be well maintained. Overall family day outing experience at Vinrich is awsome!

We spent one night there. Room is comfortable. Staff is good but delay in providing service. Food is good but spicy. Have good locations to get wedding photographs. Everything is clean.

Rooms are clean and well equipped with all the required facilities. Staff is friendly, efficient and attentive. Food is delicious and the portion sizes are pretty decent. They also provide outdoor seating facilities by the lake that provides a great view. Perfect place for a quick getaway from the busy day-to-day schedule.

There's so many good things about this place that I don't know where to start. Let me start with great location. The location is excellent and only 1hour and 30min away from colombo, the vinrich lake resort is exactly like in the pictures, even better, the cleanliness, comfort and overall feel of the place are on point.

Sunday Buffett package is best. Good pool, excellent food for affordable price. Had several get to gathers here. Lake view, boat rides, Calypso band.

Attended for a function held here. Function hall can easily accommodate more than 100 people. It air conditioned and is very comfortable. Has Clean wash rooms and adequate parking for vehicles. Food is not bad but not too good either. Can arrange for a function here at a reasonable price.

This is a fine place for get together Tables set up outside by the river under the shade is quite comfortable with slight wind. Pool Also placed next to these outside tables good access to everything from the pool. Buffet also placed near the same area much conveniently located. Enough parking available in hotel front as well as in a near location. Buffet was competitively priced with three course meal. More snacks available with additional small pay.

We are glad we choose Vinrich Lake Resort for our post wedding party. Hotel is situated away from the noise & pollution, by the Bolgoda lake.
Three things we liked about the service offered. 1. All dealings with hotel management was smooth. Mr Ravi was helpful through out the process and we felt comfortable knowing everything is handled professionally. … 2. Food & service at the event was really good. Food was delicious and fresh. We had our wedding on Dec 7th 2017. Superb service. Friendly staff. 10/10 delicious foods. Flexible management. Nice location for an out door Wedding.

Quite environment and peaceful place. Nice tidy place. Food is good. Staff is helpful. But there is a some repair work going when I visit. That is little disturb. Pool and other facilities are ok. In there day out package they offer a ice coffee in the evening. And the cake they served is not much delicious.

The best place for the day outs and even a stay if there is no wedding functions. Spacious room with all mandatory amenities, worth for the price. A good view from the rooms which are faced to pool and river. Common area in room needs to maintain properly. Food — Tasty not bad, Sunday buffet is having lots of variety… Food is tasty but somedays food not much tasty. Pool was good but recently it's too much of chlorine and some tiles were broken… hope it's now repaired and chlorine issue also sorted. The manager Mr Ravi is very helpful and staff also the same… try to come few days but hotel was fully booked with private functions.

Great place with calm and quiet surrounding. Service of the hotel is good. You can have a nice view of bolgoda lake while having your lunch. Staff is friendly and polite. As the hotel is located away from main road, no vehicle noise will distract you. All the facilities are available for very reasonable price. Olivine Reception hall at 2nd floor was the best selection of my wedding. A spacious car park is in the hotel so that none of the guests had any trouble with parking. There is an additional car park of the hotel which is about 20m away from the hotel. I am giving 5 star rating considering overall experience I had in Vinrich Lake resort.

Went for a day out and to a wedding. Food is excellent. Stayed whole day, had fun in the garden and in the pool, they gave us 2 rooms, they didn't allow us to take liquor outside as it was a poya day. At the wedding, the hall was spacious, food is excellent. Friendly service.

Was a wedding. Food was great but time to time electricity went off and they realy dont have a good back up system. Even though there was a generator. Time to time electricity drop gave a 10 min breaks to start the generator which caused the whole dancing session a total fail. And the mood of the visitors went off and some people left thinking its end. More importantly mood of the bride and groom became realy bad… Unless this defect everything was fine.

Place is really good. However the food is not up to the mark. Crab soup was very salty and some of the dishes had a strong garlic taste. If you take the day outing package, which is somewhere around 1400/=, you will get a welcome drink, lunch buffet, evening snacks and the pool.

Superb view and well mannered staffs very nice place to stay and the price is reasonable you will never forget the days if you stay here. Colombo weather is little bit heat but comfortable rooms and trees and lake side tables never make you feel that, always the food is good, specialy battered fried handala and mutton curry is wow and boating facilities also available so you can full fill your tour with fun and the nature.

Nice location to relax and unwind… let me start with the POSITIVES — Hotel looks new and the garden was beautifully laid out with grass. The waiter who served us was great… cannot remember the name, however, was very helpful and friendly. The Food — some dishes were great and some were good but not so great. This is all I can say as good and positive… Now let me talk about the NEGATIVES — We a group of 6 and two kids came to spend the day at this hotel. On arrival we booked a room and requested to use the pool and F&B services. We were asked to pay Rs. 350 for each individual for 2hrs to use the pool. So we paid for 6 adults. At the pool side I requested for pool towels and very negatively the pool attended said "NO we don't give pool towels you have to bring your towels" for a moment I was annoyed by that comment. So I said I have paid for the pool and I expect your service of providing me with same. He kept on saying no not possible. This is the first time that I came to a hotel that doesn't give pool towels for guests. I inquired from the receptionist and her response was the same… This got me more annoyed and I opted to speak to the Hotel Manager. I walked into his office and told him what happened. Surprisingly, he gave me the same answer. He said the best I can do is give you two towels for us to share. This is absurd to come from a Manager. Share towels? Seriously… I said thank you very much and left his office and wanted to check out.

Great place for get togethers with family or a bunch of friends. Relaxing and a calm environment with a Pool that is good size and a big garden and sheltered outdoor siting areas close to the lake. Food quality is reasonable for the price paid. Ideal for weddings as well.

Very bad hospitality to visitors… Though it shows that it is recomended by trip advisor it is fake. Come in a prado if you want to have a drink. If you walk just because you are nearby then you are not allowed to have drinks. Same applies to the hospitality. Such is the treatment for regular people. Hear are a list of recomended places nearby 1) Thotupola 2) Dampe village 3) Palm Jardin This place does not deserve a single star.
