Excellent location. The Level as a concept was exactly what we were looking for, plus we had the advantage of our balcony opening out to it! (Room no 1053). Staff were excellent and were attentive to our needs. The free gifts of chocolates and sweets and water were most welcome. The free bar at The Level was well stocked, as well as the free tapas. The patio area outside The Level looking towards the Castle and beach was breathtaking. A very enjoyable 4 days. We will definitely be back!

Great hotel. Just stayed 3 nights and it ticked all the boxes. We had a sea view room which was much bigger than we’d expected and very clean. Breakfasts were excellent — so much choice and good views to the castle and the sea! The pool is on the small side for the size of the hotel but it’s still big enough for most I would imagine. The reason it’s not an issue (for us at least) is that the beach is right on the doorstep. Very close to lots of excellent restaurants and bars too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel and staff are extremely helpful, we have never in 25 years gone to the same place twice, this is our fourth stay with Meliá Alicante as so accessible to everything, it’s all a stone throw away and staff are lovely and couldn’t be more accommodating x.

Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful especially Rocio waitress on the level who is always smiling. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the complimentary snacks and drinks make it a really brilliant experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Next time we will upgrade to a sea view. Also check no weddings as the disco went on until 3am, although the hotel did apologise and provide a fruit platter to our room.

Excellent high quality hotel. Our room overlooked the sea. It was an outstanding view. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Outstanding breakfast with lots of choice. Sadly, no sun lounging area, so if you don't like the beach there is no alternative for sun bathing at the hotel. Despite this, we will return.

This hotel is in a fantastic location . Near the city centre and shopping centre by 5-10 min taxi ride. Stunning crews of the marina. A couple of issues no real and coffee/ kettle in room. I was waiting an hour for our room to be ready other then that the conceirge, cleaners and reception all very friendly. Yet to discover the pool and gym tomorrow.

The hotel is spectacular, the food is great. I recommend the octopus rice. The treatment of all the hotel staff is exquisite. I congratulate you because it is an ideal place in all respects.

The room very well super clean but not detailed on the weekend that we have passed from Valentine's Day not a single detail at dinner nothing of anything not even a glass of cava or something nor in the room nor be a rose or something since when we booked we were told that it was a themed dinner of the day of lovers but nothing very bland everything and otherwise the parking does not they have one of their own from the hotel the car we left in one of the lows of the hotel told us that they would give us a discount for being staying and they charged us 20 euros for a day of parking because I do not know how much it is worth without discount.

Only had one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had one of the best meals we have had in our many years (pre covid) of travelling. Matr'd went over and above to help us and the waiter was great.

The location of the hotel is Top, the room overlooking the sea beautiful, the pool clean and well maintained…
just a pity that there are worries about:
Electricity
Light bulbs that are broken
Defective door handle
Badly fixed faucets
Zero night service (we asked for a cushion and a blanket but obviously impossible at night) amazing for a 4 Star.

I can not recommend this hotel. The hotel is closed and they are refusing to refund the money I already paid. Customerservice is slow and very poor.

Refusing to give refunds due to the Hotel being closed. They are legally obliged to do so and they are now ignoring emails requesting a refund. Shocking customer service.

Service on the level really not as good as other Melias with level. Sadly down to one very unhelpful receptionist. Gave the wrong room then had to call 5 times to get the luggage. Waited for 1 hour 30 to get luggage.

Perfect location and Melia service.

Melia is in an ideal position, flanked on one side by the beach, and opposite is the beautiful Marina. It is a pleasure to return to Melia Alicante, nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff, we always enjoy our stay. For something extra special, try the Level!

Great location right beside the beach. Rooms very comfortable with great air conditioning. Very good bar where they know how to make a cocktail. Pool area could do with more sunbeds but overall a great place to holiday.

I emphasize above all else the spectacular views of our beach of the Postiguet. The room is stunning and very current. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. The best hotels of Alicante.

The Level is worth the extra upgrade rooms are nicer and the Level bar is very relaxing.

Our last night in the fabulous Meilá hotel Alicante (2/9/18) after a 10 night stay, second time staying here & please God will return again next year 2019, food, staff are all just amazing, love that hotel is on the beach & a short walk to the city. We had a side room view facing the marina which I didnt like & asked to be moved to a front facing room, hotel was full but next day we were moved to room 4034 on the fourth floor which was/is as we're still here just fabulous, cant wait for next year, thanks to all the friendly staff for a wonderful time, see you all next year, Marie & john Fitzgerald Ireland x.

Very nice hotel. Everything is cleanly well-groomed, delicious food, although for breakfast in the morning there are queues. Next to the hotel is a beach, casino, disco. As the hotel is in the city all the attractions are within walking distance! Be sure to go to the fortress of Santa Barbara on foot! We had a beautiful view from the balcony to the yacht club.
There are not any disadvantages, but it is necessary to keep in mind that because it is a city on the weekend on the beach a lot of people. Maids can sometimes forget to clean the room. (There was once in 2 weeks in the last 2 hours of living). But for me, it's a little thing.

Everything was broken in our room. The balcony door, the wardrobe door, the shower head, the water didn’t go through the drain in our sink. Service was okay. The best part about this hotel is the location. It’s right next to the beach and walking distance to most tourist attractions. Hope they fix the room soon!

The experience was great at the Meliá Hotel. The view is amazing and the location is excellent to enjoy Alicante 's beach, commercial and party area. The room service was really professional and always ready to help. I would definitely go there again. A good point is also the restaurant. Amazing attention and sometimes, live music.

My family and I stayed here for three nights! The main reason why I am giving a low rating is because of this main reason. We checked in on super warm day. As we entered the room we were hit with warm humidity. We set the thermostats in both rooms to 16 degrees to get the room cooler. About 40 minutes later the thermostat still show 23 degrees in the room. So we call the front desk and they send up a technician to fix the problem. The tech cleans two filters and the air blows more but it’s still warm air blowing. Then explained that we can not set the temperature but only the fan speed. So in other words, the thermostat and it’s function of lowering the temperature is just a decoration. I have two small boys (1 and 5 years old) and I can’t cool them down. We end up going down to the lobby to cool the boys down. We paid close €1000 for three nights with no AC. I hope that the managers at this hotel rethinks their money saving procedures; because this is not it. On top of sweating in the room, we could not sit in the balcony because the big glass pieces that was installed to protect us from falling down had a big crack in one of them. And to finish I must say that the room service menu needs be upgraded too. We ordered pizza and it was made on pre-made flat breads, so not fresh dough. And the tortellinis were frozen and heated. The croquettes were deep fried to a burn and we even found hair on one dish.

Many elderly holidaymakers seemed to enjoy their stays at this hotel.

The Hotel was ok. But the staff was rude, unprofessional, and the Management has tried everything possible to get extra money from the event to cash in. All the Details you have discussed with Alex verbally must be carefully checked in the contract. The main details have voted for us and that is why we have signed good heart, because we have discussed everything for an hour and it can't be that he changes all the details again. But in the end, the times, number of invitees, etc. Were completely different. Alex was also prior to the event in the holiday and here we came to check on the final touches, and there was his Boss, and she said no, that is not so-and-so, and these things cost extra, etc. So after much discussion with her, we would have to stay pay extra to halfway on the original Plan. A day after the event, we get a bill in the amount of 200€, because according to the event Manager extra people had to have eaten. As we have asked for the proof, because our guests were not all there, you have us a sheet with the session plan display but nothing visual, and at the end of the Manager from the Hotel came and told us with full impudence, either you pay now or I call the police! I even had to later, when I went to pick up the car from the Garage, an hour-long rum, is not to discuss the 25€ fees are to be paid, although it is quite clear in the contract that it can be parked for 24 hours for free.

Not bad, just a bit expensive given the location. Tons of annoying English tourists, but that seems to be par for the course. Upgrade to The Level is probably worth it unless you're simply seeking a bed to sleep in.

We met a group of friends to celebrate Christmas food for more than 7 years and every year we are surprised with something new. Nice and friendly. Very complete and varied menus.

A very nice view. It's a very cozy hotel. The restaurant Terra has the staff very professional and the food delicious and reasonably priced well. I recommend it.

It's not worth what it costs. The day that we broke down the hot water to the entire building, it was the light in the dining room at breakfast and practically there was no one with responsibility to offer a public apology, left the entire problem to the counter staff while manager was hiding in the firm despite indications of their peers; pathetic. In the end they did me a discount… and since; that if you wanted something more, they offered me an "upgrade" for the next time.

Really nice place in a great location, very well maintained and clean. Room had "Queen bed" which was just two pushed together but not a problem. Breakfast buffet is amazing with everything you can think of and dinner also had a large choice selection. Bar is reasonably priced and even room service isn't so bad. Right on the sea front and marina with great views.

Good hotel with spacious rooms, clean and functional. The lounge breakfast and dinner with great views to the beach of the Postiguet. The staff is friendly and attentive. Every day there is a paella on the menu and very rich. At the restaurant Terra a few dishes are great served with detail.

We were in the Hotel the weekend of 2 and 3 March. Typical chain Hotel hotel of to-day, functional, large, but cold and very little staff. A lot of glue to remove the key, and more queuing to pay. I was impressed to see a bottle broken with all of its contents on the terrace of the entry next to the seats, and 3 hours later no one had cleaned.

Nice hotel in Alicante can be a little too big so wait for breakfast in the morning and also at meal hours but hotel facing the sea beautiful sunset.

We got here yesterday with higher expectations than what this hotel has to offer. The hotel is under construction, the hotel has no car park but has car parks around it that you have to pay, the hotel has no swimming pool and no gym. The hotel looks very old and communist, actually nice for a 3 star hotel but for 5 stars is not good at all! This hotel deserves 3 stars because it has decent facilities. The people at reception are VERY arrogant except for one girl, the rest of the staff don’t say hello and don’t engage at all. The rooms are very nice for 3 star hotel but has no 5 star standard, very cold and basic. The hotel maangement needs to visit a real 5 star hotel and see what 5 star means. The prices are extremely high for what the hotel brings. Alicante is beautiful and the location of this hotel is wonderful but I would rate this hotel 6 out of 10.

What to say about the Hotel Meliá we were treated super well we came from an airline that had cancelled the flight then as full board rooms good the best the price the attention as far as the entrance meters and Derma hotel services lovely and nothing all Very clean very neat always attentive if we were missing something maybe the only thing that would not be positive is that coming from the cancellation of a flight the food menu was not the hotel menu itself but otherwise all great good location good treatment good service.

Really nice hotel, however one or two little thing caused me to to drop it one star. You have to request the use of an iron, no kettle in the room and the usual over price mini bar. On the good side the the contemporary designed rooms are nice and spacious. The staff are lovely and rooms are cleaned every day. Really good location and easy to get to from the airport, the C6 bus is cheap and drops you off at the hotel. Loved our stay here and would use again.

The hotel has no soundproofed rooms could hear the TV in the adjoining room so I didn't need to turn on our TV to volume, not at all for a 4 star hotel. If you don't mind this, I can recommend the hotel. Everything else was excellent.

Unbeatable situation. To Carballo of the beach and the leisure zone of the port, next to the fabulous Esplanade Promenade of Alicante, with quantity of bars, shops and cafes with its crowded terraces. The hotel as all the Meliá terrific.

I had my 50th Birthday there at the weekend and the staff did an amazing job. Alex organized it for me and he was so professional and helpful. The waiters were really friendly and the food was fabulous. Most of my friends stayed the night and everyone had a great time. The breakfast was great too. Thank you so much to you all for making it a fabulous party for me.

Very centrally located hotel right in the centre of the city and located at the port of Alicante. Great view of the sea if you have a room with a side there. Otherwise, there is a view of the city and the big marina. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything in the category is available. You have a very pleasant atmosphere from the restaurant right by the sea to relax. Everything within walking distance, the big promenade or the old town and the castle all in a radius of 500 m. 100% recommended.

Good view, spacious room, but no bidet. The luggage transport is still very small, however you carry, with your corresponding tip. In summer, the beach is next door, and in winter too; However, the hotel is centrally located. The TV did not work well, and after several days you are a phantom charge.

I really do not advise at all this hotel, you are waiting in line for breakfast, at 8:00 in the morning you are awakened by the work of the hotel. The cleaning service comes into the room early morning, no insulation in the rooms, you hear everything! He really doesn't deserve his four stars. Apart from the view (and still you have to take a sea view room) There is nothing interesting.

Rooms spotless and cleaned every day. Staff very pleasant especially in bar/lounge. Breakfast amazing, such a choice and really fresh. Would certainly recommend this hotel. Pleasantly surprised. Only criticism is that they are renovating part of hotel and noise is quite bad (morning and late afternoon). Apart from that no complaints whatsoever.

Very unhappy, I slept 2 nights in this hotel in early October. My bank account has been debited three times and no one restores this hassle despite many raises! If I had not had this inconveignant I would have put a better comment. It's unacceptable.

Excellent location We have been on the fifth floor in a room with a terrace overlooking the beach and the castle. Functional room very nicely decorated. And the breakfast was frankly fine. If we go back to Alicante we may come back here with the kids.

Amazing all around. Good staff. Good food. Right on the beach. Good location. USB ports and AC in the rooms. The blackout curtains really do black out the light from outside. However they also have sheers underneath in case you want some light but also a little privacy. Pool overlooks the beach.

Terrible bad service by the front desk. When I arrived at the hotel late 21/9 as part of a group. The hotel had made a mistake with my booking and there was no room for me. Only explanation from the receptionist was that they had no vacancies. Had to arrange a hotel at 02:00. There was absolutely no help getting from the hotel. I will NEVER book hotels again here.

Been here many times and as always excellent service and quality. Friendly staff and very helpful excellent position in Alicante between the beach and the marina.

Love this hotel, love the location and the staff and very friendly. The selection at breakfast is just amazing and all the amenities are what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. We have recently returned from a weeks break here and this was our 3rd time. I would have given it a 5 out of 5 except for 2 areas of concern.
1) the lifts. They are not great. They say that there is a maximum of 6 people per lift and an alarm will go off if more get in but one evening coming back f…rom a night out there were just 4 of us in the lift and it stopped between floors. We were stuck for 15-20 minutes. Quite scary especially when there is no air con in the lift. The staff were amazing afterwards, even gave us a late check out for free but this shouldn't have happened in the first place.
2) The air con — all the rooms come with air conditioning but it's not very powerful and it has to be on for a while before you feel any benefit. Despite these 2 areas we are still going to go back to the Melia and can't wait!

Great sea view room on the 5th floor with a small but adequate balcony with two seats and a table. Great for sunrises. Breakfast was included and had a good selection. Nice airy reception area and bar.

Me and my work team stayed at the Meliá for 2 nights, they were very welcoming. I would definitely stay there again, the pools are lovely and look out to great views. The gym is very basic though, not that I used it, also we wanted to play table tennis but they had lost the bats and ball. Overall it was a good stay.

The hotel itself is nice. However, we told the staff it was our honeymoon and they gave us a room with two twin beds. We paid 200€ to switch to a room with a king size bed. They told us they would move our luggage but no one ever came. It's a nice hotel but disorganized.

Located centrally and good if you like a mass tourism place. It starts already with the check-in, reminded us to the check-in at the airport. It was not ours. The room was clean although we think it was used for smoking before. Even though we had dinner included, we preferred to eat out and I can recommend the Bhodi Green which is located nearby.

It is in the center of the city and in the morning waking up with the noise of the sea waves is unique…

The room was large and very nice. The rest of the hotel should be refurbished once again. The lifts were a nuisance (long waiting times, a lift was out of service). Breakfast was very plentiful. The pool was very cool and also needed some renovation. The food in the bar was awful and expensive. The staff were mostly very polite and helpful, but we would have liked to have late check-out, but were given a few times in this request and instructed to come back just to get the message that unfortunately it is not possible. (In spite of free rooms on the webpage). At check out I was not asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I actually expect the question at check-out. A detail though, but I find it says a lot about hiring the staff. Maybe I'll come back, but I would check again the offer of other hotels seriously.

Low season, good weather there is no smell of polluted city thanks to the coast. Bell Hotel but you have to ensure the best to get the best.

Excelente cena y excelente atención tanto de los camareros como del jefe de sala, que nos guió en los platos pedir y nos indicó que la idea que teníamos para el cena era demasiada comida. Finalmente cenamos chipirones con cebolla caramelizada de entrante, y arroz con bogavante de principal. Bogavante trinchado y servido en mesa. Corrió de cuenta de la casa Delicias de Elche (con dátil, bacon y almendra) y un plato con salazóne, ibéricos y almendras. De postre tatín de pera sobre una crema de limón y hojaldre, acompañado de helado de vainilla. Con botella de vino blanco Puerto de Alicante, todo 47 euros. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Recomendable.

Could have been better. The swimming pool is fairly small but has a nice view. The room is comfy and has an amazing view on both side. There is no free late check out. It is at least €10/hour for late check out (at least that's what one of the reception told us). The breakfast was nice and the location is great. There is no buffet lunch or dinner and everything is a la carte. Not many to choose from room service menu and mostly are not Spanish dish. It is more cost effective and variety to go eat in town. It is only just across the hotel.

Went last year to Alicante and enjoyed it so much, (my girlfriend likes the beach and I like the city so it suits us both) went again this year. Booked at The Melia this year and have already booked for next year at The Melia for a longer stay and hope to go in 2017.

Nice hotel, crappy with the client, problems in the room, changed the same, last evening, we were not able to enjoy the swimming pool, as compensation we were charged 18 euros for a drink. Thanks.

Weddings do not, very poor service and attention, do not provide anything. Absurd things as 100 euros of rental for a vase where to put junk food. Ridiculous. I do not recommend weddings.

Holy room 3019 with precious views to the Postiguet Beach, with air conditioning, is very spacious and there are couches to sit, place big television with remote control and a safe in the closet.
Better catch rooms that give to the beach, which overlook the Marina, well, but most advise that give to the Playa del Postiguet.
Well be eating in the restaurant Terra and the breakfast room is eaten nice seeing the beauty of the Mediterranean.
The pool is very nice, see the beach, but that amount of children, my mother!
When you're going to give you a pic nic for the trip consisting of an Apple and two sandwiches, I was crying for post holiday depression, my wish is to return.

Location is everything. A 2 minute walk to the beach (which is very nice). The bar makes an excellent Gin and Tonic. The rooms are acceptable and cleaning is good. The personnel could be better at English since not all tourists speak Spanish. Breakfast is what's expected for this type of hotel.

The room was fine (though not very quiet), and the location is good for the city center and the beach. However, the hotel is extremely poorly managed and run, to the point that it can ruin the experience — so much so that I would recommend against staying there. There are plenty of other options in Alicante. They have it set up such that you have to go to the reception desk to get anything done — even things like getting a towel for the pool, which isn't even anywhere near the reception desk. Of of many trip to the reception desk, the typical wait time in queues was on the order of 30 minutes or more. This includes check-in. Imagine standing in line, travel-weary, and holding all your luggage (they don't have a secure place to leave it, for example if you get there early and want to go out and about) just to check in. We also had a simple problem with our room (the safe was broken). After they diagnosed it and determined that they need to just replace the safe (it isn't bolted down). They said on a couple occasions something like "wait 30 minutes, " only to never come. We spent nearly a whole day of our short vacation waiting for staff to do their jobs. The reception staff was not only unresponsive to guest needs, but they were also misinformed, which is worse than just being uninformed. For example, they told us the wrong opening times for the main tourist attraction (the castle), which, as it turns out, we could have done.

Very well kept hotel in great location. Rooms are a good size and were kept clean. Everything you've heard about the breakfast is true, price includes FREE CAVA.

Hotel exceptional mind located, very good views, breakfast buffet good and great views in the dining room, highlight the excellent friendliness of all the staff: flats, receipt, catering etc.

While it has aspects of a quality hotel, the staff and the bar service, the rest of the facilities do not correspond to a hotel 4 star, or to the price that is paid.
The hall works, the nightclub that has very close and annoyed by the nights, and the old and poorly maintained facilities make it disappoint us stay in this hotel, despite being located in a privileged place, in first line.

This hotel is located in a prime location on the beautiful Alicante beach, with wonderful views from both sides of the hotel. Unfortunately, the do not turn on the AC so rooms heat up over 80 degrees. The only way to cool them down is to open the doors and then you have to hear the all night partying, clanging on dumpsters, car horns, etc. During our stay we had to move our room at 1am as it was infested with ants and the management did not spray earlier in the day when we first noticed them. From our deck at night, as we tried to cool off the room, we noticed young men and women urinating in and among the dumpsters below our balcony. This went on all night. Its a shame that a hotel with such potential is so poorly managed.
