Villa La Plana

A holiday home with a great soul, ideal home for our three young famillies. Don't expect the finishes to be immaculate but none of that mattered one bit because the location, views and atmosphere of the old house are great.
Our host was welcoming and atentive to our needs. Would recommend to anyone in similar situation.

Location is beautiful and whilst being rural is not that far from shops and restaurants in Pollença.
The owner is great and has fixed things that needed fixing when we arrived. It is not luxurious but typically Mallorcan. As a group of 12 we’ve been able to cook, swim, sleep, and relax with no problems. Plenty of places to sit outside and life has centred around the sheltered table that comfortable sits 12 outside by the bbq. Finally, we were here during the scorching heatwave and thankfully the aircon in the bedrooms proved effective.

Incredible location nestled at the foot of picturesque mountains within sprawling orange groves and managed by the most fantastic, helpful people…
… Sadly though the accommodation is lacking in almost every area! The decor is worryingly dated, the grounds are dangerously unkempt and the whole place needs urgent modernisation. The showers were useless and filthy, the beds were horrific and cheap and the pool hadn't been maintained. Cooking for yourself isn't possible because there are only 8 sundae dishes, 3 salad bowls and a variety of ornate goblets (no chopping board or a consistent number of plates in sight! ).
The villa itself is around 6 minutes from the nearest shop and just a tad further from the local town. Taxis are inexpensive and finding it, via the cheese shop next door, is simple enough. Hopefully the owners make determined efforts to improve the standards because this could be a jewel in Pollenca's crown!
