We were not guests at this hotel, but had ordered a cocktail at the publicly accessible hotel bar which was mixed with us and brought to the place on the terrace directly in front of the beach (it was around ca. Mid-September). In the end I wanted to go to the toilet briefly and the restaurant manager refused me the way to the toilet, on demand, whether I was a hotel guest and I denied this. I explained briefly that we had eaten and paid for two cocktails (20 euros for two cocktails! ), whereupon I was warned that this would only allow hotel guests and that I was shown the way to the door. I again kindly asked if it was really not possible to use the toilet for a short time after we were paying guests who were "accidentally" sold a cocktail. Then again a clear "no" and I should go please. I think that this is an absolutely unacceptable behaviour, which has been revealed here and that is far from good etiquette. For the first time, the hotel's outdoor bar is open to the public and there was nowhere a sign that would have pointed out that it is not allowed to order here as a non-hotel guest and we have not spent as hotel guests, but only ordered two cocktails and Paid (plus tip! ). Even if the sale of the cocktails was a mistake, it should not be dealt with paying guests and certainly not one should get the door shown, just because you want to use the toilet for a short time after having eaten for 20 euros! When we were drinking the cocktails (and we were so happy our last evening…), we had said that the Melbeach is very good for us and we will definitely consider coming here on our next short trip in our very stressful professions. This is probably done, here we definitely do not leave! There are other hotels with more luxury and better trained staff! The Jack.
