Review of Apartamentos Cordial Mogán Valle 3*

Having spent two weeks in a two bedroom apartment I’d have to say that there are no regrets! A really spacious apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with twin sinks). A very usable kitchen area, a living room and a very large balcony with out door dining table and sun beds for four. I must admit though that without wanting to purchase the air con unit hire (the reason being that you had to vent the unit outside, leaving a door open overnight and cockroaches could wander in) the ceiling fans were rather useless. Having left the door open over night on the first night, my husband woke up with a fright and a cockroach on his chest! We weren’t going to risk that happening again! We stayed bed and breakfast with the plan to mostly eat out but also wanted our own cooking facilities should we need them. The breakfast selection for those inclusive / bed breakfast was impressive every day. We looked forwards to breakfast and enjoyed the variety. The kids especially enjoyed the pools but they were extremely busy! Having struggled to get a sun bed for almost a week, we reluctantly tried the leave a towel on the beds trick, on returning to the beds we found cards saying that reserving sun beds around the pool in this way was not allowed. I’m afraid if you use your manners though you are very unlikely to get a sun bed! We also found that the pool bars were understaffed especially in the children’s splash park area, it was far quicker to go to another bar for drinks and bring them back than to wait at that one. All in all though a good apartment block/hotel, as a family we decided that we prefer somewhere smaller with a more personal touch as in hotels of this size you really are just a room number in a sea of people.
