Review of Casa León Royal Retreat 4*

Beautiful hotel! Super staff who are always happy and willing to help. I love discovering all the perfect little nooks and crannies of this place! Discovered something new every day. Very quiet, peaceful setting with plenty of space to lose yourself for a few hours in the sun each day. The hotel itself is stunning with fantastic views in every direction. The facilities are excellent. Pool spacious and with an infinity edge. There's a great tennis court with free racquet hire. Free mountain bike hire too and daily free activities such as yoga, aqua yoga and tai chi. There's a well equipped on site gym and games room with pool table, table tennis and giant chess board. Food … Is exceptional. Fresh dishes each evening and a lovely continental breakfast each day but with omelletes and freshly cooked eggs. One of the best omelettes ever actually. Dinner each day is stated in a lovely menu each morning. Every day is new and exciting, with beautiful fish dishes and often steak. Again, staff are wonderful. Rooms are spacious and almost all have a large terrace, although ours only had a small balcony. Still, despite a smaller room the bathroom had a double vanity sink and a bath and separate shower. Water pressure is high, maybe a bit too high as our shower flooded one day! Free shuttle into town if you haven't hired a car. Would recommend hiring a car though, either at airport or use the hotels own VW beetle convertibles, as you'll want to maybe go out and about for lunch. Highly recommend local restaurant Labrador. About 1.5 miles away. Side note, Hotel is highly catered toward the German market as everyone speaks German and Spanish, but we haven't found this to be a problem at all. Danke! Fantastiche!
