I have been here for about one week with my partner. The staff is very nice and helpful. The cleaning service is very good and the breakfast service it's fantastic. You can have breakfast choosing among different types of food and the products served have a great quality level. I recommend this hotel if you go to Madrid and want to have a good and smooth holiday.

Following a stay purchased online we had the pleasure of discovering this sumptuous hotel. The staff are nice, the breakfast plentiful and all well maintained. Just a small detail that is not one in a hotel I found the bedding moderately nice I felt the springs of the bed … however I still leave him all his stars!

The location is pretty good, quite restaurant close by. The hotel has a bit of a classic style. The room is relatively small but not bad. Clean.

Great room and service. Staff was delightful. My only complaint was the room temp… too warm for me and I could not get it to cool down more.

I was not happy with my stay as my room was smelling full of smoke and the phone in the room was not working. I had to go down a few times to complain about it and although the entire hotel is non-smoking I had to keep my window open at night for the smell to go away. I would request the management to take strict action against people who smoke.

Nice Hotel near the stop of Argüelles and Plaza de España. In the heart of Madrid. Room with lots of space and with everything you might need. Very friendly workers. Satisfied!

Charming Hotel, located in a public garden of the district of Arguelles of Madrid and where there is no noise of the city. Hotel with art-deco design highly recommended.

Good location as it is near a Metro station in the city but it is lacking in customer service in all aspects and the rooms are jaded & small for its star rating.

Decent, (in a good way) old-fashioned hotel in a centrally located neighbourhood.

The hotel is well located in the small square of a residential area, the rooms have all the comforts and they are in good condition, in reception they give a very professional service and they are friendly, the breakfast room is not very spacious, has the ceiling relatively low, and as constructive criticism we experience that only offers buffet breakfast at prices that are not in accordance with the budgets we handle the people who only eat bread and toast, for this small detail I understand that it is not a hotel to go with children, because if Not the bottle or morning porridge should be heated in the cafeteria in the area. On the other hand there is a wide gastronomic offer in the area.

Clean, there's everything you need.

The staff is not very friendly. You don't feel welcome. The size of the room is quite small. The mattress was not of good quality or was already old.
With regard to breakfast, it is not understood that coffee is so bad. The buffet is extremely basic and the coffee is unworthy of one hotel of that category. Can't they really offer coffee? A minimum of service for Lis who take the option with breakfast? I don't get it.
I expected a lot more. I'm not coming back. I will certainly try my luck in another establishment when I return to Madrid in two weeks.

Good location a few minutes walk from the center, the staff very friendly and breakfast with lots of variety and quality, the only thing a little negative is that the ceiling paint, at least in the room I was in, was pretty spoiled especially in the bathroom, but it is only aesthetic, I would return without hesitation.

I am really comfortable in this hotel, comfortable, spotless and with a wonderful and professional attention.

They are reforming the rooms, and I have had the pleasure of using it very well. They continue to maintain the style, but adding some touches of modernity (I love the speakers with Bluetooth connection that have put). A great hotel in a great area and well connected. I'm sure I'll keep using it.

Nice hotel, the staff is welcoming. The decoration creates a nice retro ambience. The room is more vintage and the sound insulation a bit fair (next to the elevator, party guests are unmissable). Late November, unable to lower the temperature of the same window open room)

Nice, old style hotel with a brass furnished lobby and classic bar. Sizable, clean rooms with strong Wi-Fi, a decent buffet breakfast and friendly service all round. The room walls are very thin, so it's easy to hear your neighbours, but it's mostly a polite, maturer tourist staying here, so I was woken early only once! The location is fantastic for trying the local bars and tapas tabernas, away from the tourist throng, but all the other must see places are easily reachable by good walk or quick subway/taxi ride. The room price seals the deal.

Hotel needs to improve decor, hallway, rooms are dark and working A/C needs to be installed. Disappointing that we had to change rooms 3-times and still rooms were extremely hot. Cleaning crew everyday removed key that we had left to keep room cool & still our message fell upon deaf ear. Breakfast lousy and very limited choices for vegetarian. Fresh fruit choice limited and location too far from city center, metro.

Standard room which has what you can expect without being flashy at an affordable price. The hotel itself has a nice atmosphere which is kept in a older more traditional style. Nice and helpful staff.

In a very good central location. Good value for money, clean and complete elegant rooms with every necessary comfort, breakfast. Very good for all tastes.

Long line for check in with only 1 person. Most hotels had all of the group checked in and we simply needed to get our room keys. This hotel needed passports, credit cards, etc. Very long process. The air-conditioning in the rooms was awful. The entire group said they lost sleep all 4 nights we were there because of very warm rooms. The bathrooms were also very small. The breakfasts were wonderful. The staff was great, although not enough at check-in. And Madrid was also very nice.

Very disappointed, this Monday, June 20, on the 23.00 h came to the room (after having left the suitcase previously in the hotel) to see that the room was not made, the sheets and towels used. After down to reception the boy me says that is only and that not there are no other room available, that has been a failed of the waitress that is thought that the customer previous not is had marched. It gives me a few clean sheets so I change them. Given the time, much to my regret, I decide to stay. I don't think again.
Very disappointed, dirty room at arrival: didn't change me the room nor clean it, had to change the sheets myself. Not coming back.

Went to Madrid for 3 days and stayed here. The staff was great and it was close to everything: restaurants, Metro, cafes and more. It was clean and safe. Would recommend a stay here!

Should update the bathrooms.

The Gran Hotel Conde Duque is neither shabby nor luxurious, neither central nor suburban. It is well kept up and, at 55 euros a night for a single, very well priced. I was able to check in shortly before 1 pm; asked for and was given a single on one of the top floors; found the soundproofing deficient but not disastrous and the water system temperamental (it knows no shades of warm between hot and cool) ; found the Wi-Fi signal strong and steady; and found checking out a chore, as the front desk was understaffed at 8 am (prime check-out time for a business travel hotel).

The reception is a little chilly, the guys working in the bar and restaurant are friendly. The room I have to sleep is old, it's broken everywhere. The hotel does not match 4 stars.

In my opinion, in order. A beautiful Hotel with a beautiful location. But the single rooms have only window to the light shaft, where not much light shines through. And the bathroom could be cleaner. The Breakfast was good.

Surprised by the Hotel, excellent location, delicious and really friendly, the relationship of the product with the same price is wonderful. Recommended hotel. It will not be the last time that you go to this place.

Pretty good hotel, nothing to say. Except for the receptionist. On our arrival, the receptionist (a man, very nice and competent) tells us that breakfast is included in the price we paid. Surprise for us. On departure day, the receptionist, (a lady quite rude and inattentive), charges us 102€ for 3 days breakfast. I explained what her coworker had told us. She denies, then says that normally it should have been inscribed in the computer, which it is not. Then she says that it is her coworker's fault, and that he should have proposed us a preorder deal at 84€. Nothing of the sort had been said. All this is dishonesty irresponsible and cowardice. I paid the amount and will not recommend this hotel on trip advisor. By the way, 102€ for breakfast is way too expensive. One can get much better at one third of the price, 100m from the hotel.

Easy walking around centre 10 mins to plaza. Perfect if you also have need parking or want to take pets. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are good and the beds very comfortable.

Not a 10 give it room for that in my point of view the cabinet doors need to be changed (are very very old).
Otherwise fantastic room, view incredible to the PLAZA! staff of 10 and the only thing I would recommend is to lower the price of the breakfast… €17 see it abusive.
So that no hotel offers a breakfast for clients that do not DEBORAMOS?
Priced at 3 — €4 for coffee, toast tomato and juice (which is the price that is worth in any bar) I see it much more reasonable to pay € 17…

We were greeted by friendly staffs. Our room was quite small but had a spacious bathroom. The library near the reception was a pleasant surprise. It would have been great for cozy reads — — even has a hardbound copy of Cervantes' the Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha — — but with our busy itinerary, it served better for photo ops. Breakfast was delightful with enough selection of bread and pastries (their churros match those of San Gines), paired with jámon, cheese, salmon, sausage, bacon and superbly fried egg. The quiet neighborhood, the charming plaza de Suchil in front of the hotel and the nearby tapa bars and mercado vallehermoso add credits to its location.

Located above the Plaza of Spain (10-15 minute walk) in a very quiet area.
It has parking adjacent hotel (19€ / day) and several metro stops very close to avoid the folly of getting drive around the Center. (the nearest to the San Bernardo just 3 minutes).
Area with services around if only pick the option of accommodation as we.

I think that this hotel has a unique beauty. Location very close to great shops and traditional pubs. Room was very clean, very suitable for a business trip to live, if that's what it takes, I'll go. Breakfast was fresh and varied. I ate a bar snack, but there are too many restaurants here that I will not be able to have dinner at the hotel.

For the "classic" rooms you have a view on the other hand quite nowhere, full of facing backyard, overlooks a heavy machinery… But double glazing + curtains play their role very well.
Breakfast, served until 11: 00.
Nickel, clean and functional bathroom.

It comes in a direct metro from Avda. America to St. Bernard, the hotel is on the next block, in a very quiet street. The area has many bars and restaurants in a few blocks around. The mattress as I like :"al dente", firm and comfortable in a room on the seventh floor very bright. The breakfast is varied and complete, with zone diet, although the area of salty I like more. Orange juice natural. The team of reception and coffee make you feel at home, although I was by work! Highly recommended!

Very happy with the hotel, decor and quality actually achieved, practically transports you to look at the details. The extensive use of wood makes it warm and the work of marquetry tell you that this is a hotel with uppercase letters. The burger ox of the cafe is expensive but superb, the pincho moruno is left to eat.

It's a clean and good, comfortable hotel.

I have had the pleasure of being in this hotel and I liked it quite a bit, both for the treatment of people as your comfort and peace of mind. The price is within the normal, and their services are good. Recommended and above all very comfortable to spend a few days.

An excellent location and total tranquility of the area, nice decor, all services catering, cleaning and good care received, prices are quite normal, not like in other hotels in the area that were demsaiado expensive) and instead has a very reasonable price.

A'hote modest but well to spend a few days in madrid. Are big hotels and you can choose between many different rooms and styles. The prices tambient are not evil and all the people who serves you will note that they are very good at what they do sullo and are outstanding to you at all times. It comes well from any site with a car and walk away.
