Definitely a hotel to recommend, excellent service, very good breakfast, super friendly staff, they allowed us to enter the room earlier and without a doubt that is to highlight since we were coming from a long trip. It is a Hotel in the heart of Gran Via, Madrid, very comfortable and very good extraordinary terrace and restaurant.

Take a tour of several countries in December, start there with you and in none of the hotels I found the breakfast buffet as varied and complete as with you, really delicious, I loved the Spanish delicious potato omelette, all excellent, treatment and facilities, I hope I can return, congratulations, greetings from Mexico, thanks.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing. A 10 for the hotel staff. And the location of the hotel could not be better, at 120m Teatro Lope de Vega in Gran Vía.

Let me clarify, we didn’t stay at the hotel, but we ate at the restaurant GastroVia61. It was an amazing meal, the service was flawless. We had a few small plates and shared the steak tartare. We had no idea it was going to be prepared tableside. They seasoned to our tastes and we fought over the last bite. We highly recommend the croquettes, ceviche, octopus, and gazpacho along with the steak tartare. We didn’t save room for dessert, but will definitely be back to try the Sphere dessert.

Hotel rooms are comfortable. Situated next to Gran via street. Bathroom without bathtubs, only shower is available.

Third hotel, of the same category, of a trip organized in August. And third also in our approval rating. The location is great, the staff very friendly but the property needs a renovation, as far as the rooms and bathrooms are concerned. Especially some, little soundproof or even with a lot of noise coming from the technical systems. Non-functioning air conditioning.

Great hotel strategically located on the metro and in the center of the city.
It is easily reached on foot, or by means, the center and any other area of tourist interest.
I think renovations have been done recently, the room and the bathroom were obviously new, very well cared for renovations.
The overall setting is very elegant and well-groomed, looking more classic than the rooms.
Breakfast is varied and hearty, rich.
You can also take advantage of a buffet dinner, very good.
Dinner a la carte is also possible.
The staff are very friendly.

Very Small and slow elevators. The air condition is controlled by the hotel, and not by each room. Old rooms. The hotel is noisy, in front of police station. Not recomended for baby's. Simple Breakfast. Not recomended.

Didn't deserve 4 stars in my eyes.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were informed that the booked double room is not available.
But one can give us another. We agreed to this before we had to take care of another place to sleep.
Complete renovation work throughout the hotel. Stairs between 3rd Floor and 4th Floor were locked. Arrived in the room was the cleanliness in Odnung. Although here Gesprauchspuren of old anti were in the bathtub. First night at the hotel a disaster… our room was on the left side of the hotel. Next door is a "new girls Cabrett". Full volume from 10 o'clock in the evening temperature in Madrid were pleasantly warm around the 25 degrees. As a result, we were forced to leave the window open as the air conditioning in the whole hotel was not in operation (there was no weather for it) our stay went on for 5 days and there was not a night in which one was not woken up by any noise. (Be it screaming people or sirens of ambulances or employees who meant to empty the trash at half past three nights)
No trace of recovery…
The rooftop terrace, which is nicely touted, opens only in May.
The absolute highlight came naturally to the end. For the non-received booked double room and switch to another room a subsequent price of €75 was charged. Error from the hotel is nicely transferred to the guest.
Once and never again! Absolutely not recommended.

Good hotel with the best location just meters from the Gran via. Modern rooms and recycled bathrooms very modern attention excellent at reception and the restaurants and bars of the same.

On April 14th I celebrated my birthday on the terrace and could not get out better. Many thanks to AMPARO, who was the organizer, responsible for everything went great, surpassing all my expectations!. It was an amazing party, Amparo cared for every detail with exquisite kindness, both professionally and personally, as if the party was for her or someone from her family. Everything went great, the cocktail very varied and copious, the terrace was beautiful, very warm, changing color that gave a very elegant, cozy and festive atmosphere, the fountain gave a magical touch and was also ideal for photos with the background of Gran via and Ilum buildings Inados… The party was made until 23:00 on the terrace and then we went down to a lounge — disco to finish (for the risk of the cold was organized as well, although we could have been all the time on the terrace because it did not even a pinch of cold and that was sleeveless…, there were also hot spots all over the terrace. The disco was great too, with a show included that gave a lot of fun and here we had the advantage of being able to have the highest music and be able to dance. So another success!
I chose the best place to celebrate my birthday and the best organizer, Amparo. Infinite thanks for making an unforgettable and emotional party that I will always remember.

Very good location right in the centre, staff very nice and helpful, breakfast class.
The house and the rooms are really outdated, also the fountain in the lobby spread an unpleasant fragrance.

Central Hotel on Gran Via. Close to restaurants and shops. Very small rooms and not really modern. Bidet and shower lose water. The bathroom lacks adequate ventilation and the toilet parts are uncomfortable in using it's are old and ruined. The bathtub is all stained and has the shape of the anti-skid mat previously used. L air-conditioned but centralized. The view of the room was in an alley heaped with rubbish, soundproofing in the non existent rooms, very high minibar prices. The staff is courteous and helpful as everyone in Spain but only speaks Spanish. The cleaning times are a bit special and even at 6pm they can knock to clean. The lobby is very cozy and the breakfast is plentiful varied and well cooked. Overall an average facility with a little high price. The café costs 2, €50 at the hotel bar but it's great.

Warm visit to the hotel, excellent location, breakfast buffet, the restaurant is very comfortable cute and delicious, the rooms very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly always, Don Quixote Park one block underground to a few blocks and the Gran via just a few steps away. It was a pleasure to be with you! I recommend it widely.

I liked very much the Spanish heritage feel, the decoration, friendliness of staff and the great fusion modern-traditional food, although not all food items were so great.

An exquisite, romantic hotel. You have to see it. Many carnations. In addition to the good location, the piano ringing at the reception, a friendly welcome. Good info (they recommended the Chinese restaurant next door as one of the most famous, and it was great). The car parking at night somewhat expensive €32, so parked on the street. If you're not going to sleep, you can also have a drink at the cafeteria.

Although a single night is little to say, it is enough to value the room. I was in the 20, it is important to indicate it because each one is different, the room although interior was nice and frankly I felt comfortable, the fantastic bed and the space according to expected. Really good.

Good place to be able to go to see musicals. It is almost on Gran via without having the noise of it. The rooms are comfortable. I do recommend dining out.

The only reason that I don't give this place a 5 star is because we had an internal room with the only fresh air coming from an internal shaft where the kitchen filters are allocated and the temperature of the room was too hot and we couldn't control it.

Hotel dated and very decayed. Rooms not up to par, furnishings that look like recovery, dirty carpeting, clogged shower, overlooking a closed chiostra. Not all rooms have a bidet. Very bad restaurant, very friendly staff.

A four star hotel in the middle of Gran via and at affordable prices. I paid €95 the double room included the two breakfasts. It's the third time I'm going. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast also very good, you even have cava and wines, several hot dishes and very rich tarts. Oh, I forgot! Piano Music Live every afternoon which is what I liked most about this hotel when I met him. I'll keep coming every time I visit Madrid.

The hotel Mayorazgo is very well placed and more than correct. Madrid is an open-air museum thanks to its architecture and of course… Its museums and monuments.

We went to this hotel to hold company events for 3 years. Efficient and good service. Easy to solve any unforeseen. Unbeatable situation.

Very friendly staff. Very accommodating. Rooms clean. Beautiful view of town from 6th floor terrace. Food was good too. Currency exchange rate was same as nearby exchange companies like Western Union. I would return and recommend others to visit here too.

One of the worst hotel, I ever stayed in. Very old very smelly especially the carpet and they use a very annoying strong carpet fragrance to cover the smell from carpet and the result u can still smell the two smells clearly. You have to pay to use the safe box in the room.

It's been almost a year (October 2016) since I and my family (with two small children) were here. The hotel as a whole looks nice. But we had the WORST esperience with regards to service and how we were treated. Despite knowing that we are a family with small children, they placed us in a "family room" with view to a back-alley of a shady strip-club, with all kinds of "traffic" going on until the early hours. On top of that, the garbage containers were placed just beneath our windows so that we were hearing the banging at 3 am when the garbage truck was collecting the garbage in our first night! Just below us was the Banquet Hall where weddings and parties are held. So if we were not woken up from the calamity in the back-alley, we were kept up by the music and noise from below! The area in the hotel used for "family rooms" were previously stockrooms, which makes sense. When they expanded the management clearly did not take into account that less so than space, a family with small children needs a relative silence so that the children can sleep! Only when we brought the douvet and pillows with us to the lobby on the last night, and prepared to literally sleep on the sofas there, did the Hotel offer to relocate us! The manager did not have the guts to face us herself, and left it to her junior staff to deal with our fury! Their security guard at that time was very impolite and was even exuding a threat when I brought my complaints.

The location is great, the rooms and the hotels are very pretty. The Wi-Fi is very slow to the point of not always working, walls are thin and it can get noisy and the ac didnt work even after asking to fix it. Breakfast was GREAT.

Great location, a few minutes walk from the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the main streets. The hotel is modern, elegant, spacious and welcoming. The kitchen is good and service efficient.

Stayed here for several days and the hotel is situated in a great location. Walking distance to the metro, eateries and shopping district. Stayed in a twin room which was clean, beds were very comfortable and had enough space. Have to pay to use the safe and if you shower with a larger force the water will seep out the bathroom. Other than that it's a great place to stay.

I cant believe how much this hotel has changed in 30 years. I was so excited to stay here again with my own students. I was here in 1986 as a student myself. It's so much nicer now.

Great experience at the hotel restaurant Gastrovia 61. Food and service were both exceptional, and great atmosphere as well. A little bit on the pricy side, but worth it.

Very central location, in the heart of Gran Via. The hotel lobby is spacious, with comfortable sofas and live piano music. The room is spacious with very comfortable beds. The bathroom is spacious and full (with bidet). As a negative point, curtains let in enough light. Abundant amenities. The hotel has been refurbished except for the installation of the air conditioning which is very old and noisy (even could not be turned off). Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful, varied and they replenished constantly.

Them rooms leave that wish, the door of the bathroom not closed, our room was adjacent to another (separate even by a door internal closed) and is could hear all what pasava to the other side, the internet was very slow (or not had) and them surroundings of the hotel very dirty.

We have been spending a few days in madrd, is right next to gran Vía, you have metro nearby, theatres… And the hotel is very nice, large, clean rooms and very friendly staff.

The room price is five-star (cost 125euro to the night), but the room is not the same level of price. VIEJO (no es un classico de viejo, sino viejo deel viejo), small (room measures 25 m 2 each). ELECTROMESTRICOS SUCIOS (con un color amarillo, y el aire acondicionado no funciona bien). NO VOLVERE NI advise to my friends.

Gastrovia 61 restaurant, located in the Best Western Mayorazgo hotel is a 100% cañí. Tiny, very quiet, with waiters dressed in chulapos and piped music that only sound songs about Madrid.
