Review of Meeting Point Hostels

Great people and great service at Meeting Point Hostel! I chose Barcelona’s Meeting Point Hostel for my trip to Barcelona because of its fantastic location, less than five minutes’ walk from Sants train station which made for easy access to the city’s many sites and attractions. The hostel itself was situated in a safe, pleasant neighbourhood surrounded by many buzzing restaurants and bars. Meeting Point offers a very attractive environment that was consistently well maintained and always in excellent condition. Clean, modern décor made the rooms and common areas very comfortable and many excellent facilities were included within the price, which was itself very affordable. It makes a perfect base for travellers on a budget without scrimping on quality. I was thrilled to have access to a fully-equipped communal kitchen on occasions that I preferred not to dine out. The hostel also had a lovely chill-out area with Satellite TV and an excellent Wi-Fi connection and a relaxing garden was available for guests to use as we pleased. What’s more, all facilities were serviced by the 24-hour reception, so there was always somebody ready to attend to my needs. Staff were very kind and obliging which only added to the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the place. Hostels can vary considerably and in my experience a good night’s sleep is not always guaranteed. I need not have worried. I had no trouble with any of the residents I encountered at Meeting Point. The hostel seems to attract conscientious residents who are clean, polite and interesting. What’s more, as well as the usual dorm style rooms, the hostel also offered some twin ensuite rooms if residents wanted a bit more privacy. The common areas provided a great opportunity to get talking and make some new friends from all over the globe. I found Meeting Point to be an ideal base in Barcelona. The hostel offers reasonable rates, a great atmosphere and fantastic facilities all within easy reach of the city centre. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Meeting Point and would certainly return here on future visits to Barcelona.
