Stunning hotel in the most fabulous area. Our balcony room facing the street was entirely quiet and so comfortable. The staff are amazing, especially Alex at the lobby bar. Dinner at the rooftop Solomillo restaurant surpassed all expectations. Absolutely five star!

Very clean and comfortable.

Cheap Motel standard for extremely high prices. The rooms have sub motel amenities/ standards, small, noisy, upgrade as Diamond member to a tin roof. All very funny. Worst Hilton I stayed in during the last 30 years, Not recommend.

The breakfast was good but rooms were noisy and the bathrooms had a bad smell to it. The staff weren't really willing to help. I tried to contact them on Facebook before arriving at the hotel and it took up to 4 days to get a reply. We booked the hotel for a special occasion as a treat but ended up being quite disappointed.

Very nice hotel right off the Passeig de Gracia (spelling? ), easily within walking distance of the Casa Batllo and the high end shopping district. You can also walk to Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas pretty easily too. You can also get to the port, marina, and beaches by foot too, but expect to walk a lot. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly.

Location was good, breakfast great. Customer Service was terrible. We waited 5 hours after flying from San Diego for our room to be ready on the Hilton’s Honors floor. When They finally gave us the Key to a nice room, someone knocked at our door and said they made a mistake. This was not our room. They gave us a room on lower level, not nice at all. We were so disappointed with the treatment we received.

We had a corner suite and it was phenomenal. It was quiet and yet central and close to great shopping and restaurants. The old floors were amazing and I loved the high ceilings. The room was very stylishly furnished and very comfortable for me and my two small kids to lounge in the room. The kids enjoyed the giant bathtub and there was plenty of space to run around. The hotel staff and service level was top notched. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and meet our needs.

Hotel was nice. Room wasn't ready before the designated time but they put us in another room right away. Room was clean. Hotel was nice. Staff was very attentive and nice. Would book again.

We loved this boutique hotel in a great location in Barcelona for walking and exploring the city. Tons of places to eat at all hours are just outside its doors, shopping and site seeing. A pleasant 20 minute walk gets you to the Gotic district and La Rambla. The metro is also close. The room was nice and the staff went out if there way to be helpful.

The location is good, all the sights are walkable, the breakfasts are great!

About the hotel I don't know I'm not staying, to have a drink, well, a little expensive.

Sergio Front desk rep is friendly and made several great recommendations for restaurants. It is also on the same street as the Segrada Familia about a 15 minute walk. The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable. The toilet is in a closet and the shower is also separate so another person in the room can use it at the same time. The shampoos and soaps are Osme Organic.

A good boutique hotel in a good part of Barcelona. The room itself was basic, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice although a little small. Had a lovely breakfast in the morning with a selection of items and good service. Overall a positive experience but rooms could do with a little more or better quality furniture.

The quality meat, the correct service but almost non-existent for what it takes to take care of you, the very simple letter.

The rooms are very nice but not very spacious, the location is ideal to walk to the Rambla.

No air condition during the season we were there but the room was very hot. The luxury rooms are small, but I suppose that goes along with a boutique. It smelled like burgers in our room constantly because of the restaurants outside. Very good service, for sure. Food wasn't great. Great location for shopping!

Our second visit to the Alexandra hotel in the last two years and the first since they took the Curio collection flag versus the Doubletree. The front desk staff were all very attentive and assisted with any request but the rooms are just not that special. We booked the Dream Suite and while the room itself was larger and had character it just wasn't that great. The bathroom is tiny and the layout impractical even accounting for the age of the building. The bar has been remodeled to be enclosed and the staff was new. They were cordial but that was about it. Thethe previous staff on the other hand, was welcoming and accommodating. I still love the location and overall the hotel isn't bad it just leaves you wanting more.

The terrace of this hotel called Patio is an amazing place to enjoy a Mojito in a calm atmosphere although the hotel is located next to a busy and loud street. The access to the terrace can be find on the 6th floor of the hotel. Front desk employees will guide you gently until the nearest lift! One of my fav spots for summer afternoons!

The staff is very friendly (Omar and Jose) and helpful in finding directions and getting you where you want to go. Walking distance to Las Rambla and other places
to visit. Lots of shopping nearby and places to eat. Only negative was that the restaurant breakfast buffet did not have a la cart menu too. I just could not eat so much food.

Our room on the top floor was lovely and we very much enjoyed the pool bar, which offered excellent service and a unique space to relax and meet people. We loved it! However, the service generally speaking was poor, in particular the front desk staff who seemed utterly disinterested in our satisfaction during our two-week stay. We only had breakfast one morning as we found what was offered completely over-priced at 22€ per person and, again, sullen service. We opted instead to eat our breakfasts elsewhere. We only had dinner once at the hotel restaurant; skip it if you are a vegetarian (not so uncommon in the 21st century! ) because they offered no meat alternatives. We are experienced travellers and HH members who visit Hilton hotels all over the world (as well as regular visitors to Barcelona) and I honestly don't know why this hotel has four stars to begin with. It is a lovely, very clean hotel and one or two members of the staff stood out (the barman at the pool and the house-keeping staff), but without four-star service why choose this hotel? We won't again.

Subpar Hilton… clearly in Spain they don't have any idea what customer service is. Not remotely accommodating on any front. Pool and terrace was beyond disappointing — freezing cold and no attendants poolside. No jacuzzi. Front desk was extremely unhelpful with every request made. Have no intentions of ever staying here again. Requested a little leeway with late check out to allow us an opportunity to have breakfast but were flat out denied (this shouldn't have been a problem, as we could clearly see the housekeeping staff still a few rooms over still working — the front desk was just unwilling to extend themselves to accommodate despite our Honors Gold status).

Wonderful staff and hotel in a great area. After backpacking and traveling for several days, I fell ill. The staff made it possible for me to check in a little early, which I greatly appreciated. The room and shower were excellent.

My experience at Alexandra Barcelona was very nice. The front desk was AMAZING! There was one particular front desk gentleman who checked us in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. He worked on Christmas day whom was the MOST helpful during both days. His name escapes me, but he provided the BEST service at all the Hilton's I've stayed at globally. To the manager: Please make sure he is recognized! Provide me back his name. I truly would like to know he was recognized. Thanks… Another gentleman, Jeremy, whom checked us out was also very helpful. He even went about to find my charger I left behind and had a taxi drive it to my location. I was so grateful for the service and quick thinking he provided for me. We have one more week out of two that we stayed. Enjoyed our stay at Alexandra Barcelona for the service and location to the city center.

Great hotel, restaurant and bar!

From riches to rags, Hotel Alexandra, Hotel GALLERY in hell from heaven with the same room rates at GALLERY there was including drinks from the Mini Bar in room, coffee maker, Bathrobes, slippers, toiletries Kit, 2 Tvs etc. All this at the Hotel there was not only the GALLERY attendants were passing in the afternoon X know if we needed anything from TRAPANI.

Pretty decent hotel, only drawback is I didn't have a window view and in the corridors are a bit dark … it has a nice terrace and a small pool in the back. The staff is very nice so I would say stay there but choose a window view.

I can recommend the king junior suite with bath tub on balcony. Secluded by shrubbery and relaxing. The food in the evening is okay but would recommend going out to surrounding good restaurants. Breakfast I feel is over priced but it is good. The staff are excellent, friendly and they all spoke good English. I can say it was really good and would find it hard not to stay there again on another visit. It was great service and I was sad to leave the location.

This place would have been better than average had it not been so hot in the room. We complained about the warmth and were told that they shut the AC off in the "winter". While this may sound reasonable, winter in Barcelona is still pretty warm. It was close to 80 degrees I the room! We were the told that we could just open our window to let the air in. What we weren't told is that it is extremely loud and someone could easily come in the room from the other side. I seriously recommend that this place keep the option on year round. I am not exaggerating when I say it was unacceptable how hot it was in the room.

A fantastic location, walk to 2 of the Gaudi's famous buildings. Attentive service and great breakfast. There's a nice patio area in the courtyard and a small swimming pool. On the down side, the room soundproofing is not so good.

Great location, nice bar and patio. This is the perfect spot to hit up downtown and all the great restaurants.

The bed is so hard I could sleep only few hours per night. This alone makes it a bad experience. It is also noisy. The window does not stop the noise and you can listen every car on the road, but fortunately there are few cars in the night. I am a Hilton honor gold and use to travel for about 10 weeks per years, well: I love Double Tree, but this one has been the worst so far.

Treated very well. Had a beautiful junior suite with A very nice terrace, nice view, private and a bath tub outside. Very well done breakfast as well and an attentive bar tender.

Four nights here before setting off on a cruise. Would happily have stayed on! Hotel was clean, well appointed and modern. Staff friendly and very helpful. Late night glass of wine in the street side tables very relaxing.

The staff was wonderful! When they found out we were on our honeymoon they sent a bottle of champagne up to our room. They made a reservation for us at a local restaurant for dinner. The hotel was absolutely beautiful! And the beds were super comfortable.

We were in Da Luca restaurant, and we loved it. The menu option seemed very good, with several options to choose delicious and at a nice price. The service was very fast and friendly. The place is nice with a very warm atmosphere, despite being the hotel's restaurant. We will repeat.

The Hall that leads to the Suitte fitness is very narrow.

We have just spent 3 days at the Alexandra Hotel. Location is good but the staff on reception are unfriendly, unwelcoming and unhelpful. Such a shame as rooms were good but service from staff was very poor. Even the young lady behind the bar failed to smile during the 3 days we were there! It would have been nice to have a friendly welcome at reception when we arrived but this never happened. Would not stay there again due to the unfriendly staff. We had a problem with the spa bath not working, this was dealt with very poorly — no apology and the receptionist made us feel like it was our fault. We had to move rooms to get a bath that worked but nobody even bothered to check if the new room was ok! Having paid a lot of money for a superior room we expected a much better service than we received. No iron or coffee and tea facilities in room — very poor for a 4 star hotel.

The Hotel Alexandra is well placed right off the Rambla de Catalunya and in the middle of all the Barcelona 'movida' with plenty of excellent restaurants and bars in the vicinity.
